Alicia has volunteered to host her dog Chica who is in spirit as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.

Tune into Chica first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Chica feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc.

Hi Alicia and thank you for sharing Chica with us. When I checked in with Chica, she? made me feel a sense of curiousity and wonder. She showed me that she is standing tall and able to see things from a higher point of view. She told me she loved to play and showed me a ball ( dark color) that she used to play with. She told me she was very protective and still watches over those who loved her. She has a lot to share with all of us as she showed me many thoughts circling around her.

Wow Jo, awesome connection !! Yes Chica does see things from a higher perspective in spirit. Her appearance in spirit is different from who she was in her last life. She definitely watches over me and still sleeps on the bed with me several nights during the week. I love that she showed you thoughts circling around her. Hello Alicia,
Thank you so much for offering Chica for communication this month.I got that Chica was a very nice and sweat girl when she was with us. There’s something very calm and soothing about her. I see her lifting her front legs like marching left, right, in succession when she gets excited and she twirls when she really gets excited but that’s pretty much the level of excitement she shows to me (unlike dogs that are very excitable like my dog :)).
I sensed that she used to go to many places with you and she likes to settle with you. She really has a very calm energy about her.
Don’t know if you saw my post about my communication with Angel but I was thinking what a perfect mentor for Angel energetically, I thought. But I felt resistance from Angel. Not sure what it is but I’ll connect with Angel to see about what that meant. I just wanted to have conversation with Chica today so I didn’t go deep on that.

She came into my room very energetic and after I introduced myself she started turning circles in a very energetic way. Lots of circles. Yapping at me in a very happy way as if to tell me hello!. Not in a mean way but a happy way. Very Happy dog. Just beautiful. (didn’t have any clothes on at the time but later showed me that she had many outfits and she felt very special in them.) As she was greeting me she crouched down with tail in the air wagging vigorously (I call it the slide position) wanting to play. I asked her what was her favorite thing to do while here and she thought for a moment and then showed me taking walks with you in one of her outfits prancing along and showing off. She also showed me she loved attention from all the people she met along the way too. Very friendly and loving. She also loved it when you would talk to her like she knew exactly what you were saying. Because she did she said. She showed me she was a great alarm for you when people would come by. Yapping really loudly and acting all tough until the people came in and then she would love the attention. I asked if there was anything she wanted you to know and she said, “Yes, tell her I’m with her now and when she hears a squeaky toy or toy bell it was her. REALLY!” I loved it when she said REALLY. That was cute. I told her thank you for talking with me and she turned and pranced very proudly out of the room. Very happy.

Chica was so special and sweet when she was a chihuahua.
You are correct about her being soothing. I could be stressed about something and we would cuddle and before I knew it we had fallen asleep. We had great naps together.
What you described her doing lifting her front legs we used to call it her happy dance. I am so glad she showed you that. Boy you are right, she went everywhere with me. Countless horse shows and plane rides. She was a great traveler. You are onto something with an energy connection to Angel. I did see your communication with Angel and responded. Thank you so much for your time connecting with Chica. -
Hi Kathy, I love her entrance !! She loved prancing in circles. She was temperature sensitive not having a lot of hair so I made sure she had the finest cotour. Soft fleece animal prints were her best look. I absolutely love that she told you that. The slide position play we called it her being a miniature cutting horse because she had all the moves. Wow she was the friendliest chihuahua anyone had ever seen. She knew no strangers and had no fear. She would let me know when people came by but she never barked at people or when the doorbell rang. The only time she barked was when we would play fetch or keep away. Because she didn’t bark I snuck her into a lot of hotels that didn’t allow dogs and never was caught.Chica still sleeps with me on the bed several times a week. I do hear her and see her still. I love that she said Really, because I used to say that to her all the time. Thank you so much for your great communication with Chica. I hope you connect with her again.

Hello Alicia,
I’m sorry that I was disturbed by Chica’s photo. I wasn’t aware that her shape was affected by her probably wearing a sweater–as explained in your answer to Kathy. What troubled me, though, was that I thought she had six legs: the two crossed in front, the middle two straight, and the two she was sitting on from which I thought I could see a paw on her right side. If she does have that abnormality, I shouldn’t be rattled by it if she’s not. About midway in our conversation, I asked if she had six legs; she seemed taken aback by the question and answered four, of course.
She seems a merry little being. When I asked her what she’d most like to show you in her new home, I saw clear glass/glass-like steps and landings. She liked the smooth surface for dancing and walking or running.
I seemed to get that she passed at age eleven about nine months ago because of a heartbeat problem. In addition to crunchy kibble, she liked her wet food kind of soupy. I did not see her on the stable floors, so maybe she was careful around horses (or I imagined she would be because of size difference).

