We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hi, I introduced myself (Rusty) to Tina. She seems to be very warm, caring. I told her my fiancé’s name is Tina and she told me I am a very lucky man (I agree). I think she told she is a 23 year old quarter horse living in Washington state. I believe she told me she has about a 10 acre grass field. She lives with two other horses and three cats? I felt she has either a new or old injury to the right shoulder area with no open wounds, hit it on a gate? This is my first attempt to communicate with an animal and she told me to come in softer, do a little more grounding, and most of all, have patience with myself. I told Tina thank you for her time.
Thank you, Rusty

Hi Rusty, I love that she told you that you were lucky your fiancé name is Tina. Tina is 4 yrs old and we just moved from Texas to northern Arizona in the mountains. Tina lives with 3 other horses and there’s 3 cats at the stables. Good job! Tina is very spirited and she may have hit her shoulder on a gate. I absolutely love her advice for you.
You will only get better. Congratulations-

Hi Rusty, I wanted to tell you that Tina May have told you she is with 2 other horses because she is with her mom Lucy and sister Katey and Metallic is across the way from the girls. I forgot that animals are very literal with descriptions so two horses with her is correct.
You are doing great. -

Hi, I just talked to Tina. She seemed very calm, secure and sweet. I asked her to show me around and I saw her in a large stall with a turn out barn. She overlooks a grassy pasture that she stares at a lot. I only saw one other horse next to her. Thats all she showed me. It was a white horse with black spots. I also saw a black and white sheltie dog and a cat. She seemed to be very content but when I asked her if there was anything she would like to tell me she said she was bored. I asked her if she liked being busy and she said yes and she loves to run but doesn’t get a chance to do that a lot. She also loves apples (whole apples) and said she wanted more apples. I do have a question though. Do several people ride her? I couldn’t get a clear sense of her rider. I did see going on trail rides though. But felt she was very willing and agreeable to whatever the rider wanted to do. I felt she had a very sweet disposition. I had a hard time getting a clear picture of where she lived and was confused on the pasture. Does she get to go out in the pasture or does that field belong to someone else. Its across from where she is stabled. I felt very safe and content with her. Very nice horse.

Hi Kathy, you are correct that Tina is a very sweet, secure horse. She can be calm but has a fiery side. You are right she loves to run. She is in a large stall with a turnout barn. I turn her out to run in a very large arena that looks like a pasture. Also there is land across the street with pine trees that goes out to the trails she may be referring to. We are in the mountains at 7,200 ft elevation. Tina is turned out to run with our other 3 horses every day. It has snowed a lot here and they love running in it. We ride on the trails. I am the only person who rides her unless she is in cutting horse training. She hasn’t been in training for 5 months. She is high energy so I know she gets bored. Because of the weather we can’t go on the trails. I was telling her about our 5 acres we bought here that the horses will be moving to in 2 months. She will love it there because it is more peaceful and we border the national forest with all the trails. Tina doesn’t like the traffic and noise of the stables.
Thank you for saying that she is a very nice horse.
She is very special and loves to communicate.
I appreciate your time connecting with her.
You are very accurate. -

Hi Kathy, I forgot to address the apples. Tina tells people that she loves apples but what she’s referring to are apple horse treats. Apple and peppermint horse treats are her favorite. I have tried to give her apples before and she won’t eat them also carrots. I only started giving the horses treats several months ago because Tina kept talking about wanting them. She’s so funny.

Thank you Alicia for clearing up some of the visions I saw with her. I have a horse that loves the apple treats and peppermint and wouldn’t eat the real thing at first but now loves real carrots and apples. Tina does have a very secure aire about her and knows what she wants. The cows better look out. LOL I competed in team penning, cutting and sorting for over 15 years. I bet she’ll be great. She has a very determined knowing about her. Have fun with that. It’s a blast. I just bought a Foxtrotter and only trail ride now and enjoying the smoother ride with a gaited horse instead of my jiggy quarter horse. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Hi Kathy, Yes Tina is very secure and happy. Tina loves to work cows but the moving and getting settled process is the current priority. We’ll get back to cutting next year.
I have always loved trail riding. The horses love it also.
We moved to the White Mountains in Arizona and many of the riders here ride gaited horses. There are more trails here than anywhere else in the US. I am short so I like having a short horse. Luckily my horses are very smooth to ride.
We won’t ride much now with the snow which is why Tina is bored. If you talk with her again ask her about her abilities. She’s very psychic and loves teaching.
I will try apples again. -

Hi Alicia!
I thought I’d connect with my friend, Tina, again 🙂 She sent me an image of her main being pushed back from a breeze or from running. She said she likes to feel the breeze in her main and on her face.
I asked Tina what’s new today. She said she learned a new trick/challenge-something involving jumping and a toy or something like a frisbee or something.
Tina sent me an image of her legs in the back doing a motion indicating a human slipping in mud or something. She told me in the past, too, about a human slipping in mud or something. She also sent me an image of green and brown treats. They’re the peppermint ones. She loves them. Perhaps the green is just to indicate peppermint. She sent me the smell of peppermint and I could almost smell it. She also sent me a visual of her nose smelling the peppermint treats. She absolutely loves these!
Tina also said she likes it when Angel hangs out with her and they have lots of conversations. She said Angel also tells her about what life is like in the house and about your and Glenn and things that happen in the house. She said some of the things are pretty funny!
An image also came to me of her on a beach. This is from a previous life. She said she sent me the image.
Tina said she’s looking forward to the warmer weather, but not as warm as it was in Texas. She also said she wears a blanket or a horse jacket to keep her warm. She also said there is heat for her in the stables/barn.
She then went off to do something and said we’ll talk again. I thanked her for talking with me.

