ModeratorKlaudia has volunteered to host her rescue kitty Sophie as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
Gold and Platinum members will have an opportunity to connect with Sophie along with Val on the next Q&A call Saturday, April 13. We encourage all of you to connect with Sophie now and through out the month.
Tune into Sophie first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Sophie feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc.
Ask Sophie ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Have fun!
Many thanks to Klaudia for offering to host Sophie as our featured animal teacher for this month. We look forward to Alicia and Lucy sharing feedback, information and stories along our journey.

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
Thank you for offering Sophie as an animal teacher. She’s a cutie! I get a sense she’s curious. I also get a sense that she wants to learn. She likes to know what you’re doing.I asked her to tell me about her home life. She said there are other cats (I already knew that though). She also said you rescued her. I remembered you mentioning that before. She sent me a vision of a tree or plant with red flowers. Purple flowers also came to me. She said there’s a window she likes to look out of and that she likes to paw at the window sometimes.
She said she likes to go outside and that there is a gravel road and also water nearby.
She said she likes to eat canned food.
She said she loves to play and climb. She said she likes to climb the drapes, trees, and you! She She sent me an image of her sitting on your shoulder, Klaudia, and she said she also likes to sit up high other places.
I asked Sophie if she has any special toys. She said she does. There is a specific toy for cats she likes and also she likes a certain string of some sort-like a shoe lace or ribbon or something like that.
I asked her about her lounging and sleeping habits. She said she sleeps wherever she wants, but she likes soft places. She said the bed is great and she likes soft blankets, too. “Fire place” came to me. She also likes to be in the sun.
She said there is another cat who she is real buddies with. She said he is an older cat and teaches and guides her.
Sophie is a real sweetie!

Platinum MemberHi everybody,
Sophie is looking forward to meeting lots of new people. The pic in Barb’s post shows her at about 3 months of age. Now she is about 10 months old. Here are some recent pictures. I took them yesterday evening.

Platinum MemberHi Martha,
Yes, Sophie is extremely curious and yes again, she likes so much to know what I am doing that I nearly fell over her last night, because she was lying right behind my feet, when I cleaned the litter boxes.
I think the plants she showed you are the bushes along the back of my yard right opposite the kennel. They have bright right flowers. And the tree must be my almond tree, which was in full bloom until a few days ago.
The window she told you about was my bedroom window. She used to sit there and watch the feral cats outside. And she pawed the window when the other cats came close. Now, she lives in the kennel with the rest of the family and can interact directly with the ferals.
She likes to be in the kennel and only comes in at night for her dinner. From there she sees my driveway. It is actually made of concrete, but because of the juniper hedge along the way and the berries falling off, it looks a bit like gravel. And on the other side of the kennel is a water tap. In fact there is one outside the kennel and a small basin inside. 2 weeks ago, I had to close the water for the basin however, because the monsters had flooded the kennel.
With the food you got something wrong. She doesn’t touch canned food at all. I offer 3 different types every evening (pate and chunks in sauce) and she won’t eat any of them, not even lick the sauce. Ask her again, what she eats for dinner, ok?
She loves high places. As a young kitten she was sitting on my shoulder, but now she is growing too big for that. In the kennel, she likes to sit on the scratch tree, which is about 5 feet high. And sometimes she climbs up onto one of the wooden beams, supporting the upper floor.
The ribbon toy is probably the cat dancer, a thin metal with some small pieces of cardboard attached to the end. That toy is a favourite with most cats, as it simulates insects flying. And you are right there is another cat toy that she likes. Ask her more details about that one.
Yes, she did like to sleep on the bed, but that is finished now. Now she sleeps often on the scratch tree. The platforms are made of wood with a layer of foam and then a strong furniture fabric around to hold it all together. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fireplace, but she enjoys now the first warm sunrays.
The first one she met was Spatz, a shy young male. He taught Sophie how to play with other cats. Now she engages sometimes with Sternchen and Daisy. In general, she likes to be on her own, because she is still a little fearful. When she interacts with other cats, it is usually the younger ones.
I think you got a lot from her and had a clear sense of her personality. Well done 😺

Carol Schuyler (SKY ler)
Inactive MemberHi Klaudia,
Glad and grateful that Sophie is the FAT this month because she looks adorable, and you mentioned to the group that she scratches you (if I remember correctly). The scratching reminded me how my first cat, Persephone, would bloody my arms when I was saying good-bye to go to work. Almost twenty years later, I still (happily) see circles and lines from her claws. When I asked Sophie why she scratches you, I seemed to get this: Because that’s what I do. I want more attention. (Or maybe that’s Persephone’s voice in my head.)
I’m having trouble focusing (well, that’s typical), but Sophie impressed me that she considers herself special to you. Maybe that’s because you had to tell her her mother died after being hit by a car (as you told the group) and you had to pay her more attention when she was younger because her behavior was wild (as a feral’s might be expected to be) or difficult. To me, Sophie seems to have a confident, even cocky, attitude because she knows she is cherished. And that you and she are buddies (even if she is, as you say, “a little fearful” around (some?) other cats. To avoid her mother’s fate, she seems eager to obey you. (Actually, I don’t remember whether you told her about her mother’s death: I was just assuming.)
When I asked her about a favorite food, I had an image of eggs, but that can’t be from her because you wrote that she doesn’t eat canned (= soft?) food.
It will be fun to get to know Sophie this month! Best to you and Blacky.

Platinum MemberHi Carol,
Thanks for connecting with Sophie. I think you got her essence very well. I agree that she seems very confident in general, but fearful in direct encounter with other cats and more so with Pascal, my rescue Beagle, although she is slowly getting better on this. When she first met him, she panicked and I had to peel her off the fence just below the ceiling. By now, she just jumps up to a higher place when she sees him coming. And her confidence is higher, when she is very close to me.
I never tried to offer her eggs, that is an interesting thought. I did not say she won’t eat soft food, just no canned cat (or dog) food. Maybe she is copying me? I am not eating any processed food, only self prepared meals from fresh ingredients.
Her scratching has become a bit less lately. She still goes for my hands, but without using her claws. And she comes more often for a short cuddle. -

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
That’s so cute that she used to sit on your shoulder and pawed the window 🙂 I love her curiosity, and I hope nobody got hurt when she was right behind your feet while you were cleaning the litter boxes.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m reconnecting with Sophie. What I’m getting now is that she doesn’t like the canned food because it’s not tasty. She likes “real protein”-fresh and unprocessed. I got this time that she eats dry food with some kind of protein liquid-broth maybe- or gravy and that you also give her pieces of “real protein”. The kind of protein humans eat.I asked her if she likes her dinner. She said she does and that she loves the meat.
When I asked her about the other toy, I got that it’s a string of some sort or something long that dangles. I asked her again. What I got was that it’s a ball of some sort or has a ball in it and the ball goes around and around.
I asked her how her evening is going. She said she’s very aware of what’s going on and is going to check it out.

