We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

3/11: Yes I know i’m silly, Fiona says. She says she likes my randomness. She says she loves pouncing pouncing pouncing and I love seeing what you are going to do. Oh you do Fiona, I said, and asked her to tell me more. She says that she saw pictures in her head of me running around talking with my cats and then back to talk with her, back and forth, and that wow I am entertaining. I thanked her and said that I see her also being very spastic and fun and lighthearted, but that she is shy sometimes shy too, but not for long. Your just cautious when you don’t know yet, is that right Fiona, i asked. She says Yes. I see her turning her head back and forth playfully even when waiting for food. “Yes I just feel so happy.” Its kind of like humming while you eat angela. That is so funny I told her. “I love love love mice and I like my toys.” I see her playing on some sort of white dirt that looks like really course salt, over a black sheet. It looks like some sort of groundcover/weedcover for garden or yard. “but robin doesn’t like me playing with that.” Yes that’s understandable, I told Fiona. She said,”Why?” I said, Well maybe she is working really hard Fiona and has a goal to complete, kinda of like, if you were hunting a bird and then sometime chased the bird away. She says she’s got it now, cool. Fiona says, “Sometimes I talk to birds and don’t hunt them exactly, at least not when I’m not hungry and just feeling curious.” My kitty Sebastian does that too Fiona, I told her. I said, Yes you two would love each-other, though she is pretty shy, but I think you two would really feel happy and ver very playful together. Fiona is very harmonizing. I see her playing with laundry. Fiona says, “I feel like everything is a game though I get the sense that it is not.”

      Hi Angela,
Thank you for connecting with Fiona. She’s a sweet sweet girl. 🙂 Very “mama cat” to everyone. She doesn’t go outside, although they do have access to the outside through a cattery that is attached to the back door of the house. She does love to go out there and sun and play. I’m not sure what the white dirt on the black sheet could be, but I’ll take a look around and see if there is something similar! She does bird and squirrel watch from the cattery and loves to do that! She’s a happy girl for the most part. She does seem to mourn the loss of companions more than the others (we’ve recently had 3 cats pass away and that’s been hard on her).

      Hi Robin,
Thanks for offering Fiona as an animal teacher.
I’m connecting with Fiona as I write this. The first thing she said was, “I’m a Princess.” She said to capitalize the “P”.
She said she liked Buttercups (like it’s a name of someone or her nickname”. She also said she’s a little cross eyed.

She said sometimes she gets a little afraid of the other cats-like they’re a little bossy. She said she hides under the bed sometimes when they get bossy.

She said she misses Sammi in his physical body, but hangs out with him in Spirit. She said you give her lots of attention, too 🙂

She said she loves it when you pick her up.

She said she loves the laser toy! She said to put the exclamation mark. She sent me an image of her playing with the laser toy. It was more like a video actually. It had her doing the stretch-pounce type action to try to get the “red dot”. It also had her doing a walk and then flip off the wall to symbolize how exciting it is to play with the laser toy. She also then sent me another video of her doing the “wiggle the butt” move while playing with the laser toy.

She said she’s going to do that now in her dreams and will talk to me later. I told her to have a great time and thanked her for talking with me. I told her I look forward to talking to her again and to have a wonderful weekend. She thanked me and wished me the same and rubbed my chin and purred. I petted her and gave her a kiss. She showed me an image of her walking away with her tail in the air and curled a little at the top. Love to Fiona!
