ModeratorWe are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column above the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Silver MemberHi there Chara,
Chali : More devoted to you than to Porkie, you are very important to her. It is good though to have Porkie around because one can talk cat language and interact socially with the same species.
Could it be that you have a son whom Porkie likes a lot and has a special connection with ?
She reacts to your mood swings, you might have noticed.
Her kidneys need more fluid but she likes cracking dry food with her teeth
She LOVES her life and is very grateful
Could all be just my imagination …
Thanks !

Gold MemberHi Gabriela!
Thank you so much for talking with Cali. Yes, I would say she is more devoted to me than even Porkie. My husband (which sometimes feels like my son, lol) and Porkie have a special connection.
I’m so happy to hear that she loves her life! I will start adding water to her wet food to help with her kidneys.
Thanks again!

-lays on the rug, soaking up sun and loves to stretch her arms right out sleeping
-Does Cali where sometimes a light blue color with a little bell on it?
-She has quick little meows when it’s feeding time, and very anxious lol
-Showed me a little red car?
-and also you standing in the kitchen ,Cali watching you lick all your fingers after tasting something!..lol
Very affectionate, loving, full of energy, loves being groomed, specially right to base of tail 🙂Hope this resonates with you and thank you for letting me connect with your pretty girl Cali

Gold MemberHi Debbie,
Thanks for connecting with Cali! She does like playing with a wand toy and batting things around, especially toy springs, although I haven’t noticed a specific ball. We don’t have a toy red car, so maybe that was from her foster home when she was a baby. Do you know what colour the wooden cabinet that she was under was?
She is very affectionate with me when it’s time and has loud, quick little purrs. She’s never worn a collar, though. She does like to sit on the counter and watch me in the kitchen, and I have to move her out of the way.
She will let me groom her after she attacks the brush, and likes some good scratches at her tail base.
When she’s not allowed outside in the backyard, she lies on the rug at the patio door and stares outside. She is full of energy and loves wrestling with her brother, Porkie. She will stretch out when sleeping.
Thanks so much for reaching out to her!
Cheers!
Chara
She gets very excited when the Temptations come out! She doesn’t get very vocal with her regular food. She is most vocal when she wants outside—she’s very persistent!
Did she mention anything about regularly trying to escape the yard? She’s such a rat that way! 😺

Platinum MemberHi Chara,
I’ve just spoken to Chari. She ia adorable. She feels and looks like such a young soul and sounded very childlike a dainty to me.
I felt that she is very shy and timid with strangers and children and hides when people come around. She also showed me that loud noises frighten her. I saw an impression of her sat on a step and a noise outside making her jump, so she doesn’t like to go outside much or stray far away if she does.
I asked what a good life looks like to her and got that she loves snuggles with mum and an impression of her curled up on your knee.
A noise downstairs made me jump, and therefore her too in response, for which I did a quick Hooponopono and ezplained what had happened. I asked if she had a message for you,but she didn’t at this time and had had enough of talking by then, so we finished the conversation.
She’s such a sweetie. Thanks to both you and Chari for allowing us to practice with her.

Gold MemberHi Melanie,
Thanks for talking with Cali! She is a young soul and quite dainty, and she is fearless. She loves being out in the backyard and is a master escape artist. No matter how much we try to secure the fence so she can’t escape, we find her in the neighbour’s yard. I have to keep an eagle eye on her!
And yes, she’s not a fan of loud noises. She is my snuggle bug and loves to lie on my legs on the couch.
Thanks again for reaching out to her!

Platinum MemberThanks for the feedback Chara. The image I actually saw was her sat on a step outside, which was combined with a loud noise, making her jump, so I wonder if I’ve picked up on a memory from which I’ve made an assumption (a good lesson for me to watch for).
I’m not sure where the hiding from guests came in. Is there a particular person or child she doesn’t like, or has my mind completely made that up? What I saw was her sitting behind a curtain and a knowing of strangers coming in. Sorry to seek more clarification with this. I’m trying to unpick areas in which I’m going wrong with my communication. Thanks again.

Gold MemberOh, sorry for not addressing the rest of your chat with her. She’s not a fan of strangers right off the bat. There is a cat tree that is partially covered by a curtain that she and her brother will perch on or hide behind when a stranger comes in. She does warm up to people being in her space and will patrol around them and eventually ignore them. If a person is very loud, she will go into the closet in my office, which is entirely hidden by a curtain. That is her safe space.
Sometimes, when she’s outside and there is a loud noise or the backyard neighbour’s dog jumps at the fence, she will bolt into the house. Loud sustained noise like the vacuum or blender doesn’t bother her, unlike a single loud noise that startles her.
I hope that helps. I’d say your interpretation of what she was telling you was quite good.
