TuffyTiger Taught Me How to Purr – It Was Magical

My Cat TuffyTiger Taught Me How To Purr

Have you ever wondered, “If only animals could talk… boy, the things they could tell us!”

Well they do talk, and yes, the things they tell us are fascinating.

People often ask me what animals are telling me as a professional animal communicator, sometimes eagerly, and sometimes with trepidation…

If you’ve learned to communicate with animals already, then you know there are ways to tap into their wisdom as a source of knowledge and understanding.

And once you open an intuitive heart channel, communication and healing of both body, mind and spirit can flow both ways.

Here’s one of the many things I learned from my cat, TuffyTiger.

Learning how to ‘purr’ teaches you how to work with energy, bless your space, heal, and stay grounded

Have you ever wondered how cats purr?

Science and research haven’t got a clue how they actually do it.

They know what exact frequencies cats purr at, and how beneficial those frequencies are for healing.

In fact, there are medical devices available now that use those same frequencies to accelerate healing, like for broken bones, which they learned from cats.

But they don’t know HOW cats purr. Fascinating.

So I was naturally curious…I wanted to dive into a pleasure principle that my cat – TuffyTiger – seemed to enjoy and was so good at.

We started by communicating, heart to heart, mind to mind, like I teach in The Heart School of Animal Communication® .

Then, I asked if she wanted to tell me anything. What was on her mind?  Anything worrying her, or that she thought I should know?

TuffyTiger replied:

Why do humans struggle so?

You are scary with all your tensions, upsets, and illusions…your rush-rush and hurry-hurry energy is so weird and unnatural and unhealthy.

Slow down.

Reconnect with all of life, be centered and grounded.

Spend some time each day purring.

It is good for you and the space around you.

Show affection to those you love and care about.

Take time to play games with them, to explore and connect in a lighthearted way.

Remember to feel the life energies all around you and be at peace.

I thanked her for her profound insight and wisdom, and considered how I could apply her gentle suggestions to improve my life.

After a bit, I noticed that she was purring…

I asked her, “I don’t understand purring…will you teach me how?”

She slow blinked at me…

As we know, when a cat trusts you enough to give you a slow-blink, it’s a true sign of affection and communication.

Then my brilliant Teacher disguised as a tabby cat instructed me to get quiet and lay beside her stretched out on the bed. And so I did.

“Pay attention and follow along, doing exactly what I am doing...” and she demonstrated purring loudly for me.

Learning how to purr is about learning how to be still, flow and focus

TuffyTiger and I quietly lay side by side, her intense, beautiful green eyes mostly closed.

She said,

Breathe with me, like this…and send energy through your body like this…

What she taught me next was mind-blowing!

She showed me how she opened and closed the energetic and physical gateways in her body, flowing energy with force through the channels inside, until the vibrations were so strong her body hummed and her purr could be felt, the sound heard clearly across the room.

I did my best to imitate her and kept working at it until she said I was starting to get it…

But she said that I should keep practicing… So apparently I made a good start on it that day, and not surprisingly, I still have much to learn about purring.

I have to say, purring felt amazing!

I could feel my body shift, my mind go quiet, and my focus expand. My energy improved, my fatigue dropped away, I felt renewed.

How exhilarating!

By that time we were so connected at the heart and mind and body that I could sense and hear slight noises that before only she could hear with her exquisite ears.

And we both reacted at the exact same time and in the same exact way.

It was so funny!

As I processed what had just happened, I glanced at her the same time she glanced back at me and we smiled at each other.  It felt like we were bonded at the soul level, one spirit, one mind.

Many times since then, I have been reminded of her words, gentle guidance, and wisdom.

And when I’m gifted with the presence of a purring kitty, I quickly tune in and connect with them, allowing the powerful healing energies to go deep and wide into my body.

Take time to listen and talk with an animal today…to understand their viewpoints.

Be kind.

Be compassionate.

And most of all, use your big heart and keep loving animals.

Pets are often mistaken for creatures that answer only to their stomachs and their instincts. But they’re actually complex, highly intelligent beings with thoughts, feelings, memories, insights, and observations to share.

Consider this: cats only meow at humans, not at other cats. They try to talk to us, and feel sad and frustrated when we don’t understand their messages.

They’ll purr when they’re in pain to self-soothe and help heal their own bodies, and to bless their space and share their love with others.

Dogs don’t always bark to sound an alarm. Sometimes, it’s a joyful greeting, or a questioning, or they are calling for help.

Horses will nibble at your arm or nudge you because it’s the only way they can make a connection with you on their terms and get your attention.

Have you ever felt that your pet is trying to tell you something?

That’s because every creature communicates and has a lot to say, for those willing to take the time to listen.

If you would like to learn the art of purring or any other means of animal communication start at The Heart School of Animal Communication® .

You’ll embark on a life changing spiritual journey with the Heart Wisdom Method.

If you need help with your pet or healing, go here to find out more… and your pet may heal you in the process.

Make the rest of your life the best of your life. ~ Dr. Eric Thomas