Platinum MemberHi Martha
Yes, you got it. Her dinner is baked chicken and she loves it. She also eats dry kibble and drinks the juice that cooks out of the chicken. And she enjoys chasing a small ball. She plays with about everything, but balls and the cat dancer are her favourites.
Nobody got hurt. I am used to having the cats between my feet.

I was happy to get get your previous confirmations, too 🙂I’m also happy to hear your used to cats being under and around your feet while you do things! It’s so lively. I’m happy to hear that nobody was hurt!
As for the other pictures of Sophie that you mentioned, I didn’t see them on here. There must be a technical problem. Anyway, I saw them on Facebook. She was a cute kitten and is a gorgeous kitty!

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
I’m connecting with Sophie as I write this. Before saying anything I had the “hello, how are you? energy” Sophie said, “Yes,” and meowed and purred and I think said, “Hi,” or maybe I said, “Hi”. Anyway, she was very warm and welcoming.I asked Sophie what she’d like to talk about. She said the other cats and that they were crazy last night. I asked her how they were crazy. She said there was lots of commotion and a spat over territory. Someone got into someone’s space or general territory. It was all worked out though. She said she stayed out of it. She said it was between two of the male cats. She said the dog was also up to something-she sent an image of a dog (beagle maybe) digging.
She likes the dog and thinks the dog smells interesting.
She loves her tail and markings. She says you tell her how pretty she is and that you comment on her eyes. I picked up something about, “emeralds,” regarding her eyes.
She showed me around where she lives. She showed me a room with walls and a reclining chair. I’m picking up that there’s a TV in it. She showed me also a bedroom with a bed with a white blanket and a wooden dresser. She said something about “rain”.
She said she loves to play with butterflies and birds, but when it comes to the birds it’s not playing so much as it is watching them. She also enjoys smelling flowers.
Sophie is done talking at the moment and told me to have a nice day. I wished her the same even though I know there’s a time difference. She said it’s not really day there now. Then I said for her to have a nice weekend. She and I will talk again.

Inactive MemberHello Klaudia,
I’m glad you have referred to this kitty as Miss Sophie. In the animal welfare group I belonged to in Amherst, Massachusetts, we often used “Miss” or “Mr.” for a named cat or dog as a sign of additional respect.
I smile when I think of Miss Sophie (partly remembering the above group?). She seems an adolescent coming into her own, aware of her beauty; her social skills in relating to other animals; her physical agility when evading some, e.g., Pascal; her understanding of what she observes you doing and ability to make predictions about your and others’ actions; and now, as FAT, the attention she is receiving from humans other than you. She’s quite a poised miss.
I asked her some questions:
C: When you paw at a window, are the birds close enough to respond to you, e.g., by looking at you or flying away?
S: Yes, sometimes. There’s not a tree really close.C: Are any of your littermates still living with you? S: No. I don’t know where they are.
C: Do you eat fish? S: Sometimes. C: Vegetables? S: No. I don’t think so. C: What is your favorite food? S: Chicken. (This answer came during the week; today, I read that you give her baked chicken.)
C: What is your favorite color? S: Red. Like my ball. C: Do other cats play with your ball? S: Yes, but it’s mine. C: Why is it yours? S: She gave it to me.
C: What do you dream about? S: Walking outside following a bird. Walking through tall green grass.
C: What color is the fabric on the levels inside the kennel? (I’m resisting beige because that’s the color of the carpeting in our five-story cat tower.) S: Green but not bright like outside.
C: Do you like belly rubs? S: No. I grab her hand. C: Being brushed? S: Yes. My tail. C: Being kissed? S: Yes. I’m happy here.
I thanked Miss Sophie for her attention and apologized for not being focused enough. She leaned against the wire and let me kiss her on her head. Maybe we’ll take a walk through tall grass next week or make fallen juniper and almond blossoms fly.

Inactive MemberTuning in to Sophie I feel that she anticipates running off, depending on my approach. But mostly feels very receptive and very interested in what I am going to do. I get a feeling of duality within her, like she has very different aspects of her personality that show at different times, like playful and wanting to run around with other cats, but also sometimes, a little on the outside of things, and a little apprehensive. She is very grateful and happy, though a little closed in at times, liking to feel free and spacious. she feels fairly safe and is always wanting to feel safe and at home, but at times she is a little unsure, sorta back and forth. does she have a tendency to bite (not hard) if approached too quickly? She really wants to express affection and to feel safe and secure. She likes wet food? Sometimes she is fearful of other cats and needs to feel safe at eating times. She wants to play, this is her highlight. She gives lots of space to other cats. She is considerate of other cats. She does not rush in to eat. She avoids drama that other cats get into. she does run off at times from too much action and is skittish. She likes treats and when other cats have scattered she is receptive to attention, slowly pursued. I see her playing with a slipper. I hear a raspy quiet meow. I hear her say she wants more space. She sometimes wants to escape but she would want to stay extremely close (right outside enclosure) and come back. She goes high rather than low. She likes to hang out above. She has a red string toy of some sort. I ask about her toy and I see the red string with a loop on one end and shorter tassles coming out of a ball on the other end. I also see green when I am thinking about toys. I see her running after a ball with bell. I ask about other toys she likes and I saw her place a weird furry object that looked like a cat foot/paw or a rabbits foot. Wierd I know and then I saw an image of a rubber chicken. At this point I just took a pause as my mind was wandering! I then heard “my hips would love reiki and so would my chest.” I see/feel her so safe and playful within the energy. She is pawing at it and bending the lines of energy (fuscia pink w thin green line and silver). she feels safe here in the web of light/web of protection. I see her basking in the energy looking like a male lion roaring and purring and tossing her mane around. At the end, I see her reflection in a mirror. I felt her say that she likes to be with kitties like herself (her age maybe) and that she likes hanging out with herself.

