Gold MemberThis is the detox bath I promised on the q&a call. Sorry it h as taken so long.
1. Set your intention. This bath isn’t just clean the hair, but to open the pores and gently release toxins.
2. Prepare the rinse: 1/4 cup organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. 1 gallon warm water. (Double or triple the recipe for large and giant breed dogs). Make sure water is filtered to remove chemicals. Set rinse aside.3. Use a coconut based shampoo or organic neutral shampoo with no scent. In a separate bottle, mix shampoo 50/50 with water to make it easier to spread out, lather and rinse.
4. Thoroughly wet your dog and massage in shampoo. Remember, this isn’t a car wash! Enjoy the moment with your dog and make sure to lather up everywhere.
5. Rinse your dog thoroughly.
6. Gently pour apple cider vinegar rinse (avoiding eyes, ears and nose), massaging it all over the body and legs. DO NOT rinse off! Towel dry. Warning…your dog may smell a bit like a salad until he dries. 🙂

Inactive MemberSounds like that is a great cleanse for pooches. Does the strong smell of vinegar bother some?
Pam, Pammie, Pammie Jean, Pamela.... you can call me any of these names.

Gold MemberNot to my knowledge. I use apple cider vinegar half and half with water for a flea and tick deterrent. Doesn’t bother my dogs. Also great for keeping mosquitos away. I have sprayed my own arm and watched them hover but never light. Supposedly you only need to do this 2x a week but when I use it on the dogs I do it every day. (the spray)
