We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Sunny is a beautiful soul. Has a very peaceful, placid and wise side, and a very playful and energetic side. I was told Sunny has a favourite ball, with lots of bitty holes in it where it has been well loved and played with, its a reddy brown colour. Sunny has definitely been here before, and lots has happened in this life too. I hope some of this information I received you can take. It was really lovely to connect with your lovely Sunny, thank you 🙏🐶💜 Much Blessings, Rachael, x

Hi Rachael, thank you so much for speaking with Sunny…..you got his essence so well!

He is the youngest (age 5) of our 8 rescued strays (and one in spirit) and came here with his mother. We had adopted all of them in a public park in Delhi, but we moved from the city to a rural homestead in the hills of north India 3 years ago. They were being abused in our absence, so we brought them here.

Sunny is indeed a lovely boy, very affectionate, playful and has now settled in….he came as a very traumatized soul after being in a hostile environment, so yes, a lot happened there. He is very energetic too, running up and down barking madly at people and animals passing by, whereas when he first came, there was not a sound for days…..guess he feels safe now within our boundary. Very playful too, will tug at my clothes or anything in my hand and not let go!

The photo is of him sitting on the roof of his room…his favorite spot to keep a watch on the surroundings. We’re at a height, so the road and valley is below. He also enjoys his nap in the sun there!!

Thanks once again for connecting with him, he must have been happy and proud!
      Love and blessings

      Hi Nita,

Today I have made a connection with Sunny, such a sensitive loving dog and here is what I got:

Sunny came next to me very cheerfully. But when I asked Sunny whether we could have a conversation together, she (or he?) had a suspicious attitude and was not inclined to do so because it was not clear to her what it all was about. So I explained the situation to her and after that she was ok to chat with me.

I sensed such a loving kind dog, caring, protecting, caring. So joyful. Clairvoyant. As if Sunny was your daily sunray.

I asked for permission to pet her which she accepted. I sensed short, rough hair, a firm and warm body.
I asked her whether she was a boy or a girl. She would not answer, as if she was joking with me.

When I asked her where she lived, she showed me like a fenced playground on the left attached to a beige house, of one or two storeys of medium to small size. (This is similar to what I sensed in one of my communications with your other dogs, so I don’t know whether it is Sunny or my memory who spoke?) She can go outside there to walk, relax, play. She cannot go outside the garden.

Asking her what she preferred in the world: I sensed “eating”. I asked her whether she was fond of eating I sensed “gourmet” instead.

Asking her whether she had a play the appreciated the most she showed me a rectangular piece of wood, on which she could go (walk, play, sit?). I have not been able to sense more information about it.

Asking her what was the food she most preferred, she showed me small, brown little balls in a dish.

As our communication was weak I asked why and got the answer that she was sleeping. I apologised for disturbing her during her sleep and whether she accepted to continue the conversation till the end. She said yes, for which I thanked her a lot.

Who’s your best friend: she said Nita. Then I asked her whether among the other dogs she lived with there was one she preferred: she showed me a big brown one.

Asking her whether she would tell me more about her character, she showed me how she was hopping up and down with impatience with her front legs. You know as when they wait for you to throw a ball or something to run after and fetch it. I asked her whether she liked playing with a ball and I sensed “yes”.

Asking her whether other dogs lived with her I sensed “quite a lot”.

“Anything I can do for you”: “let me sleep” but agreed to continue with the questions.
“Anything Nita can do for you”: “more food” 🙂
“Anything Sunny can do for you”: Sunny sent huge love to you

When I asked her if she had a message for me which concerned her: I sensed she was a bit sad because of a loss. I sensed she left a friend(?) in New Delhi she was missing. It is a light coloured animal. Asked whether it was a dog: “yes”.

Ditto which concerned me: received a huge love energy wave.

Then I asked again whether she was a girl or a boy, this time she said “girl” but still cheeking me. She must have a lot of humour.

I also sensed a big sky blue aura.

Sunny is your guardian and your healer.

I petted her virtually again. It was fine to burry my face into the hair of her neck which smelled so good.

Then I ended the call as usually, sending lots of love.

      Hope it makes sense Nita
In advance thank you for your reply
      Love to all of you
      Evelyne

PS: I had not read the previous post, but now I have I see that Sunny is a boy… sorry

      Hi Evelyne,
Thanks ever so much for speaking with Sunny, you got so much from him!
His background is that we brought him and his mother Rani (who if you remember passed 4 months ago) almost 3 years ago. He was probably being naughty and pretending to be a girl, or maybe he gives that energy, being an affectionate and loving boy, like Blackie. (Do you remember that many people got feminine energy from him too as FAT)?

Sunny is indeed very joyful, and loves running and barking at anyone and anything, up and down the length of the fence! He has a big fenced in area (as do all the others, all have their own safe enclosures) and his room is also there, so he’s totally free, but unfortunately I can’t let them out of the property as there are local feral dogs, and of course leopards after dark.