Platinum MemberHi Martha
I had to laugh reading about the fight. Around this time of the year I always have some issues with male behaviour although they’re all neutered. What Sophie told you about was Felix complaining to Purzel, who wanted to share the food. The bowls are fairly big and it should not be a problem for 2-3 cats to share one bowl. But the point here is that Purzel is a very calm boy contrary to Felix. So Felix likes to pick on him to demonstrate dominance (although he is in reality rather fearful). And when cats get into a fight, Pascal gets immediately interested in the action, knowing that soon the cats will start running and chasing each other and then he takes up chase as well.
Interesting that Sophie told you the dog smells interesting. In fact she does smell Pascal (approaching him from behind or above) quite often. But when he turns round she runs.
I do tell her every day how beautiful she is, though I have not used the word emeralds to describe her eyes. (I am not very good on precious stones and are never sure which stone has which color).
The room with walls and reclining chair is the 1st floor of the kennel. The kennel is built against the house and has therefore 2 sold walls. The other 2 sides are sort of a metal fence, but because I extended it some years ago, we used some leftover tin sheets to fill in the gap, which makes even those 2 sides look a bit more solid on the upper floor. There is no TV in the kennel, but the cables from my satellite dishes run through there.
As for the white blanket on the bed, Sophie probably referred to the covers I used while Blacky was in the room to recover from the 2 surgeries she had over the last few months. I used puppy training mats to keep the bed half way free of blood. And yes, there is a wooden dresser right next to the bed.
I have no idea what she was talking about when she mentioned rain. Can you ask her to explain this?
Sophie likes to chase butterflies and moths and she likes to sit on the first floor of the kennel watching birds in the trees. On the first floor she is about on level with the crown of the trees.
There are not many flowers close to the kennel, but some have a strong smell, like the almond tree. And at present some high weeds with pretty pink flowers are growing into the kennel.
You are really doing a great job.

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m connecting with Sophie while I write this. I asked her how she is. She said “Grrreat!” like Tony the Tiger. I don’t know if you’re familiar or not with Tony the Tiger. Tony the Tiger is connected to a cereal called Frosted Flakes. I think it’s Frosted Flakes. He says, “They’re Grrreat!”I asked Sophie what she’s up to. She said she’s not up to much, “just chillin'”. She said it’s pretty calm there right now.
I asked her about the rain. She said she doesn’t enjoy being in the rain, but she likes to smell the rain, see the rain, and hear the rain. She said she likes to drink clean rain water after it rains. She also sent me a picture of her pawing at a puddle of water. She said she also likes the taste of rain water when it’s clean. She also likes the rain because they’re what help the trees and flowers to grow.
I asked Sophie if she goes outside much or if she goes in the house much. She said sometimes she goes outside and sometimes she goes inside the house, but she doesn’t go inside the house much. She said she spends a lot of time in the kennel and that’s her house, but she goes pretty much wherever she wants whenever she wants.
She said when she was younger she liked to play with your hair.
She also said she tries to comfort Blacky and send her good energy. There was something else that came to me but I forgot what it was (unless it was about the rain helping the trees and flowers to grow). There were other things that came to me, but I don’t remember what they were, nor do I know if they were from her.
She also said that sometimes she gets rambunctious, but not as much as when she was a baby. Sophie also said that when she was a baby you help her like a human baby and that you carried her around with you sometimes.
Also, during the call, I got that Sophie knew you were coming for her. She said she loves life with you and loves you!
I told Sophie that I’m going to go but I’ll be back to talk to her another time. She likes that 🙂 She just purred, smiled, head butted me, and gave me a kiss. I just smiled at her, hugged her, petted her, and gave her a kiss and told her to have a beautiful night 🙂 She wished me the same 🙂

Platinum MemberCarol, you picked up quite a lot from Sophie. Yes, she is growing up and improves in many aspects. Her physical ability is at a peak level right now and her social skills are improving rapidly. She seems to love the attention she gets as FAT.
She used to paw at the window, which did not bother the birds very much. But now she climbs up the fence, when she sees birds and the motion gets some of the birds on alert. No tree is close enough for the cats to touch and possibly get hold of a bird. They are in a range of 3-10 feet from the kennel.
Her litter mates are probably dead. I have no idea how she got to the spot where I found her. This is for sure not a place, where a mommy cat would leave a kitten. Either someone dumped her or she went on a walkabout.
She loves her chicken dinner. And she has a medium size pure red ball (actually a dog toy) and a small red ball with stripes around the middle. When other cats are playing with a ball she tries to take it away from them.
For the time being her dream will remain a dream. Maybe when I retire in 2 years she can go out on a leash.
Carol, don’t resist what comes up. Beige would describe pretty well the first floor with a wooden floor and a couple of wooden boxes where cats can find some privacy. I can’t think of anything green around the kennel.
She grabs my hand when I rub her belly, but also when I touch her elsewhere. In the meantime however, she does not scratch so badly anymore. Occasionally she likes to be brushed, but most of the time she does not like any activity that requires her to stand still.
I think, if you make blossoms fly around her she will have a lot of fun chasing them.

Platinum MemberHi Angela,
Sophie is very curious and always wants to know what is going on. But sudden movements or someone approaching her too fast, still scare her.
What you write about her duality is quite spot-on. I think this is the expression of her growing up and also of slowly getting used to living in a community with a lot of other cats and having 2 dogs around all the time.
When she was very young she did not like being touched and handled and used to bite and scratch quite badly. In the meantime she has learnt that cuddles aren’t that bad after all.
She loves chicken, but does not touch commercial wet cat food. She usually gets her food in a more quiet corner. She won’t compete with others for the food. So she has to get her own small dish or she wouldn’t eat.
While the other cats make a lot of fuss until I finally bring in their food, Sophie waits patiently until I call her.She used to play with my slippers at night while I was asleep and every morning I had to go first searching where she had hidden them. Since she joined the gang in the kennel, this is not an issue any more.
She loves sitting high and watching what is going on.
As for the toys, there used to be a couple of string toys, but Pascal destroyed them all. The same goes for a small ball with a bell inside. There is a braided frog, which is green. The weird looking furry object was most likely one of the plush toys. There are a couple of rubber toys around, mainly balls and kong toys, though no chicken.
I understand her request for reiki for her chest. She tends to get colds easily and until a few weeks ago she has been coughing a lot. I am not aware of a problem with her hips. Can you investigate a bit more, if she has any issues?
When she interacts with other cats, it is usually with the younger ones. She does not get in touch with older cats. Very often she seeks a quiet spot and just watches without getting involved.

