We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hi Melanie, thanks for allowing me to speak with Daisy. I’ve been out of practice, so I hope some of this resonates with you.

Daisy looked a bit puzzled, wondering why I was speaking with her! I explained to her that I need practice so I can connect to my 4 girls in spirit.
She seems a bit wary of strangers, introverted, but a warm and loving soul. She has soft fur, and the temperature is warm. She runs at a brisk pace and has a medium bark. She appears to be middle aged, and I get the impression of a litter…did she have pups? She misses another brown dog….was that a sibling or someone she was with? I also got a feeling it may be a reference to a past life.

There are some square pieces of food (fish? meat?) in a white bowl. She is near a spring or brook, and her favorite game is with small sticks. She loved to run around in circles when younger.

She loves the peaceful atmosphere of the home, and the feeling of security. Apart from you, is she attached to someone else in the house?

She feels the cold…is there an issue in the lower back, almost at the end of the spine?

Daisy is an old soul, who wants to teach people to respond, rather than react. Her advice to me is to go deeper in a conversation.

Thanks again Melanie and Daisy, and love and blessings.

        Hi Nita.

Thank you for communicating with Daisy.

“Daisy looked a bit puzzled, wondering why I was speaking with her! I explained to her that I need practice so I can connect to my 4 girls in spirit.”

Daisy has spoken with animal communicators before, but I didn’t think to tell her that I had submitted her picture. She’s a great teacher though, so I’m sure she didn’t mind 🙂

“She seems a bit wary of strangers, introverted, but a warm and loving soul.”
Daisy is very friendly and loving – smile or say hello and she’s your best friend.

“She has soft fur, and the temperature is warm. Yes.
She runs at a brisk pace and has a medium bark. She appears to be middle aged”
She used to be quite fast, but is an old girl now and has slowed down a lot.

” and I get the impression of a litter…did she have pups? She misses another brown dog….was that a sibling or someone she was with? I also got a feeling it may be a reference to a past life.”
No pups, but her mum was a chocolate coloured labrador.

“There are some square pieces of food (fish? meat?) in a white bowl.”
Her feeding bowl is stainless steel, however we have started cooking our own food for her, with chicken, which we store in a white plastic container.

“She is near a spring or brook, and her favorite game is with small sticks.”
We always used to walk her near the river, but unfortunately she used ro eat small sticks, so we had to start putting her on the lead. She loved to run around in circles when younger. Definitely

“She loves the peaceful atmosphere of the home, and the feeling of security. Apart from you, is she attached to someone else in the house?”
She is my baby, but also very much a family dog, so very attached to my husband and son too.

“She feels the cold…is there an issue in the lower back, almost at the end of the spine?”
Sadly, as she is aging she has slowed right down and is feeling more pain and stiffness in her back and back legs, which are getting weaker.

“Daisy is an old soul, who wants to teach people to respond, rather than react. Her advice to me is to go into the depth in a conversation.”
Beautiful advice from Daisy, especially considering our other dog Rolo is very reactive. Well done and thank you so much for connecting with her.

Hi Melanie, thanks very much indeed for your prompt and encouraging response….sorry I just saw this due to our time difference (I’m in India). Glad I got a few things right! It was a pleasure speaking with her. I look forward to connecting to your other kids too.
Thanks again and love and blessings.

        Hi Nita,

Following on from your communication with Daisy I wanted to confirm a few more things that have come to light.
Daisy is currently very ill and undergoing tests at the vets, with a lot of pain in her back as you said.
Her advice to respond, rather than react has proved sound advice for us in helping our other dog Rolo, with whom we have had a lot of behaviour problems including stealing and constant barking. Instead of constantly telling him to be quiet we are trying to pay more attention to what he is trying to tell us, which is helping somewhat with his behavioural issues.

Thank you so much again for sharing your communication with her. Please feel free to talk to her any time.

        Hi Melanie,

I was planning to speak with one of your kids and message you about your awesome communication and saving the mice, when I saw this. So sorry to hear about Daisy…sending her lots of love and healing light and praying that things improve. I will just talk to her to reassure her and offer support.

