We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hi Mascha, thank you for allowing me to speak with Chuco, and to both of you for giving me the courage to get back to practice after a very long time.
I spoke with him once, and then again briefly. At first he was hesitant, but then I got a series of images from him rather than answers to specific questions. There are some parts I do not understand, but I hope they resonate for you.
He has a vibrant energy and an indomitable spirit…I see him crouching/stalking something in play, sniffing deeply, nose turned to the sun, a posture of waiting to be heard. Maybe he wants to hear from you? His favorite was to play and chase butterflies. He has a deep purr.
His aura is yellow, and clairaudience his strongest Claire. Did he have a stomach issue?
He seems to have reincarnated after a long time, yet I felt him more in spirit form, and he is near you in spirit. Perhaps I will connect with him sometime again and clarify this.
His role was that of a teacher, to help you develop patience and independence, and he says he continues to do that now. He is an old soul, rather reserved in some ways. He said he enjoyed life, but was also glad to leave.
I had sought his help, so he said it’s good that I picked up AC again and to carry on.
Thanks again to both of you, and love and blessings.

Dear Nita,
Thank you so much for connecting with my beloved Chuco!!
I do realize I have not dealt with my grief enough. In this way you are giving me the opportunity to transform some of that grief into love again, so thank you.I can imagine he was a bit hesitant at first. He was not scared of other people but he was more exclusive and close to me only. He was reserved like you say. Which I am too when I meet new people – this might reflect the body-mind connection we had – Bootsy is the same by the way!
It’s so interesting you got images from him.
He was indeed very active and energetic. I guess he was indomitable in a sense too, he absolutely loved his freedom. He would wander off for hours sometimes. If I had to lock him up to prevent him from going outside (just before a visit to the vet for example) he would go nuts and continue pushing against the door.
Him crouching and stalking in play… that’s him! He would chase anything and bring them home constantly…..birds, mice, rats, snake, lizards, even a squirrel…..He most probably chased butterflies also although I did not see them. He loved to play always and he also loved the sun! He would sometimes sunbathe in a nice winter or autumn sun. So you got that very right! And his purr is deep indeed.
He was an extremely gentle, calm and respectful soul. I do believe he is an old soul also, he would take things easy and not make a fuss. Avoid fights with the other cats. We loved cuddling each other, he would always sleep next to me.I want to try to connect to him and listen to him. Thank you for telling me.
Interesting he has a yellow aura. Mostly clairaudient, did you hear words or something else maybe?Chuco passed away end of May 2019. In the end of his life, he was already 18, he had a lot of problems, including stomach issues. He had gotten very fragile and skinny. I had stopped taking him to the vet because it was such a dreadful experience for the both of us. He had epilepsy seizures (I only realized after a few years) and other problems and at some point I decided to have him put down..
If only I had known then what I know now about animal communication…I would have treated him better and asked for his opinion… But if you say he was glad to leave, which I can imagine, that is a relief to hear.
As terrible as it sounds, I was actually very relieved after letting him go, I myself could not bear the circumstance anymore. I do wish I could have done more for him in the latter part of his life, instead of feeling miserable myself at that time not being in a good relationship.
I do wonder if he has reincarnated again. I would love for you to clarify this. I do think he is still near me sometimes.About his role – I think you really got that right. He was a teacher to me indeed. I could not really put my finger on in what way myself. But Independence, and Patience, that really makes sense.
I got Chuco when he was still a kitten just before I moved out of my parent’s house on my own. We changed many homes and boyfriends together. He was always my beautiful loving rock I could fall back on, for 18 years. He was so independent himself. When I relied too much on my boyfriend it turned out to be a mistake.
And patience, I have a lot more patience now than I used to. Just being around Chuco always made me feel calm and peaceful.I practiced Pranic Healing on him a few times and it really helped.
Thank you so much Nita for taking your time to talk to Chuco, it is much appreciated.Much love and blessings to you!!!

Hi Mascha,
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and interesting insights on your beloved Chuco, and apologies for this very delayed response due to health issues. So glad some of my impressions (that’s what I mostly get) were right! It’s interesting that he mirrored your personality!
I wonder if the yellow of the aura was due to him being so vibrant and active for most of his life. I heard some words, but more “purrs” to emphasize what I was feeling. Don’t know if that makes sense! I’m sure when you speak with him you will get answers clearly.
What a mature boy, not to fight with anyone and be calm…that’s indeed an old soul. How lucky you were (and are) to have someone like him, as a support and teacher through so many ups and downs in life.
I can imagine how difficult the last years must have been and why he and you were both relieved when he transitioned. There’s always so much grief whenever a pet leaves, but seeing them suffer is worse in some ways. I’m sure you were communicating with each other even if not consciously….and now we have guidelines to carry on the communication. Yes, I do hope to speak with him again following those guidelines and maybe find an answer to the reincarnation doubt.
How encouraging that pranic healing worked for him….indeed it does!
Thanks again Mascha, and much love and blessings to you and Chuco.

