Accountability Rewards Update

In the August Q&A Call, I announced the new Platinum Masterclass & Mastery membership level in the Club along with some important changes and updates that affect Gold and Platinum members. This is an update to the Accountability Game and Rewards:

During the call I shared with you how challenging it’s becoming to fulfill all the student accountability laser coaching private sessions because of the impact to my private client schedule. When my schedule is too full with student sessions, I don’t have much room (or none left) to work with high paying private clients. Ugh. That’s not a sustainable business model, which means I can’t grow the Club membership beyond a certain point, and I won’t be able to keep the doors open doing that either.

I’ve agonized over how to make this work for all of us going forward, and in the Q&A Call I said that anyone with 6 weeks of accountability on the books could continue on to fulfill 12 weeks and that they would still get their private session with me as the reward. After that, they would receive the Breakthrough Group Coaching Calls as their reward.

And I also announced that if a student was already playing the accountability game and had less than 6 weeks logged, that they should continue to fulfill 12 weeks and they would get the new Student Breakthrough Group Coaching Call with me.

Well, there’s been confusion and questions and a bit of dismay… very understandable. I get it. In trying to make the changes we need to make in order to grow, I inadvertently took away a key incentive for you. I apologize.

So… I’ve continued to noodle on how to make this right and figure out how to make it work for all the students and for me too, and today Barb and I discussed a new idea I have that I think will help.

Here’s what we decided:

If you are playing the Accountability Game and have logged more than 1 week, then your reward for completing 12 weeks in a row will be the original promise of getting a private Laser Coaching session with me.

For anyone just starting the Accountability Game, your reward will be the Student Breakthrough Laser Coaching Group Call with me.

So, if you’re playing already then keep going and you’ll get a private session with me.

If you’re just starting to play, then keep going and you’ll get the new Breakthrough group call with me.

Either way you play, you’ll win-win-win! You’ll win by staying accountable to your own journey toward mastering animal communication. You’ll win by being more present with the animals every week and by sharing your celebrations, frustrations and learning with all of us. And you’ll win by receiving either a private laser session OR the Breakthrough group call with me.

I hope that’s clear and feels better. It does to me. It’s always my intention to take the best possible care of you and to encourage you along your path.

Are you still noodling on the number of people in the Breakthrough Group Call? I still see people being left out of access to you or you having to cut them short if there are more than 2 people on the calls, if the calls are 1 hour long. That doesn’t feel good to me. I signed up to give it a try. If it doesn’t work, I’ll have to try something else. Right now I feel the need to have access to someone with your talents until my talents become activated. I hope you understand. Your last conversation with Cooper was priceless to me! I would have been pretty lost and struggling to know the right thing to do for him without it.

Hi Patty, I understand and appreciate you sharing that with me. Let’s see how many students attend the Breakthrough Group Calls. The Calls themselves may be longer than just an hour, depending on how many show up. Remember you are always welcome to get private sessions with me outside of the Accountability Game. I offer indepth student coaching, mentoring and more for those who want that. I normally charge $275 for 30 minutes and if you think about it, you’re paying a fraction of that in Gold membership dues so it’s always been more of a gift to the students of my time.

Here’s an idea: What if instead of working to earn a laser session with me, you worked toward earning points to cash in at The Heart School Store which would be the reward instead? You could apply your points toward a course OR a private session(s) with me. We’d have to adjust the points system of course to allow for it, and of course would post the details so you can know what you’re working for and know how/when to cash them in.

Would that be a better plan than working toward a student Breakthrough Group Coaching Call?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Val,

I would love to do private sessions with you, unfortunately my budget
won’t allow it right now. That’s why the membership lazer sessions with
you were such an incentive to me, as they were to all of us, I’m sure.

I like the idea of earning points towards the school, though I’m not sure
how that would be different than what we had before (?). I just have this gut
feeling that as the membership grows, the group calls are going to cut
people out or shorten them on time they need with you. I’ve been wrong
before, but I keep hearing to go with my gut feelings. I’m glad you thought
of this, I wasn’t even aware that was an option. What else are you hiding
on that new website?! 😉 I’ll have to go check out the school.

The house is so quiet and empty since Cooper left (a week ago today almost).
I’ve scheduled my lazer session with you in September. Do you need me to fill
out the questionnaires for you again? I would like to connect with Cooper in
spirit and see how he’s doing? I will if you want me to, but they take a while
to fill out.

Could you tell me more about the points, the store, and what we can cash points in on-what prizes there are? This sounds meowy exciting! Imagine if I could do the group laser sessions and earn prizes and cash them in at the store in addition to the private sessions I have with you and the one I will earn soon!!! I’d really like it if I could earn points and cash them in at the store for free private sessions with you! Is there a tab for the store showing the prizes? Exciting!

Great questions. I apologize for not having that done for everyone yet. All that is on my to do list. It IS exciting! I have plans for more fun goodies too, just need a bit more time to actually do it. We have some of this sketched out, but not everything yet. Hang on, okay? Your eagerness makes me excited too!

I am wondering when the group calls will be offered. I teach Reiki workshops on weekends. I have been scheduling around the 2nd Saturday and now need to schedule around the 3rd Saturday as well. Actually, I already have a workshop the 3rd weekend this month so will not be live on the first Platinum call. I also avoid holiday weekends so frankly I tend to run out of weekends. If the group calls are on Saturdays I may not be able to make them.

And I don’t know anything about these points. That was a new idea to me.

It will be interesting to see how this all works out.

It’s really difficult for me to pinpoint a certain time, as my weekdays are always subject to change, sometimes with very little notice. The only day I can think of that would work for me most consistently would be Friday, between noon and 3pm Central time.

I just earned a private session, so it would be 12 weeks before I could earn one of the new group sessions. In fact, I don’t see how anyone could earn one by November since it will take time for anyone to do so.

How will this call differ from the Gold call like today? Is there value in yet another group call? I’m not at all sure there is.

I do understand that the individual sessions were taking too much of your time now that so many are playing. But I don’t really see the value of another group call.

As for when, please don’t tie up another Saturday. My suggestion would be in the afternoon of the day of the Gold call since that day is tied up already.

I agree with Margaret about possibly having the breakthrough calls on a Saturday, maybe just before or just after a Q&A or Platinum Call. I’m based in the UK, so those calls are at 4:30pm for me. If you were to do them in the evenings in your time zone I wouldn’t be able to attend. I’m not sure how that would work for other time zones.

The option to connect the call with a Gold call would work for me as well. For me the Gold call starts at 6:30 pm.

But I am also still interested in learning more about the point system you are thinking about. Earning points towards a private session would be brilliant, although I would expect to earn only 1 session a year or so. Otherwise your would end up in the same situation of being overloaded with student calls again.

Two additional ways to find accountability posts beyond manually scanning the list of discussion topics is to use:

the Button in the far right menu column “PLAY THE ACCOUNTABILITY GAME” which will display the latest linked Practice Accountability discussion.

the SEARCH THE FORUM box at the top of the far right menu column by typing in Practice Accountability and pressing enter which will display all the discussions with those words.

Sorry for the confusion my early posting of the discussion which meant it rolled down the list due to inactivity. As I had many family obligations over recent weeks, I had preloaded the Practice Accountability posts in advance.
