We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them

Hi Erika, thanks for allowing me to speak with Kam, such a handsome boy. He exudes a lot of calm and patience and is a gentle, measured boy. He is an old soul, a deep thinker.
His energy is medium, the breathing is even and he has a deep bark. Most of his aura is orange. He is peaceful and gets along with the others. Does he like to play with a yellow ball, having it thrown high up?
His role is that of a companion and support to you. I get the impression that you rescued him…..He says that you take good care of everyone and try to understand them.
As you know, I’m a novice and didn’t get too much…hope some of this resonates. I hadn’t seen these additional photos earlier….he looks so happy and contented!
Thanks again to both of you, and love and blessings

Hi Nita!
Thanks for talking with Kam. I should have clarified that Kamryn/Kam/Kammie is a girl. 🙂 Sorry about that.Kam is a little challenging to communicate with; she is 2 (almost 3) years old and is our youngest pet out of the 8 we currently have. She’s the baby 😉
She has a stoic face and can be hard to “read” because she doesn’t express a lot of emotion in pictures. Despite her looks, she is active, playful, social, and mischievous.
I don’t want to give away too much information in case you want to try again, but I can confirm that she LOVES to chase a yellow tennis ball in the backyard. I throw it for her to fetch, or I throw it up onto the roof of our garage so it can roll off and bounce (and she tries to catch it before it hits the ground). All of our pets are rescues and I do try to understand and care for them uniquely.
You got a few things correct, so great job on those! As I said, we have a friend who is a professional animal communicator, and it took her multiple attempts to get Kam’s reading done because she said it was chaotic and choppy, much like Kam’s energy haha.
Thank you! I love that you’re practicing with all of our pets and I know they enjoy it too.
Hugs to you and your furry family! -

Hi Erika,
Thanks so much for your prompt and encouraging feedback….relieved that I got a couple of things right, especially the yellow ball that was so vivid!! In the later photos, she does look active and naughty!
So lovely that all your 8 are rescues, as my 9 (now sadly 6) were…bless you. Actually, apart from being out of practice, I’ve been struggling to heal from losses (as you would know from the call) and it took a bit of self discipline and effort to carry on after Khush left 2 weeks ago, but I think your kids motivate me! I got so little, and was tempted to wait, but thought it’s better that I just post. Very thoughtful of you to feel I might try again, as indeed that’s what I’d love to do after I get more confident.
Thanks again and much love and blessings to you and all your kids!
