We encourage all of you to connect with Beau now and throughout the month.
Tune into Beau first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.

Mel,
I just had a fun conversation with Beau. He’s (He?/She?) excited to be our teacher this month. I seem to be one of the first people to contact him. He feels like he’s just warming up and really likes the idea of meeting so many people. I asked how he likes being a dog. He loves it but shows me how it is a lot of responsibility – I see him going from room to room, checking the space, checking windows, checking that all is safe. It feels like he is your protector, and I got that it is just you with him in the house, or maybe you are his main priority. He feels like he has a lot of energy and likes to play, but also takes life and his responsibilities quite seriously. He does not seem goofy or happy-go-lucky – more mission-oriented .I asked about other animals in the house like cats, or snakes, or other dogs, and he was quite offended that I would think he would allow snakes in the house. He says he is all you need, though I am not sure if that was a definite answer that there are not other animals in the home. I asked if there was anything he’d like to tell you. He says you already know he loves you, so to tell you he really likes the fish treats. I wasn’t sure if I got that right. He showed me it could be turkey, or chicken, but some kind of new treat that he wants more of.
I think that was about it. I thanked him for his time and said I’d probably see him with the rest of the class in about a week and a half.

I’m resharing your feedback here to help others and keep the info together.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely connection with Beau. I’m so pleased he is excited to be
the animal teacher. He lives with my husband, my son and I, but though he loves them both very
much, I am his person. He is very hypervigilant and constantly jumping and barking at the windows,
doors and every sound. Unfortunately, it does make him anxious, so I can see why he sees himself as
my protector and it being a lot of responsibility. We’re working on that with him, as he needs to learn
to relax more. You are spot on with his energy – he loves playing, but he is definitely missionorientated, so I do a lot of training games with him.
We do have another older dog, Rolo, who Beau also likes to police. We feed him fish kibble, but he
often gets his kibble as low level treats whilst training. For newer learning, or more difficult tasks I
give him home made turkey or liver treats, which he loves. I used to give him chopped up liver, but
recently I made liver cake, which he really likes, so the new treats make sense.
That was a great connection. Well done.

As I connected with Beau, I immediately got that he is very loving and sweet, with a very gentle nature. I also got an old-soul feeling from him. He comes across as very smart and well-behaved, and I got the sense that he is more on the observant side. He seems to enjoy simply watching and taking in what is happening around him.
In terms of affection, Beau shared that he enjoys receiving affection, but he was drawing my attention specifically to more intentional petting. I got a visual of gentle, deliberate strokes and the feeling that he especially appreciates affection when it feels like one-on-one quality time with you, rather than just receiving a quick pet here and there. At the same time, he also seems to have a playful side and enjoys interacting and engaging with you.
I let Beau take the lead, and he seemed very intrigued and interested in the idea of being an animal teacher and helping everyone out. He also came across as a deep thinker, almost as though he could become very absorbed in his thoughts and observations. Beau also wanted to share that he is very good at reading people. He showed me how he can stare at someone for long periods of time and create this very deep connection through his gaze. He especially highlighted doing this when he is trying to communicate something. He shared that most of the time, it works and that you do receive the messages he is trying to send you.
When I asked Beau about some of the things he likes and enjoys, I got a visual of him bouncing up and down. Along with this, he shared a feeling of being happy, excited, and energetic. He also showed himself standing up on his back legs quite a bit. I got the impression that this may have something to do with treats, almost as though he might do little tricks or stand up like this when treats are involved. Beau also shared that he loves going places, going on walks, and simply getting out of the house. He showed me an image of himself outside, running around and enjoying having the opportunity to explore and be active.
When I asked about his dislikes, I got that he is not a big fan of being brushed, particularly around his ears. I was also drawn to his tail. I got the sense that his ears and tail may be areas that tend to become more knotted and therefore need more brushing, which he doesn’t seem to particularly enjoy. Beau also shared that he doesn’t like being alone for long periods of time.
When I checked in with Beau about his food and nutrition, he told me that he is “fed very well.” He seemed satisfied with what he is currently eating. I got the impression of higher-quality, more human-type food and possibly wet food as well. He also shared that he likes when you add things to his food. I was specifically picking up carrots as well as something that looked like flakes, possibly some type of topper that is being added to his meals.
Beau shared that he is a good eater and isn’t very picky. I didn’t get the sense that he has a particularly strong preference for one specific flavor or type of food. He also let me know that he gets plenty of treats and showed me an image of a chewing-type stick.
I then performed a body scan and did not detect any pain in Beau’s body. I was, however, drawn to his stomach and got the feeling that he has a sensitive stomach. This felt like it could potentially show up as some digestive upset or sensitivity. I was also picking up a feeling of nausea. Interestingly, I didn’t feel that there was necessarily a correlation between his food and the stomach upset I was sensing. Instead, I was getting more of a sense that there could potentially be other sensitivities involved, such as allergies or environmental sensitivities.
When I asked Beau if he had any other requests, he simply shared that he would like more playtime, more activities with you, and more opportunities to be outside.
When I asked Beau about his purpose or mission with you, he shared that he is here to help ground you and bring you back into balance. He is also here to provide emotional support when you need it. At the same time, he shared that part of his role is reminding you to have fun—to take breaks, play, and simply allow yourself to be present in the moment.
For his final message, Beau shared: “I love her so much. We mean a lot to each other, and I’m always there for her. I love when she talks to me and when we’re in sync and on the same page. Sometimes she doubts it, and I would just encourage her to trust herself more and lean into the moment. Don’t worry about how it should be or how it should look. Just be.”

