We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hi Krys,
I just reached out to Lola Bean.
Lol, at first she just jumped up to greet me excitedly. Like I felt her jump up and wrap her arms around me. I laughed and then said wait a minute, let me focus on you and get more centered. So I absorbed her for a bit then she seemed to get bored and started to turn her attention away. I was trying to see her aura and see if I could see the spirit behind the body and what other form she would have had, did not get any real impressions of these.
I told her I was sorry, just trying and learning.
Lola turned back to me more serious, like “okay focus and do this” like she had turned into a wise instructor/mentor.
Then I closed my eyes and tried to ask questions:
– Where do you live? (intending what State – a question I was going to ask you directly but decided to ask Lola.
– Connecticut
– Oh, okay. In a house or apartment?
– house – suburban to rural like area.
– what are you fed? Raw or kibble/fresh or frozen?
– after some hesitation, raw – Ollie’s (brand) is what came to my mind
– what do you enjoy?
– walking in the woods (not sure if the book influenced that answer or not lol) but I had a brief image of natural woods, walking up a path seemingly uphill slightly.
I am still constantly tired ad have limited focus ability time, so I was about to just turn away but remembered to say thank you, but I can’t seem to go on right now, so I will come back to visit and continue this.
She seemed to accept that and was waiting patiently.
That’s about it for now, I am really way tired but would love to know how I did.
Thank you and hugs to both dogs! Seemed to me that the other one wanted to be picked but I explained that I was asked to speak to Lola Bean first.

Hey, I just saw this email before I shut down the computer for the night. 🙂
First, I’m going to tell you that Lola is definitely a wise lady, and her personality is full of love, acceptance, and comfort to all. So you definitely picked up on her personality correctly. The hug you detected would be very characteristic of her.
Regarding her food, it’s very possible that Ollie came to mind because she is fed lightly cooked food, usually A Pup Above or Just Food for Dogs. I did try feeding her Ollie around two years ago, and she didn’t like it (or maybe it disagreed with her digestion, I can’t recall). My point is don’t worry that you didn’t get the exact brand of the food correct. What you got correct is the TYPE of food that she gets. Accuracy doesn’t have to be literal because (as I said before) the souls work with what we know when communicating information to us. Ollie is short and sweet brand name, easy for you to pick up, which makes sense to me.
On the woods, we don’t live in a wooded area per se, but her favorite spot to go pee and poop has a creek on the other side of the gate with a view of a zillion trees. Lola is focused on doing her business as opposed to the wooded area, but (like I said) that’s her favorite spot. 🙂
We live in a condo that’s located in a suburban area and very central to North Dallas, Texas.
From my perspective, you got a lot right. 🙂 Keep going! But get some rest first so that you can center yourself. Also, if you’d like to talk to Bitsy, feel free! She hasn’t mentioned wanting to be a teacher, but she and Lola tend to compete for attention. So what you sensed from Bitsy is very likely her tendency to shove Lola out the way, which Lola does to her as well. Ha! Ha!

Hi Krys,
Thank you for the feedback.
I also know of Just Food For Dogs and others, but glad I got that partially right. I wonder why you get lightly cooked rather than raw frozen.. just a curiosity.
Wonder how Connecticut came to mind when you are in Texas! Wow. I guess the view of the trees made me think of more possibly rural though suburban was the main one. Funny, I had a moments hesitation when I think back to it, I was getting this back and forth from house to apartment/ground level taller building. So I guess I have some questions to ask, but I will ask the dogs and then you can help me see what I got right or not.
I did get some rest between shifts online (the weird weekend hours I have online and the now jet lag are probably taking their toll). I am more alert now.
Maybe I will take turns with each of them so they both feel the attention.
Thanks for responding.. Your intuition knows to say check this first before you head off for the night;)
Thank you and love,

Hello again! 🙂
On the question of why I feed Lola lightly cooked food, it’s because she abhors raw meat. She’d rather starve than eat it. Nor will she eat dehydrated raw meat. I’ve never asked her why she feels this way since I discovered her preferences when she was a puppy. Once I figured out that she would lightly cooked foods, that’s what she gets. 🙂
My condo isn’t constructed like an apartment. It actually looks like a 3-level townhouse, with the garage comprising a portion of the ground level. It’s a very unique design and I’m surprised that it’s classed as a condo.
I’m glad that you managed to get some rest! It doesn’t sound like nearly enough to me, someone who thrives on at least 6-hours of uninterrupted sleep!
Well, I’m off to run my errands! Then I’m going to listen to the next lesson of ‘Spirit Communication’ in Hay House course I purchased. I’m finding that the more time I put into improving my abilities, the quicker I can interpret animal’s messages. I connect very easily, but I want to speed up my ability to understand what I’m getting. 🙂
Kindly,
Krys -

