We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them. Enjoy!

      Hi Chigusa,
I was looking through the ATH pictures and Mig asked me if I was going to ask about her paw.
I asked Mig how her paw is. She is happy and excited to say it’s all better now! She said sometimes it’s still a little tiny bit tender from time to time here and there, but they’re just twinges and all is well! She said she’s back to her normal life style. She also said she’s been doing better about being around other dogs sometimes, depending on the personality and/or size of the other dog.

She said she enjoys truffle hunting class and something about “color” came to me-something about colored objects used in training.

She also said she got a new toy or would like a new toy.

She said, too, that you’ve been doing reiki on her and that she enjoyed when I massaged her. She is asking for another one.
I’m working on her ears and got the image of ice cream melting. She’s saying it feels really good.
I massaged her ears, face, head, legs, spine, tail bone, and tail and along her tail and spine and in her spine and tail bone I sent her healthy, warm, green, white, and gold energy. She said, “thank you,” and said she’s going to take a nap or get ready to go on a walk. We said we’d talk again later (another time). I told her to have a wonderful weekend and she wished me the same and kissed me and I petted her head.

        Hello @martha-breeding,
Thank you for talking with Mig and giving her reiki.

Yes, indeed she is all good. She still has some hard parts where her toe is missing but I was told by vet that they may go away or they may be there forever. Not bothering her, though.

Not sure if it was you who told me to give her a soft toy. I gave her those and she loves them. She used to tear them up a minute we gave those so I stopped giving them to her but she is keeping it intact (for the most part, she ate a rabbit year :)).

When you connected with her, I was in Japan, so I cannot say if she looked better after your massage or not but it was nice that someone came to visit her while I’m gone. 🙂 Thank you.

        Thanks,
        Chigusa

hi Chigusa. What follows concerns Mig so I thought I would post it here – Val also asked me to post it generally to feedback to everyone so if you see it twice – sorry.
Report back from my 15 minute coaching session with Val:
I have occasionally felt that I had received something from an animal correctly due to a little positive feedback but mostly – absolutely not! And comparing myself with others (bad habit, I know, but hard to break) I felt that I had to be the least sensitive empathic person and was starting to feel that the whole animal communication thing was wishful thinking and that perhaps it was time to recognise that and to bow out gracefully.
I was receiving feelings and impressions but they felt too removed from reality to be real. Val asked for a specific instance and I told her about my experience of trying to communicate with Mig (Chigusa’s dog) on the Q&A call. For our first impressions, I received an impression of huge mountain range in an early morning sunrise, a strong feeling of Native American and a wolf standing proud against this backdrop. Nothing to do with: aura colours, favourite foods, anything specific or even to do with Mig. My ego mind said: Don’t be so ridiculous! I dismissed it as my overactive imagination. Val said: Hang on a minute – did you ask any further questions? And no, I hadn’t. I had been so quick to dismiss this impression as nonsense that I cut Mig off mid communication. (Sorry, Mig).
So Val guided me in asking more. For example: Is the wolf a spirit animal? Yes. One of Chigusa’s. Were the peaks and valleys of the mountains representing a journey? The answer was yes – we (Chigusa and Mig) have travelled a great distance together – this felt symbolic rather than physical. Was the Native American impression from a past life? Yes. He and Mig had had a past life together. Had Mig known me in a past life? And here I felt a thump in my heart area: yes. Further questions could have been around the meaning of the sunrise, the nature of the wolf etc. Here, our time was up and my concentration was slipping. So I’ve learned: when my ego says: That’s ridiculous! Agree with it and continue. I should accept the impression and ask more questions. I also need to develop the length of my concentration capacity. And I’m beginning to grasp the symbolic quality of some of these impressions.

Hello Rosemary, oh I’m sorry you had to keep wondering for such a long time!! You should have commented on the page when you communicated for sure because I’d have told you “you are spot on!”

Glad you posted here since I didn’t notice the FB post mentioning my name. 🙂

I’ve gone through so much of spiritual journey myself and since I have a friend who is into psychic reading, I’ve had a psychic reading done that “confirms” this information (meaning that it is not just from me).

If you were to have commented back when, here are the answers I would have given you (Mig was still with us so using the present tense).

Mountain range in an early morning sunrise sounds like the scenery Mig and I see every day. We walk in a trail where we can see beautiful sunrise when it is not cloudy.

Native American could have been my past. I’ve been told by several psychics that I was medicine man or some sort multiple times in my past. I sense that too myself. I see the connection because I always was so close to Native American culture even though I am Japanese.

Wolf could be from our past. Mig was my wolf in at least one of my past lives together. I think she was a white wolf or something majestic but I don’t remember exactly.

      —

Your follow up questions were also spot on. Mig and I had gone through so much. I wouldn’t have been typing this response in this forum if she was not in my life. I am not exaggerating if I say Mig is the reason why I am who I am today (of course, there are a lot more).