Wow! Tatiana, what a fantastic connection you had with Beau. He is very smart and very loving. He tries his best to behave and loves training, but as an adolescent he is still learning, especially around his social skills with people and other dogs. On the whole though he is a good dog and wants to be good.
He is quite an anxious, high arousal dog and very hypervigilant, so whilst very watchful he is not the calmest. However, having recently been studying the gut-brain relationship on my canine behaviourist course I have been suspecting some gut issues could be affecting this behaviour, which you have clearly picked up on.
You absolutely nailed it with the petting and attention. He withdraws from a quick pat, but loves to sit on my knee and have firm strokes and massages, or else he cuddles right in. He is very playful and we both enjoy playing fun games and skill building games together.
Beau does indeed have the border collie stare and once he gets past his initial fear of people he is pretty good at reading them. I do sometimes catch him lying down and watching me, as though he’s thinking.
He is very good at letting me know what he wants – which he is able.to do through his gaze or through rounding me up.
Beau loves to explore and we often take him to the countryside with us in the campervan, where he gets to explore lots of new smells and sometimes run off the lead, which he loves. He is very energetic and very active and needs lots of physical and mental stimulation.
He does indeed stand up tall – I call it his meercat impression, as he has short legs and a long body. Sometimes we do turn it into a trick and I lure him into a pirouette. He is very bouncy when playing and often runs and bounces off the back of the sofa when he gets the zoomies.
You are absolutely right about him hating having his tail and ears brushed, but they do get knotty very easily.
He doesn’t like to be left alone for long either, though he rarely is.Beau eats fish kibble, which I often use as training treats. However I also make my own treats for him – turkey and liver cake or I cut up some sausages for his higher level reward. In the mornings I break up half a weetabix with oat milk for him and put some probiotics with it, so that will be the flakes and topper you saw. My husband also gives him some raw veg at lunch time, so he gets quite a varied diet. He’s allergic to chicken, which makes him itch. He did go through a phase of bringing up a bit of bile in the morning, which is why I started giving him weetabix in case he was hungry. That seemed to have done the trick.
He has been itching a bit again recently, so I do wonder if there is something else knocking his gut off. I will get it checked out. He is a chewer, so we give him a yak chew in the evenings for a bit of enrichment too.
His comment about more time with me made me laugh. He would be glued to me if he could. He is very demanding of my attention and doesn’t like me being occupied in other things.
He definitely brings more fun and play into my life and through play and training games he has set me on a career changing path which I believe is where I’m meant to be.
His message is lovely and very reassuring. He’s a very special little chappie, who has carved a huge space in my heart in a very short time.

Then I saw him sitting on a small island in the middle of a calm lake. The Island looked like a turtle. Then my cat Bubba came in the room. Beau said “he’ll help you.” That’s all I got

Hi Mel, I very quickly connected with Beau. I asked him what his character was like and he said he was playful and serious, serious about playing and he laughed. he was pretty funny. It was a very quick chat… He loves his fur and his coloring and is a bit of a show off. He said he sometimes has a tummy ache and a spot on his right front foot or lower leg bothers him. Then he told me I had to get to bed and get some sleep… Good night!!!

Thank you for connecting with Beau. He is dedinitely serious about playing. He loves to play and can be very mischievious.
He is occasionally sick in the mornings, so I tend to give him some weetabix in the morning to line his tummy. It is worth investigating that further if he is complaining of tummy ache. I can’t find anything on his legs or paws that seem to be bothering him though. I’ll keep an eye on it. Thank you.

