We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!
To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.
Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.
Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).
Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

I reached out to chat with Bear today. I am new to this, and I would love to know if any of this resonates with you. I asked if he was in spirit, but it doesn’t say this on his photo, but I saw him in spirit, but couldn’t tell if it was present or future. His energy felt very grounded and wise as though he has lived many lifetimes. He showed me him coming back in a small dogs body – a min pin or chihuahua perhaps? and mostly tan with black accents. He was incredibly energetic in this body and says he chose it because he will be small and can get into hard places he can’t (or couldn’t?) get into in this body and because he will have so much energy. He let me know that he had had a hard time moving/stiffness in the pictured body, so I’m guessing he had some arthritis and I felt his energy was low compared to what it had been when he was younger, which he didn’t like. He said he liked being your dog, and he showed me his head leaning into your cupped hand, and also his head on your knee. He felt very comfortable at home with you and the other animals. He also showed me what looked like Val’s love circle meditation that we do on our live calls, and showed me how we all shared energy from heart to heart. I saw it moving through humans and dogs in a circle to the right. He also told me the way to improve my communication was to let that love into my heart, and keep my heart open to allow it to flow.
Lastly, I asked if there was anything else we wanted to share. He showed me picture of a plaid blanket or blankets. One had a blue and white pattern and one had a red and black pattern. Does that mean anything to you? I had an absolutely humbling and beautiful experience connecting with Bear today. Much gratitude to you both.-

Sorry I havent replied before – I am new also, having joined a year ago but life got in the way so only just getting back to it!
Bear is 11 and is alive and well. 1 rescued him with Emma 2 years ago as they came as a bonded pair so dont know much about his history except that they were on a farm and their elderly owner had died. He would have been very active when younger as he is a labrador/cattle/border collie and has slowed down but can still run around well and chase Emma when off lead. He does have some arthritis and is on meds but Im looking at some more natural treatments for him. He is a very loving boy and does like to put his head on my lap and I know he is grateful for the home I have given him and Emma. With the small animal body – it may be thats in his future – he is 38 kilos so a big boy now (was 46kg when I got him!). I feel you have picked up on him well – congratulations! -
