We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

My impression was she craves something to soften and lessen the pain just a hair more than the CBD is providing and that this will help prevent buildup of anxiety. She is okay with vet for pain relief though ultimately desires Less intervention, whatever the case. I get a strong No on Acupuncture and a Yes to similar energetic healing using a more feminine approach, for her tender body. At his point I felt her pain as a 3 (from a tough kitty standpoint). She feels delicate and desiring a little more wet food/or healthy raw to provide a boost of nutritional support and help her body become more in the flow, on All levels. I right away felt that massaging her Shoulders and Neck and along either side of spine will help her hips and balance. She expressed needing life blood, perhaps this is related to food. We had a shamanic moment in our healing/check-in: I saw her cough up a spider and smash it effortlessly with her paw and I witnessed her receiving a shamanic restructuring to help her be more in the flow. I get that she is a very serene kitten on the inside.

This mornings checkin in: I shared healing space with Novia;just focused on letting her fully receive and be relaxed in her body without questions. I did suggest to her that she may like to do slightly more frequent (but not to over-exhaustion) gentle short walks around the house to keep her joints mobile.

Hi Angela! thank you for your connecting up with Novia. I thought I responded to your posts, but see here that I did not. Yes I too have been massaging her neck and shoulders along with her back and hips. She has been visiting more on my lap to get extra lovin lately. All the work you and the others have been doing is indeed helping immensely, and I thank YOU too!
That was really cool work you did within the Shamanic realm; I need to incorporate more of this into my healing work with not only my kitties but other’s animals as well. Yes, I notice, as you do, the tenderness of her beingness; she puts up a tough old lady front but inside she is truly a tender kitty. Since all the healing she has been exhibiting more of a willingness to be playful and too am noticing her standing on all fours more securely (except for last night and this morning she was a bit limpy). I love the healing connection you have been doing with her and am so appreciative. I give her bits of raw meat now and again before I prepare it for myself (yup, I am not a vegetarian much to the chagrin of some here), she especially likes raw beef in small amounts and cooked turkey. I love her so dang much! Keep offering her your loving healing and presence anytime you may feel called, for it is truly appreciated by her and has helped. Thank you dear One! Hi Pammie Jean (that’s my favorite) you are most welcome. I am so happy for all the healing support that she is receiving and that you have seen an improvement (most of the time) and I will connect in again with her soon!