Inactive MemberHi Klaudia, thanks for the feedback. Yes I will ask her soon about the hips. Here is my conversation from this mornings call: I got the number 5 (500 5000 …) in regards to past lives/past lives with you. I asked her how her body felt and I saw her quickly bring her back legs forward and front legs up, kind of scrunched together forward, almost looked playful actually. I felt she was showing me her lower abdomen/sacral area. I also felt a sudden wave of energy in my right shoulder and neck. I will ask about this later. I saw a beautiful blue layer in her energy. Otherwise, like yesterday when I did Reiki with her, I saw mostly Fuchsia with gold and silver. And once again she was playing with moving this energy around with her paws! I loved hearing confirmation on this during the call that others see the healer in her. WOW! She felt calm and happy to connect with everyone today.

Platinum MemberHi Martha,
It seems you and Sophie are big friends by now 🙂
What you got about the rain resonates with me. Unlike many other cats, she seems not scared when the rain makes a lot of noise on the tin roof of the kennel. I doubt however that she is able to find enough rain water to drink. The rain comes into the kennel (depending from which side it comes), but it just wets the floor and produces a muddy mess with the litter they have scratched out of the boxes. It does not form puddles. Maybe she showed you the water bowls. Many of the cats like to wash their paws in the water. It is difficult to say, if she comforts Blacky. I don’t recall seeing her close to Blacky, but that does not neccessarily mean that she doesn’t send healing energy. I will have an eye on that.
She spends most of the time in the kennel. She seems to like the outdoor smells and the feeling of wind.
She is quite rambunctious quite often. But it is correct that she slowly calms down a little bit.
I am sure she is happy when you come to talk to her. She seems to enjoy the attention. And somehow this seems to boost her confidence. She is also asking more often for cuddles now than she did before. Yesterday evening she was all over me purring like crazy.

Platinum MemberHi Angela,
I am fascinated by your findings about her energy and how she plays with energy fields.
Can you try to find out, if she spent any past life with me during my life in the present body? And if so, in what body was she then? Or did we spent lives together in the distant past with both of us in different bodies?
Yes, she loves to have all those people coming to her. I offered her before the call to join me in the bedroom so she could better focus without being distracted by all the other animals around her, but she ran back to the kennel and told me she can handle this on her own.
Thanks for all your insights.

Thank you for offering to help shepherd the conversation with Sophie for us!I connected with her for the first time as I was listening to Saturday’s class that I had missed being in pers. I agree with everyone that she has “gone around the block” sort of speak…
Though, for this life, she hasn’t yet figured out what this life’s plan is for her as a cat, it seems. When I tapped into her, she told me that she doesn’t know her job is, or rather, she hasn’t figured that out yet. It is not that she cannot figure that out herself, she is totally capable of doing that. She is simply keeping it open. She is being curious.
For some reasons, she prompted me to connect with sense of wonder. I do that with all other animals but she was sending this open hearted energy that made my heart open up even more. I asked her to tell me about herself, but she turned around and she was very curious about who I am. So I told her that my name is Chigusa. She said, that’s an interesting name that I haven’t heard from others connecting. So I told her that I’m from a country called Japan. She didn’t get the concept of country so we discussed it is sort of simliar to pride of cat. Each pride has their own culture and territory. I also told her that we speak different languages and sometimes we don’t communicate very well to each other because of that. She laughed that if we spoke the “heart language” then we don’t need different languages. Indeed, I said.I told her that I don’t have that much time this morning to talk and I’ll be back to talk to her again because I need to get ready to go to work. She was curious what “work” is… I told her it is like going on a hunt for humans. It is because without working, we cannot eat. But in a way, we have to go hunt even if we are not hungry because we have to do this every day. It is also expected. She didn’t get that but she said “fine, go on” with loving tone.
I got one message for you, Klaudia, that was that she wants to know what you want from her. She seems genuinely open to what you have to say because she seems to have come explorer cat’s life this time around. Very eager to learn about it as well as human life. I suggest you explain what you are doing and what humans might be doing around her so she can learn more.
I’ll talk to you and Sophie soon later!

Platinum MemberHI Klaudia,
Firstly I hope you and Blacky are doing as well as possible.
I also got a lot gold rays from Sophie and that she was an old soul with much experience – very proud of her coat and her beauty. I also got the impression that Sophie had spent many, many lives with you – she had to chase you to find you in this one (I’m not sure what that means really – it was like having to follow and grab on to a bicycle wheel. She then said that her role with you in this life is to support you in your mission and she will be like “a powder puff” to your soul – I think that means she will offer you gentle touches and comfort when life is rough.
I didn’t get any more specific responses to specific questions other than that. -

Platinum MemberHi Chigusa
So Sophie turned everything round and was interviewing you. I love that. And I love that you gave her some real good answers. I will try to explain the work concept to her once again. Something like I work and get in exchange money, which I the carry to the shop to change it against her chicken and kibbles.
I will think of a job for her. Maybe something like balancing the energies in the cat and dog community. Can you ask her, if she would like that?
Yes, she is very eager to learn and to help. Last week I told her that the mosquitos really bother me and I would love, if she can catch and eat as many of them as possible. Now she is a keen mosquito hunter.

Platinum MemberHi Rosemary
Thanks for talking to Sophie.
Blacky and I are doing well.Yes, she takes good care of her coat. Even her tail is always clean, although it is so long and bushy that she could use it as a broom to clean the floor. But she always lifts it high enough that it doesn’t touch the floor.
Do you have an impression, if she was with me before during my present lifetime? In what body?
She is usually very close to me and watches me closely. And lately she is getting much more careful with her claws. As a young kitten she was not so much interested in cuddles, but now she starts asking for it.
As for her having to chase me, I am not sure either. Maybe she had to figure out the right place and time for me to find her. As I said on the call, I found her in a spot, where you would not expect to find a kitten, an open field without any shelter and at 3 am, when I was walking the dogs.
If you find the time, try asking her more specifically what she meant, ok?