Hi Mel and Beau!!
I told him I had a hectic week at work and asked if he would mind if I chatted with him to “get back in the swing of things” with my animal communication. He said he didn’t mind at all and was happy to help! He said that is why he is here as the featured animal teacher – to help us! So sweet. So, we chatted and here is what he told me…I immediately got from him that he hoards. I asked what that was about. He said he likes to hoard things, like his toys. Not hide them, hoard them. He said he wants to make sure he has enough and that they are “protected”. He insinuated that this was a current habit of his, but I also got that this stemmed from something in the past.
He said he does interact with other animals and plays nicely with the ones in his house. He said he likes to sleep in his own bed. I sensed that he prefers to sleep in his own bed rather than sleeping in your bed at night – something about space, not enough of it. 😄 He said he is not a high energy pup, but a lower energy one, calm, but very alert and aware. But he said he does get the zoomies. He said he LOVES treats!
He had a very soft but loving energy about him. I sensed he is very sweet towards those he trusts and loves but cautious with outsiders.
I hope some of this resonates. I appreciate him allowing me to practice with him to help clear my mind from the busy week and get back to being in the right place to hear our precious animals. Love him! ❤️ Thank you for sharing him with us!! ❤️

Hi Shelley, what a lovely chat. Beau is very sweet and very loving to those he knows well as you said. With strangers he is very wary and a little anxious around them, until he gets to know them.
He does tend to get on well with the dogs he meets and just wants to play, though he can be reactive on the lead due to barrier frustration. He and Rolo get on ok and will cuddle up together, but play alongside each other, as Rolo is a bit too old to be bothered with a young pup now. Beau adores my daughter’s old dog though and tries to play more with him when he visits.
Beau does try to hoard the toys for himself when playing, but doesn’t get away with it, as Rolo still likes to play with us too, so I make sure he shares.
At night time he races Rolo to get to his own bed, otherwise Rolo gets in it. Rolo likes to take things that aren’t his and will happily jump in Beau’s bed because he knows it is Beau’s. Even though their beds are identical, Beau does like his own bed. The two beds are next to each other, so maybe Beau would prefer me to move Rolo’s, so he has more space. You’re right, he doesn’t sleep on our bed.
In terms of energy, Beau does have like to bomb about when he’s playing, and he definitely gets the zoomies, but in spurts. Mentally he is very clever and struggles to switch off, so he needs a lot of enrichment and mental stimulation.
Well done you picked up a lot from him.

I can see the concept of feline,as he can be quite slinky in his movements at times. He does sometimes spin and chase his tail. We alao do some spins with him whilst playing tug games.
You’re right about the fuss – energetic when playing and gentle around the head an chest and firm strokes on body when relaxed.
His interpretation of his role made me laugh. My interpretation of that is he’ll bark and bark and bark to get my attention when I’m doing something until I need to put him on a lead or in his crate for some down time, or else I have to go to another room to get my work done.
I love his message for my husband and I.
I don’t give him hot dogs because they’re really bad for him, but I do sometimes cut up mini sausages for him as treats and he is part sausage dog 🙂
I saw similar colours with him when I connected and he does love to play, including the training games we do.

Beau is a very sweet boy, happiest when playing, training, walking and getting food and fuss. He does get very anxious about certain things too. He loves exploring the countryside and woodlands, which explains why you are seeing lots of leaves.
He’s more of a raised eyebrow, intense look and springing into action, rather than cocking his head kind of dog. Rolo is the one who tends to cock his head more. He is more of a tail swisher than a wagger.
Sadly lavendar isn’t very safe for dogs. However, he does often find it hard to properly settle during the day and wakes up at the drop of a hat, so the lavendar could be symbolic of him needin to sleep better during the day.
I do believe we’ve shared a past life together and we dedinitely have a strong bond.
He does prefer firm strokes of the ears when relaxed, but hates me getting knots out of them.
I haven’t noticed him to be in any pain, but will keep an eye on it.
His message to his dad to stop fretting is valid. We’ve been having work done on the house, which my husband has found quite stressful.
I definitely get a sense of him being a teacher and protector.