Hi Carol, yes I guess the picture confused you. Chica had normal features. Chica made it to 17 years. Ages are hard to know. She had kidney failure and I knew it was time for her to transition. Chica was and still is the happiest soul. I uses to say, I want to be Chica because she has the best life ever. I think she still does in spirit. The last year of her life it was hard to get her to eat so she went from dry dog food to brisket tacos and fillet mignon and corned beef. I added liquid so you are right in the soupy aspect. The vet said give her whatever she will eat. You are correct that she didn’t like being around the horses.
We called her the head of house security because that was her domain. Excellent job Carol. I hope you connect with her again. Chica and I are grateful for your time and energy. -

Hi Alicia,
When I connected with Chica, I experienced all these swirly ribbons of different soft colors first like streamers people dance with.
“I’m happy! I’m free! I go where I want when I want.”
I said I didn’t know that you could go back and forth between the two “worlds” easily. She showed me a tunnel with golden light at one end.
I said: You don’t get stuck? She said I’m not a ghost, I’m a spirit.
I said: Can all animals do this? I thought they transitioned and forgot about this life.
She said: I have a special bond with Alicia. We will be together spiritually for a long time. Some of us can do this…Others leave happily and forget.
I said: Thank You Chica. -

Hi Barbara, what fantastic information you received from Chica. Excellent questions!! My brother is in spirit also and he would bring Chica and our other dog in spirit to visit when he did which was often. Chica is so right about our special bond. She was more like my child than a dog to me. I never had to grieve her because she was right back on the bed with me to sleep most nights. I thank you so much for your time with Chica. Your message brought happy tears to my eyes. Great job!!

Chica, she is an older lady. Full of life. Her body hurts sometimes but she likes to be in the middle of everything and always needs to be up-to-date of what is going on, except when she sleeping. When she sleeps, she sleeps. She is excited about life. She loves her family and is friendly to most people. With other animals, she likes to have her distance. She is the queen and likes to have her kingdom.
I just had a short look. So curious of what is right and false.

Hi Manuela, you really are accurate. Chica was older, she had some discomfort towards the end. She would stand in the middle of a group so she could keep up with everything going on. She was so funny. Oh boy she was a master of sleep with power naps during the day. She played hard and slept hard. She loved people but with animals she didn’t want them stepping on her turf. She was the boss of the house. She made house rounds and kept tabs on everyone in the house. Chica definitely was the queen of her kingdom.
You captured her perfectly. Great job !! Thank you for your time with my special girl. -

I’ve not read the other posts yet, as I don’t want them to sway my communication, so I apologise if you’ve xovered any of this with anyone. I will go back and read the comments shortly.
When I connected with Chica I felt a real calmness around her. I asked what she was like before she passed and got a sense of an exciteable dog. I picked up a lot of yapping and running around in circles when playing. Lots of high energy.
I asked when she passed over and got 11 years, but couldn’t distinguush whether that was her age or how long ago she passed over.I asked how she passed and got the words euthanised and tumour, followed by a pain in my head. I sensed a bit of snappiness near the end.
I asked if Chica has had any other lives since passing and got 1, but she isn’t in another body right now.
Chica said she is happy now and loves you.

Hi Alicia! Thank you for volunteering Chica for the FAT. She’s a real sweet girl. I introduced myself and for a split second Chica was a bit unsure of me. After that split second she warmed up. She even gave me a couple of kisses on my nose and lips. She asked me what I’d like to talk about. I said, “Why don’t you tell me about yourself when you were in physical form as the dog Chica.” She said, “I’d love to. Well, I was sweet, smart, funny, and very pampered. I loved to go on walks, and I had a leash but it wasn’t a thick one. It was dainty. I was around the horses, but I wasn’t crazy about this because I had a small body and they were so big. Tina was alright though. Sometimes I’d get really cold and Mommy would put clothes on me, hence the clothes I’m wearing in the picture. Sometimes I’d get so cold I’d shake a bit. I loved little pieces of meat-chicken or hot dogs. I hung around Angel after I passed on to help her cope and heal with my passing on, and I still hang out around Angel. I hang out with Mommy, too.” She said she had to go play and we closed the conversation until next time. I told her she can come back and talk to me anytime and if I’d aware of it and able to, I’d love to talk to her again. I told her I’d be back next week to talk again. I told her she’s a wonderful soul and I love her. She kissed me on my nose again.

