ModeratorDaniel has volunteered to host his cat Rocco as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
Gold and Platinum members will have an opportunity to connect with Rocco along with Val on the next Q&A call Saturday, May 11. We encourage all of you to connect with Rocco now and through out the month.
Tune into Rocco first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Rocco feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc.
Ask Rocco ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Have fun!
Many thanks to Daniel for offering to host Rocco as our featured animal teacher for this month. We look forward to Daniel and Rocco sharing feedback, information and stories along our journey.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
Thanks for offering Rocco as our teacher. He is a beautiful cat. I did a short communication with him (due to lack of time). My impression is that he is a very relaxed cat, living indoors only. He loves cuddles and sitting next to his human. Sometimes he is a little bit mischievous, but more in a funny way. He lives about 5 years with Daniel (not sure if this came from Rocco or if my ego kicked in once again).
I see his aura in various shades of blue and green.

Rocco is a very relaxed cat and does love to be around people. He does love cuddles and has a very funny personality. He is an indoor cat, but loves to got outside a lot (especially when the weather is nice) and wander around the neighborhood common areas. We’ve had him for about 11 years. Great job!

What I sensed from Rocco was that he is happy with you. He still likes to play (sees himself as a james bond of a cat) but loves his sleepy-time. It appears that Daniel’s into DIY and makes great “catification” things for him.
He has a little discomfort in his lower areas, nothing bad, might just be wind.
He enjoys sixties’ music. Says his purr makes you think of rocket-man.
He likes his food but keeps you on your toes, if you buy a lot of something because you think it’s fave, he will disdain it.I thanked him of course and said goodbye, and he blinked a “bye” at me. I hope some of this at least is on target! Tank you for letting me try to communicate with him 🙂

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
Thank you for offering Rocco as the FAT. He’s a wonderful and handsome kitty.I’m connecting with Rocco as I write this. Rocco asked me what I’d like to know. I told him anything he’d like to share. He said he loves to lounge and nap in the sun! He said he has a favorite spot that is his special place for lounging and napping. He said he has a special blanket that is his that he lounges and naps with. He said that when it comes to bedtime, he sleeps with you.
He said he doesn’t know everything in the world but is very wise.
He said he’s the boss but sometimes has to do what you say, but usually wins you over and gets his way.
He sent an image of you doing something that looked like playing a video game. He also sent an image of you lying down reading.
He said he enjoys playing and sent me an image of him playing with a ball.
He said he likes to see what’s going on outside.
He said he likes to jump up into your arms and you hold him. He also sent an image of you holding him and he’s stretched out along your chest while you’re upright. He also sent an image of you lying on your side and him being curled up next to you.
He said he loves tuna but you don’t give him a lot because of the mercury that’s in tuna.
He also said he loves shrimp.
He said he’s a carnivore and loves meat!
He said he’s a prowler and night time is his time.
He sent me an image of him pawing and said he paws your face and also gets in your face when he wants you to get up for breakfast sometimes-other time he waits in bed with you waiting for you to get up when you’re ready. He said you know when he wants to eat and that you two communicate telepathically, but you also verbally talk to him. He said he verbally talks to you, too, with meows. 🙂
I asked him how old he is. He said he would tell me next time. LOL! I told him to have a wonderful weekend. He wished me the same and called me, “Doll”! That’s so cute! He said he has a great sense of humor and sent me an image of the Cheshire Cat from “Alice in Wonderland” smiling :-)I told him I look forward to talking to him again and he said he does, too.

Inactive MemberHi Martha, you’re definitely right on with most of it. Rocco is a very sweet cat and loves to lounge in the sun. He loves to be outside and has a blanket that he enjoys. I don’t play video games, but assume that it could be doing work on my phone or tablet. I’m not completely sure what ball he likes to play with but I also know that he plays at night when he’s not curled up with me. You’re spot on about the foot he likes. Maybe we’ll try to give him a little more tuna since we rarely do it. I’m consistent with waking up. I don’t think he paws my face, but the animals don’t let me sleep in usually and they do start to wake me. Rocco does meow some, but not very much, but he does talk to me (we have another cat that is much more vocal). Rocco is funny and what you wrote about him calling you “Doll” cracks me up because it seems like him.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad to hear I was right about at least some things. As for the tuna, it’s probably healthier for him to not get it often due to the mercury. As for him calling me, “Doll,” I also got an image of the Dos Equis guy in the commercial and I think one of those cigarettes that are in the cartoon strips of that old lady who is so sarcastic. He didn’t mean the cigarette as a real one though. I think it was representing his personality. -

