Hi Everyone,
Klaudia has volunteered to host her dog Genie as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). I am sure you will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
Gold members will have an opportunity to connect with Genie when Val works with her on the next call Saturday, June 11. I encourage all of you, both silver and gold members, to connect with Genie now and through the coming month.
Tune into Genie first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from tele meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and pathic that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Genie feel to you? Is she happy? Sad? Excited? etc.Ask Genie ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Have fun!
Many thanks to Klaudia for offering to host Genie as our featured animal teacher for this month. We look forward to Klaudia and Genie sharing feedback, information and stories along our journey.

Hi Klaudia! Happy Birthday to you too!
I got an immediate high paw! Greeting me.
I asked how does it feel to live with lots of kitties?
She said they are entertaining and there is never a dull moment! I see lot of spirits too.
I see her head darting around. She really is cute! Love her little face! Do you groom her? or is she naturally short haired?

Hi Joy,
thanks for your wishes and same to you 🙂That all sounds so much like little Genie. There is definitely not a single dull moment here (though sometimes I would appreciate a bit more quiet peaceful time).
Well, not only her head is darting around. As soon as she hears a noice, even when she is sleeping, her head shoots up and then the rest of the body follows and she runs towards the noice to participate in whatever is going on.Naturally, Genie has poodle curls, medium length and very soft, especially after a bath. When I leave her hair to grow, she is about double as big. I clip her to keep things managable. I don’t have enough time to brush her half an hour every day. On top that is the easiest way to keep her reasonably free of flees and other unwanted guest. We have here hot and humid summers and when the winter was mild on top (like the last one), it is very hard to keep flees, flies, mosquitos and cockroaches under control.
thanks for contacting Genie, she loves the attention

Hi Klaudia,
When Val was talking about her I started laughing because she is quite a character! ( You’re so lucky to have a dog that gets along with cats, let alone so many)
I too saw the kittens playing with her tail as a crinkle ball and her wagging her tail back and forth on the floor to make them crazy. She is so spirited and of course she communicates with most of your kitties, some are more difficult but she does have her favorites. She is very much like a little kid who will go and do something and blame it on one of the cats.
She also is the happiest little thing I’ve encountered in awhile and loves people too. She must make you laugh all the time cuz she’s so happy especially when she tells you stories.
She said ‘come back and play anytime’ yes, she definitely likes to shine and be the star.

Hi Karen,
I find it quite easy to get cats and dogs used to each other. Genie was only 6 weeks old when I brought her home and for the first few months she was with the cats only with me around. Fortunately, I had 2 kittens that had moved in just a few days earlier and another one found us the day after Genie came. So she had 3 kittens her age which I think helped a lot.
You got the game with her tail quite right. She loves to wag it frantically over the floor and when a cat pounces on it she turns round and gets hold of the cat.
Yes, she definitely has favorites, mainly the male of the 2 kittens that had moved in shortly before her. I wish I could post videos here to show you what happens when the cat boy is not really in the mood to play (she is nipping and dragging him by the tail and finally she gets frustrated and takes a toy mouse and starts throwing it in the air and catching it again).
Unfortunately, some of the cats are afraid of her and that might lead to potentially dangerous situations.Well often I have to laugh about her, but there are quite a few situations, where she is driving me absolutely crazy.
Yes,she likes to be the star and she is very jealous, whenever I dare to speak to one of the cats.
thanks a lot for contacting her.

Happy and pesky, that’s what I, too, get from Genie. Great that you are all connecting. How wonderful that Genie connects with the cats. Our animals can often help us sort out issues that the animals and people in the house are having.

Hi Barb, if you mean pesky in the sense of getting on my nerves (that’s what the dictionary gave me), she can be very much of that. She is absolutely hyper and I currently have her under training trying to calm her down a bit. Sometimes she can be very helpful, like stopping a fight between cats. But most of the time she is causing the trouble. It happened for example a couple of times already that I had finally got hold of one of the very shy cats to take her to the vet. Right at the moment when I wanted to stuff her into the transport box, Genie showed up right next or behind me and makes a short “Buff”. The result are 2 bleeding hands and a cat that disappeared into hiding. The vet visit has to be postoned to another day. And Genie thinks that this is all very funny ?!?