Hi Melanie, Chica does have a sense of calmness definitely. Chica didn’t bark hardly at all. Only when she was overcome with excitement playing fetch. She did get excited and run in circles. Chica passed when she was 17 and in January it will be 2 yrs. Correct she was euthanized. I wasn’t aware of a tumor but it could have been possible. She was in kidney failure. She had not eaten the last 2 days so I think that was the pain in her head.
Congratulations you are the first to pick up on a life since passing. There is one and her reincarnation is still in a body. Excellent!! Aww thank you for relaying her message of love for me from my special girl. -
Hi Martha, I enjoyed your conversation with Chica. You described perfectly how she gives kisses !! She is a great kisser, she would crawl up a person and French kiss them with lightening speed. Lol. The description she gave you was perfect. She had a small leash but we didn’t use it much. Yes she wasn’t crazy about the horses she liked being around us in the house. When we were with the horses she was in the house napping. She loved her warm clothes and being wrapped up in soft blankets like a burrito. She had meat and chicken the last year of her life because her appetite was poor. She is around Angel and I all the time.
Chica is a wonderful soul. I look forward to your next communication with her. -

Hi Alica, I just wanted to mention what I experienced with Chica during the Q & A call on November 10th.
When we all connected with Chica she trembled ever so slightly. I felt she was overwhelmed by all the attention at once. She got over that really quickly and then I could see she was surrounded by a light soft pink aura. She was curious, gentle and full of love. She wanted all of us to feel this power that love brings …and I do believe she was successful in doing so. Thank you for letting her share this with all of us! -
Hi Barb, you are right she was inquisitive, she made her rounds around the house checking with us at regular intervals. She always checked the kitchen floor for anything dropped that she might want to eat. When my husband and I would have conversations she would watch us closely taking it all in. Yes her spirit is huge, even when she was in a tiny body it was huge. Thank you for your time connecting with her. I appreciate you sharing your energy with Chica.

Hi Jo, yes Chica did surround us all with a pink energy of love. I was so happy that we could all share in the magical moment of her powerful love. I am still in awe from it.
It’s so wonderful to see that our animals go on to be better versions of themselves and we need to celebrate and focus on this more than being sad about losing them.

Chica: yay! Woohoo…ok to feel stupid too. It’s my essence…. my beingness that’s true. True fairy…loopy loo!

That definitely fits Chica. We always called her a princess. She hasn’t presented herself to me as a fairy yet but anything is possible. I can see her representing her beingness as a fairy. It fits her personality. I think Chica wants us all to feel light and free like she is now.

Hi Alicia, When I checked in again with Chica, she greeted me like an old friend and I immediately felt a sense of love and peace. I asked what she was doing and she showed me that she was playing in a grassy meadow. She told me that she was playing with a young little dog there earlier and they were romping around together, running in circles. I asked her who the young little dog was and if she could tell me his name. She laughed and said “We were too busy playing to talk about our names”. I asked if she had any messages for you. She said: ” I don’t get cold anymore. I am not too hot or too cold, I am feeling just right”. I thanked her for talking to me and told her how special her messages are.

For awhile I believed I could connect with animals but now I am wondering what is going on….probably too anxious about it…
First I grounded myself and then I said hello Chica.
I asked Chica to show me the body she visits Alicia in.
Then I saw a very fleeting glimpse of a white bear and then more steadily a lion with a huge mane…. I asked if she had anything to tell me and she said “Don’t take Luchien(my daughter’s dog) to the dog park.”
Crazy experience. -
Hi Jo, I am so happy that Chica was playing in nature.
I am so glad that she doesn’t have to be sensitive to temperature anymore. I just remembered that when she came in from outside or we wanted to see if she was cold I would feel her ears and warm them up in a blanket. She loved getting warm in her soft fleece blankets. She is free from all that. Wonderful!! I love your talks with her. -
Hi Barbara, Don’t doubt yourself for seeing more than one animal and wondering how can this be right or be Chica. You are exactly right. I have my totem animals in my energy always. Chica is also frequently in my energy with them. I have a totem bear and a lion, and a wolf and an elephant and a turtle and a horse. I also have a cat from a previous life around me a lot. When I do energy healings I see them, when I meditate I see them. Sometimes they blend into one another including Chica so you are definitely on the right track. My primary totem animal is an elephant and she merges with my primary healing guide often because they often represent the same messages and guidance. Wonderful!!!

