–> Ready to Practice with the Accountability Game? –> Ready to earn a free private session with Val? Here’s how to do do both:

One of the most important things to help you stay on track with your goals is to be accountable on a regular basis. To help you with that, once a week please answer these simple questions listen below.

This Game is designed to help you become more consciously aware of your journey, to celebrate your successes and share any perceived “failures” so they can be acknowledged, healed and cleared. Mistakes are a necessary part of the journey. There are no right answers here and this is not a test. Just do your best. Doing this exercise will help you improve your skills and be more consciously aware at all times. Remember this is a journey, not a destination. The idea is for you to stay conscious and make progress.

NOTE: Gold Club Members are Eligible to Earn the Accountability Award (a Laser Coaching half hour private session, value $275, limit 4 per person per year). Here’s how Gold Members earn their sessions:

      1) Stay Accountable. Each week there will be a new Accountability Discussion for the time period of Saturday through Friday to which you can post any day of the week. You are invited to report on you efforts, progress and frustrations during the week since your last post. You don’t have to have perfect results. It is more important that you are trying, taking action and sharing what’s happening for you.

      2) When you’ve completed 12 consecutive weeks of accountability posts you will receive an email from the Coaching Club Moderator with the Subject “Congratulations – you’ve earned a laser session with Val.” This email will be sent after the new week’s Accountability Discussion has been posted to the Forum. If you miss a week, just start your count over the next week. (Note: All students will benefit from this exercise. However, you must be a Gold Member to earn a free session with Val.)

      3) In the Congratulations email, you’ll receive instructions on how to schedule your 30 minute private consultation. Use your time for animal communication mentoring, healing, and/or Val’s help working with your own animal(s).

      4) Post each week during the Saturday to Friday timeframe. All posts are automatically time stamped and should align with the appropriate week to apply toward earning a free session with Val. Note: You can’t wait for 3 months then do 12 week’s worth of reporting in 1 week! Having the practice over time will strengthen your Animal Communication muscles.

MEMBER POSTING INSTRUCTIONS: Just copy these 5 questions into your comment below and answer them. Then click Post.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week?

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?

Tip: To copy the questions, highlight the text and type ctrl-C (hold down the ctrl key and type a C) then place the cursor in the Reply box and use ctrl-V to paste.

Remember the weekly posting period runs from Saturday through noon 12:00pm Central (Texas) United States Friday which is the same as 5pm in system time shown at the top of your posts (it is the Universal Time (Greenwich, UK)). You can check your own time using the Time Zone converter at:

      https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter-classic.html

Note: Upgrade to Gold membership at any time by emailing [email protected] and letting us know.

While only posts answering the above questions count as Accountability Posts, you are welcome to comment on anyone else’s posts. We are here to learn from and inspire each other too! Provide feedback to others and we will learn together.

      Much love, Val

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you? Yes: 2×15 min guided meditation accessing my vulnerability, painting:2 hours, spending time in the Mountains walking.

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
Yes. I have Connect With a cat to ask him stop marking/peeing outside my door. He did for some time, then “forgot” Our agreement and marked again. He helps me get in touch With my aggravation when he “does not do as told” and I see I loose my empathy when those feelings surface. My intention is about getting him to stop, not trying to understand why he keeps on peeing.

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?
I challanged myself writing to Martha about Hawkeye. This is New to me and I feel vulnerable in the prosess of opening up and exposing myself. Think it’s about the fear of doing something wrong and getting criticised.
I sometimes talk to my cat in a “high gear” mode. The dog barks everytime I do so, reminding me to calm my energy. I’m greatful for the Insight and help from her.

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week?
I’m still working on my accurasy and trust.

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so. I did communicate and have posted what I got. Still waiting for Martha to reply.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
No, I did not! I will dive into the games and see what’s there. Thank you!

