We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hello, I felt drawn to tiger because he looks just like a cat that I had, named Minnie.

My impressions are that he is intent, very pretty, cautious, and inquisitive.

S: Hi Tiger. I’m Sharon, an AC in the Val Heart program, can I talk with you?
      T: Oh yes, sure can.
      S: How are you?
      T: I’m honky dory!
S: Sounds like you like to have fun.
      T:Yes, I do. I’m a trickster.
S: How are you a trickster?
T: I play hide and go seek with my human.
S: You are so pretty, you remind me of a cat I had once named Minnie.
T: Oh, Minnie loved you! (Wow, how neat is that to hear!)
S: Thank you for sharing that with me. What do you like to do with your day?
T: Sleep, snuggle, eat and play!
S: Who do you snuggle with?
T: My human and the other kitty.
S: Is there anything you would like to share with me?
T: Just that I love my human!!!
      S: Anything else?
T: I like to roam around and have my freedom. I can go anywhere in the house I please. I like to check things out before I wonder around though.
      S: Why is that?
T: It’s just who I am, can’t be too cautious you know! (LOL)
(At this point I’m seeing him standing on the floor, watching out a living room window, watching birds, and also playing peek-a-boo around a corner.)
S: Thank you so much for talking with me Tiger.
T: Oh, you’re welcome! Talk to you later!

      Hi Sharon

Thank you so much for connecting with Tiger! I bet Tiger loved the attention. He was a FAT almost a year ago. When we have the monthly calls, Tiger is always with me.

Everything you mentioned is correct. This is our sweet Tiger.
He loves to snuggle with me especially in the morning while I am still in bed and he loves to snuggle and groom his best body Bungee. They often sleep and play together. They love the hide and seek game and attack. I love watching this. I sometimes look for him and when I find him and touch him, he loves that. Just want to make sure he is still in the house. Tiger likes to be independent and do as he pleases. He follows me around and needs to know of what is going on in the house. He is a free spirit. Both cats love to watch the wild life in our back yard or front yard.

Tiger looks just like my first cat Sherra.

Sorry for the loss of Minnie.

      Thanks again.

Manuela. Thank you so, so much for the feedback. I’m fairly new at this, and this truly helps with my confidence level!! This is so reassuring. Wow, I’m so glad he was so willing to talk with me. Thanks for allowing him to be one of our animal friends that we can communicate with. Have a great day!

last night 2/25/19 communication practice: Hello manuela. My first impression of Tiger was that he is not shy and that he is a mostly mellow (with feisty moments) and happy Tiger. I saw an image of him with a pretty crown. I got that he doesn’t like to move off a certain area for guests to sit down? and that most of the time, he does not go the door to greet people coming in. I saw an image of him being lifted with his blanket underneath or wrapped around him. He said he has a red toy. He said he loves to kill mice. I saw an image of him chewing on something that looked something like a leftover coconut or pineapple core. He said he loves the outdoor patio. I see him rolling on his back in a playful way. I saw an image of him sitting at someone’s feet (your daughter?) under a table, at a meal. He said he wanted to eat a chicken drumstick almost like he was watching it in the kitchen. He mentioned wanting leftover wet food in the fridge. I saw an image of a blue room, either a kid’s room or computer room, with a blue light, and with images of fish and fish skeletons, almost like an aquarium!? He says he loves family time and watching birds move. He says he loathes going to the vet, being in the car, and too much noise. He said he was afraid of losing his family suddenly. Beautiful happy kitty he is.

      hi Angela,
Thank you so much for connecting with Tiger. You are right one with his personality. He behaves like a king, sitting or sleeping on a folded blanket on each bed and couch. The other cat has never tried to be on his ‘throne’. Tiger only it’s certain wet food, no drumsticks or anything that looks like real food. I wish he would so we could switch to raw food. Tiger is not an outside cat and therefore he had no chance of catching a mice. We have a blue room which is my massage and healing room. The only blue light we have is a yoga figure that lights up with different colors, one being blue. The outdoor patio could be the back porch where our two feral cats have a heated cat house with a food station. We do have a lot of birds in the backyard. Tiger sure loathes goint to the vet or being in a car and loud noises. Could you please ask Tiger why he was afraid to losing his family suddenly. I am curious what he will say. No worries he will not unless he is physic and knows more. Thanks again for connection with him.

I sure will. My question to him had been what he was afraid of and he said losing his family suddenly. So it didn’t feel like an active fear he had, but just the worst thing he could think of when I asked the question.

