David D has volunteered to host his dog, Katie, as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher. Gold and Platinum members will have an opportunity to connect with Katie along with Val on the Q&A call Saturday, February 12 using the new call in numbers (found in your course materials) and check your time on a world clock.
We encourage all of you to connect with Katie now and throughout the month.
Tune into Katie first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Katie feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc. Ask Katie ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Have fun!
. Katie

Hi David,
I am still a beginner student and am not yet able to make a proper communication.
But I have tried the exercice « becoming one with an animal » and here is what I received:
Katie gave me the impression to be playful, joyful, happy, vivid, to have a lot of energy. May like sometimes playing tricks, always ready to have fun and playing games. May be naughty sometimes. Very positive, without fuss. Likes other humans and other animals as long as they are cool to her. Loves her food and gooddies. Completely in love with the one that took the picture of her (if it is you David, you are her hero and she would do anything for you).
Looking forward to your comments for which I thank you in advance.

Hi Evelyne,
I am also a beginner so don’t worry about trying to tune into everything..it takes time. Katie is playful, joyful and happy. Her energy is somewhat lacking these days since she is 13 years old, but her spirit is energetic! She does like to have fun, and sometimes gets into things (like a bag of treats) so she can be a little naughty! You’re right that she does like other people and animals, but is cautious at first. She likes her food and loves treats. I’m glad to hear she loves the one who took the picture, because that’s me! Thanks for your insights!

Hi David,
I was wondering whether Katie’s picture had been taken now at 13 or earlier?
big hugs to Katie -

The picture was taken around a year ago, so it’s pretty much how she looks today.

I am a beginner and excited to get some feedback from David about Katie. I have a vivid imagination so need to distinguish this from the real communcation.
Even though she is happy and contented now I got a feeling of sadness regarding her early life. Don’t know whether David is her first owner or whether she had a rocky start? However she knows she is safe and loved now and is grateful to David and loves him very much.
very much. Would love some feedback. Thanks

Hi Pam, sorry for the delay in responding. I’m in the same boat as you–I’m a beginner and imagine what animals are thinking/saying. I’m not sure about Katie’s early life (or past lives). I adopted her when she was 5 years old. On the February monthly call and some responses here indicated some trauma in the past, so I think you’re correct in getting that she had a rocky start (or past life). Thanks for reaffirming that she knows she is safe, loved and grateful. We love each other very much. Thanks for communicating with Katie!

Hi David,
Thank you for offering Katie as the Featured Animal Teacher. I sense she is very warm in general and very incredibly warm and Loving towards you. I am getting she’s very in tune with you and always help you feel better when you’re experiencing any negative feelings (sadness, anxiety, worry, and such). She says that she doesn’t dwell on sad things and when you’re sad tries to lift your spirits. Katie says she can be quite a goof ball-especially when she was younger and particularly as a six month old puppy. She said you got her when she was about six months. She said she’s also inquisitive and asks you a lot of questions involving humans and being a human and now that you’re learning how to be able to talk to her that you have answered some of her many numerous questions. She says, « For the Life of me, I cannot understand why humans are so stuck in their heads, their eggs, materialistic things, etc. and aren’t in their hearts simply just BEing. After all, that’s what we came into lifetimes for essentially -to BE. You would think humans with all their so called intelligence (although sometimes in some regards I don’t see their intelligence), that they would have realized about just BEing since it’s in their species name. All beings are meant to just BE. »
Oh my gosh ! Thank you endlessly for pointing this out to me, Katie. You’re an Angel, my dear. I know about being in the heart and not in the head, holding negative emotions lightly, and that our Souls have purposes in each lifetime. I knew about just BEing, but hadn’t made the connection with the name of the species (human being) and just BEing. It would do many human beings good to realize that! Thank you, Katie. I am giving her a hug.
I am writing this and will return to the previous paragraph, but she said about negative emotions and toxicity and ruining the peace and so does being stuck in the head especially when it doesn’t help you come up with answers. She said when you’re out if your mind and in your heart the answers will come -especially heart related answers. Make mistakes -it’s okay.
I thanked her for our chat.
I asked her if there’s anything else she would like to talk about. She asked me to tell you she’s okay and the thing with work or family you’re dealing with is going to be okay. She says to follow her guidance-to pay attention to her in the next coming few weeks. She also asked me to ask you if you two and your other dog can go to the beach or somewhere with relaxing water and asked for treats while there-and any other time you feel so inclined. She said they, particularly her, are not ones to turn down treats. She said what one doesn’t want the other eats. She also said she and the other dog and you are best friends and Love each other to the Moon and Back. She sent a heart.
I told her how sweet, and wise, and beautiful she is. I told her I Love her. I gave her a kiss, a hug, and a pat on the head. I look forward to talking again, Katie. She said, « Anytime, Martha, me, too. You’re a sweetheart and a bit confused now -remember to not be afraid to make mistakes and to just be in your heart -just BE.
Thank you, Katie. I Love you.-