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?
Yes I meditated 5 times this week. Guided and 432 ha tones
      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
Yes. I communicated with Hawkeye and Tina. Tina had just been fed and I said if you want to be ridden you have to leave your food and follow me. We have to ride before it gets too hot. If you don’t want to I understand and we can try tomorrow. She followed me to the gate and said, you know I have been wanting to go for a ride. I love her.
      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?
It’s getting easier every day. I gave 2 healing sessions to dogs with prior abuse and they had amazing responses.
      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week? None

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so. Yes I spoke with lovely Hawkeye and received great advice that I posted.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? Darn, I forgot.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you? Yes, I spent about 1 ¼ hours meditating. Meditations were: Val’s Observer Stance Meditation (From Barometers of our Soul) / Guided Meditation / Gratitude Meditation.
      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? Yes, I went to the local dog shelter. I was so relieved to see that they really take good care of the dogs there and they all seem to have enough food, there was a high standard of cleanliness, and dogs had toys and space to run around. I especially connected with 1 dog (Elmo) that was there. It was quite a beautiful experience as I spent a bit of time with him. He told me that he even though he was there in the shelter, my presence with him made him feel so loved. I communicated with him and told him I would come back to see him again and play with him and he could connect with me anytime even if I wasn’t there. I also told him that someone else who has lots of love might come and take him home.
      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week? I would like to celebrate that I am making very special connections with a few of my fellow students. It is so wonderful to be surrounded by like-minded people who understand and share the same passion.

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week? I wanted to adopt Elmo (who I communicated with this week from the dog shelter) but I know it is not the right time to do so. My husband is just not ready for us to get another dog. I felt like Elmo and I had a very special connection. I took his photo and will keep the connection with him. Hopefully he will have a forever loving home soon but if he doesn’t, I will be visiting him.

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so. I tried to connect with Hawkeye this week, but he asked me to come back later to talk. He told me he was tired and needed a cat nap. I will try again and will post my results later this week.
      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? Yes, I played a game with to guess the color of mini tennis balls. I tried twice and got the color right one of those times. My cat Tiki is unpredictable so I played of game of guessing where he might be sleeping outside. He likes 4 different spots and you never know where he will be. I connected with him before I went outside and tried to guess which spot I would find him sleeping. I was correct.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating?

Every day about an hour except for one day of multi-interruptions. Acceptance of “what is” and “what I am” and being enough.

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week?

Tried to connect with a little Jack Russell, Archer, who stayed with me while her mom was out of town. Very skittish. Spent a lot of time being present with her so she would feel safe. By the time she left on Saturday she felt much calmer and more trusting. Also had Moby, the deaf Great Dane, over the weekend. Tried to feel his pain. He mostly felt detached, waiting for his mom to come back but not unhappy.

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?

Feel like I’m finally releasing the confusion of “should and shouldn’t have,” what I like or don’t like and what I want or don’t want, so I can more fully experience and accept what is.

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week?

Getting out of my own way by lowering my expectations. At the same time catching myself automatically thinking “I can’t, it’s too hard, I’m not smart enough, strong enough or brave enough,” and reminding myself, “I don’t know that’s true. Maybe I can. I won’t really know until I try.”

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)?

      I did and posted.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games this week?

I’ve been playing with my marbles without agenda, just appreciating what comes up without attaching expectations, meaning or self-criticism. It helps me stay out of the shadow world of shoulds.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?
Yes, I’ve meditated everyday for 5-15 minutes. I use Val’s guided meditations or the ones in Carol Gurney’s book.

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
Every time after I meditate and before connecting with an animal I set the intention to communicate with a specific animal and it all flows nicely. It also helps me with my confidence.

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?
Now that I am on vacation I have more time to read, meditate and practice animal communication. I’ve been getting positive feedback from the owners of the dogs I’ve talked to.

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week?
I need to be more aware of my body in order for me to receive or be more receptive of the physical sensations the animals send while we communicate. I feel I am missing some accuracy and more physical sensations while I connect with the animals.

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so.
No, I have been helping my brother’s dog who was adopted a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been helping him settle in his new family and house. I’ve been also talking to a friend’s dog who is very old now.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
I am still saying hello to the animals I encounter when I go out for walks.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?

Yes, I’m hooked on Ananda Bosman’s S’OM'”A” cd. Every nite before I go to sleep, for about an hour. I’ve been forgetting to include the 7-14 minutes in the mornings I’ve started doing because I now start my days listening to the last track on that cd. It puts me in a great frame of mind for starting the day.

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?

