We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them. Enjoy!

Hi Angela. I felt drawn to talk with Mamma Kitty today. Thank you for sharing her as an animal teacher.
My general impression of her is that she is very kind, likes to check things out around her, and hunts. She is very watchful. She sometimes like to be alone, away from the other kitties. She walks very proudly.

I opened with introducing myself, and asking if we could talk. M: Oh, of course, what would you like to know? Me: How are you? M: I’m great, I’m loved. Me: Wonderful. What do you do with your day? M: I prance around the yard, always watching for something I can chase. Even a leaf skipping across the yard. Me: You’re very active then. How old are you? M: 3 or 4. Me: What would you like to share? M: I have a wonderful life. I feel secure. I can walk the fence, or be in the house. I can join others, or be by myself. Me: That sounds great. What do you think of us humans? We domestic animals couldn’t survive without you (feeling a sense of gratitude from her), except I do catch mice from time to time. Most of you humans are loving souls. Me: Thank you, I’m glad you see us that way. So, what is your purpose Mamma Kitty? M: To be a companion. To protect and inform. (I see her alerting you and the other animals if she sees something she thinks you should know about.) Me: Very interesting. You’re a good kitty. M: Thank you. Me: Anything else? M: No, I’m gonna go play now. Me: OK, thank you so much for talking with me.

Thanks for connecting with Mamma Kitty! You really captured so many facets of Mamma! She is around 10 to 11 years old actually, but young at heart. FYI I connected with BoDudley 🙂

      Hi Angela,
Thanks for offering Mamma Kitty as an animal teacher. I’m connecting with her as I write this. I get that she’s contemplative and pretty calm usually, but sometimes she gets in spats.
I asked her how she’s doing and if she’s good. She said she is and either said she’s been playing with her ball or sent me an image of her playing with her ball). I asked her if she was playing with her ball this morning. She said, “yes!” It’s 7:50 AM PST right now.

She also said she likes to go outside and explore. Sometimes farther and longer than others, sometimes not real far. She said she likes to lie in the sun (inside on the carpet or somewhere soft) or outside in the grass.

She said she loves the bed.

She said you comment on her cute nose.

She said she lives with her babies who are adult cats now. She knows their hers and loves living with them and sometimes still takes care of them.

She said she’s very comforting to you when you need it if you’re worries, stressed, or sad.

She said she loves treats, but doesn’t eat a whole lot of them at once. She likes crunchy treats.

I told her I’m going to go now. I told her I’d love to talk again and she said she would, too. I wished her a wonderful weekend, told her I love her, rubbed her face and head a little bit, and gave her a kiss. She said, “Thank you.”

YES contemplative and calm and then she gets in a spat, exactly. She very well might have been playing with this soft squishy green and white ball I left on the floor in case they wanted to play with it. I don’t see her playing much with it, but she very well may have been … I am Alaska time, which is an hour earlier than Pacific, so I might have been asleep; I think she was down stairs at that moment though (where the ball is).

Yes she loves to explore, just not quite as far, now that we live in the forest in Alaska now. In the desert, she roamed more. But like you said, off and on. She loves lying out on the grass/moss etc! She also loves hanging out on all kinds of soft furniture inside. She loves the bed the best yes. I do comment on her “heart nose.” 🙂 SHe lives with one of her babies (Sebastian) plus Ezla cat. She use to live with several more of her kitties, but thats another story for another day. Ask about that! I love watching Sebastian and Mama Kitty groom. Sometimes Sebastian grooms her in a motherly way, but for the most part, you can really tell who the mama is. Sometimes she even gets annoyed and hisses and swats and then Sebastian submits further, and she grooms her. She feels very present with me absolutely; thank you mama kitty! She loves crunchy treats; I feed them mostly raw, but she sure does love those crunchy treats I feed them. Thanks Martha. So happy you communicated with Mama Kitty.

Hi Angela! Thanks for the feedback. Mamma Kitty is a sweetheart 🙂 Wow! Alaska! I don’t come across a lot of people from Alaska. Living in the forest must be beautiful! You mentioned living in the desert. Where?
That’s funny about Sebastian sometimes grooming Mamma Kitty! I, too, feed my cats raw treats (raw freeze dried I think). Next time I talk to Mamma Kitty, if I remember, I’ll ask her about living with her other babies. So, now you have Mamma Kitty, Sebastian, and Ezla? Any other beings in furry coats? 🙂

Hi Martha 🙂 just the three in furry coats. I lived in Moab Utah for about 13 years, before moving to southeastern Alaska. Are you in the desert somewhere?