Hi Martha,
Thanks for communicating with Katie. She is very warm and loving and in tune to me. There are times when I do have negative emotions and she’s always there for me, so that’s spot on! She was much more playful when she was young, although she did not come into my life until she was 3 years old, and I can picture her as a goofball pup.
I think it’s interesting that she’s curious about the human experience, and think it’s great that she thinks people should be in their hearts and not their heads, because I am in my head all the time. I appreciate the message that we should just “be” and I will try to do so. Thanks for getting that!
Thanks for telling me that she’s okay and the thing with work is going to be okay. I have been unemployed for well over a year now. I will follow her request and pay close attention to her the next few weeks, although I’m not sure what type of guidance she wants to provide, unless it’s about her health.
I will try to make it to someplace with water when it warms up a bit. It’s funny about wanting treats whenever I’m so inclined–she and Frankie LOVE treats, and Katie will steal Frankie’s rawhide if he leaves it. The dogs and I are best friends, but Katie usually does not like Frankie and just tolerates him. I don’t understand why that is, unless Katie doesn’t want to share me with anyone else.
Thanks for your insightful communication with Katie!

I just had a brief chat with Katie. I told her she looked like a very happy dog, that I loved her smile. She asked me if I had any dogs and I told her I had two cats but no dogs. She asked me if I wanted to have a dog and I explained that I am not allowed to have a dog. I said I have a neighbor dog that is a friend, that I always talk to. She asked what the neighbor dog’s name was and if she talked to me. I said her name is Shalo and that I just tell her how much I love her and that the is my doggie friend. It was just a short intro chat. I explained that a week from tomorrow she will have lots of us talking to her at once including her Mom and Val. She asked if I would be there and I said I would. I told Katie that I looked forward to connecting with her then and other times during the month.

Hi Martha,
Thanks for having a brief chat with Katie. I think it’s interesting that she asked you about dogs in your life. Maybe you’re destined to have one if and when you move? Thanks for giving her a heads up about the call with Val and her Dad being there to communicate with her. I look forward to hearing what everyone has to say after communicating with her!

I tried to connect with Katie yesterday. I feel that she enjoys running in zigzags and chasing sticks. There is a cat around that doesn’t like to play chase, and she thinks David is funny (in a good way). That’s all.

Hi Greta,
Thanks for trying to connect with Katie. In her younger days (she’s 13 now) she loved to fetch things. I don’t recall if she ran zigzags. There is a cat around now, who she does not care for. I’m glad she thinks I’m funny! -

Hi David,
From a few days ago I got the sense that Katie is a sweet, middle-aged dog who is joyful and happy to be alive. She loves her family and is a bit of a trickster sometimes, in the most playful of ways. I asked what she loves to do and she said run in her backyard. As for her favorite food she said a bit of cinnamon roll if I’m lucky! She said she has one brother, a cat, who she’s good friends with and they play together. Her favorite color is pink. She sees her role as one that brings joy to her family, and bringing them peace. She loves the snow and wishes it would snow more.
From today I got that someone new came over and after a short bark she was very happy to see this person. When I asked if there was anything she wanted to tell me she said “science is weird. And hard” and that we sometimes watch it on TV and she likes watching and learning! As for things she doesn’t like she said at first she didn’t like having her teeth brushed but now she doesn’t mind that much. When I asked what she likes most about her life she said she felt lucky. She has seen others who aren’t so lucky. I thanked her for her time and she said “you’re welcome. Come back again”! 🙂

Hi Anne,
Thanks for connecting with Katie. It’s interesting that she says she’s middle-aged, because she’s 13 years old. Let’s hope it’s middle-age and she lives to 20! At 13, she doesn’t run much anymore, but she does like the backyard. I’m afraid she has 2 brothers, who she just tolerates. One is a cat, though. Frankie is a 12-year-old boy and Buddy is a 1-year-old cat. She does bring me joy and peace. As far as snow, I think she must have experienced it when she was young, because I adopted her at 5-years-old, and we haven’t been in snow. Someone did come over recently and she is happy she’s here. I’m intrigued that she thinks science is weird and hard! The TV is on most of the time but she doesn’t seem to watch it. I’m glad she feels lucky; I’m lucky to have her in my life.