Hi Manuela I reconnected with Tiger yesterday and asked about any fear of losing family. He says he is not afraid and that he just likes his life and has so much love to give and that he doesn’t want to give it up and be without his family. He said that he feels seen and recognized and knows that the world is full of turmoil and that he’s grateful for his life. He also said that he is not worried really and knows that he is more than able to face the world no matter what. I saw an image of a big goose? and oddly, the goose had big puffy earmuffs on. feels silly, but writing it anyway 😉

      Hi Angela

Thank you so much for connecting with Tiger. Reading of what you wrote got me to tears and feeling happiness. I often give my cats attention and give them a feeling to be seen and recognized, so it works. Happy to know that he feels strong and confident.
I love your goose. They pass our house often and we can hear them. :))

Thanks again with a big smile on my face.

3/29/19: I said to Tiger, “I connected with Bungee yesterday I bet you knew.” He said, “I didn’t, that’s awesome.” Where are you playing Tiger? “up the wall down the hallway in her room.” What are you eating today? “Steak tartar.” Wow Tiger, is this canned food of some sort, fancy feast or something? “Not sure,” tiger says. I heard the word Jupiter. I asked when his birthday was. I didn’t get an answer. You are a lucky kitty Tiger, guessing that maybe that is what Jupiter meant. Tiger says, “Im having lots of fun lately watching everything and some visits to house … my girl’s people. And you like the peeps Tiger? “Yeah cool cats,” Tiger says. What is your mission my Tiger? “To roar and scream and prowl in the dark…around the corners…and singing like a lark…I am very musical and feel this music deep in my skin.” Have you always been a cat Tiger? “I have always been me, a cool cat, but I have been lots of other animals.” Human? “Yes many times.” Have you been an opossum? Tiger started talking about soul kin, and different kind of groupings of souls, and how soul kin were coming together at this time. Awesome so psyched to be a part of it Tiger, I said. I see tiger blowing a birthday noise maker. “Life is a party,” Tiger says. Yes it is tiger. Do you get bored? “Absolutely NO.” I say goodnight sweety. I see and image of stars, then Dinosaurs. I feel like I am seeing a glimpse into dream time, Tiger. Tiger says, I was a field mouse those years long long ago. I said, awesome Tiger, sweet dreams my ancient one. Tiger says remember to “value the mystery in such things that can’t truly ever be known.”

      Hi Manuala,
Thanks for offering Tiger as an animal teacher.
Almost right away when looking at Tiger’s picture, I got a sense that most of the time he’s patient, but there are times when he simply doesn’t put up with annoyances.

I introduced myself and told him I’m studying animal communication. He said that it’s very important. He said animals can teach a lot and know a lot. He said animals know things humans don’t know. He said animals can also guide us. He said animals can help humans get along better and heal.

He said in regards to my healing (anxiety and things) to, “Let it be.” “Don’t worry.” “Get to things when you get to them. They’ll get done at the right time.” “Just be and breathe.”

In terms of his personal life, he said life is great. He said he doesn’t play much with toys, but sometimes he likes to rough house. He said he loves to explore and sometimes brings you back gifts to take care of you and to thank you for taking care of him.

He said he likes to paw at the water stream from the sink when the faucet is on and sent me an image of his paw pawwing at the stream.

He said there’s a fountain he drinks from.

He said he loves to smell flowers and that there are flowers in the back yard he goes in.

He said he has a kitty hammock and that he loves the bed. He said there is a red comforter or blanket.

An image of a fireplace with brick around it came to me.

He said he loves to eat and loves treats (crunchy treats). He said he loves chicken, too.

He asked me why humans worry so much. I told him one reason is because humans have a lot of responsibilities. He said, “Oh. Okay,” and that he was going to try to help you not worry so much through giving you good energy and comforting and calming you. He said you don’t usually worry a lot, but have been a little lately.

I asked him what else he’d like to talk about. He said his outside adventures. He said he loves to explore and mark and sometimes goes on the roof and hangs out there. He said he enjoys talking with the birds, but doesn’t harm them. I also got that there’s a bird bath and he likes to drink from it.

He said he likes to roll in the grass and sent an image of him doing that. He said he likes the smell and how it makes him smell and that it also feels good to roll in the grass.

He also said that we humans need to appreciate life, all souls, and the time we have with them (especially the animals-and sent me an image of his face smiling).

He said you’re warm (energy wise) and smile a lot. He said you’re comforting and he loves special attention time with you when you rub him or play with him or simply talk to him. Being on the couch with you getting rubbed or petted is one of his favorites. That or lying next to you on the bed getting rubbed or petted.

He said that was about it for now and that he’d talk to me later-anytime I can talk to him. I thanked him for talking with me. He said, “You got it!” I wished him a wonderful weekend and he thanked me and wished me the same.