Carol Schuyler (SKY ler)
Inactive MemberHi Daniel,
Rocco and I shot the breeze briefly after greetings, e.g., about humans writing down notes, being distracted and multitasking unless we’re specifically trying to be mindful, and tuxedo cats. I mentioned (as did others) that he seems relaxed and added that he’s a smooth operator in a positive sense. He agreed that he is.
Other impressions:
–He lives where it’s warm much of the year.
–He likes to lie on the window sill to be as close to the outside as possible. The window tends to be down, though, so he’s not next to the screen.
–He can be mischievous, e.g., brushing against your hand so that kibble goes on the counter or floor, and he’s amused, e.g., if you trip over a ball.
–He feels closer to you than to Kali, Buddy, or the human who lives with you (I’m supposing that “we” in your responses refers to a human partner). All three pets welcome you when you come home from work. He has not been an “only” pet.
Rocco asked me questions about my pets. We did a high five with his paw and my thumb.

Inactive MemberHi Carol, great job! We live in Denver so it’s not necessarily warm all year but there is a lot of sun so maybe that’s what he was conveying. He does love his spot on a couch by the window where he sunbathes a lot. He is quite mischievous but fun. You are also right in that he has never been an “only” pet being one of three animals most of his life. Your post was very accurate. I hope you had fun chatting with him:)

ModeratorGreat job! I just asked Rocco if he is a ladies man what with his smooth lines like “Doll” and I got the same look back from him that my cat Rumery gave me when I made a comment to him related to private conversation he’d had with Val. Not my best moment. I did enjoy the laughs though.
Rocco has the tuxedo style, that is a certain swagger which is more mind set with a bit of hip swing. And he enjoys knowing lots and being wise and sharing those traits with Daniel, knowing they can relax together, understanding each other.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel, I enjoyed connecting with Rocco. He feels very confident and takes life in stride. He is very observant of everyone in his environment. I asked him if he had any advice for you. He said that you need more downtime. He says that you get regimented staying on a schedule. He wants you to do spontaneous things that are joyful to you. He is also up for playing anytime. He feels youthful in his physical body but his soul has been around countless times. He has been human before as well as just about every animal. He really enjoys the body of a cat. He enjoys the conversations and the attention. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Gold MemberWow, Rocco is really something. I missed that part of our call where everyone tuned to Rocco so I know nothing about him, havent even read others communications. Just thought I would try real quick before I have to go to work in a few minutes.
He is beautiful and very confident in himself, he made me laugh a couple times. He loves David and says he is very gentle but let me know that he, Rocco, is the Boss. He said that he doesn’t play that much anymore, thinks he is too mature for that sort of thing.
I got that he is an indoor cat, at least mostly, but he told me could catch mice and birds – if he wanted. I laughed and said I bet you could! He said he does stalk things, bugs maybe a dust bunny, anything to keep himself …his mind sharp and his body in good shape. He just is really a character. I couldn’t tell if he is an only cat, I said you seem like you could be the king of a family of cats, he said yes. Like I said very sure of himself. Told him I had to go as have to go to work and thanked him for talking with me. He gave a nod. So funny.
Kathy
P.S. I haven’t done this in quite a while so forgive if I didn’t get much right.-

Inactive MemberHi Kathy, great job! Your post is actually quite accurate. Rocco is a funny cat but does also consider himself very mature and has a regal posture about him. He is mostly an indoor cat but does spend a lot of time outside during the summer. He has occasionally brought us a mouse or bird that he caught. He is not the only animal in the house. He lives with another cat, another dog, and five humans so it’s hectic:)

Inactive MemberHi Daniel, I connected with Rocco the night before the live call and then during the call. I will post both. 5/10: I felt his paw on my heart and felt that he is a healer who enjoys affection. I saw a flash of red and instantly felt I was seeing image of a fruit tree? cherries or apples. I got that Rocco likes to be in human social space. I got that he likes (or would like or has liked) climbing trees and stalking birds. I got the message that he has stiffness in hip joints? I got that he likes other animals and that he sometimes stays clear of your dog, though there are no issues. Is there a chef in the house or someone who really enjoys the kitchen space and preparing meals/presentation. I saw a blue apron or napkin and Rocco sitting on it, on a person’s lap. I see Rocco as very intelligent and strong. I hear a low toned simple meow. I saw a pool table and 8 ball. I see him smelling around in the pantry. I see him clawing wood in the house. Does he love canned food? I see someone with a needle and thread or yard and that this person is careful about their supplies around the animals Is he the subject of someone’s art projects (painter or sculptor in house?). Is there a porch with carpets outside? I see Rocco watching a hummingbird feeder, he can’t get to. I heard him say “I don’t need to rule, I just want to relax and have fun and be comfortable.” I heard the word “trickster.” I got that he doesn’t like his belly scratched as much as his ears and base/tail. I saw an image of a brown owl. I got that hearing is his main sense, that he sees with his ears, even more than other cats. I heard that he is a lucky kitty. I also saw a kite and an image of a rabbit, a metaphor for something perhaps.