Hi, just tried to connect with Katie,
I am still very new at this.
When I look at Katies eyes my heart swells.
She is so beautiful! I get the picture of her running around with a frisbee or something in her mouth. She is so happy and busy playing with her thing that she has no time come and say hello. At the same time she feels very talkative, and happy to connect with me. I see her jump into a car and get the sense she loves to go on car rides with you. Sitting in the front seat with the window open, she is so happy. Vagging her tail , ready for new adventures.
Running out in the water to get something you through in there.
I see her sometimes bark to get your attention.
Does she herd some other animals around?
Is her right hip a bit sore?
She wants to be with you more. She prefer human food, the kind you eat.
Did she loose one of her friends, and the loss mad her sad and depressed?
When you sit in front of her on the floor, does she put her head on your shoulder?
She says life is beautiful.
Thanks for letting us talk with her.
Love

Hi Eva,
Thanks for connecting with Katie and saying she is beautiful!
At 13 years old, she doesn’t run much anymore, but she does carry around stuffed toys. She does take every opportunity to go for drives which she loves. However, she sits in the back. I’m not sure about the water thing…we have not been to the water together, but maybe when she was young because I adopted her when she was 5 years old. She always barks to alert me to the mailman’s arrival. I don’t think she herds anyone, but my other dog Frankie herds a cat around. She does have a slight mobility issue and has a little difficulty standing up. You’re spot on saying she wants to be with me more. She follows me around the house and wants to go with me when I leave to run errands. However, being unemployed I am home all the time so she has me all the time! As far as losing a friend, that may have been when I first adopted her. There was another dog in her previous family that she had to leave. She doesn’t put her head on my shoulder, but when I scratch her chest, she puts her paw on my arm. I’m glad to hear she says life is beautiful. Thanks again for connecting with her!

I tuned into Katie during the call. She was wondering what was going on early on when Val was explaining the process. I think she was ready for the conversation to start. She loved it when so many were talking to her at once. She thought that was a lot of fun. I saw us all sitting in a circle and she was in the center going from one person to another. She would go up to someone and go down on her front legs with her rear end in the air being playful and then going to another person and doing the same thing. She really did seem to be having a good time with it. Later she was wondering where everyone went and I told her we would be talking to her all month. She was glad to hear that.

Thanks for sharing that Katie enjoyed the call. I think she may have been using a more youthful energy to communicate back, because she can’t really play bow anymore due to her age and joint issues. Thanks for telling her that we’d be chatting with her in the future.

Hi
I connected with Katie while on the call today – I am very new to the program but gave it a shot! I sensed playfulness and a happy pup. One thing that was interesting was that I saw something red like one of the other people said – I couldn’t tell what it was but red was the color! I thought that was neat. That was fun!

Hi Carmen,
Thanks for connecting with Katie! She is happy but not as playful as she was when she was younger. She’s 13 now, but she probably has a playful spirit. The only red thing I could think of is a new cat toy–a big red web ball with catnip that makes a bird noise when it rolls.

Hi David.
I was not able to attend to the call on Saturday unfortunately, and I wanted to try to connect with Katie before listening to the recorded file, to not get any pre-readings from others. Still in the beginning class, practicing.I contacted her just a few minutes ago and we had a short conversation. She said; look at the meaning of life, gifts are given every minute for everyone.
She feels a little worry over her left leg. Talking about a trip to Orlando some time, causing some pain to the leg.I feel she is happy, wise. Katie sais: I see my own life as a happy life. My David will soon go out with me for a walk. I have been trained to take a walk after eating.
We have a different way of thinking in Sweden compared to USA, she says (I do not know what she refers to and what was on her mind)
She talks about sleeping in the kitchen, she likes that.
Sometimes she says she have a pain in one of her back legs, arthritis. She is wise, saying the mind knows everything and it feels good to know that. But also that agressions are a part of life.
Thank you for the contact with Katie.
Regards Britt-Marie-

Hi Britt,
Thanks for communicating with Katie. Especially thanks for the message from her about the meaning of life.
At 13, she does have joint issues. I will keep track of her left leg, because I’m sure she has some arthritis. If she went to Orlando it was before I adopted her. She was 5 when she came to me. Katie is a happy girl. She probably likes to sleep in the kitchen because the floor is cool. It’s nice to know she says the mind knows everything, which we can all appreciate. I think that the aggressions part is directed at my other dog Frankie. I’d love to know more about why she doesn’t like her brother.