Hi Alicia,
During the Q&A, I felt the deep wellspring of Chica’s joy (more then merely the “merry little being” from last week). I also seemed to see shooting stars radiating from her.
Like others, I saw her with wings so I wondered if she’d had an incarnation as a ruby-throated hummingbird–glamorous colors for the clothes she prefers. But I doubt she’d have wanted to be encased in such a tiny body if a chihuahua body was too small to experience again.
Rather than pink around her, I got a soft magenta.
In another session, I was trying to answer how you and she met. Maybe when she was a baby chihuahua puppy outdoors. Couldn’t focus for images.

Hi Carol, I agree, her energy was like a light show with falling stars and beams of light surrounding us with love.
I am so grateful we had that experience with her. There is a connection with the “Angel wings” and her reincarnation. You are definitely on the right trail. You are correct that a bird would be too small of a body. The Angel wings are only symbolic of who she is now. She is making a reference to the name. Right again with how we met. There was an add for puppies for sale and we arrived to the home and the puppies were outside in the back of a el Camino. Chica was the smallest one and the only chocolate colored puppy. I knew she was the one. You are doing a great job !!! -

Fantastic that she taught you that it’s about feeling the emotion that gets you there. I have tears realizing that the way we loved her enabled her to be loving and share her love with us. Today I am not very centered. She enveloped me in golden light and reminded me she is free. She can be all that I or anybody needs…. I remembered a poem that I had printed when my brother passed in 1980 at physical age 24: Do not sit by my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep…..

A few times during the week, when I thought of Chica, I asked her to tell me a joke. This was before Val’s email about animals’ sense of humor. I hadn’t prepared for a connection, so expected less than usual: the impression (multiple times; brain in a rut?) was that she sometimes hid one of her sweaters.
This morning, after a meditation, I asked her again. There was an impression of a voice–just a lovely gold and cream ribbon of a sound (what would have been a sound–synesthesia). Did she ever tease Angel? Yes, when she could fit into smaller spaces than Angel could. Did she think anything Alicia does is funny? Yes, when Alicia is drinking coffee, gets up to do something, and forgets where she’s put the cup. Does she know a joke in words? She asked me for an example, and I couldn’t think of one. Focus lost.

Hi Carol, how funny you asked Chica about jokes. One of her nicknames was Sil short for Silly. She is very funny. She woke up every morning with a smile. I hadn’t see a dog that could smile until her. We had lots of games we would play with her. She loved hide and seek, fetch, racing and running around inside the house and outside as well. She did hide her stuffed animals until we said, “get your baby”
and she would hurry and get whatever she wanted us to throw for her.These memories are so fun. Thank you for bringing up her humor. -
Well, since there’s only a week left to talk with Chica I thought I would answer the two mysteries about her so you could ask her about this if you choose.
Chica has reincarnated and she is my dog Angel. Which is why there were Angel wing references. She was giving hints.
Second mystery is how has her appearance changed now that she is in spirit. For over a year since her transition I would see her as the chihuahua I knew coming on the bed or seeing her walking around the house in spirit going on rounds as usual. Then last summer I would see her cute chihuahua self then I would see a wolf, not my totem wolf but a different looking wolf. Then I would see Chica again. I was confused and told this wolf, “I don’t know who you are but you’re not my dog, go away.” I thought the wolf was blocking my Chica from coming to me. Thankfully I had a laser session with Val a couple weeks later and asked her about this situation. Val tuned in and said Chica has been trying to tell you that she is really from the spirit of a wolf and wants to show you herself as she truly is. Chica wolf also said that she will be a guide for me in Arizona and help me on my path to grow my abilities. Chica has always been so funny and she thought it all out ahead of time. Chica knew I have a totem wolf so to tell them apart Chica presents as a smaller wolf with her same chihuahua eyes. She is hilarious and smart. I recognize her immediately. There it is. I look forward to your conversations. -

To Barbara, yes animals are in tune with the spirit world and reincarnation. They remember their past lives and Chica interacts with Angel. They remember past lives and their purpose which we don’t. They are more spiritually advanced than most humans. They are comfortable being inter dimensional beings more than we are. I am so glad you pushed beyond your doubts about what you were seeing and stayed open to learning and experienced great lessons in the process.