He’s still finding his own way of self-expression. (ie not really clear yet on how to show up in the world if you know what I mean)
He loves chicken or any meat. He is happy to eat anything. Likes cheese. So grateful for any food – he really enjoys it.
I sensed a strong energy around his crown going down into earth through his front legs.
His digestion isn’t perfect – it feels like it is still adapting from other food of some sort. Feels mushy and a sort of neutral non-descript flavour.
He feels Rolo is now a friend. He is attached and loves him. Rolo is like an anchor.
His ideal thing to love doing would be to relax at night so much he can lie with his legs in the air. It’s seems like this is his dream. Relaxed he would love a tummy rub.
He is very interested in the world. He loves finding out about things and learning.
He doesn’t like to be come up upon – approached from where he can’t see. He prefers to be approached from the front. He seems to like a firmish stroke over the shoulder and down but not for too long.
His body is not too relaxed. He is alert. Hi back legs take the strain from that.
He loves to play.
He would like to be in this family. He is still settling. He feels beings pulled together by love energy. He is still finding his shape and shifting around into others’ shapes. (I think he is describing the process of settling in.)
Re you Mel: we are going forward together, learning together. It is a transition time.
Message for me: Relax. Keep going. Step by step forward. That is our responsibility.
I see an image of him lying with his head to one side on his paws looking up at me. He lies and is aware and feels the earth’s vibrations.

He is also an adolescent, so tries to push the boundaries a little at times.

Whilst he does like chicken, it makes him very itchy, so he can’t have it. He loves primula cheese, which he licks from the tube as a training treat.

“He doesn’t like to be come up upon – approached from where he can’t see. He prefers to be approached from the front. He seems to like a firmish stroke over the shoulder and down but not for too long.
His body is not too relaxed. He is alert. Hi back legs take the strain from that.” Yes. He is quite nervous and doesn’t like people to lean over and pat his head, or come from where he can’t see them. He prefers it if people get down to his level and stroke him firmly. He loves to be strojed like that in the shoulders, but also likes a firm rub on the shoulders when excited.
He absolutely loves to play.He is still finding his shape and shifting around into others’ shapes. (I think he is describing the process of settling in.) Yes, and I also think he may be referring to his training, where we are working with him to shape his behaviours into more appropriate ones.
His message to me makes sense as we are working together with our training and skill building, to help him feel happy, confident and well behaved and for me to grow into a new career as a clinical canine behaviourist.

Thanks for connecting with Beau. You’ve picked up on his character very well.
Whilst out on the field he loves to run around in circles and he is indeed very quick witted and alert.He is very wary of the unknown, but is more likely to hit it head on, barking and jumping up at people (if allowed to approach) to get a sense of them and trying to lick them.
He is very busy and does need a lot of enrichment or jobs to do. He doesn’t switch off easily and is quick to bark at outside noises or passers by. He also polices our other dog, Rolo, so it doesn’t surprise me that he thinks he’s in charge and is trying to protect us all, though I am working on these behaviours with him.
His fur is silky and he likes a form stroke down his back, but will only accept a lighter touch on his head when he’s relaxed. He has a very sensitive nose and sense of hearing and does love to chase. His idea of playing is chasing a ball and running around with it. He’s not fully got the retrieve part yet.
He is a sweet soul and we love him to bits. We’re lucky to have found him too.

It is quite a while again I was able to have a conversation with animals and have not yet been able to watch the last coaching call, but it was so nice to connect with Beau today!A few things that I initially picked up about Beau when I tuned in: I saw him following you very closely, while you are holding a treat in your hand, his head goes up straight and is excited to get the treat.
He shows to have a younger kind of energy, playful and also very focused on ‘his human’ (you), he jumps up very quickly when you leave the room. It looks like he keeps an eye on you or the surroundings, even when he rests or seems to rest. Then I see again an image of him following a treat and turning in rounds like he seems so excited about it. He is curious to other dogs of his size. He comes across very focused and really paying attention to what he sees.He is eager to have a conversation and curious what I would like to talk about. I mentioned it’s a while since my last animal conversation and he immediately says I don’t need to be anxious and he is going to help me, he says it is ‘his specialty’.
He also emphasized there is no reason to feel overcautious, true connection is fluent and I should not worry but just go with the flow, worries only distract and are not good for my wellbeing. And he concludes by saying animals can lead by example…(such a wise dog…)He is ok to answer some questions and I can share his responses with you.
He says he is your sweetheart and you really love him.
I also hear he is very good at retrieving and fetching, he listens carefully and follows well. He has been raised very well, he knows what is (not) allowed.
He mentioned he also brings joy and lightness, he says following the rules is good but sometimes it is good to also take it a bit lighter. He says ‘what they call balance’.He supports you even when you are not aware of it. When you go through a difficult time, you tend to get into your head easily, so he brings you back into your body, to feel, to slow down, to ground. He says the stories in your head can start to live their own life and he helps you to ground and land again. He then says you reassure him or calm him down by petting him, often on his head and he says you like to do this, it also calms you down.
He shares he is sensitive, he picks up information before it is even said out loud, so he already knows when it is actually verbally expressed by humans. That is why he may react in advance, also e.g when going for a walk, playing outside, going somewhere,….
He likes to go places but as long as it is not too busy, as he is easily overstimulated. He says you know, and you take it into account and you know him very well.I am seeing pictures of him fetching a ball but sometimes he keeps running around and does not want to give the ball back, he wants to keep it as a sort of ‘trophy’.
He mentioned he lives in a nice neighborhood, kind people, care for one another, he knows who he can trust.
He mentioned you are also eager to help other people, that you like to support or ask people if they need help.
He says you are a sweet soul.I did not really pick up about other animals in the house, he referred to a feral ginger cat who comes by but stays at a distance, she told him she is abandoned and no longer trusts people. She is learning to approach people if she feels the human is ok with animals.
During the conversation he seemed to mention that you were alone at home at that time and your husband left early. I also picked up there is a kid that comes to stay but leaves most of the time.
And lastly, I suddenly picked up ‘snoring’ .., so I asked what he means and he says ‘I am sometimes snoring while sleeping, but mom does too. I heard ‘snoring in concert’ so, at the same time..I thanked him for the nice conversation, he seems like a really nice and wise dog.