I connected with Katie today and she says she is here to create happiness and make people worry less. Be more in their hearts than in the their heads.
I feel so much love when I see her. She says she is very busy. She takes her job as the teacher of the month very seriously. I ask her if it has affected her relationship with Frankie? She feels she has more self esteem now. She feels recognized. I get the feeling that she has had som issues about feeling less than him in the future, and it is stuck with her. So she feels the need to be acknowledged and have your attention. (which she has)
She says she receive so much healing and love from all of us when we talk with her. It is almost overwhelming. She sends me lots of love, and tells me to rest when I feel the need. You don’t have to do so much.
Thanks for letting me speak with such an amazing soul.-

Hi Eva,
Thanks for connecting to Katie. She is fulfilling her purpose because she makes me happy and worry less. I had Katie for a year before adding Frankie to the family. Maybe she was jealous of the attention I gave him and had to share that attention. I’m glad she is receiving healing and love from the group. Thanks for your part.

Hi, David.
Iam a beginner student, and also recently joined this club. Any feedback would be appreciated very much .
Katie has such a gentle soul. I asked her to tell me about herself. She says, she is very playful, fun and very smart girl. I immediatedly senced that she has a very gentle soul and she is also a thinker.
Then I asked what her favorite things. She shaid she loves her family and very proud of her pack. She has a job to protect whole family and she is very proud of her job. She showed me a little kid, a cat and a dog who is smaller than her. She said she love them all but they can be crazy sometimes and she tolerates them well.( I am not sure if you have a kid or maybe she likes children in general)She also love to play a fetch a ball or any toys. But I senced that she hasnt too playful as used to. She said she also love nature and advanure. She showed me somewhere with water , mabe a lake where she enjoyed being there.
I asked her favorite food to eat. She showed me a bone or some sort of chewying treat that she really likes and she thinks that is very special to her.
She loves to be pet by under chn, ears, neck. Loves to cuddle , She loves to sit next to you watch TV. but she gets hot easily.
I scanned her body. I sensed some pressure on upper gums. Slight tightness on upper body, between the shoulder blade. Slight tightness on lower back close to left hip/sacrum. Some tension on her Left knee.
Thank you so much for letting me connect with Katie. Thank you, David.

Hi Nami,
Welcome to the club! You seem to have gotten quite a bit from Katie for being a beginner. I also sense a gentle soul, and it’s interesting to know she’s a thinker. I’m glad she’s proud of her pack and of her job protecting it.
I don’t have any kids but think that she likes them as long as they treat her well. There is a cat and Frankie is about 10 pounds smaller than Katie. She loves her toys but doesn’t fetch them like she used to. At 13 she’s a lot slower. Another person says she liked water; this may have been from before I adopted her but will try to get her to some water to play! I think the bone/chewy treat might be some new “Greenie”-type chew treats that are sort of bone-shaped that I recently purchased.
You’re right that she loves to cuddle. She likes any and all attention that I give her, whether it’s petting her ears, neck, butt and wags her tail during it. I can see how she may get hot easily, because her coat is pretty thick right now. She’s going to the groomer Monday! I find it interesting how she feels pressure on certain parts of her body. She does have a hip/knee issue.
Keep up the good work! -