Inactive MemberHi Klaudia:
I tuned into your Sophie today to see what I could get. I did not want to read what others may have gotten so that my communication would not be influenced. When I first tuned in I asked if she would talk with me and she said she was busy playing with a ball but would exchange a little conversation with me. She says she is very happy in her home now and that she’s been with you for about a year. She says she was out on the street. I’m not sure what that means. Then she tells me that she is very patient. And that she “waits” for you. I don’t know what that means but she continues to say that you need her patience because you are very distracted. Again, she insists she is very happy in her home and she definitely likes to play.Sophie finished up by telling me that I need more patience with my projects. And indeed, she is right!
Many thanks for letting us connect with her. And I look forward to your response.
Blessings,

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth
Thanks for connecting with Sophie. She loves chasing balls. I found her in August last year, when I was walking the dogs. She was about 6-8 weeks old and all alone in an open field without any shelter or hiding place.
Waiting for me could mean that she is looking forward to me coming back from work. I am out all day, leaving at 8:30 am and coming back around 7pm.
Distracted possibly is her way of telling that I don’t have a lot of time for her or the other animals. I am taking care of around 50 rescue cats and 2 dogs in a kennel attached to my house. And additionally I am feeding a feral community of 20-30 cats (the number depends on the season). So when I get home at night, I have to feed them and then clean 15 double sized litter boxes. In the end I don’t get a lot of sleep and tend to doze off while I prepare their food, which often delays their meals.
Sophie is a happy young cat and very playful. She plays with everything she finds.
Hugs

Thank you so much for the quick response. Yes, it all makes sense now and I think I got an accurate reading from Sophie. I now understand completely what she was saying. So she does wait for you because you are the caretaker and nurturer of so many. God bless you for your service to others and the care you give to all those animals. Sophie is patient and waits for you to get round to her. That’s exactly what she is saying.
If you will forgive me for being so bold – you take care of so many perhaps you are neglecting your own care which is why you are so exhausted at night. Is there no one to help you? I would wish that you can find someone to assist you in caring for all these animals so you do not burn yourself out. If I were close by I would help you. That is a great burden day in and day out.
Many blessings to you, Klaudia. My wish for you is assistance in your work for others.

Inactive MemberHi Klaudia, When I checked in with Sophie she was rolling on the ground and playing with a small feathered toy. There was another small grey cat who was nearby wstching her. Sophie then told me that she is getting lots of attention lately and it is making her feel very special. She has a lot to say about how she thinks that many of us forgot about how to “play”.
She suggested that we find more joy in our days and that there is a rainbow which exists for one and for all. I thanked her for sharing this message. Then she said she had to go play now and asked me to decide if I was in or out. I played with her for a few minutes with a toy on a stick and then she tired out and then told me it was time for her to nap but that didn’t mean I should stop playing. The greyish cat nearby just watched with big wide eyes but did not want to play or talk with anyone yet I felt like he was enjoying himself. My connection with Sophie and the other cat left me feeling warm inside and made me smile. -

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth
Thank you so much for your nice wish. Unfortunately, Cyprus is not a country that loves animals. So, I am happy enough already that the neighbours leave the feral and stray animals in our area alone.
Don’t worry. I will make it to retirement in 2 years and then I have sufficient time for the animals. However, I will have to find a source of income by then, by then, because my pension is not even going to cover the cost of animal food and litter. For the time being, I just trust something will show up.
And you are right, Sophie is very patient. She is the only one who waits until I call her for dinner. I think I have to record one day the choir of hungry cats and dogs and post it on Facebook for the a/c group to have some fun. 😸

Thanks for playing with Sophie. I am sure she enjoyed that. She does not have a feathered toy, but sometimes the wind blows a feather into the kennel.
I wonder which of the grey cats was watching her. Can you describe the other cat? Was he/she plain grey, grey/white, tabby? Slim or more chubby? Short or longer, fluffy hair?
Yes, Sophie has this ability to make people smile. When I come home tired from work, she jumps around me and shows some funny looking poses and within 1 or 2 minutes my mood has improved.

Inactive MemberThank You Klaudia,
I read some of the wonderful communications last night before going to bed and this morning during my meditation Sophie jumped in! I guess I had her on my mind!😊
I said I can’t remember your body’s name at the moment but do you want to look into why some of the other cats and Pascal make you feel a little timid? Yes!
So we went back in time to another life where she was a prey animal, a timid little mouse pretty much terrified of everything living in a dark forest. Then the most amazing thing happened. A little bottle appeared. I said sniff a little of this valor and she did and in our imaginations she became big, strong and unafraid, huge in spirit and curious about others. (The curiosity which she retains today in the physical). I said let’s try to remember this experience when we return.
So we came most of the way back and I now knew her physical name was Sophie! We were surrounded by golden light and I asked if she wanted a healing and she did and my healing guides appeared and we were surrounded by a feeling of deep security and safety. She told us how grateful she is that she lives with an exceptional human being who has a large loving heart and her physical name is Klaudia. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ -

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia!
Thanks for your recent feedback. I’m glad Sophie is enjoying connecting with the people from our group. I’m also happy to hear that her confidence level is increasing!I’m connecting with Sophie as I write this. I greeted Sophie and asked her how she is. She’s good. She said that she’s sitting on the kitty furniture that she’s on in her picture (the picture where she’s bigger-not the one where she’s a little kitten). That was a little before 6:16 am PST. She said she likes to sit there.
I asked Sophie what she did today. She said she didn’t do much. She said she had a relatively quiet day today. She sent me a visual of her walking around outside and of her lounging where she was stretched out. She said “in the sun”-referring to being stretched out while lying in the sun. She said she napped a little while in the sun. She said she loves to feel the warmth from the sun throughout her body.
She said she saw a squirrel and could smell the squirrel. She said she likes to smell other animals (squirrels, birds, etc.) “Deer” and “fox” came to me, but I’m not sure if they were from Sophie.
I asked Sophie is she could tell me about the weather right now. She said it’s cooled off because it’s later in the day and that the weather is pleasant though during the day these days. She said it’s a bit humid but not a lot and it will get more humid later on. She said it rains a lot at a certain time of year there.
She also said that part of why, the main reason why, she hasn’t become real close to the other cats is because they see her as a bit of an outsider and haven’t been real welcoming to her. She said in time it will all sort out and improve if it’s meant to. She said if it doesn’t, it’s okay as long as she gets lots of love from you and nobody becomes mean. She said though that even if someone became mean she can handle herself because she’s confident and strong.
She said she wants to play now and that she’ll talk to me later. I told her “okay” and to have a good time playing and come to me whenever she wants and that if I’m aware and able to talk I will and I’d love to. She smiled and I smiled. She head butted me and purred and I petted her and kissed her and sent her warm, loving energy.