Rolo is definitely trying to convey something…I speak from experience of my 9 rescues, each one has had a message. The first one Brownie, now in spirit, kept running away (so dangerous here in the hills and jungle) but no communicator I consulted asked her why. I had a session with Val and she revealed the reason. You’re such a good communicator that I’m sure you will be able to work with him, though I’m sure it’s difficult right now with Daisy being priority.
You know I’m short on practice and self confidence, but I will try to connect with him and see if I get anything.

My thoughts and prayers are with Daisy especially and all of you….look forward to updates if and when you can. Lots of love

Thank you so much for your help, advice and healing. It is very much appreciated.
I struggle communicating with my own dogs as I know them so well, I wonder if what I get is coming from my own head. Like you, I think it comes down to confidence.
One thing with animal communication is you can never be sure yourself if you’ve got it right or not.
You’re doing a great job with your communication. Like me, you need to have more confidence in yourself.

        Thanks again.

Thanks Mel. As Val says, it’s more difficult with our own pets. You got such great validation from the mice, they will bless you. Will be thinking of you and Daisy.
        Lots of love and hugs

      Hello Mel,
I thought I would try to check in with Daisy. I tried twice – and here’s what I got.
Both times at the beginning she did a “sit” – a perfect sit like you might do in dog training. She did two woofs, loud, proper dog woofs.

Second connection was this: She was a very gentle dog. I got that she had been plagued by a type of rheumatism as she got older. She feels the freedome to run and go anywhere now is great. She says she was ready to go. She was sad to leave you and the family. She said, however, that it was like being a on a conveyor belt of energy that pulled her and it was right for her to go.
She showed me herself lying on a the grass on her side with her tail wagging. She showed me playing in the back garden behind your house in summer. The tennis ball on a string on a pole game was there. Paving slabs. Poeple sitting outside on chairs talking and laughing. The joy in being together.
She was very much a family dog, but you were her leader, and feeder. She says: Mel helped me grow up. I supported her, she leaned on me and I gave her strength. We grew together, we grew very close, our lives merged, We were united. She sent you a healing light of pale violet/pink colour into your heart.

      First connection:
Daisy talked about Beau: He’s still a little confused about what his life is and the way things are. My impression was the he isn’t quite sure about “permanent” – there’s a part of him waiting to be moved on because that’s how things have always been. He is doing well. It will take time for him to settle. He is happy and fits in.
Re herself: she liked a vigorous rub up and down the top spine. She sent a rainbow symbol. She says: lets go play, run and I see her bounding around and running in fields. Life is fun, energy.
She sends great love. So much love – like sending your a column of love from her to you like the STar trek beam. She says: I will protect you.
I hope some of this is specific enough – that’s my aim: to be able to get specific.
Thank you Daisy and Thank you Mel for all your communications too,
      Rosemary

      Hi Rosemary,

Thank you so much for connecting with my girl.

She often would sit in front of us to get our attention, also the 2 woofs were to get attention, especially if she wanted to play.

Although she could be bouncy when excited, she had a very gentle nature and she did struggle a lot with her back legs as she got older – I think it was arthritis, but it could have been rheumatism. We had to shorten her walks, as she got quite stiff and sore with longer walks.

She loved to lie on the grass outside and just be – usually on her belly. However, in her younger days we had more family gatherings she would have played and lay on her side with our kids and nieces. That could have been when we had the ball swing out. I’d forgotten about that.

We have pink paving slabs on a patio area at the end of our garden and crazy paving down the middle, as well.as grass to one side of the garden.

Again your spot on in that she was a family dog, but I was her leader. I did all her training etc in her younger years. We got her when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, so she supported me with my healing, helped me find myself again and gave me a focus whilst I was healing. She helped me on my journey to animal communication and healing. We were very close and I still very much miss having her around in physical form, though she is very much around me in spirit.

Beau is doing well, but he does seem unsure of himself at times, but he seems happy and we’ve built up a great relationship. It’s lovely that Daisy is looking out for him.

Fun and energy describe Daisy to a T. I’m so pleased she can do that again. She liked to be rubbed vigourously on her sides and a good bum rub, to which she would stomp her two front legs, which my son laughingly called ‘The Daisy stomp’ and would sing it to her to the tune of monster mash.

I can feel the love that she sends in my heart centre when I tune it. It’s so strong and beautiful.

Thank you so much for connecting with her.