Feb. 12 during our class. She feels very bright, happy and friendly. Very easy to connect with her. She is a guide. She immediately wants to talk about this puppy that was mistreated, taken away? …she is showing me, he is not the same species it’s a Rottweiler puppy. She is very concerns and feel bad that she cannot do anything about it. I am in my heart and I am just expanding so this can be healed, it continued for a while even after i was done talking with her and Val on the call.
I did a shamanic journey for her on Feb. 12, without describing all I saw in the journey, it was cleared that this was from a past life life and there was a ceremony going on and it looks like she was going to be eaten …and it was still not cleared if she was the observer or if it was her we were watching together? I did not have time to do more so I would connect another time.
Feb. 16, 22 I connected with her again to see if there are more healing to be done or said regarding this incident she is showing me. Within seconds, Immediately she is showing the puppy merging in and out of her body. I think she is answering my previous question from the journey it was her, she was that puppy. Something from her past that needs to be resolved, she is integrating it and seems to have to do with David.
Feb. 17, 22 connect with her again today, she shows me a puff of smoke and I see the little puppy happy inside her in her chest. I wonder if I need to do anything else, I am trying different questions but I just need to be in my heart and let this expansion happen naturally between us, I just see her being fixated looking intensively in one direction and it feels like she is looking at her person…. Something needs to be realized so she can go in peace when her time comes.
This is all i can get from her i would like very much David if you could investigate this with her and let me know what you find out and what this is about if anything shows up for you.
Thank you I really love Katie, she is so bright, i love our heart connection.-

Hi Berenice,
Thanks so much for connecting with Katie and trying to help heal her. It’s very interesting about this puppy and her feelings of helplessness. Thanks for taking the shamanic journey; it’s horrifying to hear that she knew she was going to be eaten! I find it very interesting she’s showing you a puppy and that something from her past needs to be resolved. I’m not clear on what it has to do with me but I am willing to do nearly anything to help heal her. I do know that she stares at me sometimes as if she wants to communicate with me, but I have a hard time reading her. I’d love to know what she wants me to realize so she can be at peace. She is 13, so I know her time here is limited.
Thanks for communicating with her, and let me know if you can learn anything more about what she wants me to know or do for her.

Hello David,
Thank you for the feedback on the call last week. I’m not always brave enough to share what I get. I had prepared with a meditation session beforehand and that really helped. I also got some more stuff so I’ll post it:
She was very loving at the first connection. I go that she was an older wise dog.
She said:
I help humans. I have compassion for them.
I asked about her favourite food. She said: everything! (that made me laugh!) She likes chewing meat and biscuits . (In UK we call them biscuits but I’m not sure what you call them in US – crunchy dry things).
She says she’s really good at tricks and being obedient. I got the sense that she meant she knew what commands meant, and she’d learned a lot of them – not the sense the she was passively obedient. She’s proud of her skill.
She wants to play. She loves being outdoors and sunshine.
She showed me a picture of a woman with brown hair. Is that someone you recognise in her life? The woman was inside
She says she’s a good teacher. Her pupose is to help and guide you in life. She feels responsible for the house and looks after the place, she is always aware of what is going on.
She feels stiff sometimes – does she have arthritis in her shoulders? She says some warmth on her stiff joints would help.
Her fur is very soft.
I will connect again and feed back to you. In the meantime – thank you again – I love Katie’s indomitable attitude. I want to be more like Katie!!!
Take care,
Rosemary-

Hello Rosemary,
Thanks for communicating with Katie. She is very loving, she is 13 years old, and I agree she is wise. I’m glad to hear she has compassion for and helps humans! She does love everything I give her as far as food and treats. I do give them dog biscuits. I did teach her several commands when she was younger and she still knows them. She does like to play, albeit she’s slower these days. She does like the sunshine and being outdoors.
I recently had a woman with black hair stay with me for a few weeks, so you’re pretty spot on with that!
She does help and guides me in life, and she looks over the place and sounds the alarm when someone shows up (the mailman!).
I know she feels stiff sometimes; I’m sure she has some arthritis. I’ll try to provide some warmth for her joints. Her fur is soft and will be even more so Monday after her visit to the groomer. I’m worried, though. She always gets very stressed when I drop her off. Maybe if you connect again you can tell her she’s getting a bath, brush and haircut and that it’s OK and I’ll only be apart from her a couple of hours. Thanks!
David