–She likes her name. It’s a name to grow into, i.e., into becoming wise.
–The kennel is about the size of the kitchen. The kitchen is larger, but the kennel has levels.
–There is a passage between the kitchen and the kennel.
–The kitchen is yellow. The cabinets are wood painted white. No vimage from her, no imagination from me about the floor and counters.)
–The cats can wander through most of the house at night.May you be richly rewarded, Klaudia, for all the good you’re doing!

That description fits only one cat: Chief. She is a very quiet cat who always keeps a low profile. By the way her name has nothing to do with being bossy. When I found her, she had an identical twin sister. Together they were always up to something. So I called her sister Miss and her Chief. But then her sister died and only Chief was left. -

Thank you so much for all the healing you did with Sophie. When I came home late this afternoon, I went quickly into the kennel to clean the litter boxes before our masterclass. As always, Sophie was close watching me. Then Pascal came towards us and for the first time ever, she stayed calm. She remained right where she was and did not run to jump up somewhere higher.
Of all the cats around here, she stayed the shortest time with me, but still I feel very much connected to her, more than with most of the others.

Platinum MemberHi Martha,
It is very possible she was sitting on the scratch tree at the time you give. This was 4:16 PM here and at that time most of the animals are napping.
She likes on this furniture and like all the other as well, she loves to catch the first warm sun rays of the year.I was not home all day, but I am sure she didn’t see squirrels, deers or foxes, simply because there aren’t any of those in Cyprus. The “wildlife” here in Cyprus is limited to some migrating birds in winter, salamanders and chameleons, a few snakes, mice, rats and cockroaches and not to forget, thousands of flies and mosquitoes. In a nature reserve on the west coast of the island there is a handful of eagles left and very few wild mountain goats. Probably she saw one of the 3 feral kittens running around the house.
She is right, the weather is slowly getting nice. Over winter we have rain, but whatever comes down has to last until next winter. As from next month, we will probably not see any more rain until late October or November. If there is not enough rain in the winter months, we have a severe problem in summer. About 10 years ago we had a very dry winter and as a result all dams were low and the water lines were only opened every 3rd day.
I am sure she will make friends as her confidence grows and she stops hitting every cat on the head who comes to sniff her 😺.

Platinum MemberHi Carol,
Glad to hear that Sophie likes her name.
Correct, the kitchen is slightly bigger than the kennel, but all together the kennel has more floor space, because it has 2 levels.
The kitchen cupboards are white. The walls are painted in a very light grey with a bluish hue. The rest of the house has light yellow walls.
There is a doggie door between the kennel and the utility room and 2 windows that are usually open. So cats and dogs can easily go in and out. Utility room and kitchen used to be one big room, but lately the cats have destroyed so many things in my kitchen and made such a horrible mess that I couldn’t take any more and installed a door between kitchen and utility room and closed off the remaining opening with a wooden fence (it used to be a window and the utility room used to be an open veranda, which the previous owners had made into a room). Now the rest of the house is closed to the cats. They have only kennel and utility room, but this is very new (maybe 3 weeks now). Before I closed the kitchen they often opened the kitchen door into the remaining house and I found 20 cats sleeping on my bed. The other rooms were always closed, because there are other cats who cannot live in the big community (2 blind cats and one walking impaired in the living room and unsocial Kitty in the guest room).

Inactive MemberHello Klaudia and animals. I connected with Sophie three different days and asked about the past lives question. side note: i find past life stories to be sometimes metaphor more than definitive answers, regardless of intensity or clarity, just my sometimes view on things. From 4/18: 5 years ago sophie as cat. I saw images of red and a trampoline. I got “no yes sort of” when I asked whether you (Klaudia, this lifetime for you) were her guardian in one of her past lives before she was Sophie. Next, I received a strong messages regarding your Grandmother or a mother of yours, like your grandmother had a cat that you spent time with as a child? I also saw feet, felt like a mans. I saw an image of a rose and then a fox. Sophie says she helps people to feel peaceful balance in struggle. I saw an image of a feather on a pendant in a treasure chest. I heard the words “independence, the weight of freedom, light in the weight of it all.” I tuned in with Sophie again the next day and got some random info from the present and also the past possibly: i saw an image of a wolf in the wild. I heard “skippy Micky, I am Mickey’s friend.” I saw an image of an animal with big ears, like a pet rabbit or wild hare. Did you have a pet rabbit at one time? I got more flashes of Red, like the day before when I connected with Sophie. I also saw an image of a mouse. I then heard the words “brainiac” and “muscles of a __ ?” (can’t read my writing ha). I tuned in with Sophie again yesterday: I got an image of a bunny again, as a past life image. I heard “safety.” I got that Sophie is ready to play now because she was more of an animal mother in past lives. I heard “pecans.” I saw an image of her getting her belly caught/scratched on a barbed wire fence she was climbing over. I offered healing. I got the word “Russian.” I saw a woman wearing some sort of head garment/cloth wrapped around, the particular style or culture was not clear.

Platinum MemberHi Angela
Some of your images are very interesting. My mother had a lot of cats she cared for. One of those was a wonderful soul. She had a very close bond with the whole family. I found her in the attic above our sauna house, where she had given birth to a litter of kittens. And my mother started feeding her right away.
As a student in my early twenties I had a pet rabbit. She had a cage to sleep in, but the door was always open and she was free to hop around. The first holidays after I got her, I left her with a friend, who had many rabbits. When I came back, she was pregnant and short after gave birth to a bunch of cute little baby bunnies.
Barbara Grout also saw her as a mouse in a past life.
The other images don’t trigger any memories right now. Maybe those were past lives without me or in my past as well.