Inactive MemberHi Angela, thank you. Yes, Rocco loves affection. Rocco spends a lot of time outside during the summer in the neighborhood and there’s lots of trees. We have a tree in our backyard with some small non-edible fruits. Rocco is very social. Everyone around the neighborhood has gotten to know him because he lets people approach him (he also follows us when we walk the dog). Yes, Rocco likes to hunt and has occasionally brought us a dead bird or mouse. I’m not sure about stiffness in his joints but he still seems pretty agile, but it’s possible and we haven’t noticed it since he’s getting older. He and the dog get along, but the dog likes to pounce on him so that may be why he gives him his space. We all cook, primarily my wife, but it gets quite fragrant and I know all the animals salivate from it. The cats like to try to eat food that we have on the countertop sometimes so we have to keep an eye on them. I’m not sure what the pool table and 8 ball represent, we don’t have one, but maybe it’s more symbolic of Rocco? He does love canned food. The kids do a lot of art projects in the house, but none with needles. He does have a porch outside and there aren’t carpets, but welcome mats that he sits on quite a bit. The rest seems quite accurate. He enjoys his time. There are bunnies all over the neighborhood so maybe that’s what that image is about. Excellent job!

Inactive Memberfrom 5/11 live call: I saw and felt Rocco bring his head downwards with a turning motion, leaning in for affection or greeting. I saw him yawning and stretching and going around the circle of people (on the live call) and swatting their hands in greeting. I saw the color Blue around him. I felt his energy as soft and inviting, strong knowing and strong boundaries, and also very receptive and calm. I see him playing with the curtains. He stays in more, but loves to hunt.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
I’m connecting with Rocco as I write this. I greeted him and asked him how he is doing. He said, “Splendidly”.
He also said, “Life is what you make of it. Me personally, I try to enjoy every moment. And with all the love and attention I get, it’s easy and enjoyable.” Then I got the word, “Smile,” and he sent an image of a smiley face cat (I guess him like the Cheshire Cat”.
It’s 6:29 am PST and i asked him what he’s been up to today. He said he hasn’t been up to much so far and that he had breakfast. I think he said he got some pats. He said the kids left for school and that there aren’t any other humans at home now.I told Rocco about some of my challenges and asked him about if my cats and I were to move and how it’d be best for my cats. He gave me some great and helpful advice!
He said he’s thoroughly enjoying talking to all of us and the attention. He said he loves being asked for his advice and opinions and being able to share his wisdom. He said he loves certain people’s energies.
He also said he loves to help people and loves to help you and the rest of his/your family at home. He said you ask him for his help and advice. He also said he loves to help you when he gets into/on things like the computer, a suitcase, a box, things you might be doing. He said how he helps is either by being part of the excitement and joy or by getting your mind off of whatever it is if it’s stressing you out or something like that and you need to just step back for a bit from it. He said he mentioned during the call you need to do that sometimes and that you get too caught up in stuff (like work) and let it be too present instead of just loving, living, and being in the moment. He just said to follow his lead!
I told him I was going to close the conversation for now but that I’d love to talk again. He said that is all good and that he’d love to talk again, too. I gave him a kiss and he said he was going to take a nap. I said okay to that and told him to have a wonderful weekend. He wished me the same and said, “Doll,” again 🙂 He sent the word, “purr,” before and he just now sent an image of him purring and rubbing his head on my face. I did the same and smiled. I told him to be well and be happy and to keep up the swagger. He said the swagger makes him happy and is part of his thing. I told him he’s so funny. I told him I love him.