Thank you so much again Nita for your conversation with Chuco.
I do feel like a yellow aura would suit him, being confident and calm.
You understand the pain of losing a beloved pet…we have been very lucky indeed to have had them in our lives for as long as we had them. And we still are.
And thankfully we have pranic healing and animal communication in our lives.Much love to you 🙂

Thanks again Mascha.
Yes, Pranic healing has been my lifeline especially after Brownie….she was with us for less than 9 years, was probably a year old when we found her. Now I really need to make some progress in AC to get some closure and healing.
Love and blessings

Dear Mascha,
I felt guided to talk with Chuco. Maybe that’s because I have had and do have orange cats of some shade throughout my life. Or maybe because I feel a connection to you.
Anyhoo, I am sensing Chuco was a very warm and Loving kitty and had his moments of feistiness and moments where he wanted to be in his own space. He says I easily got overstimulated and let Mum know.
He says he could be quite a cuddle bug often.
He says you always knew what he wanted and needed and how and when and if something was wrong in any way. He says no other human he knew if was so in tune with their animals.
He wants me to deliver this message, « Mum, you’ll always be my Mum until I come back to you as your Lover or as Your human parent. I might try both. I feel guided to be your Lover though since we had such a fun, warm, nurturing, and Loving relationship when I was your cat in body. I feel we would be great a a romantic duo when I come back as a human. I have Soul and Karmic work to do first. I will be coming back as another cat to you soon or rabbit or horse maybe. Would you like that? I know you would and I will be nice to Bootsy. She has seemed a bit like in a daze or trance these days – it’s because we’re connecting. We’re getting to know each other and planning me coming back. You’ve been going through a new challenge and you two need me. I also have missed you. I know you know I am around.
I am Forever endlessly grateful to you for you protecting me and for saving me. I am grateful to you for your Love, warmth, nurturing, and fun. For being with me. For everything. I Love you »He’s saying his last bit of time in cat body was rough. What came to my intuition was kidney. Rare blood issue. Couldn’t save me. Lived longer than estimated – only because Love beat the odds a bit.
Love takes care of everything, my dear. Love your life and you. Love takes care if everything and provides.
I thanked him for the enlightenment.
He sent an image of him running and sliding on a wooden floor scrunching up with his front legs a warm color rug- reddish orange. He’s saying this was my almost daily game ! I Loved to ruffle things up and mussy things up a little.
He says he Loved to prowl the house at night and sent an image of what looks like a living room with a lamp on and him walking around. He says he Loved to meow at now and to sit on the bathroom sink waiting for you and that he Loved to hangout in the shower when it wasn’t wet. He also says I always greeted Mum when she came home and is showing me an image of Him and a fence and grass and grey wooden steps. This might be past life though.
He is saying he’s going to go now and take a nap.
I thanked him for talking with me. I sent him Love and gave him a rub.

Dear Martha,
It is so nice of you to connect with my beloved Chuco. Orange cats are sooooo sweet of character, I love them too. Hawkeye looks adorable also!
Chuco was indeed very warm and loving, he would not harm a fly (figuratively speaking!). He did need his own space though, he loved his freedom, he would often wander off outside.
Back home with me he would be a cuddle bug 😉We were very much in tune with each other, if he would have the smallest eye twitch I knew something was going on. I have always wanted the very best for him, I loved him so deeply. Thank you for his confirmation Martha of him feeling like I was always listening/in tune with him.
For him to come back as my lover?? 🙂 🙂 Haha!! My boyfriends have always been jealous of him! And he would always sleep with me, beside me, on top of me, or in my arms, or on the head pillow next to me which made me laugh, as if he had taken the place of my companion. I would sometimes say to him as a joke that I would prefer marrying him to anybody else 🙂
It would be great if he would come back to me, in any form.He got to know Bootsy a little bit before his passing… I felt a bit guilty for spending a lot of time with Bootsy (she needed to build confidence to come live inside the house) and not so much with him in his last months. He was a little grumpy sometimes with her, which is understandable, him not feeling well. I just wish I knew better back then what I know now and how to communicate. Bootsy did seem a bit dazed, last week I would say. It would be so nice for them to reconnect too.
I got Chuco as a kitten, a few kids on the street were carrying him around and I took him in, thank you Martha for his beautiful words. He lived up to 18 years. The end was definitely rough, he had epileptic seizures, digestive problems, cognitive problems, a lot of other problems I am sure that I don’t know of, I stopped going to the vet with him because he hated it so much. I had to put him down in the end…. But Love got him very far and going yes. I called him ‘my big Love’.
I have been thinking back about how many houses Chuco and I lived in….12 different places over 18 years, poor thing!! We were each other’s home. I cannot remember a wooden floor in one of them, but the home we were happiest in for a few years had a red-orange carpet with elephants on it. He would wander around the home and inside.
He did not come inside the shower or on the bathroom sink that I know of but it is possible he is showing you these because I always left the bathroom window open for him to come and go as he wanted and then he would go through a cat door between the bathroom and the living room.
He would ALWAYS wait for me and greet me when I got home 🙂 There was a fence and grass and grey concrete steps leading down to the house.Thank you so much Martha!!! Much love to you 🙂

Dear Mascha,
Thank you for the feedback. Orange kitties are great. Chuco and Hawkeye are both cute!
18 houses in 12 years! Wow! I would certainly say you and he were each other’s home! It’s beautiful though that through everything you two always had each other. He’s saying you still do!
I Hope he does come back to you. He’s saying when he does that you’ll know it.Love to Chuco!
Martha
