We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

3/23/19: Hello Elizabeth. I heard “people think i’m mean sometimes but I am just a kitty.” I saw an image of a pool and and felt feelings of money and flow being shown to me. I wrote down “needles of love,” not sure what I meant. I got an image of a sewer, not sure why. I got the idea that you are in California, first thought was Sacramento. I think I read just now that you are in Sherman Oaks, CA. I saw a funny image of Daphne jumping up and then standing on hind legs to try and see movement through a series of holes that she can see through? I feel that she is shy and fierce. She says she loves other kitty and that her love is strong and that she is in power. I see an image of her standing by a deep stone pool. She says “cleanse your image (reflection upon gazing in pool) and let your wisdom shine.” I got the words No Drama Daphne. I felt a grandmother energy as well as a strong and happy mother energy. and she asked me what I was mothering in others and myself I felt a strong lunar energy. She says her nurturing is sometimes fierce, but not usually necessary. I saw an image of light like the moon reflecting in the pool of water. The water, emotions, she says, “make me see, inspire, encourage beauty.”

First, thank you for connecting with Daphne. She is a rescue that we’ve had about 2 years now. She was very fearful at first but has grown to be quite loving over time. I think the “shy and fierce” does suit her because she can definitely fight back. She does like to meet people when they come over now but possibly not in the beginning.
Yes, we do have a pool and she is often out there with or without me. Was the “cleansing your image” directed at you? About our other cat,Frankie – she definitely tries to befriend him but he will have none of it. Although, often I find them laying near each other outside and sometimes inside.It’s lovely what you said about the lunar energy which is indeed nurturing. Was she talking to you about your nurturing energy.

Hello Elizabeth and kitties. Daphne’s question about “what are you mothering?” was to me, however, it also felt very collective, like what Daphne can teach us all, especially women. The nurturing and fierceness was Daphne referring to herself. Though I feel it reflects all women too! I tuned in with Daphne briefly last night and asked her about the pool again. She says, “I feel the coolness of it. I don’t get in. I enjoy the feeling of the water waving in the wind and when butterflies land on it.” I saw an image of a minor scratch/bit of blood on one of her front paws. I visualized and invited in green light energy to her paw and saw an image of thorn being removed. Not sure if this was a metaphor or an actuality. I then heard her say “I am queen.” And I bowed to her and said goodnight.

Hi Elizabeth,
I was looking through the pictures of the Animal Teachers and when I saw Daphne’s she said, “Frankie is so mean,” and wanted to tell me all about that.
So, I’m going to talk to her now:
She said Frankie swats at her and bullies her and doesn’t share spaces (like kitty beds and such). She said he eats her food, too.She asked me if I could talk to Frankie and if you could, too, about these things. I told her I think it’d be best for me to wait for your (Elizabeth) confirmation about these things and permission to talk to Frankie about them.
She said sometimes she gets a little “crotchety”, but it’s just because of Frankie mostly and sometimes she feels a little stiff in her body. She said you know about this and work on her for this.
I asked her about her home. She said there’s lots of white and there are crystals. She sent me an image of either a big crystal, stone, or piece of Himalayan salt.
I got a sense that it’s very airy where you live. She said there’s nice carpet and tile. She showed me an image from upstairs where there’s a wooden beam(s) and windows up high or sky lights or something to let light in.
She said she loves “alone time” with you when you talk to her verbally and telepathically. If I remember correctly, I saw that you’re from England originally. I could hear your accent when you say her name-maybe I was hearing you say her name through her.
She said you went on a trip recently and she she wasn’t thrilled about that, but she was okay. She was very welcoming when you came back, but other times she has been stand offish and given you the silent treatment for a bit.
She was I think moving around while we were talking and then she showed me an image of her rubbing around your legs (she said she’s in the kitchen with tile floor) and in the image she has her tail in the air. She’s in a friendly, happy, loving, and warm mood right now. She’s hoping for some chicken she said. She says it’s breakfast time and she is going to eat and will talk to me another time. I told her to enjoy her breakfast. She said, “Thank you.” I gave her a pet on the head and she purred. Then she smiled and purred again.

Hi dear Martha:
Frankie does swat at her. I think he is jealous. He does not like her to invade his space at all. However, Daphne has a big appetite (maybe because she was a rescue) and will eat Frankie’s food. She will do it when he abandons it of course but sometimes will try when he’s nearby and he won’t stand for that! You can certainly talk to Frankie but it’s Daphne that overeats!I do have lots of crystals (especially in my office on the desk) and a few scattered around the house. Daphne was frightened of things for about the first year after we brought her home from the rescue. She is now a totally different cat – like you said, very loving, warm and likes to snuggle next to us as we relax at night. She does rub against my legs often and definitely likes to be petted. Our house has wood floors everyone but carpets on top – only tile in the bathrooms. She does lay upon the tile in the bathroom waiting for me to give her some oil. Yes, I do try to communicate with her but will do so now more regularly. She is doing very well! Thank you so much
I am not English in this lifetime but have lived in London for a short time. I definitely was English in another lifetime and feel a great affinity with England.

Well, I am a very spiritual soul. I communicate with spirit regularly and am a healer. I know that I have been a Shaman and certainly that goes with everything that I have done for a long time.Yes, it will be lovely to meet with you sometime soon. We’ll have to pick a weekend and meet for a coffee drink or some lunch.
Thank you so much for connecting with my kitties. We just got a new girl dog, doberman, and we named her Delilah – Lilah for short. She is about one year and was never socialized so is very fearful. We’ve only had her for 3 days now but she is growing in confidence. I don’t think she has ever lived indoors so there is quite an adjustment.
If you find the time to connect with her that would be lovely. Red doberman, Lilah!

Sorry for the late reply. I didn’t know you had responded.How is everything going with Lilah?
I was scrolling through animal teacher pictures and when I got to Daphne’s she said, “How come nobody talks to me?” So, I thought I would talk with her.
I’m connecting as I write this:
I asked her how she is. She said she’s good but bored. I asked her why she’s bored. She’s saying, “Not enough to do,” and that the dog gets most of the attention. She also said the dog does things but sometimes she gets blamed. She said Frankie is mean to her. She said sometimes she hides from Frankie and from chaos caused by the dog.She says, “enough about that.” She wants to talk about things she likes. She says she likes silky things and is showing me an image of rolling and rubbing on something silky like a night gown. I’m getting it’s yours and smells like you and that’s another reason why she likes it. “It smells like Mom. My mommy.”
She said she like soft things, too, and is showing me an image of a soft tan blanket. I have seen the kind of material it is. I’m not sure what it’s called. It might be called microfiber. Anyway, it’s very soft and she loves to snuggle up in it and could, “Spend all day there if I didn’t have to go to the bathroom, eat, and drink”. She said you by her side would be purrrrrfect!
She loves to purr. She loves to get on your chest or in your lap and get petted and purr and she lets you know how content she is by closing her eyes slowly or half way. She said sometimes she even smiles for you.
She said you like hot tea in the mornings.
She said she is going to go bathe in the crystals’ energies and wished me a wonderful weekend. I wished her a wonderful weekend and a spiritual and blessed time while bathing in the energies of the crystals. She thanked me and I thanked her for talking with me and told her I hope things get better with Lilah and Frankie. She said they will and Mom will make it better. She said they’re getting better already and I got that she smiled. I petted her head and rubbed under her chin and she sent me an image of her smiling. Then she said, “Ta, ta!” and poof-she went to go be with the crystals-smile.