Wow! Alicia, I’ve just had an amazing conversation with Chica.
I asked about her experience in Spirit. She showed me an image of a place I like to walk on a beautiful day and just following the path, then looking back and realising that you’re not with her. She didn’t want to move on without you, but knew she had to. I asked how she became a spirit, not a ghost if she didn’t want to leave you and got that she had a choice to make and chose to come back to guide you. I got that sense of her huge personality again and once again got an image of a cat (which is strange as I got that last time and i know you said she has come back as another dog). I asked how she could have a physical body and still be a spirit animal and was told that a consciousness was collective – that’s why she sometimes merges with the other spirit animals. She explained that she is with her soul family and reminded me that I understood what that was. (I work with soul families when doing angelic reiki sometimes). Chica said that she loves you and when you love someone so much you don’t leave them.
I asked if there was anything she wanted to add, but my attention was drifting, so she said not now, but that I will talk to her again as she has a lot to teach me.

Melanie that was an amazing conversation. When Chica transitioned I was holding her and felt her spirit go right through my body, my solar plexus to be exact. This was the start of my spiritual journey. It was love, warmth, peace and joy all in one sensation. I feel like she gave me an incredible gift on her way to the spirit world. Then before I had a chance to grieve her she was back on the bed cuddling with me like always. Chica demonstrated that the bond of love stays intact. Her and our other dog Dixie were my first spirit sightings. When I least expected it I would see them in the house like they never left. As far as getting a cat image I used to say that Chica has a personality like a cat. She was persnickety at times and was set in her ways, hated baths more like a cat. I am pleased you picked up on that also. If you talk with her ask her if she was a cat before. Chica is amazing and I am so grateful that you communicated with her again.

Hi Alicia, when I checked in with Chica, she was sleeping on a pink cloud but opened her eyes greeting me with love. She told me she was dreaming when she was awake, and awake when she was dreaming. I asked her if she could explain more to me. She said you can sleep and you can dream, but there is a thin line. She went on to ask me to tell you that there are dreams inside you which you need to awaken. Then Chica closed her eyes and drifted off on her cloud. I felt such a sense of peace. Thank you so much for letting Chica share her love and wisdom with all of us.

Hi Jo, Chica is so amazing. The message about dreaming is twofold. I have been studying about lucid dreaming and out of body techniques which help you to time travel since that class. I don’t remember my dreams so I am setting the intention to remember more. The other dream is we just this week purchased vacant land to build a home and horse set up and where I will have my animal communication and healing future business. I believe these are the dreams she is referring to. I am so excited for this journey. I love the visual of Chica sleeping on a pink cloud, what could be more relaxing than that? She is giving us a glimpse into the spirit world and it’s fascinating. Thank you for connecting with Chica.

Hi Alicia. I tried to post this on November 30, but the system didn’t let me. Anyway, I greeted Chica, and she was happy to see me. She kissed me, too! I asked her what she’d like to talk about today. She said, “Nothing special.” She told me that she likes being in Angel’s body and that when I talk to Angel, I talk to her, too. She said she likes being in Angel’s body because now she’s in a big enough body to be around the horses, feel comfortable being around them, and enjoy that. She said she was curious when she was in her Chica body, but felt so small and was afraid. She likes having a bigger dog body now!
She said even though she’s in Angel’s dog body now, that there are some similarities in personality and in likes and dislikes. She said not everything is the same though-like the clothes Chica liked to wear. She said Angel wouldn’t like wearing clothes.
Chica said that as Chica, she loved to feel the warmth from the fire place when it was going. She also said she loved, and still does, being next to you, Alicia, while you drank something warm from a mug-coffee or hot chocolate.
Chica also said that while she’s Angel’s soul in Angel’s body, she also outside of her body and that sometimes she’s different animals. She said sometimes she’s in the form of Chica as the dog she physically was. Sometimes she’s wispy and soft and sometimes changes colors.

Martha what a sweet conversation. Chica brought up some valid points. There are similarities between the two but there are differences too. Chica and Dixie our previous dogs agreed to come back as sisters but had karma to resolve. Chica was the boss so this time Daisy is the bossy one. Chica was mostly fearless, this time Daisy is the brave one. Chica used to get jealous, now Daisy is the jealous one. Chica cuddles so close and Angel likes to be near me but not as close. Chica loved to be bundled and warm, I try to put a blanket on Angel and she gets nervous and jumps off the bed which is so funny. They’re both super funny. It’s very interesting how animals work out karma similar to humans. I didn’t know about the changing colors and the wispy energy until it was shared. Thank you Martha for a very enlightening conversation with Chica.

Hi Jo, So glad you connected with Chica again. Yes you and I are on a similar path and I love hearing about your communications with all the different species. Chica has great advice for us about not being afraid to dream big.
