When you practice communicating, how you go about it can help or hinder your results.

It all depends on whether you’re practicing correctly, or not.

How do you know when you practice communicating with animals if you are doing it right?

Check your results.

You’re either improving and becoming more confident, accurate, and competent, enjoying having your communications validated and confirmed by the animal’s person…

Or you aren’t getting the answers or results you want, meaning you’re making mistakes.

Because it’s true that JUST practicing doesn’t necessarily help you to improve.

You could be practicing the wrong things, or not practicing properly, making huge – or small – mistakes, blunders, missteps along the way.

And if you’re trying to practice with your own pets where you cannot get the clarity or validation you need to know if you’re doing it right or not?

Yea, that doesn’t work either, especially as a beginning student.

Here’s an example of practicing in the wrong way…

Sometimes when I would ride my Russian Arabian horse, Taylor, we would “practice” a movement, like picking up a left canter lead… and to my utter dismay and frustration, he would pick up the wrong lead every time.

We kept practicing, over and over and over, getting the wrong lead every time.

When we discussed (communicated) about what was going wrong, he told me what the problem was.

I would never have guessed it on my own.

He told me I wasn’t clear in my communication as to what I wanted him to do.

My body was actually doing something I hadn’t intended, and I was completely unaware of what I was doing physically.

Until he brought it to my attention, and then the lightbulb came on!

So all those hours riding, practicing, and feeling frustrated…

It was NOT effective practice because I was teaching myself how to do the wrong things!

The right way to practice so we could improve, was to slow way down.

Connect at the heart and mind, get super clear about what you want to communicate about, and what you want to happen as a result.

Use all your intuitive senses (like I teach in the Heart Wisdom Methods in the Heart School of Animal Communication® courses and coaching club).

SEE it, FEEL it, EMBODY it.

Then, Visualize what you want to happen slowly enough that you aren’t making mistakes in the first place. Like watching a YouTube video on slow motion in your mind’s eye monitor.

In my situation with Taylor, the next step once I was crystal clear about what I wanted us to do, was to discuss it with him so we were both clear.

And then follow through with doing the movement physically.

In that way, my brain and body would never have a chance to create the pathway that led to the mistake – let alone reinforce it.

Like magic, Taylor picked up the correct lead and we went on to become better, more in-sync partners, having a lot more fun, enjoying doing things together.

How about another example…

I read a book once about the art of practicing golf – how a golfer could go to the golf course every day and swing 1,000 times and that still wouldn’t be true/effective practice if he/she swung with improper form each time.

All that would do is ingrain the ineffective/incorrect habits and teach the golfer how to do a better job of swinging improperly.

Truly effective practice is both designed and supervised by an expert.

A trusted expert and master teacher can identify exactly what you need to practice (things that are specific to you and the way you do the “thing”, whatever it is) so you experience your breakthrough.

They can supervise you to make sure your practice is developing the right intuitive skills that make you more competent, confident, and proficient, and so you are not glossing over important bits, or making mistakes or blunders along the way.

What does practicing your golf swing properly have to do with improving your animal communication practice to get better results?

When you train with an expert golf coach, they can correct you IMMEDIATELY if something is off, so you don’t further ingrain bad habits.

And no, you don’t have to play golf to become a competent animal communicator! (it’s just an analogy, go with it… 😉 )

What are the most common mistakes animal communicators make when they practice communicating?

When I coach students in our Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club Live Q&A Calls, I can very quickly identify the main areas that are tripping them up with their practice.

For some it’s that they aren’t connecting with the animal properly in the first place, and then the animal can’t hear them, much less respond as hoped.

For others, they get lost in translation… so when the animal responds with an image, and they didn’t have their clairvoyant mental monitor switched ON, they miss the message entirely.

Or perhaps the animal shares their feelings via clairsentience, but the student can’t feel anything because they are shut off and closed to their own emotions, not having done their inner healing work to be open enough to receive what their pet is sending them.

For others, they forget to ask questions so the animal hasn’t got a clue what they wanted to talk about, and after awhile, they get bored and go find something else to do.

And for others, they ask the wrong question in the wrong way or timing, things the animal doesn’t want to talk about (yet)… and they feel blocked, walled off, shut out.

And they don’t know what to do after that.

There are a million other possibilities.

I won’t know exactly what you’re doing wrong until I work with you.