Inactive MemberHi Martha, that seems about right, Rocco does try to make the most of life. He was home mostly alone on Friday. The au pair was home but it’s calm when the kids aren’t there.
Rocco’s been through some cross country moves so I’m glad he was able to give you advice. I could’ve used it back then. Hopefully we’re done moving now.
Rocco is very social and loves to be around people so I’m not surprised he’s enjoyed this experience.
It’s great advice and I appreciate his help. I’m not always aware of when he’s helping but I know he is.
Great job again! I hope you’re enjoying talking to him. I did want to see if you had had any insight into why Rocco said he doesn’t live with any humans on the group call (not sure if you heard or not), but I haven’t heard anyone tackle this challenge from Val yet:)

Inactive MemberHi Daniel,
I’m perplexed about behavior changes in my cats, especially Shoshana, so I asked Rocco if maybe he could communicate with her.
According to a pendulum, he and I were connected and he received two images I sent him: of Shoshana on a table next to the porch screen and of Shoshana curled up in a hooded cat cozy in the bedroom. If he knows what caused Shoshana to be upset on the porch or what causes her to stay in the cozy, I haven’t received his answers. The pendulum swings in the “I don’t know” direction.
I also sent him an image of Clooney, an outdoor visitor who was coming daily for food and rest on large, unopened bags of potting soil. Same response as with Shoshana.
When I asked for advice for myself, I got “clearing,” which is what I’ve been trying to do in meditations.
I asked Rocco to try to contact me (may be hard to get through) if any information comes to him. I thanked him, and we agreed to connect later.

1. Breathe from your belly
2. Take time to Just be. I love hanging out on the couch and observing.
3. Let the connection end when you are finished. Animals don’t hang onto your energy so remember to “disconnect the phone” and pull your energy back in.Thank You! Rocco!

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
That’s good to know you and Rocco have moved cross country before. If I ask you for advice on moving with my cats out of state (if my cats and I move), is it okay if I ask you?I’m connecting with Rocco as I write this: When I first greeted him, he knew me without me telling him it’s me. He was very happy and excited to be connecting 🙂
I asked him about why he said he doesn’t live with any other humans. I got two answers. The first was that he is closest to you. Later he said I think he feels most connected to you and connects best to your energy. I also got, and I’m not sure if this is accurate, that he doesn’t consider the kids as people really because they’re not full grown. He thinks of them as still learning about the world and little beings, like kittens. He said he knows they’re humans though, but they’re different than adults.
He told me something before or while answering the above question, but I forget what exactly it was.
He said the weather where he lives hasn’t been too good lately and asked me about the weather where I live. I told him that the weather here has been overcast and that it rained yesterday and that there was thunder and lightning. I told him that one of the thunder sounds was really loud. He said he knows the thunder is okay, but he doesn’t like thunder. He said it hurts his ears and is scary. I asked him what he does when it thunders. He said if there’s a lot of thunder he hides somewhere-like under the bed or in a closet. He said sometimes you hold him when there’s a lot of thunder. He said when there’s just a little bit, he gets startled and gets a little stiff with wide eyes and his ears go back a little. He said he doesn’t mind just rain though and actually enjoys the sound and watching it while sitting in a chair near a window he likes to look out of. He said he also likes to curl up in a red blanket when it rains and other times, too, and take a nap.
I also got that he saw a dog recently.
He didn’t have anything else he wanted to talk about right now and said he was going to go take a nap or see what someone/people are doing. It’s 3:28 PM PST. I got just now I think that he said he could smell someone making dinner (human food with seasoning). He likes the smell. Maybe he was anticipating that. Anyway, he said he’d like to talk again later and I told him I would, too. I told him to have a great weekend and he said for me to, too, and called me, “Hon”. He also called me “Sweetheart” and “Doll”. I gave him some pats 🙂

Inactive MemberHi Martha, thanks! Loved your post. Yes, you’re welcome to ask me about moving out of state. We did it twice before I learned about animal communication and did it in two different ways although both were flights.
Rocco lives with three adults. Me, my wife, and an au pair. My wife got him shorty before we met and she says Rocco chose her. That’s why I was curious what Rocco might say about that.
Our weather hasn’t been very good recently. It’s been cloudy, rainy, and it even snowed this last week. He loves being outside but hasn’t been as much as recently.
Rocco lives with our dog, Buddy, and another cat too, but he goes outside and explores the green belt in our neighborhood. He actually comes with Buddy and me on walks, which neighbors think is funny (Yes, I’m that person). He actually comes in contact with other people’s dogs too so that could be it.
Have a great weekend.

