We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hello Eveyone:
Just a note about “Lilah.” She has come so far since we brought her home from the doberman rescue. She was so shy, so afraid to move she would just “freeze.” Now, one year later she is loving and playful. She enjoys meeting new people and other dogs. Lilah is very intelligent and learns new things quickly. I am certain Lilah would love to talk with anyone who wishes to take the time to connect with her. She is beautiful and a sweetheart. I’m slowly getting back into this and was feeling discouraged (as we all do sometimes).. but before I disconnected I saw a pond as well! Elizabeth, can you confirm that Lilah does in fact sit near the water and look out? I know this is a small facet but it is something. Thank you!Alyssa Noelle Smith

Thank you for connecting with Lilah! There is no pond but we do have a pool. That can serve as a pond. We all sit out on the grass and look at the pool on the weekends so that is certainly possible. Mostly, Lilah likes to sunbathe on a carpet in the driveway next to our patio. That is probably what she does the most.
You know getting good at animal communication is just practice, practice and more practice. And I think – not doubting the first information that comes to you. That is typically the most reliable.

Hello Elizabeth,
I had the pleasure of reaching out and connecting with Lilah. She is so sweet and was happy to talk with me. I had an image of her by a pond barking at some ducks. When I asked her what her favorite thing to do with you is, she said going for walks, exploring new places, and being outside. She said it’s OK to bark outside, but not so much inside. She tries hard and wants very much to please you and loves the attention you give her. She loves you so much! She is eager to learn new things and tries her best to pay attention when you are teaching her something new. She said she would be happy to talk again sometime. Thank you so much for sharing her with the group, it was great getting to know her.

I am just seeing this which you sent in January. I looked at messages but this communication never came up so I do apologize for the late reply.
Well, you got a lot of it right. We don’t have a pond but we do have a pool. And surprisingly enough typically in the springtime we get visits from the mallard ducks in mating season (which is now). We just had a visit and the ducks were swimming in the pool. Lilah ran outside and barked scaring them off for sure.
She absolutely loves to go out on walks. After bringing her home from the rescue it took us several months of work to get her out of the yard. Now she is so excited to go on walks and meet up with other dogs. She has her favorites, of course. She also barks when she needs to go outside but typically is not a barker.
I am certain she would love to talk with you again. Her biggest issue is continued fear that has plagued her from the start. She has come a long way and grows more confident daily but when fear strikes she will make a dash for safety.
Thank you for connecting with Lilah and please do so again in the near future. I am a silver member too!