Hi Martha, I am sure Tina really enjoyed your conversation.
Tina has had to learn how to walk in the snow and on icy ground. We talked about being safe walking on icy ground. She is careful and doesn’t slip. I have slipped but not fallen. Now the snow is melting and it is wet and muddy which she doesn’t like. I think she laughs about Glenn slipping in the mud in the past. She is always mischievous and tries to escape from her stall. She succeeded last week and ran around very happy with herself. The peppermint treats are a brown color and she loves them. All the horses get treats daily. It’s the highlight of their day. I love her friendship with Angel. I am glad that Angel keeps her informed about what happens in the house. Tina will be moving onto our property in 6 weeks and she will see Angel every day. Tina wears a blanket at night and is always ready to have it on to stay warm. I love hearing your conversations with Tina and I know she enjoys your conversation. -

Hello, I felt drawn to communicate with Tina today. She is the first horse I’ve connected with. I’ve always connected with dogs and cats before.
Thank you for allowing her to be one of our teachers.
My impression of Tina is that she is very content, playful, nudges people with her nose, strong being, but gentle natured. She likes to go fast (race horse???), And — she would like to be able to talk like Mr. Ed! (LOL)S. Hi Tina, I am an AC student with Val Heart and Alicia. Can I talk with you?
T. A big whinny for a yes!
S. How are you?
T. I’m fine and comfy!
S. You are so pretty and shiny.
T. Thanks, my human takes good care of me. I get brushed and given healthy food.
S. That’s great Tina. Sounds like you really like your human.
T. Oh YES!
S. What is your favorite thing to do?
T. I like being in the pasture when the sun is shining.
(I’m getting the impression of a ball tethered to a rope that she plays with, and also her scratching her back on a stable wall.)
S. Oh, it sounds like you are very content.
T. Oh yes, I am!
S. What would you like to share with Alicia?
T. I love seeing her come in my direction. I know I’ll get love and attention.
S. Anything else?
(I’m seeing a front foot go up and down. She seems very content, free, and lighthearted. Also seeing her laying on her back with feet in the air, in a playful way.)
S. I love that you’re so happy.
T. Yes, humans should learn from us to be this carefree.
S. Yes, Tina, that’s great insight. Thank you for being one of our animal teachers.
T. You’re welcome. I enjoy it. -

Hi Sharon, thanks for talking with Tina. You really got her essence and her personality. She has a very strong personality and loves communicating. I know she would love to talk like Mr Ed. Lol. Tina loves to run. She is a cutting horse and has lots of energy. She also likes to ride on trails. She prefers being busy. I’m so glad she knows about her healthy food. She loves her supplements and horse treats. She loves to scratch on trees or the wall in the stall. I love what she shared about loving when I come her direction. She has her ears perked up and is waiting at the gate. She gets upset if I go to another horse first.
She loves to roll and lay on her back and kick her feet up.
Tina is very mischievous and playful. She likes to put her hoof in a bucket to get my attention or she will act like she is going to get in the wheelbarrow to get a reaction.
Tina loves the sunshine. I leave her turned out as much as possible. You really nailed it !! -

Aww, thanks so much for the feedback. She seemed to send me more visuals, than actual words. I’m so thankful for the feedback, because I was wondering about that aspect of it. Thanks for sharing her. She’s a lot of fun! Love talking with happy, vibrant beings!

Hi Alicia,
I was looking at ATH pictures, and Tina said for me to talk to her.I’connecting with Tina as I write this. She said there’s a new horse. She said the horse is black with a white star or big white area on the face. She said the horse has a 2 syllable name. I got that the horse is a race horse, but I’m not sure if the horse actually is a race horse or maybe was a race horse or if the horse is just really fast.
She said she likes this horse. I also got “Murphy”.
She also said, “Please play with me,” and said that she had been playing a game. At first I got that she was playing with horse shoes. Then she said she was playing with, what I think is, a tether ball. She said she likes when you play with her with the tether ball and she showed me an image of you playing with her with the tether ball. well, I think it’s what a tether ball is anyway!
She said she’s starting to smell the flowers now and she likes it. She said she likes to eat flowers, too!
She said she’s charming. That gave me a chuckle because we know she’s charming 🙂 I told her I know she’s charming.
Then she said, “chestnut,” and that one of the horses she sees is a chestnut colored horse.
She said she’s excited about moving to the new area and that you’ve told her all about it and how there will be birds, a mountain view, flowers, lots of open area for her to roam and play, bigger stalls and a bigger and more comfortable training area, lots of great new smells, and that you’ll like having her right outside your house so you can see her anytime!
She said she’s looking forward to having a new brother or sister. She said she’s going to be the boss! lol.
She told me I’m going to be, and already am, an excellent animal communicator, but that I need to relax and be less anxious and worry less and that everything will be okay. Sophie said the latter part, too. I’ve been worried and anxious lately.
I told Tina, “Thank you,” and put my hands on her face and she nuzzled me.

Hi Martha, what a great communication with Tina.
I think the horses she was talking about were the neighbors horses. They rode their horses over last week and one horse was blackish brown with white on the face and is a cutting horse and I am sure is fast. The other horse was mostly white. I don’t know the names but I will ask. I don’t have a tether ball but I have been thinking about getting her a ball.
Tina always wants to play. I was cleaning her pasture and she tried to climb in the wheelbarrow.
If there’s a bucket around she will step in it to get a reaction. She loves to get a reaction.
I was just telling her about the round pen we are building this week. I agree that she is Charming too. I am so glad she is happy about the baby. She had a bout of jealousy and I really had to talk to her a lot about that she will always be special and the baby won’t take her place. I did tell her I can’t wait till I can see her from the house.
Tina does give great advice. Thank you for confirming that she is in a great place mentally and physically.
