We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

3/25/19: Hello Pam. I heard her say, “Im super freaked out easily, I am a mama energy, I love space, I love my play, and I love my kitties around me.” She says she doesn’t like to be with too many cats, though. “I like to hear peace and quiet and to feel safe.” She says that Charlie is the master. “Well we are masters too, but we really appreciate his lead and his protection.” Izzy says “I love my soft quilt and the soothing way she speaks.” Izzy says to me “Don’t you know better angie, I hear your kitty trying to get your attention… Go tend to her she needs you.” (my cat was trying to get my attention). “Yes I am the most aware kitty you have ever known.” I tell her she is a pretty cool kitty cat. She says that sometimes other kitties “hurt me but it looks the other way around…I feel forced inside.” She says she is annoyed at mommy and I asked her about this. Remind me Pam, are there strays/feral cats that you are feeding too? Anyway, I heard that Novia needs to be on porch and to relax and not worry. I heard Izzy said “choose us only Pam” and that “she is leaving (when showing images of other cats being fed.” She said we need to move and “be kindred with ourselves.” Hmmm not sure about all that, but sharing anyway!

Hi Pamela, here is my conversation from yesterday afternoon (4/18). I heard “I am angry.” I felt tension in root and sacral. She says she wants own space and wants to relax. She wants her own box (I let her know that may not be logistically possible but I thanked her for sharing). I hear that she wants a different type of litter. I heard “corn.” hmmm. I felt her showing me a box in a place with air flow. I asked about ferals and I got that she feels chaotic and that she can’t control her and that that pisses her off. “I feel strange and off.” I expressed for her to have clear boundaries within herself and to be a lioness with calm and heart. She mentioned concern at not having Charlie around but then said he will be here for more years. I felt and expressed a wave of gratitude within myself and reaching Izzy.
