ModeratorWe are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Gold MemberI am having trouble connecting to my own animals and need help as soon as possible with Cinch. It has been suggested to post to Facebook so I will put this there as well.
Cinch is not feeling well. Started about a month and a half ago when he left the property for several hours. We live in a very remote area and back to the forest. He does this frequently, but always comes back so we don’t stress too much when he leaves to go visiting all the neighboring properties.
Cinch has now been to the vet and they say he has heart failure. They want to put him down and sent him home with no medications.Since about a month ago he has what we call a jelly belly. Looks swollen but not hard (he is retaining fluids). Eats ok some days and other days just doesn’t feel like eating. I don’t get that it is parasites. But has also had very low energy since that day. He has had no interest in leaving on his walk-abouts or playing with the livestock.
He was eliminating okay and no signs of parasites in the stool. But now is becoming impacted.
He is almost 12 years old and does have a little stiffness sometimes but is starting to lose muscle control. But before this day that he was gone for a while was very energetic and would run and play for hours with the cows or bison and aggravate the pigs.
If it is truly heart failure it came on very suddenly the day that he was gone for a while. They did not due any major tests because of his systems and listening to his heart they were sure it was heart failure.
If anyone can communicate with him, please see if he feels it is his time. See if there is anything he feels we can do that would help him. He doesn’t seem to be in much pain. Looks like there is a little discomfort sometimes.
Thanks and many blessings,
Mary -

Gold MemberThanks for the suggestion. It was suggested I put it on Facebook also. I did so. No response from anyone yet except Val asking if anyone wanted to help.