Hello David,
I just tried to connect with Katie about the groomer. So here goes:
Katie says she was very anxious, stressed – and you rescued her and gave her stability and warmth. She is grateful. She says you give her stability.
I asked her about the groomers – what goes on for he when she is there.
I think she said:
I don’t know the people. I feel vulnerable. I’m not at home. It’s unfamiliar. I feel unprotected. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. She said: could you (David) talk her through the order that things will happen? That would help her.
Then she said: It’s an efficient place. Not warm like home. It’s very clean. (not suggesting home isn’t – just that it’s more clinical – I saw pictures of white walls, water, soap, tiles, disinfectant).
I asked her what she doesn’t like about the actual washing process: she said it’s undignified.
I pointed out that afterwards she would be clean. She wasn’t too impressed. So then I said that it’s important to be healthy.
She grudgingly accepted that. Wagged her tail.
She said I did good in communicating. – I had a few times where I went back into my head and had to stop and go back into my heart. I said – isn’t this cool – to be able to communicate like this. She agreed and said she was going back to sleep.
She was in bed. Does she have a round blue bed?
I hope I’m not barking up the wrong tree 🙂

Hi Rosemary,
Thanks for connecting with Katie about the groomer. It’s interesting that she thinks the washing process is undignified. Funny she didn’t care about being clean. I would tell her that it may take care of her itching on her butt. I will try to connect with her to walk her through the steps: first, a bath to make her clean and feel better, then get a haircut so she’ll be cooler and very beautiful!
You did do good communicating! Much better than I can do. As far as her bed, there is a square dog bed with blue on the sides, and there is a folded up deep blue rug next to the bed; it’s not perfectly folded so it may now have curved edges so maybe that’s the roundness you saw.
Thanks again for speaking to Katie!David/

Thanks for the feedback DAvid. Especially the photo – that is the blue I saw. I think my mind added the round bit! I’d be interested to hear how she act at the groomer’s and if it makes any difference. After the actual communication time, I got a better understanding of the undignified part. She feels likes she’s treated like a dog that needs washing, rather than Katie. She doesn’t feel like she’s being treated like an individual – just one of many.

Hey Rosemary,
So Katie acted stressed out when I dropped her off at the groomers, but in the end she allowed them to complete her wash and cut. Frankie, on the other hand, was happy to go in, but started acting aggressively when they went to trim him around his head. The groomer could not complete the job with him. I’ll need to finish his haircut, so I hope he’ll be cooperative.- This reply was modified 2 years, 2 months ago by David DeWitt.

Hi David, thank you for the feedback. I will check in again with Katie and ask her about that. I may not have time today, but definitely tomorrow. Maybe I didn’t connect at all and it was all in my mind. Take care, Rosemary

Hi David. Thank you for the opportunity to talk to Katie. I tried to connect with her – and I’m not sure if this is me or Katie – but this is what I recorded:
Me: Hello Katie is there anything you would like to say?
Katie: It’s lovely to meet you – how wonderful this is for me. I am such a loving dog and I live in such a loving home. I am very very lucky, my life is wonderful. I am very content. I am so happy to help you in any way I can – so go ahead, ask me some questions, I’m waiting eagerly.Me: What do you love to do?
Katie: Cuddle up with David – I love it when he tickles my ear. I put my head in his lap. I am his advisor, his therapist, his stabilizer. I take care of him. I am very motherly towards him. I am looking after him. He feeds me of course but in other ways I am looking after him. I love to do this. I have never been an actual mother but I feel like I am David’s mother. It makes me feel complete, my purpose. It makes me feel like a mother, I love that – so that’s what I love to do the most. I am a motherly dog, I look after my charges. David is the most important thing in my life. I am so glad that we are together, in love, why I am here – to support him, there is nothing else I need.Me: What do you love to eat?
Katie: I love to gnaw on a big bone – it keeps me happy and is good for my teeth. I love to chew, to have something hard between my teeth. My teeth are very good.Me: How do you feel about Frankie?
Katie: I love him – it’s so great to have another dog to live with. I can mother him too. I need to keep him in line sometimes but it’s for his own good. I absolutely adore Frankie, we are such an amazing family.Me: Do you like to go for walks?
Katie: Not long walks because I am a little bit stiff now but I cope. I like to walk on grass. I go slowly but I do love to be outside – sniffing. All dogs love to sniff, to smell, it is very exciting for us. So I may be a bit stiff but I can still appreciate things, I still love life. I am so lucky and so happy.I sensed that Katie was a loving, kindly motherly dog, who is very happy and contented and totally dedicated to her family.