Inactive MemberHi Daniel
Thank you and Rocco to make yourselves available to be the FAT.
Rocco is a very content and loved cat. He looks so balanced. He is an old soul and has a lot of wisdom. He seems to live a full life and that his needs are met. He loves his home, loves the sounds of his home and the atmosphere including his people. He looks healthy. He does his daily rounds to check if his territory is ‘in order’.
He likes to drink water out of different sources. Rocco is a happy cat.-

Inactive MemberHi Manuela, thank you for your post and we’ve been happy to be available. What you have written is accurate. Rocco has lived with other animals (another cat and dog) his whole life. It’s funny because if you told my wife and I 10 years ago that Rocco would be our most balanced animal, we would have laughed. But he really is… Now we can see that he is an old soul and is wise. He does like to check his territory, which is not small (he follows my dog, Buddy and I, on walks around the neighborhood). I’m sure he drinks water from plenty of different places and he is an overall happy cat. Great job!

Inactive MemberHi Carol, yes, I saw you posted something a few days ago, but couldn’t find it anywhere to reply. I was a bit confused on how the forum works at first so no worries.
Rocco is a kind cat that is very social but he’s caring. He is a happy cat and yes, he definitely has a James Bond suave personality. He loves his naps, especially in the sun. I’m not sure about the music or the pain in the lower legs, but he has listened to plenty of sixties music on Pandora. He is older, but gets around pretty well still.
I hope that helps. I think you did a great job and were able to capture his essence.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
Thanks for the feedback and willingness to help if I come to you with moving questions.
That’s adorable that he likes to go on walks with you and Buddy! He’s Mr. Adventure Kitty! Watch out for stuff outside from other dogs and things to keep him healthy. Sometimes there can be bad stuff outside, like on the ground or parasites in dog poop on the ground. In regards to Rocco saying he didn’t live with any other humans on the call that one time, maybe I misunderstood or maybe he was saying that you were the only on the call he lives with.
I hope you and Rocco have a meowvelous weekend and that you stay inside where it’s warm and dry and enjoy that or that the weather is great for you three to go on a walk! Either way, I hope it’s paw-some!
Love to Rocco!

As I was connecting to him he began coaching me.
He said, “That’s it, take a couple more deep breaths, now you’re tuned in. Now what would you like to talk about?” I said I want to talk about connecting with animals. He said, “well it’s mostly in the approach, your energy needs to be right and then you have to be confident in what you receive.
After that a whole new world opens up for you.”
What great advice!! I asked him about his experience as FAT and he said, “I really like seeing where people are at and how they think. How good they are at quieting their mind, it’s a process you see.”
Yes I agree. I thanked him for his time and his wisdom. What a great cat you have indeed.-

Inactive MemberWhen I connected to Rocco last night, Shoshana was much on my mind so I was quiet. Rocco sent, “I understand.” Then I seemed to get three things in this order:
–He likes chunky food. (But maybe Amazon’s Wag canned food was on my mind. At first my cats liked it; now they don’t.)
–He recommended listening to Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto #2 to help with grieving. (But maybe that was ego mind. Lots of meditation and practice needed to separate his [or any animal’s] stuff from mine.)
–He especially likes a baby girl or one perhaps toddler age.
Rocco is a rock in a stream at troubled times. Thank you both!

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
I’m connecting with Rocco as I write this. He invited me to meditate a little bit with him. We did that.
I asked him what’s been going on with him lately. He said, “Not much, Doll. Living life.”I asked him if anything interesting, exciting, or funny happened. He said that a dog did something funny. I think it’s one of the dogs on his walk.
He said he likes to play with leaves when he goes on walks. He likes the feeling of when he goes on walks because he feels like “Master of his Domain”. He likes having more territory to explore.
I asked if he’s looking forward to summer. He said, “yes!” He’s looking forward to lots of day light and being able to goo out on his own more often and for longer if he wants.
He sent images of him being held by you. One of him being on your chest long ways while you’re sitting and then the other of him being on your chest while you’re lying down. He likes this.
He said if the girls (your kids) are feeling down he cheers them up. He said he does this with your and your wife, too.
He said he likes to imagine what it’s like to be a human and sometimes humans make him curious and amaze him.
He said when you guys go on your walks, there is a nice two story house in the area he likes and you like, too, from the outside.
He says he knows the sound of your car when you come home and that he greets you when you walk in the door.
He wanted to go take a nap. He said for us to talk later. We wished each other a wonderful weekend at the same time. haha! He sent me an image of him lying down in napping position. I patted him on the head and gave him a kiss and told him I love him.

Barb: In other words: “Slow down and smell the roses.”
Rocco: There is so much to notice and appreciate about our shared world.

Platinum MemberHi Daniel,
I was reading Barb’s posts about Rocco’s messages. I’m not sure if I saw the name, “Benji,” or something that looked like it, but “Benji,” came to mind. Does rocco by chance know someone named Benji or watch, “Benji”? Is there a Benji look alike on his walks?