Hi Irmgard what a lovely conversation you had with Beau. He is indeed my sweetheart and I love him to bits. You summed up his character and behaviours very well. He does follow me around the house and I have his full attention when the training treats are out. He has been learning to spin for a treat too. Even when fast asleep at night if I get up he gets up and comes with me. He’s always alert to my movements.
Beau does love other dogs, especially around his size. He can get a bit nervous with bigger dogs.
Beau is still learning to retrieve. He will chase, but not necessarily bring back yet. We’re working on it. He loves to learn new things -especially for treats.
It made me laugh when you say he knows what’s not allowed, as he is quick to tell our other dog Rolo off for doing things he shouldn’t, but his mischievious side doesn’t stop him, especially when he wants attention – maybe that’s his balance (haha).
I am often busy and in my head and he does indeed bring me back down and keeps me focused – often on him – lol. I do find it relaxing to softly stroke his ears and head, which he will only let me do when we’re relaxing together.
Beau is pretty sensitive to sights, sounds and emotions, but this can sometimes lead to a delay in following commands. He can get very overstimulated, especially when he sees other dogs on the lead. We’ve been working very hard to help him disengage from them, so I do tend to take him to quieter areas when I can.
He does like to run off with his toys, rather than bring them back. He gathers them together around him sometimes too, to claim them as his.
We do live in a nice neighbourhood, where we’ll help each other out if needed, though not in each other’s pockets.
It’s interesting that you mention a feral ginger cat in the neighbourhood. I did see one mentioned on Facebook a few months ago that was aggressive towards people passing. We haven’t encountered it ourselves though, so I’m surprised that Beau is aware of it.
If the time shown is uk time my husband would have been home, whilst I left early for work. The kid would probably be be my 23yr old daughter who visits on Friday, who he adores.
The snoring part made me laugh – between my husband, my older dog, Beau and myself I can imagine there is quite a concert at night – haha.

Hi Mel, thanks for allowing us to connect to your handsome boy. Beau came up eagerly, almost impatient, lifting his right paw in greeting.
He runs fast, and suddenly slows down to look, as if remembering something.
He is outgoing, and has high energy. The aura is largely orange, which may be why the temperature is warm, and a bit high around the tail. He has a strong life force, and is soft to the touch, likes being stroked near the neck.
He is trying to make sense of the world, but feels settled in his body. He enjoys sitting by a window and keeping watch.
His role is that of a teacher and guide, and senses your moods beforehand.

Hi Nita,
I love that you sensed his impatience. Beau can be impatient and easily frustrated. I’m teaching him to give his paw when he wants something instead of barking.
He does run fast outside, but will slow down to check where we are and run back for a treat when called.
He is very high energy and dies like to say hello to people and dogs, but he is quite anxious about it and doesn’t always approach in an appropriate way yet.
When he’s relaxed he likes to be stroked near the neck and he loves a good shoulder rub.
Beau does like to sit on the back of the sofa neer the window, but we don’t let him as he barks at everything and anyone passing.
He is very sensitive to emotions and it makes perfect sense thathe has a teacher role, as he’s helping me with my dog behaviourist course and dog training by practising the techniques on him to help him build the skills he needs.
He is an absolute superstar and I’m so glad he was brought into my life.

Hi Mel, thanks very much for the encouraging feedback. My laptop has been erratic, and packed up as I was trying to reply yesterday!
Talk about barking at everything and everyone…my 5 will put any dog to shame! You can imagine when all 9 were here…and the sound echoing around the mountains! Oh I didn’t realize you’re doing the courses….more power to you. So your boy is both teacher and subject!!So happy for both of you.