Hey Krys,
Meant to reply to this.. we have so many threads here lol.
I must say that I amazed as my first thought was that you live in a townhouse type condo and told myself I was imagining so forced myself to see apartment even though I was fighting inside where it was apt/house back and forth and then forcefully decided on apt!
SO, I was right! Yay.
So, after Friday work and pedicure ordered by my daughter and weekend labeling beer bottles for the wedding and working all day Sunday then the ritual bath/dunk (I did not dunk, just accompanied my daughter) then all day hair and make up for her then me then wedding till 3am (yes I stayed and danced with the young people) then up at 7am to work all day today.. So, going to make this a fairly early night and hopefully will be able to focus on Lola or Bitsy in the next day or so.
Night for now,
Monique

Hi Krys,
I have tried to have a communication with your gorgeous Lola Bean, but unfortunately I did not succeed very well. But I’ll share it with you nevertheless:
Looking at her picture, she would not step out of the frame but sat there straight, wondering what it all was about, not really willing to “loose” her time on something uninteresting.
Her energy field: like a white cloud.
Even if she may be extraverted, more or less outgoing, she is also suspicious. Wants to keep an eye on everything. She knows what she wants. Strong character.
Although she is happy, her happiness cannot bloom really. As if she didn’t dare.
She may be clairvoyant, clairsentient.
Her fur is a bit rough, her body is firm and warm, her voice is high pitched. When I said that I supposed she was a girl I sensed that she answered “yes, of course”.
She feels fine today, a bit less in her body.
I asked whether her body was hurting: no.
As on her picture, in her left eye, there is a bit of white, I asked her whether her sight was ok. She did not want to speak about it.
Then I got a sensation of discomfort in my left shoulder.
She said that it was a bit hurting her.
Asked her what suggestion she would have to make it better, I got non answer.
When I asked her what you could do for her, I sensed “leave it, it’s not too bad”.
I asked her whether in the place where she lived it was Winter now, got no answer.
I mentioned that when the warmer days will be back it will soon get better.
Her human family : her mum and dad.
Another dog is living with her, she loves him.
Her best friend: her mum.
Her favourite spot in her home: everywhere.
Nothing special she most likes or dislikes.
Her role towards her human: take care of her.
Her purpose: make mum happy, really only mum.
Her job: Look over everybody, make sure everything rules smoothly.
Anything her mum could do for her: her food.
Sensed that she likes her food. (May be you changed her diet, in which case she likes it)
Anything she could do for her mum: love her, watch over her.
Anything her mum could help her with: no, everything is ok.
Anything she could help her mum with: again same answer.
Anything I could help her with: “leave me alone”.
From here on she got bored.
I asked her to give me a couple of more minutes. I explained that I was still learning animal communication and didn’t know how to do it well. I thanked her for her patience.
Here she disconnected I think.
Because I got no answer when I asked her whether we were still connected.
As well as to other questions I asked her.
So, even if she could not hear me any more, I thanked her, sending lots of love and hugs.Hope it makes sense?
By the way I have not read previous posts prior to my connection with Lola.Kindly

