ModeratorWe are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Platinum MemberNita, thank you for making Brownie available as an Animal Teacher Helper (ATH).
This is the information I received when I talked with Brownie:
Brownie is now your Guardian Angel. She watches over you and all your animals.
Brownie is still very connected with her son and her son sees Brownie when she’s visiting. If you watch him, you’ll be able to see when Brownie is visiting.
Brownie says she greets all the new animals that you bring in and helps them to adjust to the new environment.
Brownie sends you love and comfort and healing for your heart for the recent passing of your animals. Brownie assures you that they are no longer suffering and have transitioned wonderfully. Brownie says if she was there, she’d come along side you and rest her head in your lap to give you comfort.
I asked Brownie what she wanted you to know, and she said:
Tell her that the angels rejoice for the work she does with all the abused animals. They applaud you for the love and care you provide even if the animals don’t stay on earth long. They want you to know your presence soothes the animals’ souls and shows them that humans can be loving. Even if they aren’t healed at a physical level, the work you do heals them at a soul level, which has a profound impact on their eternal journey. The work you do is much needed, and they say not to be afraid to ask if you need more resources to continue your work. All heavenly hosts want to come to your aid to ensure you can continue to care for abused animals. I am so proud of you and consider myself your ambassador to share my story with the new animals you bring in so they can trust you to be there for them like you were there for me.It is obvious that Brownie is still very connected to you and her love for you is eternal.

Platinum MemberHi Sue,
Thank you ever so much for connecting with my Brownie and the comforting messages from her. I lost her suddenly and unexpectedly for no apparent reason in October 2021, and could not get past the trauma till working with Val last year.
You got the right message, Val had also told me she was my guardian angel! I’m so glad she visits with her son Blackie….he reacted badly to her passing and again it was Val who helped during a call, and again when he was FAT.
I have lost 3 of them in less than a year, the last 2 being Khush on 15th December and now Tikli on the 5th, both very sudden, at just 7….it’s been really hard but I’m happy if she says they’ve transitioned peacefully.
I have to disagree with Brownie on one point….at age 70, with no help and limited resources in a remote hill area, I’m in no position to take in any more new dogs! The 5 remaining ones are all in grief with the losses, so I hope she helps them cope!
I’m happy she’s connected to me, and just wish she would send some signs….I’m grateful for the messages she has sent through you.
Many thanks again Sue, and much love and blessings -

Platinum MemberNita,
Thanks for your feedback.
In regards to continuing to take in abused animals, I got the impression that Brownie understood your limited resources and was encouraging you to not be afraid to ask for help, because Brownie was going to rally all the resources in heaven to send you the assistance you need. I totally understand with all the loss you and your animals are currently dealing with, this may not be the time to do anything. However, if that changes, Brownie wants you to know she will support you in all ways possible.

Platinum MemberThanks again Sue! Actually, the most difficult resource to come by here is human resources…just don’t get anyone to help with animals, and with all the chores of a big rural homestead, it gets tough at my age. So I hope Brownie helps with that!
Instead of taking in any more (and here there aren’t too many strays, as was in Delhi, from where I brought all of them) we’re sponsoring 4 kids at a local shelter, in memory of our 4 in spirit.
Thanks again for connecting with Brownie…you’re the first to do so!
Love and blessings

Platinum MemberHi Nita, I just connected in with Brownie. He is very wise.
I felt him to be a protector and the pack leader – not bossy, but watchful, protective and willing to take charge when necessary – a father type figure.
I asked what it was like on the other side and immediately felt my heart expanding and a feeling of peace and oneness with everything.
I told him my Daisy had passed and he said they’re not gone – thwy are very much a part of us. When they pass we struggle ro connect because we feel the pain from their passing and the memories of that pain. As time goes on and we remember them for who they were/are – their essence – we are instantly communicating with them – the part that is also a part of us.
I asked if I could do anything for him or you and was told that you can communicate with him by feeling that oneness with him. Your connection is already there as he is a part of you. Feel into that.
I haven’t read any other comments yet, but will go back and read them now.

Platinum MemberHi Melanie, sorry I just saw this due to the time difference. Thanks ever so much for speaking with my Brownie….means a lot as her 3rd anniversary is coming up on the 19th, and the last few days I’ve been reliving the trauma of the 12 days when we helplessly saw her fading away…the only “help” we got was from an imposter posing as a vet. So till today we have no idea what led to her overnight to stop barking and eating…she was our first rescue, found burnt to the skin, but that’s another story. She was only 9 when she passed.
You got her essence correctly, and probably that’s why her male personality came through….she was indeed a leader, despite being tiny and wiry! Absolutely fearless and very adventurous (she was constantly running off to the jungle which is full of leopards),full of grit and energy, never ill for a day in the 8 years she was with us, and basically a loner. She got after big dogs if they invaded her territory, but very gentle with children. She was extremely resilient and came out of the abuse and trauma she had been through. She enjoyed the open spaces here after we moved from Delhi but unfortunately not for long.
I’m so glad you told her about Daisy…hope that helped and you can connect with your girl. Been thinking of you…
Brownie knows I can’t connect with her (or any of the others) as it’s hard to get past the trauma/guilt/regrets I carry, for more reasons than one. I joined here a year after she passed, and finally last year a session with Val brought some understanding and acceptance, but long way to go.Btw, Blackie, whom you may have seen posted for the call, is her son, my oldest boy at 11.
Thanks again Mel, it was so providential that you chose Brownie at this time, very grateful.
Much love and blessings -

Platinum MemberThanks for the feedback Nita. Brownie chose me to connect with, so I believe he wanted me to pass the message to you. My experience with Daisy enabled me to do that. No coincidences xx

Platinum MemberHi Melanie, totally agree with you, there are no coincidences, and as Val says, things happen when they have to. You’re only the second person to connect with Brownie in 2 years, and at this time! I’m so glad your Daisy helped you! She will be guiding you now. Lots of love and thanks again.
