ATH conversation with Alicia H's Angel

We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hello Alicia,
Since Barb bombarded the forum with ATH animals :), I decided to start communicating with them one by one. Angel was there first so I contacted with him (he or she?).

He is such a busy guy. He was super happy that I came to talk to him but like a little kid, didn’t know what to say. 🙂 Like he has a lot of things he wants to say but didn’t know where to start. I sent him calming energy to see if he settles but all he could show me was a green/blue-ish ball that is almost as big as his height that he likes to push around. I wonder if he is a type of dog that likes to play but then get bored and move onto some other thing easily?

I didn’t quite understand how the ATH works before figuring out that I’m supposed to go to the handout for the picture. I tried to connect with Angel without any background information first and I wasn’t sure if he was a cat or horse or a dog. I sensed he seems to be a dog before seeing the picture but it was interesting to see that you have all these types of animals. I think it is because I was trying to connect them through you given I didn’t have any connection. It was interesting exercise.

As I write this message, he seems to have settled down. I wanted to connect with him one last time to say thank you. He was calmer. Is he a bit of a timid type? He’s very curious but he’s sort of shy. He wants to talk to me but he is bit shy about it so I let him know that I’ll be back so he can think of things he wants to tell me for the time being.

Well done, Chigusa! I had to laugh when I saw your note about Barb bombarding the Forum with ATH animals! Yes indeedy! Get ready, more are coming. There are almost 100 pets in the AT list with more coming as more members join us. 😀

Once the Animal Teachers page is all setup and has everyone’s pets in it (and it’s working properly), then all the “bombardment” will slow down a bit.

Hi Chigusa, you did great feeling she is a dog. Angel is 1.5 yrs old. She is very hyper but you were correct in sensing that she is shy. She warms up quickly. She is also timid initially. I am glad she warmed up to you. I can only communicate with her when she is calm. Angel still acts like a puppy. Thank you for your time with Angel. I hope you connect with her again.

Hello Alicia,
I had a chance to contact with Angel again and here’s what I got back.

She is acting like a puppy because she doesn’t know what’s the “right way” to act. She is reacting to energy around her, she seems pretty sensitive. She is modeling after you, Alicia, because I get a sense that she doesn’t have other “dog mentor” that she can learn from. I suspect that you lead a relatively busy life? She does understand the concept of “being calm” but she is struggling to understand how to be calm while doing things. Energy and body is closely tied with her.

I also get the sense her shyness also comes from the fact she doesn’t know how to handle new events or experiences.

I feel finding her a doggie friend that can teach her here would be helpful. Do you have a friend with a dog who is very calm energetically and physically? I wonder if you could have a doggie date with such a dog? I think it doesn’t have to be a dog but sense that would be more effective that way. If you do decide to act on this, you should communicate with this dog/animal indicating your intention first. Request certain things that you want Angel to learn from this animal. An animal that is willing to work with you would be the right animal for this.

She feels very calm now. Almost like it felt good to get something out of her chest. I’d be very curious to see if her attitude changes slightly?

Thank you so much for connecting with Angel again.
You are so right. Angel is very sensitive to energy.
I call her my empath. She has a sister Daisy who is very high strung and nervous. Even though she has another dog here you are right she doesn’t have a mentor since she knows her sister has separation anxiety for my husband and Angel is the calmer of the two. I take her to the stables to play with the other dogs. She is very shy at first with them. There is a puppy she likes to play with.
Its great that you got that energy and body is closely tied with her. I reassure her a lot when she experiences new things because she is so sensitive. She is a delight in my life. Thank you so much for your suggestions, I will try to find her a calm mentor. Thanks Chigusa!!

Hi Alicia,
I’m communicating with Angel as we speak. I didn’t even greet her and she came up to me so happy and excited to see me. She was wagging her tail, too! What drew me to communicate with her is because she was reaching out to me because she wants to tell me about her Thanksgiving. She’s telling me about it now. She’s saying there were lots of people all over the house and it was warm (temperature wise and energy wise from the humans). She said she smelled so many good smells and wanted to try everything (except the cranberry sauce). She said, “the pie, the turkey (and just sent me an image of turkey and sent me the smell of the turkey). She said, “the gravy, an Ah! the mashed potatoes!” She showed me an image of men relaxing after having had too much to eat. She showed me people gathered around in small groups chatting and glasses of red wine. She said she loved all the happiness, warm energy, and people being thankful. She also showed me an image of her outside in the sun and the weather being a little chilly. She sent an image of a fire burning in a fire place. She said she’s looking forward to the people having breakfast. I got something about cinnamon rolls. Earlier in our conversation she also thanked me for my other chat recently.

She also showing me an image of either a dog bed or a human long sleeved shirt that is red and black plaid flannel or red with black stripes. She also sent me an image of her jumping in the air and catching a frisbee. She said there is another dog who is company who she loves! This is a dog there for Thanksgiving and they have lots of fun together and make each other laugh. Oh, she is saying, “Bye Martha. I’m going to go play now and we’ll talk again.” I’m saying, “OK, Angel. Have fun! I love you.” Angel kissed me and then showed me an image of her from behind while going off to play.

Hi Martha, you are right about Angel enjoying every aspect of holiday food and just food in general. She loves the company of other dogs and is a good host. Angel loves getting kisses and giving them back. Angel is generous with sharing her love. Chica and her are identical in that way.
I am glad she likes animal communication because she is still young I didn’t know how chatty she would be. Her and Daisy enjoy communication with you.

Hello Alicia,
I’m trying to practice my AC and Angel jumped out at me from the all the pictures.
So at first when I introduced myself as a learner, she said that she knew about that. Sometimes a lot of people talked to her but then it stopped.
I got that she takes her job very seriously – when I asked what it was: protection of course! with the tone of voice being: what else would it be?
She likes to go sniffing around when you are out and about doing things.I got impressions of yards, or brown earth, straw, stables. She says she has a lot of space and likes that. It means she has a lot of dog business to attend to. When I asked her what it was she said: finding out what was going on in the world and just keeping a check on things. Same tone of voice: like this was obvious.
I got the impression she prefers red meat.
Her personality is very maternal – but not in the sense of comfy momma, in the sense of protecting her family and a strong feminine wisdom and energy. Very curious and engaged. She really likes life. She gave me a tip: be more engaged and give life more of a chance to talk to you. And immediately I felt my posture change from a little slumped to more alert.

Everything you received from Angel was exactly correct and how she is. You completely captured her essence. She is great in all the areas that she described to you. We live on 5 acres and she loves running around on the property. She is big on smells, you nailed it!!