Hi, Evelyne —
Thanks for reaching out to Lola Bean. I’m always interested in what my fellow students will pick up on her. 🙂
Lola’s personality is best described as a people-pleaser. She loves people, but is suspicious of dogs she doesn’t know because she was attacked a couple of years ago. So you’re correct that she has a suspicious nature. Aside from this issue, she’s a happy girl, although she would love to have my undivided attention at ALL times. Ha! Ha! Definitely an attention hog and places more value on being cuddled than on any other activity.
Lola communicates primarily through clairvoyance with me. And she is certainly clairsentient. She is very sensitive to my emotions and knows exactly when I’m happy or bothered by something. She also projects her emotions so I know when she’s feeling left out. There’s is only me (no dad) and my other dog (a female), who Lola adores as if she’s the mama. Her fur is super-soft and gets fluffy right before she’s groomed. Also, her vision is fine. The eye that has two colors is part blue and part brown. Lola is mixed with Australian Shepherd and her mother has multi-colored eyes. Lola’s eyes and coloring are identical to her mother’s.
Lola absolutely loves her food. She gets fresh food (no kibble) and gobbles it up quickly. She’s always been fed fresh food, but I recently (around 2 months ago) added Nom Nom turkey to her rotation for variety. She’s very pleased with this food, which is great because she can be a picky eater.
Lola is free to run and play with my other dog unless we’re outside on walks. Because of her prior experience with being attacked, she is highly reactive to other dogs that she doesn’t know. Despite our conversations about it, she continues to react aggressively, which creates a risk for her and others’ safety. So she now wears a collar that beeps and vibrates if she barks during walks. This immediate feedback from the collar halts her behavior, which I wouldn’t call “blooming” behavior. But she has to resist her triggers now in favor of remaining calm during the walks. This is new for her. Although she still explores happily and sniffs around outside, she’s more reserved when it comes to barking and lunging at (as though to attack) other dogs that happen to pass by.
You are correct that Lola is here to be a mama’s girl. She is the reincarnation of a prior dog (a Pug named Lola) that I had for many years. And before she came back, an animal communicator told me exactly what her personality was going to be this time. She has certainly met the expectations I was told about. LOL I have seen no signs of pain in her body, but as she and my other dog sometimes play roughly it’s possible that she got a nip on her shoulder.
Great job with opening yourself up to communicate with Lola! Thank you for sharing everything you got. At the moment. she and my other dog are dozing and relaxing, which may be why you got a sense that she wasn’t feeling particularly talkative. She’s chilling out and enjoying her peace. We’ll be going out for a walk shortly.
Kindly,
Krys -

Hi Krys,
It was such a joy reading your detailed answer for Lola Bean and so to get to know her better! Thank you very much.
Once or twice I have had the same situation when I was communicating with a dog who was asleep… 🙂
It is incredible that Lola Bean is the reincarnation of your late dog Lola. That’s a fantastic gift from her to you! That is so mysterious to me. Once I had a professional communicator telling me that my dog Spoty, in spirit, had reincarnated in a black Labrador, living happily with a man somewhere in France. Spoty was a Beauceron/Labrador mixture, also black, and all my other dogs I have been gifted to share their life were black Labradors as well. Even my sweetheart Hawaï who is now living with me. Such a gorgeous and loving girl.
Again, thank you so much and have a nice day
Kindly

Hi Krys,
I just made a connection with Sandy Doherty’s cat Sweetie. And since I mentioned your name I copy below what I wrote for your information:
“When I asked her what her advice was to learn how to communicate with my own dog,
I sensed “ask Krys”. (I have just made a connection with her dog Luna Bean and when reading her reply I was wondering how she managed to communicate with her own dog so well – Sweetie read in my thoughts!)”
Sincerely
Evelyne -

Hi, Evelyne —
Yes, I was surprised to learn that Lola decided to reincarnate so quickly after dying in 2019. As a Pug, she had endured a very unhealthy body and was limited in a variety of ways. Now in her new body, she’s able to run and breathe easily, which she couldn’t do as a Pug. I believe she came back to enjoy this experience as well as to teach me more things. She is one of the dogs that caused me to realize that I was communicating with them. Before she died, I could hear her talk (clairsentience) and just know what she was thinking (claircognizance). My love for her created a connection that I didn’t realize existed until she passed, at which point I realized that she had told me about her plans to go, but I had not wanted to believe it. I was devastated at her loss and then shocked to discover that she was coming back. She’s really enjoying her new body and her good health. This time, she’s in a body that can accommodate her big personality and love for life.
Interestingly, I was practicing animal communication with a cat that has passed and the cat told me that he was coming back as a horse. He said that he had been kept inside throughout his cat life and wanted to experience the joy of running freely around a field as horses do. It’s always so interesting to hear the animals’ perspectives on things. 🙂 They’re funny and kind and catalyzing. A very spunky horse told me a couple of weeks ago that I need to get my act together and stop waiting for everything to be perfect before I dive into my goals. Well, this caught me off guard. LOL But these types of interactions validate to me that I’m indeed in conversation with the animal. Ha! Ha!
Warmly,
Krys