Like the others, he has a room to himself, so maybe that’s what he meant by the rectangular wooden piece? I’ll send you a photo of it, as also of our house, so you can see what he meant. And yes, he loves to get into his bed at intervals and have a nap!! I’m not sure what time you spoke to him, they all go to bed early by 5 pm IST!

His fur is short and rough, unfortunately he seems to have developed a skin allergy, improving with holistic treatment.
He’s right that he lives with a lot of other dogs…I suppose the big, brown dog is Blackie…though there are two other brown (brothers) but Blackie is the biggest!

I think he feels the loss of his mother…they’ve always been together, which is why I brought him with her (I’d sent both to a good shelter in Delhi, but he could not adjust) now he’s alone, as the dogs are all hostile to each other, as even at the park where they all stayed they had territorial issues. We try to spend time with him, but with so many and all the chores, it’s not much. Rani’s room was next to his, and her grave is also there, where she loved to sit. I’d kept him with me when we were burying her, so he knows. (Today is exactly 4 months). The other dog that he showed you is probably his sister Lalee, whom he was very fond of (not so much the other siblings, who are still there) but she suddenly disappeared…I tried for 2 months to find her (you may have heard on the last call) but failed. I really feel so sorry for him, poor boy will be just 6 in October.

Sunny loves to eat….even the peel after finishing the banana! Thanks for telling me he wants more food…I’ll add more from tomorrow!

Hope I’ve covered all the points Evelyne, please feel free to to ask if I’ve missed anything, and thanks again for a great communication, as you had done with Tikli.

      Much love and blessings

      Hi Nita,

Thank you very much for having replied in detail to my message which I appreciated very much. I am always very happy and relieved to see that I got some things right and receive thorough answers from their humans.

If I am not mistaken, you are 3 1/2 hours ahead of us, so Sunny indeed had already retired for the night as we chatted around 15h Swiss time 🙂

Please send me the pictures you told me about, because they were not attached to your message.

Now I already made acquaintance with four of your “kids” as you name them, I am very touched of the love they show you. It’s a cool family!

Hope you are all well, lots of love

      Hi Evelyne,

Thanks again! Yes, they go to bed around your lunchtime!

You’ve spoken to 3 of my kids…Tikli and Sunny, and of course Blackie when he was FAT! so another 6 to go!

Attaching a photo of their rooms and our house…but with different boys in them! Hope it helps to identify what Sunny showed you.

      Love and blessings

Sorry, I don’t know how I attached the same photo twice!

      Hi Nita,

Thank you for your message and the pictures.

Yes, it corresponds to what Sunny showed me! except for the colour of the walls of your home which I sensed as beige and not as brick red with white framed windows. Interesting to know what it is in reality.

By the way you forgot Bholu to whom I spoke last February as well.

Lots of love to your kids

      Hi Evelyne.

Thanks….I’m glad you recognized what Sunny showed you….I suppose the color of the walls could look different if it was dusk or later, with our time difference.

Oh yes, I had forgotten that Bholu was the first. So that’s him on the roof1!!

My other kids are waiting for you!!

      Hope things are going well,
      Lots of love

      Hello, Nita!

I connected with Sunny and just love him. He has such a sweet energy. I got the impression that he’s cautious and a bit anxious around new people, but once he feels safe, he’s very affectionate, playful, and sensitive. He loves being loved. 🙂

He said that he hasn’t always lived with you, but that he’s grateful he does now. He loves food, but I couldn’t get a clear answer on a “favorite.”

I asked if he had a favorite sleeping spot, but I didn’t get an image of anything in the home, so I’m assuming he may sleep outdoors? I tried not to read the other responses on this post so I wouldn’t sway my answers.

That was all I was able to get for now, but I just loved his energy and was drawn to his photo. I want to hug him!

      Take care!

        Hi Erika,

Thank you so much for connecting with Sunny…you’ve got his essence perfectly! He is the sweetest, most affectionate boy!

You also got accurately that he has lived with us for the last 3 years….he turned 6 last month. He’s the youngest of my 9 rescues. Thank you for getting that he’s glad to be here…I do wonder sometimes.

Yes, he loves food, any food, including banana peels!!!

They all have secure, individual wooden rooms though outdoors, as there are leopards in the adjacent forest (we moved from Delhi to the Himalayan hills of north India).

You may want to connect with him again at some time, so I won’t say any more! Maybe he’ll show you his room, and tell you about his earlier life/where he lived and life here in general. Otherwise, if you scroll up, you will find all the information I’d posted in reply to Evelyne’s communication. Please feel free to ask for any other clarification.

You really did well Erika! And you were a great volunteer for the call, I’m sure it helped everyone as much as it helped me, thanks!

Love and thanks from Sunny and me!
