We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.Bholu-NitaM

      Hi Nita,
Here is what I got when I connected with Bholu today

      When looking at his picture:
      Yellow energy
His personality: something between extra- and introverted, may be shy, withdrawn
As if he was sad and concerned
      All his clairs are activated
Warm firm body, nearly soft to the touch
      Middle tone voice

      Connection:
When I introduced me he immediately answered by sending a warm energy wave
His body touched my legs just to make a contact
I received a strong love energy (which I returned), as if he was healing me
Asking him how he was today: he is afraid
Said I was sorry to hear that and asked why
Sensed he was much concerned about you
I said “Nita is struggling, trying hard, isn’t she? And I am so sorry you feel so afraid.”
Anything I could do for him: send him love
Which I did, from my heart to his heart
And after a while I sensed he felt better
Asked him about his favourite food: anything, as long as it is food
And what food he disliked: none
I joked about telling him that my own cats were so spoiled regarding food
I showed him the way we pronounce his name in French which certainly is much different from your way of pronouncing it
Sensed he didn’t mind it and that he liked his name

Asking whether there were other animals living with him: no reply
Asking whether he had always lived with you: no reply
Asked him to show me where he was right now: no reply
Since I got no answer again asked him whether we were still connected
      It seemed not so

So I tried to connect with Bholu again, to continue the conversation we just had together
And thanked him for coming back although it was a less intense connection
Asked him what he would rather like to talk about: everything else
There I had to laugh, because Bholu is not the first animal I have been connected with who is leaving the conversation all of a sudden 🙂
So Bholu’s reply “everything else” explains it clearly…
He must have been bored with my questions which were not the right ones to ask
I must improve asking the right questions
I asked him to give me an idea of what he would like to talk about
He asked me to talk to you, so I asked him of what
He replied: Tell her that I love her, I am proud of her, fond of her, that she means everything to me
      I promised doing so
I asked him what I could do for him: nothing
And anything he could do for me
He sent me much appreciated healing energy in return
I asked him for his advice to improve my communication skills
He advised me to connect from heart to heart, to take it easy, to relax, not to be too tense, not to worry, not to be so stressed, to just to let it happen (!)
I thanked him for his previous advice
I asked him how old he is: he doesn’t know
I asked him whether there was anything else he wanted to share before I left
He wanted me to come back another time
      Which of course happily promised
I asked him whether I could share our conversation with you: yes
I left the conversation sending your gorgeous Bholu much love, big hugs and kisses

My impression is that Bholu is a reserved, discreet boy, who does not put himself forward, but who watches over you to make sure that everything goes well for you

Hope it makes sense? And in advance thank you for your feedback.
With lots of love to Bholu and his family

      Hi Evelyne,
Thanks ever so much for talking to my Bholu, and congratulations for having such a long chat with him….I have much to learn from you. Sincerest apologies for this delay as I just saw it, was caught up with a few issues and then our time difference!

You have got his essence very well. He is a very loving boy, though a loner/aloof in his own way. And yes, he’s not fussy about food! His name in the Indian Hindi language means ‘simple” and he had been named by someone when we adopted him. I’m touched by his message for me, and he knows he’s been a favorite! but I wonder why he is afraid. Maybe you can check with him if you ever connect with him again as he suggested! The only reason I can think of is that I tell him that I wish I could find him a good home where he would be the only one….maybe he’s worried he’ll be sent away. Of course that doesn’t seem like a possibility. I can understand his concern for me as all my dogs seem to sense my struggles at age 68 in caring for 8 of them (all rescues with issues) the deep trauma after I lost my first one Brownie and the other major challenges here. I think the communication was interrupted as he must have gone off to sleep!! Even during the day he sometimes likes to go into his room and curl up in bed!!

Now I’ll give you the background so you can relate to what you got. He’s about 6 and is here with his brother (Khush, on my ATH page) and mother and sister. In 2017 my son found him and 2 siblings near his office in a public park, dying of starvation and illness, so after prolonged treatment (Bholu was the smallest of the litter and on the brink of death) we adopted them there, arranged for meals and medical care and daily visits. We were living in Delhi in an apartment, with a rescue (Brownie) and her son Blackie (both on my page). In 2019, we moved 400 km away to a rural homestead in the Himalayan hills of north India, with the mother-son and another rescue Tikli. Bholu and the others were still there, under a paid caregiver and vet, but gradually the local drunks and drug addicts started abusing them. Finally, I brought 4 of them and another mother-son pair here in 2020. Unfortunately, his brother Khush ran off and could not come with them till 6 months later. I was shocked to see that the family was very hostile to him…I reconciled them with a lot of effort, but unfortunately, Bholu and Khush started attacking each other violently, and much to my regret, both have to be kept tied up when on the balcony near their rooms. Khush has his own abuse related nerve issues, and I think Bholu wants to be the boss, having been here longer. It’s not the ideal situation I had hoped for, except that they are safe.

Do let me know if you have any other questions….you’ve done a great job!
      Many thanks again and blessings

        Hi Nita,

As promised I had another connection with Bholu today
He connected quickly and sent me warm and comforting energy
I told him that as agreed I had shared our conversation of last week with you
and that you had been so happy to receive his heartwarming message
I also told him that you were concerned about him being afraid
and asked him to explain why he had been worried on that day
He would not tell what it had been
But I sensed that everything was fine now and that he was not afraid any more
I told him how pleased I was to learn this
I asked him what he was doing right now
        I sensed he was resting
I said that I was hoping not to disturb him during his sleep
I sensed no, that it was ok with him
When I asked him what he had been doing today, I sensed “sleeping”
(After the connection I checked the world clock and realised it was early in the morning Indian time 🙂
My following questions received no answer which made me think that he was may be still sleeping or dozing and not wanting to wake up
the magic of the connection was gone
Ended the chat saying that I was so happy to know he was not afraid any more
And that if I left him now it was so that he could carry on his sleeping and resting
which I wished him to be very pleasant
Sent him lots of love, big hugs and promised to come back another time
        Have a nice day

PS: Would it have been that Bholu had been afraid because he did not know me?

      Hi Evelyne,

Firstly, sincerest apologies for this delay in responding, as I’ve been dealing with an aged dog, who may transition. Thank you so much for connecting with Bholu again and reassuring me that he’s no longer afraid. No, I don’t think it was because he didn’t know you….could have been something temporary, like a mild earthquake, which is common in the hills.

Yes, Bholu loves to rest in his bed and look out from his room, and then take a nap, any time of the day! Wakes up only when there’s bright sunlight, about 8.30 am! He’s become rather lazy after coming here!! When they lived in a public park, from where I brought them, they had no proper place to sleep in or rest, and were often hounded by people. So all of them love their own rooms and beds (and blankets!) Bholu is extremely possessive about his. So it’s not surprising that you found him sleeping….very accurate Evelyne.

Deepest gratitude for your time and inputs, you’ve got his essence perfectly!
Love from Bholu and me! He must be feeling very happy and important being spoken to!