As always, I try to remain open to anything that might come to me from anyone. I’ve been getting thoughts (not sure if they’re mine or hers) from a neighbor’s puppy who is not a happy camper! They have decided that she’s a “working dog”, and have stuck her out with their sheep to protect them from predators. Of course they didn’t ask her if that was ok with her, and it’s not. She’s digging under the fence to get out, and has wandered off a couple of times, always to be brought back and stuck back out with the sheep. I keep trying to tell the lady what she’s feeling, but the response is always, “she’s a working dog.” Today we may hit 100 degrees, and she’s left out in the heat with the sheep and the rest of the non-human animals. They did get her a little pool, but I wonder who’s going to keep it filled with cool water for her? I’m not sure what to do about this situation. There was a story on the news last nite about a 14-month old puppy who died when she was left out in the heat a couple weeks ago. I told the lady about it and she told me they were going to get their dog a pool. 🙁 Meanwhile, the newest puppy gets to be in the cool house with the humans. This doesn’t help “working dog” puppy when she sees that.

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?

      Nothing new.

      4. What challenges or questions do you have about communicating with animals this week?

This is the hard part for me. Encountering situations that I would love to change to help the animal, and holding back what I really want to say to the humans when I haven’t been asked. When do we “accept what is” (this seems to be one of the main themes right now), and when do we intervene on the animals’ behalf to maybe save their lives?

      5. Did you communicate this week with the Featured Animal of the Month (FAT)? If so, what happened? If not, why not? If you did, please post your results communicating with the featured animal in the Discussion of that animal if you have not already done so.

      No, didn’t have time.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?

      Again, no time.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?
5-20 minutes silent sitting. Mindfulness throughout the day.
      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
With my feral cat. Don’t hear muchh of stories or images. She meows when I ask her if she is hungry and how she is doing. Today she just came by to lay close to the porch and enjoyed the moment and my company and the company of my cats watching her from the inside.
      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week?
      None
I finally connected with FAT. Hawkeye told me the following: I like it here but I would like more playtime. Feeling alone. This was on Sunday, 4.15pm Eastern time. Likes strings and balls to play with. Hawkeye is a bit skittish. Likes to look out of the windo. Doesn’t like the litter box but I am a good girl. Dry food only but knows there is more food for me to eat. Momm is working all day. My heart hurts sometimes (emotionally). No other pet here. I am alone. Love sleeping. Highlight of the day is when mom comes home.
      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not?
Do the false and true game sometimes.

      1. MEDITATION: TYPE, TIMES

A variety of Val’s plus kirtan kriya. About 15 minutes daily minus one day.

      2. CONNECT WITH INTENTION TO COMMUNICATE, RESULTS

Rosalie the Lorelei: Rosalie is a feral cat who started visiting my back patio in February (about two weeks after Shoshana’s injured paw compelled her to come inside to live). Rosalie calls desperately for food, but she runs a short distance away while I’m on the patio putting it out for her. I connected to ask her why she is afraid of me. An image came of her in an oval-shaped dark area as a kitten lying on her back on a table with a woman leaning over her. Then the words: “I’m on my own now.”

      3. CELEBRATE

      (a) A thank you to Jade for the connection to the February Q&A healing technique. It works when I have to move patches to my eyes when they itch, but the request was originally for Shoshana, my cat, who has two symmetrical quarter- and half-dollar-size areas on her back where her fur in thinning. I had made an appointment with a vet but cancelled it when I realized the probable cause. She had had two vaccinations on her recent annual wellness visit, and the needles had maybe been inserted incorrectly. That had happened to Julie-Belle at a vet’s in another state. When I panicked about why she was losing her hair, the vet explained about the needle not entering the right skin layer and that her hair would grow back (it did). Anyway, I have to be more assiduous about doing the exercise to speed up the process for Shoshana. Incidentally, it was fun to replay the session because it was my first Q&A, and now I can associate members’ names and voices with their other contributions.

      (b) I’m finally beginning to try animal communication. In 1978, I was a student at the Breadloaf Writers Conference in Middlebury, Vermont (the grand-daddy of all writers conferences), having been admitted for my ~100-page manuscript about animals talking on Christmas Eve (fictional version of the legend).

      4. CHALLENGES OR QUESTIONS

      (a) I feel decidedly ungenerous to the mourning doves who visit the bird feeder because they come in a flock of about a dozen a few times a day and keep away the cardinals, woodpeckers, chickadees, and others I prefer as guests. The nut and fruit brand is expensive, and the doves poo all over the patio and driveway.

