We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them. Enjoy!

Thank you Barb for adding Sadie! I’d love to hear any insights people may have about her. I posted a couple questions in this month’s Q&A forum as well in case people want to ask her them directly…
Why will she not drink any water inside the house?
Why does she avoid coming into my bedroom?

      Hi Lindsey,

My name is Dianne Peck and I am working in the Advanced Animal Communication course.
I’d like to share with you my experience with your very sweet Sadie.
We’ve had two sessions with each other. I introduced my self and asked if she would like to talk with me, and that she would be helping me become an experienced animal communicator.
      This is our dialogue:

Sadie: It is very nice to meet you, Dianne. Even though I am an introvert most of the time, I like to see new people…well, the right-for-me people and my inner knowing (which is always my first guide) tells me that you are one of those right-for-me people.

Dianne: Thank you! Sadie, I think you are just a very sweet Being. I love the expression on your face in your picture…very very gentle. But also very stalwart, as in: there is nothing frivolous about you where being dependable is concerned. (I just checked the dictionary and the meaning of stalwart is loyal and reliable.)

Sadie: I came to Lindsey because I wanted to increase the experience for her of having someone loyal, and who she can depend on every time, and who loves her without compromise.

Dianne: I know you also have a puppy-side to you, Sadie. What is something that makes you want to play
and sometimes be even a little silly?

Sadie: I love it when my mom gets down on the grass with me and we roll around together. She really does that!

Dianne: You are so lovely to be with, Sadie. If I could have a dog(my apartment building doesn’t allow) I would want her to be like you.

Sadie: Thank you Dianne. I think I could be very happy being your dog. But of course I am already very very happy being Lindsey’s dog. I feel I am playing a role in her life that no other pet or even person could play.

Dianne: I know you are, Sadie. Beyond a doubt.
There are two questions that Lindsey would like me to ask you …. that okay?
      Sadie: Go for it.
Dianne: Well, the first is: Why do you not drink water inside the house?
Sadie: Oh, that. Nothing major …it just seems that I can’t do it without spilling some on the floor around my dish and, well, I guess I just don’t like making a mess.
Dianne: Okay. That sounds reasonable. And very sweet.
The second question is this: your mom is wondering why you don’t seem to want to go into her bedroom.
Sadie: Well. I’m not sure I know why I do that. I think it’s connected to my sense od shyness. It’s a very intimate place, and I seem to feel self-conscious about going there. Thats about all I can say.
Although, I also remember that a very long time ago, not in this lifetime, I was severely reprimanded for doing that. Perhaps I’m letting that affect me still. If Lindsey could help me with a lot of reassurance, repeatedly, and be patient with me, I think I would be able to relax about going there. I’m not sure, but I would like her to try that.

Dianne: I will tell her for you.
My time with you has been so lovely, Sadie. Thanks for helping me out. You make we want to start an animal communication business as soon as possible.
      Good-bye Sweet Soul.
Sadie: Goodbye Dianne. There are many animals waiting for you to make a difference in their lives.

Lindsey, I’m looking forward to your feedback, whenever you can work it in.

I live in eastern Canada, pretty much in the Atlantic Ocean. I am a retiree and have a 13 yr old rescued pussy cat and a deep desire to move more directly into the exciting world of animal communication.

Hi Dianne! Thanks for taking the time to connect with Sadie. I loved reading your conversation with her. She does appear to be an introvert (much like me) and is more outgoing with people she seems to know that are animal lovers and have pure intentions. She is very very gentle and I do depend on her a lot for feelings of loyal companionship and love. That’s very sweet that she told you that’s her purpose with me. I know that no matter what changes I go through in my personal life, she’ll be right there with me along the way.

We aren’t sure exactly how old she is and she does act very puppy-like and silly at times. She loves to play in the yard and be chased. She is so joyful when she’s rolling in the grass and rubbing her back on the ground with her feet up in the air! It brings me so much joy to see her like that! Although I don’t get down in the grass and roll with her directly (maybe I should try this haha), I do rub her belly and play with her when she’s being silly.

Her response about the water bowl is interesting. She does make a little mess when she drinks out of bowls outside. Usually water will fall onto the ground in front of the bowl and then she licks it up. I can tell she has some fear around water in general, so I think this ties into her decision to not drink in the house. With Val’s suggestion, I am going to try an indoor pet fountain to see if she’ll drink that way. Maybe since the water will be running and making noise, she won’t be as concerned with making a mess. Also I’ll put a mat under the bowl and tell her it’s ok if she makes a mess.

I have gotten the sense before that she is shy around intimacy, so that’s interesting that she mentioned that about not coming in the bedroom. I will practice giving her reassurance that it’s ok for her to come in when she wants to be close to us. I find that in most situations, we have to work with her with a lot of reassurance and patience.

You got some great insights from her and I’m so glad you’re on the journey of animal communication!
