We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hey Jo! So, I’m connecting with Chino as I write this. I haven’t even introduced myself to him, and the first thing he said was, “Finally! Somebody talks to meeeeeee!” I said, “So, I guess I don’t need to introduce myself then.” He said, “Nooooo,” and shook his head.
I asked Chino what he’d like to talk about. He said, “I was very cute and handsome as a dog.” I agreed with him 🙂He said you, Jo, need to have more confidence with communicating with animals and in general. He said he likes that you go to your seminars.
He said he sent Fluff to you to help you with your confidence and animal communication.
He said for you to not worry and not feel badly about the last of his life in his physical body as your dog. He said he’s not in pain now and he knows you loved him and did everything you could to help him feel better and get better. He said it was just his time to pass on, but that it’s all good and he can be with you anytime now anywhere.
He said he did not like baths as Chino, the dog. He said he was your sidekick and followed you everywhere when you two were home.
He said when he was in his physical body he was sometimes a bit unsure of humans. He said he didn’t trust every human right away. He had to “size them up.”
I also got that he was telling me you either took him to NY or almost took him to NY.
I got that he was typically very calm.

Hi Martha, Thank you so much for connecting with Chino. You have nailed it with his personality. He either liked someone right away or else they were subject to earning his approval. He loved to always be in the same room and very close by. I would have loved to take to NY but but when I went to visit the travel would of course would have been too much from Australia.
I had him in my heart and connected with him while I was away. Fluff was a bird that lived outside (and would also come inside). He started coming around every day and even became friends with our cat. I appreciate Chiino’s belief in me and what I am learning. -

Hi Jo,
That’s awesome Fluff came inside and became friends with Tiki! As for Chino, thanks for the feedback! He’s such a sweet soul.