Genie is high Prancing, prissy , lady, – she is a fun loving dog, I like to bounce about and jump , I watch the house not aggressive but barking, I hear everything. I love a ball and I can play all day, I get she does not like loud noises , and not a fan of her hair cut

Hi Janet,
thanks for talking to Genie. She was already getting a bit annoyed, because nobody showed up any more to talk to her.
not sure what the word “prissy” means.
Genie definitely loves having fun, though her notion of fun is not necessarily the same I would define it and many times the cats wouldn’t call her actions fun either. Yes, the bouncing and jumping is one of the things we are working on to get it under control.
She barks when unknown cats pass through our garden, when people pass outside our grounds, when some dog in the neighbourhood starts barking, when the garbage collectors come. She is not aggressive. She does show her teeth and she growls a lot, but at the same time her tail is wagging like crazy. So I believe this is one of the things she would call fun.She listens to everything that is going on, even when she sleeps. And at the slightest sound she is up trying to figure out what is happening. Loud noise makes her really go. She will bark frantically and I have problems calming her down. This may be something on which she is mirroring me. I hate noise very much. When some cats start a fight hissing and screaming at each other she will immediately get involved.
Genie loves to play. She steals small balls and toy mice from the cats, throws them up in the air and then catches them with her paws when they come back down. Her favorite game is however tug of war. She has some rope toys, which we use to play. Then she is growling and wagging her tail. Sometimes she is pulling so hard that I am afraid she will lose her teeth. She does not play over long periods at a time, but would like to play again after a couple of minutes.
As for grooming, she likes having her bath and she enjoys when I brush her (as long as there are no tangles), but she is not fond of having her hair clipped (I think she dislikes the noise and the vibration of the clipper) and she absolutely hates a hairdryer. Since I am now grooming her myself, we don’t use a dryer. I have a very good towel that takes most of the moisture out and leaves her nearly dry. Then I let her run a bit outside so the wind can do the rest. In winter, when it’s raining, I will brush her instead of going out. That also dries the fur within a few minutes.

Hi Klaudia!
I just tuned into Genie and asked what she would like to talk about. I immediately got “I love my home and all my kitty friends! Klaudia is a wise soul. I feel joyful all the time.”
Wow! Such a happy doggy! Sounds like she is having a fun life!

Hi Joy,
I guess, I have to thank Genie for her kind words about me 🙂
She is a happy dog and her life is fun, because for her everything is fun. Yes, she loves all cats. Unfortunately, not all cats love her, which sometimes leads to rather dangerous situations, especially, when feral cats are involved. For example when she sees kittens she absolutely loses it. She won’t back off when I call her and she disregards the feral mommy cat’s warnings. Such a situation is always very difficult. So far I always managed to get her out of range on time, but I am afraid that one day I will not succeed. I wish I had more time to train her better and to play and walk with her so that she gets more tired.
Thanks a lot for contacting her. She absolutely loves the attention. -

Hi Klaudia, I just had a short visit with Genie. I introduced myself and expressed to her how wonderful I thought she was. She told me she is Hungry (not in the food sense) for Love and Life; she is very happy yet still can’t get enough 🙂 Ha Ha,,, she is an insatiable Lover of Life. She told me she has a lot on her mind…. her mind is always busy, busy, busy. Her mind, like her body is jumping from place to place. I asked her if she could try to focus her mind more intently on you Klaudia, especially when you are attempting to teach her proper behavior techniques to keep her safe. She said she would try.
She is extremely high spirited (not only in her ‘pouncy’ energy) but actually in her Spirit Self. I sense that as she becomes more able and willing to communicate with you she has incredible insight to share with you. Thank you Klaudia for opening your heart and home to such a darling girl. Pamela FeraresePam, Pammie, Pammie Jean, Pamela.... you can call me any of these names.

Hi Pamela,
sorry for the late response. I saw the message on my cell phone that you posted something, but then forgot about it, because my boss was driving me nuts.I think you felt her being very well. She is always asking for and giving love. She is extremely jealous when I talk to or touch another animal. And yes, she has a problem to focus, especially when we do training. Usually she is doing well for about 5 (max 10) minutes and then her mind is somewhere else again. She is constantly listening to any sound around, her eyes are everywhere.
She won my heart when I first saw her. She was such a sneaky little puppy. I was very reluctant to take her home, because I take care of so many cats and have a full time job that keeps out of the house for around 10 hours every day. So I thought it’s not fair to a dog to have her in the house all day. But she was following me, I had her constantly on my mind and she was calling me telling me she was meant for me and I had to come and pick her up. So after a haunted weekend I gave in and told my colleague I would take her in. And then I had a 6 week old puppy on top of all the other mess in the house. Fortunately I had some young kittens as well so she bonded with the kittens, which showed the older cats that she was OK.
thanks for contacting Genie.
Klaudia