Hello Angela,
Thanks for connecting with Katie! She is a very loving dog, and I’m glad to hear she’s happy and content. She is very motherly–taking care of me especially when I’m feeling low. You’ve done a good job at capturing her personality and purpose.
I’m not sure about a big bone to chew on, but she does like rawhide. She also likes a somewhat bone-shaped greenie-type product. Maybe that’s what you picked up on.
I was surprised to hear that Katie loves Frankie. I have the impression that she doesn’t like sharing my attention. It’s interesting that she says she needs to keep him in line, because she sometimes starts fights with Frankie which sometimes causes damage.
She likes walks, but we don’t go on long ones. I’m a little stiff, too! But they do like sniffing–taking time to smell the roses, as they say. And yes, she likes grass.
Great job on communicating with Katie, thanks!

Katie told me she is fine. Was on her walkies with dad. Shown Katie having an enjoyable time, running around a large open grassed area. In distance can see water by a bay or beach or the edge of a lake. Shown a small red ball. Loves to play fetch and playing in the water
Katie’s ears prick up She either sees or senses something and chases after it. Word ‘rabbit’ pops up. Katie runs back to Dad to sit by his side, forever watching and alert at what is happening around them. (this could be symbolic – poss protection of her dad) They turn and head out of the open space
Katie what do you like or enjoy. Dad, running and freedom it brings, tin food dad gives me, home. Shown a blue and white rope type play toy as she and dad play a game of tug-of-war at which they both are laughing. It’s a tough match as to who is the strongest. Sense Dad and Katie both stubborn but definite a friendly streak in both of them but love each other very much
Katie has a abundant amount of energy ready to play, although at times, even if dad didn’t want to play, Katie’s enthusiasm and positive mood impact is soon won over and bring joy to dad’s life
Sense Katie was a rescue dog type of dog and had some trauma in her early years, although she did not tell me anything about her early life, may do so another time. She is very happy, contented and knows she is safe and may appear ‘clingy’ but believe this to be reassurance and to look after you.
Has an unbreakable bond with dad. Her job is to create happiness. Today She was full of happiness, carefree, having a great time and nothing was going to spoil it
Katie is a gorgeous loving sweet dog full of joy
Session unfortunately interrupted so closed early
Thankyou for allowing me to talk to Katie – such a pleasure

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for communicating with Katie! She likes her walks, and I think the large grassy area might be from 2014-2015 when I lived in a semi-rural area. I’ll try to attach a pic or 2.
As far as the water, a few others mentioned she likes water too. However, I have not taken her to a bay, beach or lake, but she’s been at a creek before. Maybe it was before I adopted her at 5 years old, or maybe she’s idealizing something she’d like to do with me? I’ve been meaning to take Katie & Frankie to the beach (it’s a couple of hours away).
The only red ball I can think of is a large red cat toy that’s a recent addition to the household. I’ll attach a picture. She does like fetch, but she doesn’t do it much anymore in her old age (13).
Katie, like most dogs, has a prey drive. The only time I remember her chasing something was back at the semi-rural place we used to live. I would not allow her to chase rabbits or other animals, because I love all animals (except fleas, ticks and roaches). I can envision her sitting by my side happy and content, but I think it may be symbolic.
I’m glad she mentioned she likes and enjoys me and her home. She used to do a lot of running and she probably remembers the freedom it brings, since she has some mobility issues in her joints. My dogs eat kibble, but sometimes I break out canned food and make a gravy out of it. I remember playing tug with her, but I’m unclear as to whether the rope was blue and white (sorry).
She is an energetic dog but can’t always get as much activity as she wants, partially because I’m busy and partly because of her age. Katie’s enthusiasm and positive mood do bring joy to my life.
Katie is a rescue dog. I adopted her from a couple who had to give her up, so I don’t know if she was ever sheltered. Several people have mentioned a trauma early on. It was brought up in the call this month and in the responses to this post. It was either when she was young or in a past life.
She is very happy, content and I’m glad she knows she’s safe. She is clingy, but I can see how it may be for reassurance and to look after me. We do have an unbreakable bond and she lights up my life. Thank you for connecting with her and sharing the conversation!Attachments:

Hi David and Katie and all Angel family! 🙂
I just want to apologize for not being able to write something on this post, as I am new on this as the buds that show up now in spring. 🙂 Katie has the kind of face and smile that gives off lots of love and kindness, creating a comfortable sensation around her. She is not only beautiful, but I feel that she is a very nice friend to have around, as she gives off wisdom and peace. I hope that one day I would be able to share with both of you the joy of having a conversation, a real conversation!
Wish you all the best, good health and joy! -