Hey Angela! I haven’t been to Moab, Utah. I currently live in Los Angeles, California on the west side. I’m not far from the beach. I used to live in New Mexico though.
      What is southeastern Alaska like?

Wow LA! Visited years ago. I really liked the creative potential alive an well there. I live in a small town called Haines and it is epically gorgeous … rainforest like with deep wild woods, ocean, and rivers converging. Remote but pretty normal pace of life in town with everybody rushing around to work like everywhere else ha! There are definetly costs and benefits of living here. Career wise I feel a great challenge to pursue my healing work here, due to such small population. Moose, bears, salmon oh my

The natural beauty where you lives sounds amazing! Depending on the sort of people who lives there and whether or not they believe in healing work, would definitely be a factor in terms of pursuing your healing work. What sort of healing work do you do?

As for the moose, bears, and salmon, I love seeing wildlife around!

I started connecting with Mamma Kitty and asked her about her other babies she lived with. She said she had two litters (or maybe just a lot of kittens). She said some passed on and others were given to family and friends. She said she was an still is a great mommy!

She said sometimes she is like a mommy to you.

I asked her what else (as in what else she’d like to talk about or what else does she have to say). She said she’s with you helping you and guiding you in your healing work and is right next to you or near you (sometimes floating above/around/nearby next to you) while you do it. She said she’s giving healing energy, directing it to where it’s needed most, and guiding you. She says you’re great at your healing work. I asked her about the floating around part since she hasn’t passed on. She said it’s a metaphor-floating around is what it’s like sometimes and that energy floats. She said it’s a way to say when she’s nearby and also refers to when she’s walking around from one room to another or one place in the room to another while you’re doing the healing work. She said she likes playing a part in the healing work and being instrumental in it. I also just got that you play an instrument and she likes it when you do.

She also said she likes feathers and the feathers in Dream Catchers and that you have one or some. She also said she likes when you touch her face with a feather and sent me an image of that I think. I don’t think I got all of the image though. Or maybe it was in the process of coming through.

She said she likes to bring you things.

She says she loves the bed and loves routines. She said you and she have a special routine or something special the two of you do.

She again told me she loves the window. She says she likes to meditate while in the window. She says she gets visions fro her past life while looking out the window.

I also got about a Slip and Slide or kids running through the sprinklers.

I told her I was going to close the conversation now. It’s 8:14 am PST right now. She said she was going to explore outside (and see what she can get into-haha!) I told her I look forward to talking to her again. She said, “Me, too!” She gave me a kiss. I wished her a wonderful weekend and she thanked me and wished me the same. I gave her a kiss on her cute nose. She smiled and purred.

Hi Martha. Yes I have feathers around and YES I playfully put the feathers in her face. happy she likes it. I will explore more about her bringing me things. Yes she loves the bed and makes sense that she loves routines. I feel that we have a special routine of cuddling in the mornings! Aaaah. Mama kitty LOVES the windows. I witness her meditating while in the window, sounds right! “She says she gets visions fro her past life while looking out the window.” Awesome. I’d love to hear more about that. I also got about a Slip and Slide or kids running through the sprinklers. There are no kids around or sprinklers, but maybe metaphor for playing or an image from the past where I lived for a small bit with several roomates, all of whom were rowdy kid like mountain bikers running around. I’m glad she was excited to go explore outside and “see what she could get into.” I will respond to the rest of your insightful conversation, very soon To be continued…

Martha’s communication continued! … Yes mama loves to lie on the grass as well as on the reiki massage table by the window, as well as pillows and other soft places. (more on my healing work in private message to you). I got Mama Kitty about 11 years ago with a little kitten of hers b/c she had just had a litter. She (Minnie Mouse Catcher) was injured and died. I went back and got another kitten b/c I was enjoying so very much the connection with the tiny kitten. I named him Skunky (Skunkers). She then had the second litter of kittens you spoke of. then fixed. I loved our sweet little kitty family living by the river in Utah. One of my sweeties died as a kitten. But for several years I had my Mama Kitty and Sebastian along with three males (skunky and the other two from that last litter which I hope to mention more soon). During a string of sudden moves and other details, I became separated from Fred, George, and Skunky. I still do not know what happened. I will dive more into that in the future I hope! And I hope to post pics so that I can have you or anyone interested explore their “fates.” Oh shoot, I have to go, still to be continued. Hope this all makes sense…Thanks for your patience and time.