Platinum MemberHi Claudia, Sophie has a sweet energy. I asked her if she is a healer and she said that all cats are healers. She said that she is good at counseling and tuning in to the energy of those around her. I sensed her caution with the other cats and that she gets overwhelmed in a crowd and runs for cover. She said that you are helping her with her confidence with the other cats. She knows she has to face her fears eventually but is not ready yet. She is very secure with you and grateful for having a great home. I thanked her for her time and asked if we could speak again and she said yes.

Platinum MemberHi Alicia
I think Sophie is right that all cats are healers. Yes, she is great with energy work and I hope that over time she will accept the role of balancing the different energies in the kennel and keeping the family at peace.
Sometimes, I offer her a break from the big group and take her with me, but she is obviously determined to face her insecurity, because she never accepts my offer, she always wants to go back to the kennel.
Lately, she gained more confidence. When I am close she rarely runs for a safer place. Last night she even stayed next to me when Pascal came down the stairs. And then she followed him and stayed when he looked at her. I think being the FAT and talking to a lot of people gave her a real boost in confidence.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe it was a feral kitten she saw. Haha.I’m connecting with Sophie as I write this. I asked her about her week since we last talked. I got something about splashing. I also got an image of something falling. It also seemed like she said you fell.
I asked Sophie what is new. She sent me an image of your beagle digging. I also got “chicken”.
I’m a bit worried and anxious right now and Sophie helped to calm me. She also suggested that since I am having a bit of difficulty focusing to connect where I get details about her day and what not, she suggested I come back later. I’ll be back later. I thanked Sophie for her help and told her I love her.

Platinum MemberHi Martha
The only thing that comes to my mind in connection with splashing is that quite a few of the little monsters use the drinking bowls for washing their paws or playing in the water.
Fortunately, I did not fall. Maybe she watched me on Wednesday, when I tried to rip out some very high and strong weeds. I got hold of the stem and leaned back. When the roots finally came up, I stumbled backwards. I was not far away from the ground, but I didn’t touch 😀.
Pascal is a master when it comes to digging big holes. But since I realized that he hunts for cats, I don’t let him out on his own any more. That was 6 months before Sophie came to us. Maybe Pascal told her about the tries to dig out my juniper hedge and the almond tree.
What about chicken? Was she hungry and waiting for her dinner? Or did she see the neighbour’s chicken running around?
Are you dealing with any problem that worries you? Anything I can help with? Glad, Sophie could already calm you. Anyway, I am surrounding you with bright healing light to make you feel more comfortable.

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
Thanks for the feedback.
That’s so cute that the cats use the water to wash their paws and play in it! Animals can be so creative with play 🙂In regards to what she said about falling, maybe she was referring to you almost falling. I’m not sure if she was telling me that because it was something new or if it was because maybe she found it funny. That’s something a human might find funny (as long as nobody was hurt), so maybe she did, too!
Ah! I wouldn’t be surprised if Sophie was telling me about Pascal digging if he told her about his attempts to dig up your hedge and tree. Pascal probably had a great time doing that and told Sophie about it! I’m sure Pascal didn’t realize that digging up the tree and hedge weren’t good for them.
As for the chicken, I’m not clear on this. I got different things. I got that it was because she was hungry and waiting for her dinner. I got also got that it was both and that she had seen the chicken earlier that day and that she was asking if chicken like what she eats comes from chickens like the ones she sees. I answered her just now and said though that I don’t know how things are done in Cyprus but that I was guessing (hoping) the chicken she saw won’t be used for meat. I told her that in the U.S. people don’t have chickens as pets (which I’m hoping the one she sees is) and then slaughter them for meat. When I wrote this part, we had just been talking about this.
When I was talking to Sophie a few minutes ago and asking her things trying to help myself and asking her something involving my cats, she was helpful. She made me smile and laugh inside!
I told Sophie I’d be back another time to talk. I petted her on the head. She sent me purring, love, and warmth. I sent her love and warmth. She sent me an indication she had received it.
Thank you for offering to help me and for surrounding me with bright healing light to make me feel more comfortable. As for my anxiety and worrying (and feeling a bit down at times), it’s a combination of things. I’m not sure if you could help or not.

–Sophie has not yet had a nail trim.
–Sophie enjoyed a light spray of cool water in the kennel this week.

Platinum MemberHi Martha
Yeah, they have fun splashing in the water bowls, but the water is always dirty and I can’t constantly clean the bowls and renew the water. So most of the time they have to drink from bowls that have sand at the bottom and twigs, leaves and bugs swimming around.
I guess she found me stumbling around funny, I would have laughed, if I could have seen myself.
Sorry to disappoint you, but people in Cyprus are not big pet lovers in general. Things are changing slowly, but even pets are kept outside of the house and only few people have a dog, and even fewer a cat, inside of their house. As for the chicken, they are raised for meat. The neighbours treat them well and when they are ready, they kill them fast.
Concerning helping you, in many cases it already helps, if you have someone to listen, or read, and feel with you. So, if you want to PM me that is fine. If you want to keep your worries private that is fine as well.
Lots of love to you and your cats

Platinum MemberHi Klaudia,
That’s adorable that your cats enjoy splashing in the water bowls! From when we spoke one time I remember you saying that animals are not highly regarded and not many people have pets. So, I am not surprised the chicken in your neighbor’s yard will be killed and eaten. At least, the chicken is being treated well until then and will be killed fast.
As for helping me, sometimes it does help to talk about one’s problems/feelings. Thank you for offering for me to write you privately.
I’m going to see if Sophie is interested in connecting now and if she is I’ll post:
I’m connecting with Sophie as I write this. I said, “Hello,” to Sophie and right away she came up and rubbed me. She was happy to connect with me 🙂I asked her what’s new. She said not much…same typical stuff with the cats and the dog stuff. She did say though you got something new. She said she’s also becoming more comfortable with the other animals. She said, “Martha, let me tell you, it’s nice.” That was in regards to feeling more comfortable with the other animals. She said she’s not so afraid of them and more tolerant of them and that that changes how they are towards her for the better.
One of my cats wanted something and I played with them a little and did some things and then came back to Sophie. I apologized if I was rude since I did that. She said it was but she understood. I thanked her and told her she’s very understanding. She said she is and that nobody is perfect.
I also got that Sophie sees spirits and they glow. I also got that she is an angel.
I also got, “Happiness,” and “Forgiveness’. She was saying this for me because it’s important for me. She also said earlier you’re kind, patient, caring, and a good listener.
I told Sophie I love her and said, “Let’s talk again.” I petted her head and stroked her chin. She purred 🙂