Hi again, Evelyne —
Regarding your question on how I communicate with my furchildren, I’d say that it started with my deep love for them as well as my respect for them as sentient beings. Both of my dogs are reincarnations of prior dogs (both the Pug breed) that passed in recent years. While Pugs, both dogs experienced severe health problems that veterinarians were often puzzled at how to resolve, which left me on my own to find ways to keep them comfortable. It was during their health challenges that both dogs began to clearly communicate with me to tell me how they were feeling. One of the dogs even told me exactly what her health issue was after around 4 veterinarians couldn’t figure it out. Once I confirmed the accuracy of this particular communication, I realized without a doubt that both of my dogs had been talking to me for years. I also realized that I was often feeling the emotions of my neighbors’ furkids. I trusted that I was correct even if the owners didn’t realize what their animals were feeling. And this trusting further enabled me to hear my girls, who are very proficient at projecting their thoughts to me. LOL
I still have work to do, improvements to make, particularly when an animal (not my own) is telling me about their past versus their present experiences. I’ve reached a point where I’ve practiced with enough animals to know that the information I receive is usually accurate. However, if an owner doesn’t know the dog’s past (as with the current FAT), and I’m asking about the present situation, I’m unclear on why the dog floods with me images about the past instead of the present. Nor do I realize that I’ve gotten information about the past (instead of the present) until the owner tells me that she can’t validate the information I’ve received. I’ll be working on this. 🙂 In the meantime, I’m grateful to my Pug girls for teaching me that I hear animals speak, which has in turn enabled me to recognize that my current babies are talking to me all the time. I’m very open to them and I (as I said) they are highly proficient at projecting their thoughts and emotions. It becomes impossible to ignore them. LOL
Kindly,
Krys-

Hi Krys,
thank you for your answers! All you wrote is so interesting to me!
Do you work as a professional animal communicator?
How lucky you three are to be reunited again! What a marvellous adventure.
I am eager to reach a higher level of proficiency so that I am able to learn how to communicate with animals in spirit and I am looking forward to it.About when you write “… particularly when an animal (not my own) is telling me about their past versus their present experiences.”
For you this happened not only with current FAT – who told you about his present life before he came to his new family, but also with other FATs where you sensed past lifes of a long time ago! Very interesting! And when you say “… I’m unclear on why the dog floods with me images about the past instead of the present.
For me this may be the fact that the animals sense your ability to see their past life’s as well and they are too happy to share it with you ?“Nor do I realize that I’ve gotten information about the past (instead of the present) until the owner tells me that she can’t validate the information I’ve received.”
This won’t take long for you to master it, I am sure!I was wondering, when animals speak about past lifes and experiences, be it in the present reincarnated life or from much longer ago, do you think it is possible for an animal communicator to connect with their past life mates for instance? I have noticed that often animals are concerned and feel sad not knowing how their former mates are doing. We could help them in this way?
Lots of love to your furkids and enjoy every minute together
Kindly

Hi, Evelyne —
No, I am not a professional animal communicator. Nor do I feel called to become one in terms of opening up a formal business and reading people’s pets. I haven’t yet decided how I will use the skills we’re learning. At this time, I can only say that I feel drawn to animal welfare (for example, organizations that are trying to implement laws for animal rights) as opposed to animals in homes with loving owners.
On the question of whether an animal communicator can help an animal that’s sad about having no knowledge about former mates, I can’t say that I’ve met an animal that has expressed such emotions to me. However, I have seen a popular South African animal communicator named Anna Breytenbach help a black leopard find out how 2 cubs were doing. She didn’t connect to the cubs psychically, but I have no doubt that she could have. Instead, though, the man who owns the sanctuary where the black leopard lives made some phone calls to obtain the status of the cubs, both of whom eventually wound up living at the sanctuary with the black leopard (named Spirit). Animal communicators can connect to animals that a person thinks about THROUGH a psychic connection to that person. Also, I recently spoke with a cat who asked me to speak with his friend (another cat). And I wound up connected to both cats at once with no prior knowledge about the second cat. LOL That was a first for me! And thankfully I was able to validate the accuracy about both cats through the first cat’s owner. So, yes, it’s possible to connect in multiple ways. I’m currently working on connecting without having any information about the being like a picture or a name.
Regarding connecting to animals in spirit, you do this the same way as connecting to a living animal. If knowing that the animal has departed created a block for you, then pretend that you don’t know this when connecting to the animal. 🙂
