We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

      Hi Elizabeth,
      Thank you for sharing Frankie!
Are you really in Sherman Oaks? I saw where it said you are.
Anyway, I was scrolling though the pictures and saw Frankie’s. He said that he’d take me places I’ve never been or something like that. I feel that Frankie is very mysterious.

I also worry a lot and am worrying about some things a lot lately. Without telling Frankie about my worries, he told me everything is going to be okay.

When looking at Frankie’s picture I got an image of desert sands and of his fur blowing. “Wise” also came to me.

He says he likes to hide there (where he is in the picture) and also hang out there and watch what goes on.

He asked me to pick him up. I picked him up and stroked his head and neck and did my fingers tips a little bit and stroked him some more.

I asked Frankie if he can tell me what his home life is like. It came to me that there is a teenage male or maybe early 20’s.

Frankie also said he’s (himself) is happy. He said he “rules the roost.”

He gave an image of him playing with human ankles by playfully attacking the feet.

      He said he’s very calm.

He said there is/was a flowered bed spread.

I asked him what he likes to eat, but I’m not clear on his answer.

He didn’t have anything else he wanted to say. We’ll talk again if he wants.

        Hi Martha:
I would have replied to your email right away but this is the first I’ve seen it. I wonder why the program doesn’t notify us when there is an email. I apologize for not getting back to you immediately. Thank you so much for connecting with Frankie. Yes, I am in Sherman Oaks. Are you familiar with it? Suburb of LA. Frankie is very elegant but can be demanding. He is his own cat – knows what he likes and will refuse, politely, if he doesn’t want it. He is indeed a wise kitty and peaceful for the most part. He does love to have his head stroked and will press his large, wide head into yours to snuggle. He’s a ragdoll so has lots of hair and a long, bushy tail – a big cat. Yes, absolutely, he rules the roost for sure. He will not allow our other cat, Daphne, to cross his boundaries or impose on what he thinks is his – namely me. He is very devoted to me and will always come when I call him. I’m sorry, there is no teenage male. We did have a dog (he was quite the active teenager type dog) but sadly, he passed 2 years ago. Frankie is a very calm kitty overall, you are right, and very sweet. Thank you so much for contacting him, Martha. I appreciate your time and I’m sorry I didn’t respond sooner. I certainly would have had I known your communication was here! Many blessings, Elizabeth

3/14/19: Frankie feels elegant, regal, sweet, shy, and almost like a ghost, in a pretty way. I heard a very soft almost breathy broken-up sounding meow. Frankie seduces me in this pic. I also felt that she could claw the hell out of someone. I see her having fierce boundaries but not aggressive, just wise and clear cut. I see her as soft with you (Elizabeth) and those that are good to you and her?. I see her having a protector energy in regards to you, Elizabeth. I saw/heard that she loves her catnip cream colored mouse toy. Are there marbles in a bowl on your table that she likes to paw at? I feel/see her lay her head on my shooulder and nibbles if I move, but soft nibbles. I imagine her shaking her tail like a rattlesnake. Does she love to sit on the stairs near your den, as well as, in the den? I get that she hates loud noises. I get that she tolerates being in a crate in the car. She feels calm, elusive but playful, especially with anything dangling like the edges of rugs, toys, or keys. She loves to sleep on the bed. She loves luxuriating inside. Is she an inside kitty? She loves to watch insects and loves the other kitty. I asked her if she had babies ever? I did not get a clear answer. “I am in charge of me. Daphne is in charge of herself. But yes I am in charge and my power is not harsh, just clear and controlled.” She says she loves to be brushed and that her favorite toy is anything that moves. a rope toy or string. I feel that she is a strong huntress even if not an outside kitty. She says she is happy and loving life and that she feels safe and secure, but that she misses you when you are gone. She told me to look beneath the surface … that she is kind of like a Tom cat and just a plain ol kitty cat too. I saw an image of her dancing with her paws. I saw her seductively and jazz-like, walking away and towards me.

        Hello Angela:
Thank you so much for contacting Frankie! How delighted I am to share him with you. Yes, he is a male and quite a demanding one. He is very elegant and sweet. He would definitely fight if he had too but he is a big, sweet boy who loves to get his head rubbed and will look up with his big, beautiful blue eyes with love in his heart. He is devoted to me and will always come when I call him. I could see him having a protective energy towards me – that would certainly be his style. He’s a big, ragdoll cat with an enormous tail. He is very calm typically; likes to play outdoors in the grass. I’m afraid he is only tolerant of our other cat, Daphne, (we’ve only had her for 2 years) but seems to tolerate her better than before. Frankie likes it outside mostly. He likes to lay in the sun on the carpet in the driveway. We put it out there for them to lay upon. He spends a lot of his time there when the weather is nice. If it’s inclement he will find various places in the house to sleep but not usually on the bed. Frankie does love to be brushed but if his long hair is matted he will tell me it hurts. I think you are right – that he misses me when I am gone. He is always waiting for me when I get home. He is a great cat and I love him dearly. Thank you so much, Angela, for contacting him. I hope you will do so again! Blessings, Elizabeth