Platinum MemberHi Carol
I copy your post below. That makes it easier to answer.
–Sophie eats and drinks from metal bowls.
Yes, I have big metal bowls for the chicken and water and for the dry kibbles. Additionally, I use a couple of plastic plates for the wet food.
–She has her own food bowl.
Yes she has a small clay dish for her chicken.
–She typically eats with you in the kitchen. (I think I read this in a previous post.)
I used to feed them in the kitchen before I closed it off. Now they eat on the upper floor of the kennel and some eat in the utility room. Sophie eats in the utility room. But she insists that I stay with her until she has finished.
–Sophie has not yet had a nail trim.
True. I tried when she was younger, but she won’t have it.
–Sophie enjoyed a light spray of cool water in the kennel this week.
She didn’t want to step aside when I tried to refill the water bowls. So I just poured and she got a bit wet.
–I did not receive an answer when I asked Sophie how she balanced energy in the kennel. My denseness: she is so patient and eager to try to help me understand.
I don’t think it’s your denseness. I believe she doesn’t know yet herself. Because of her patience I have asked her if she would accept the job to balance the energies and now she is trying to figure out if and how she can do that.

Inactive MemberAgain, thank you for your prompt and detailed answers, Klaudia (especially because you have such time-consuming responsibilities). It seems Sophie was reaching me even though I thought I kept interrupting her and then getting distracted.
I Googled “how do cats balance energy” and found this article:
Not really an answer “how” but it affirmed that felines have this ability (don’t know how reliable the source is, though). When I signed up for Val Heart’s beginner course, I had no idea of the adventures to come.
All the best to you, Miss Sophie, and your other companions.

Platinum MemberHi Carol,
This month fit in very well, because last week and this week I am on leave in order to clean my yard. Thus, I can easily take some time to check for and answer conversations with Miss Sophie.
I will read the article later today when it is getting dark and I can’t see what I am doing outside.

Platinum MemberHi Martha
Copying your post. That makes it so much easier to reply.
I’m going to see if Sophie is interested in connecting now and if she is I’ll post: I’m connecting with Sophie as I write this. I said, “Hello,” to Sophie and right away she came up and rubbed me. She was happy to connect with me 🙂
I am sure she was. She asked me already, why there aren’t so many people talking to her any more and I explained that her month is over and now another animal will take over as FAT. She. Was a bit sad about it, but I think she understands.
I asked her what’s new. She said not much…same typical stuff with the cats and the dog stuff. She did say though you got something new.
Oh, yes. We got a new baby cat and his feral mommy. Mommy is not even 9 months old and still fairly small. 2 of the 3 kittens were way too big for her and were dead by the time they came out. Only the smaller one (little more than half the size of the other 2) made it out alive. Mommy is in pretty bad shape. Now, after 2 days the bleeding seems to have stopped, but she is still under treatment for severe pneumonia. She refuses to feed the baby, thus, I have started to bottle feed him. From next week on that will be a big problem, because I will be back at work and therefore can feed him only every 5 hours. I will take him with me and leave him in the car, so that I can feed him over lunch. Fortunately, I have an underground parking place. You can read the full story of the birth in my accountability report.
She said she’s also becoming more comfortable with the other animals. She said, “Martha, let me tell you, it’s nice.” That was in regards to feeling more comfortable with the other animals. She said she’s not so afraid of them and more tolerant of them and that that changes how they are towards her for the better.
True, she is doing much better. She gained a lot of confidence over the last month.
One of my cats wanted something and I played with them a little and did some things and then came back to Sophie. I apologized if I was rude since I did that. She said it was but she understood. I thanked her and told her she’s very understanding. She said she is and that nobody is perfect.
That sounds very much like her.
I also got that Sophie sees spirits and they glow. I also got that she is an angel.
OMG, glowing spirits. Where does she see them and what are they doing? Do I need to be worried?
I also got, “Happiness,” and “Forgiveness’. She was saying this for me because it’s important for me. She also said earlier you’re kind, patient, caring, and a good listener.
Happy to hear Miss Sophie has such a high opinion of me. Though, with the patience I often struggle.
I told Sophie I love her and said, “Let’s talk again.” I petted her head and stroked her chin. She purred 🙂
Lately she started to like that.

ModeratorYou all have done an amazing job! Kudos to Sophie, Klaudia and the entire team of students. Though April is complete and our May FAT Rocco is ready to chat, please continue these wonderful conversations as time allows. And as Sphie says, it is important to include patience and play.

Platinum MemberHello @klaudia-schmidt,
Boy, it took me a long time to get back to Sophie, but since I made a promise to come back, it has been on my mind to do so and I did. When I connected with her, she was so happy. She was shinning like a bright sun and was very warm and beaming with happiness. I asked her why she is so happy and she tells me that you, Klaudia, are talking to her finally. It is not like the previous talking but like really connecting and heart-to-heart talking.
Previously, I sensed she was not sure what she is here for but I sensed that she knows what it is now partly due to your stronger connection to her.
So, whatever you are doing with Sophie, keep it up because it is making her very happy. 🙂
I feel I’ve been showered with a very positive energy this morning. Thank you, Sophie!
Thanks,
Chigusa -

Platinum MemberI made it a habit to check in with my family a couple times over my working day. Otherwise I am not aware of any changes. I think however, Sophie was happy that you got in touch. When her time as FAT was over she asked me, why nobody was talking to her any more. I explained to her the way this works, which she accepted. But she was still a little sad. That was actually what brought me to the idea to get in touch during my day.

Platinum MemberThat sounds wonderful, Klaudia! Like I said, Sophie is loving it!
I do check in with Mig when I am traveling and occasionally from work, but I am not disciplined enough to commit to doing that regularly. I probably should consider… Very good idea, thank you for sharing!