Martha Breeding Continued! Mama Kitty “is like a mommy to me.” Yes that sounds right and so sweet. Sometimes Mama Kitty, sometimes call her Mommy!, sometimes Mama Kid. I think as far as her bringing me things, that must be mice and choice parts! Everything you said about the healing work and helping me and giving and directing and the floating…wow thats wonderful and very much resonates with my experience of her. Thanks! And I do not play and instrument but I have had drums and some other instruments and I often daydream of my baby grand piano that I had as a kid and my parents still have it. I do like to hum and sing to my cats though I am no “singer.” And I do play music a lot and dance, though I have not been doing that as much. I will start that back up!

Hi Angela! Thanks for the feedback! I love how you two have a morning cuddling routine. I think what you mentioned must have been what she was talking about regarding bringing you things. I think that’s very sweet 🙂 I also love how she helps you with healing work and is so present when you do it! As for the pictures you mentioned posting of the other cats, I’d love to see them. Sometime it might be interesting to connect with them, too. She could very well have been referring to the piano and drums. In regards to the feathers, I love that you brush her face with them and that she enjoys it 🙂 I also wonder if when I got “Dream Catcher”, if there was any connection to the name “Minnie Mouse Catcher”. Maybe there wasn’t. It could have just been saying “like feathers in a dream catcher”. I love that she meditates in the window and how much she enjoys exploring outside. Thanks for all your feedback! Mamma Kitty is truly a special and sweet girl 🙂 Love to Mamma Kitty!

Hi Angela. Sorry to be a bit late in posting about Mamma Kitty. I did try and connect with her a few times and she seems to have a lovely kindly and patient nature.
I’m probably making it up but when I asked her what she likes to do I got that she likes to chase something like a wand with pink and purple feathers on it. Also that she likes to sit beside you with her head on your knee. She also likes to hit a red plastic ball around and to jump up onto a cream counter top in what seemed to be the kitchen.
When I asked what she likes to eat I got biscuits from a red plastic bowl also fresh chicken and something like small fish (pilchards?) taken from a tin.
      Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

HI Angela, thanks for talking with Mama. She jumps up on stove which has cream colored top … when I have their raw chicken or beef in a cast iron skillet to thaw/warm. She does sometimes eat from a tin when I have been eating sardines and I share a little bit with her. She chases an large eagle feather that I use specifically for playing with kitties; sometimes they just ignore my attempts ;). Yes she likes being in my lap or near me, so on my knee sounds accurate. there is not a red plastic bowl but there is a dark brown pottery cup and small plate and bowl. There is no red plastic ball. You got quite alot of accurate info… TRUST YOURSELF!!

On august 27 I connected with Mamma kitty,
I am finally able to write some of my finding, unfortunately i was not able to write down everything right away so some of the details escape me.
I just feel happiness around her, feel very precious, likes to be cleaned, feels like she is happier being inside than outside. She shows me a necklace made of crystal, she stand tall and sit tall, then I realized she is telling me to stand tall and study and read and move forward she is telling me “you are precious”. (When I get images i don’t doubt the message but it is like a charade, she has already figured that out)
After this she is showing me the way she perceives and heals, it is very cool, it is like a 360 degree translucide screen around her, she knows everything from this view all the way to source it seems. I love connecting with her and wish to do it again, she has some more to teach me. Thank you so much

Berenice, I noticed my post responding to your communication with mama kitty is not here. I thought it was properly sent, weeks ago! so i will respond again … She loves inside and outside though i am not surprised that she says she is happiest inside xo. love what you say about decoding the charade of messages we get in intuitive reading and communicating with animals, totally feel that. I like what she told you about standing tall and that you are precious, very sweet. I was likely wearing an amethyst pendant during that time and I am still wearing this necklace … it is hemp cord knotted and wrapped around an amethyst. good one! And wow! the 360 view straight to source … i am going to ask mama kitty about this, amazing. thanks so much for connecting and i apologize that i had not properly sent my response to you in September.