      (b) In Heaven, I wish my cats, parakeets, squirrels, and chipmunks would have the same bodies as their earthly ones (perfected, of course). However, M. Scott Peck (bestselling author of The Road Less Traveled) wrote about humans relating as light beings (and presumably non-human animals can, too) in In Heaven as on Earth: A Vision of the Afterlife. His guess is not my preference, but as long as there’s reunion with my indoor and outdoor pets.

      (c) Frustration continues: I’m not communicating sufficiently with my six cindoor ats though we’re affectionate. Need, e.g., to learn why Lily-Grace won’t let me comb through her mat. And why Shoshana lets Raven smack her in anger without provocation or retaliation but she chases Lily-Grace who keeps to herself.

      (d) Frustration, too, that I haven’t learned how to use my iPhone 8 (first smart phone), which I need to do to take and upload photos to ATCC.

      5. FAT COMMUNICATION: posted result.

      6. INTUITION GAMES, RESULTS

      (a) Definitely not a game: I was leaving the laptop for a moment and decided suddenly to close the cover. When I returned, I saw that a cat had upchucked on the table and part of the computer.

      (b) Cats understanding what they should do: when I used to photograph my first cat and, later, my second one, they knew how to pose front, one side, back, the other side.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?
I’m not sure if what I did would be considered meditating or not. What I did was when I was anxious and had what I call “hamster on the wheel thinking”, I, while lying down, relaxed my shoulders and asked the angels to help quieten my mind and lied on the couch with a relatively silent mind. I ended up falling asleep and don’t know how long I was doing that before I fell asleep.

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? Yes, my cats of course. Somewhat said that she got from communicating with Hawkeye that he felt like he was undervalued. I told Hawkeye that he is wise and I love how forgiving he is, etc. I also connected with Alicia Hamilton’s horse, Tina, to ask her something asked me to ask her. Tina and I talked about that a little bit.I also talked to a kitten in a group I’m in on Facebook. The kitten is in foster care right now (or was at the time at least), and the future human wanted to know if the kitten had any names he’d like. I commented to the human saying I was getting “Hulk” and I also got the name “Hank”. AFTER I said that, the kitten’s future human said that “Hank” is going to be his middle name!!!!! I got the name Hank BEFORE being told the kitten’s middle name will be Hank!!!!!!

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week? Picking up on the name “Hank” BEFORE being told “Hank” will be the kitten’s middle name.

Yes, he’s my cat. One communication I had with him was telling him that he’s wise, that I love his forgiving soul, etc. since someone in the group said she got from her communication with him that he felt undervalued.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? Yes, I communicated with Alicia Hamilton’s horse, Tina. I introduced myself to Tina. She knew who I was. Perhaps I don’t need to introduce myself anymore. haha! Anyway, I asked Tina if she knew that she’s moving. She said she knew. I told her that she doesn’t need to be stressed, worried, or anxious. I told her though that if she does feel those things to tell her mom. I also told her that she might feel sad, but that she might really like her new home. I told her that I’m sure her mom had a good reason for moving. She agreed she might really like her new home. Tina also wanted to talk about her peppermint treats. She really likes them! I got the scent of peppermint and a green color but I also got a light tan color, like the color of light tan dog treats. Tina said they help brush her teeth. Tina also snorted and showed her front teeth and I think she did that after saying that. It was funny! We both had to go. I kissed and rubbed her face.

Did not feel well, because the aircon at work was blowing directly on my right side, causing bad pain in my throat and my right ear.

      1. Did you meditate this week? If so, about how much time total did you spend meditating? What meditations did you do? If you didn’t meditate, why didn’t you?

Nearly every day. Saturday and Sunday I was teaching a Reiki workshop and mediated with the students as I taught them the basic Reiki meditations. I also did two attunements for each student every day; attunements are a meditation for both the teacher and the students.

Other days I sometimes did the Reiki meditations and sometimes just sat quietly

      2. Did you connect with the intention to communicate with an animal this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? I attempted to connect with my own cats a couple of times without success.

      3. What would you like to celebrate about your journey in learning how to communicate with animals this week? Nother – I was too busy doing other things to work with it.

Not yet – just did not get to it. It was an extremely busy week.

      6. Did you play one of the Intuition Games (see the games information within the Animal Talk Club Gold/Silver membership resources) this week? If so, what happened? If not, why not? No I did not get to this.

I intend to do better next week. I know I can do this if I just do it.