Thank you so much for reminding me how wonderful our lives had been.

Just remember, you have your own gifts and strength. As long as your intention is strong, your answers will resonate with the person who you are communicating with just like this message was to me.

At least that’s been how things have manifested for me.

I’d say, be curious and ask a lot of questions. 🙂

thank you for sharing your experiences and doubts as we all do, right!
I too get a lot of scenery and charades that i don’t necessarily understand when i see them and i too forget to ask for more clarification. I think it comes to me in visual often because I cannot doubt what I have seen and my clairaudience is not open enough to hear in words so I suppose I will have to rely on my knowingness in these instances to further my comprehension and follow up on the communication.

Thank you Chigusa. The mountain image and the sunrise stay with me so clearly. Also I felt her tap my heart when I was talking to VAl – it was so strong and clear I cannot doubt it – so I would like to thank you both for helping me trust and develop. I can feel it now. I can feel her compassionate feminine energy – the most giving and generous soul.

      Hello Chigusa,

I am a new member and today I had my first conversation with an ATH – Mig!
I did not know until I read the other comments that Mig passed on over a year ago. I don’t know the circumstances, but it seemed to happen quickly. I am very sorry for your loss.

Today, for me, she was very present. As I said, I am not experienced, but I will tell you about our conversation.

I introduced myself and asked her if I could talk with her. She said, “Of course, but why did you pick me? You are usually nervous around shepherds.”
I told her I picked her because of her beautiful face and kind eyes; her openness and willingness. I told her she reached out to me, the moment I saw her picture.
She replied, “Try not to judge us by our appearance. We are individuals and can be your friends too.”
I asked her for her advice to overcome that fear. She replied, “The next time you see a dog on the trail that looks like me, remember that you were drawn to me, and that you felt my kindness and love coming through to you in a photo.”
I asked if I could talk to her again to tell her how I made out with her suggestion and she said, “Oh, yes, please!”
I asked if there was anything else she wanted to tell me and she said, “I love helping people. I know I am big, but I am a big softy.” She smiled.
I told her I loved her and she told me she loved me too.
I thanked her and we said goodbye.

I have a question from this experience: Do animals stay in spirit so they can continue to help humans? If they no longer talk to us, have they “moved on”?

      Thank you, Chigusa.
      Ti

        Hello Ti,
It’s wonderful that you picked Mig! She was/is a spiritual teacher and I am not surprised she is willing to help you out. Reading your conversation with her made my heart warm and filled my face with smile. 🙂

You might be surprised but Mig’s passing was a huge blessing to me. It is a very long story here but in short, she insisted she want to “go” on her own and let me help and learn how to help her cross over (she went naturally at our home, but with some doing…) and she actually went very quickly because she had to give space for us to get an another dog. I didn’t talk to her about it but I know it has to do with the COVID situation and my husband and I needing another dog to take care of… Oh, and she sent me several deer after she passed (I should have a post on this in forum as well as FB group). Her passing was as magical as it can get while it was gut wrenching as it can get…

I can only share what I know from my own experience about your question, but I believe animals do not have to be in spirit form to help humans because their spirit side continues to be connected even when they re-incarnate. As a matter of fact, all my dogs (even the one who live with me now) are my spiritual guides. They may have their own “dog issues” just like we have, too, but we can talk with their higher self as well as dog personality. 🙂

What make you ask “If they no longer talk to us, have they “moved on?” because I have spoken with animals who moved on as well as reincarnated. Some of them might not be interested in talking to you about the past life (in one of my session with my clients, his dog from the childhood has reincarnated and was happy, but didn’t particularly have much to say as he was not too connected to my client spiritually). Just like humans, some animals are naturally not very talkative and maybe the one you tried to connect might have been that… May have had nothing to do with the fact they moved on? You talked with Mig, didn’t you? 😉

        Love and light,
        Chigusa

      Hello Chigusa,

Thank you for your reply. You’ve given me lots (more) to think about!
By “moving on” I did mean reincarnation… I am unaware of any other concepts of life after death… Maybe I will learn more from the courses…

As for communicating with Mig’s spirit, yes, that did happen, and it was a very warm and loving first experience for me!

      Thank you so much.
      Love and light.

        Hello Ti,
You will likely learn about the animals who stay in spirit form and not reincarnate in the courses, I think… There are animals who decide not to come back in physical form so they can help us better. But I know you will learn about them at your own pace. 🙂 That’s really not important now…

I do encourage talking with Mig. She picked you for a reason so might as well take up her offer, heh? LOL I am here to support you from a human perspective.

Have fun learning AC! Remember, it is a journey, not a sprint. 😉

      Hello Chigusa,

Thank you for your kind and gentle words. I appreciate your advice not to rush.
I think maybe because I’ve waited so long to begin this journey, that I’m anxious to learn as much as I can right away!

I feel an ongoing connection to Mig by the way. It’s nice.

I will remember, “It is a journey, not a sprint.”
