Beginning Core Foundations Class 5
I finished this class today and was amazed by the information and the questions asked. I still have to practice more with fellow students. I was not able to connect with Blackie either, so will keep trying.
As for the assignment I intend to make practice a daily thing and spend more time with my rescue Layla. I am also going to schedule my time so I can work on the course and practice. My gold nuggets from this Lesson where: Pay attention to what your animal is trying to tell you. Respect their space, how they try to gain your attention and most of all be still and quiet your mind to help communicate. Also be open to any message no matter how subtle it is. Thank you for a great lesson. -

Hi everyone! I didn’t want to start a new chat if one had already been started for the Beginning Core Foundations Course, so I found this one that Mary started last year. I’m just going to add to this one. π (edit added: Whoops, sorry, I did the Beginning Foundations course in the L.O.V.E. series – I didn’t realize this one Mary created was the “core” titled one. π )
I just completed lesson 4 of this course and just had to post something about what I got from Echo – Sue’s sweet bird and from Comet – Jane’s sweet horse. The task was to connect and see what we got. I don’t know how long ago that lesson was recorded so I knew that what I received might be different than how those two might have felt when it was live recorded. Since I did this class probably months later, I did make sure to ask all the animal teachers if they were available and willing to talk to me.
For Echo, I asked what his favorite food was and I got a feeling/image that he liked Fruit Loops (the cereal). I thought, ok, maybe birds would like that. I wrote it down and kept going. When Sue came on and said he liked fruit, and to be more specific, liked apples, grapes, and bananas, those are 4 of the fruit loop colors (I counted apples as green and red)!!! π If she said oranges too I would have fallen out of my chair because that would have been the 5 original colors. LOL
For Comet, I felt he was a very strong, alpha horse, meaning others look up to him, he is the proud leader. But then I got a feeling that he was sad, lonely, and tired. When Jane came on and talked about him, I thought that I completely misread how he felt as she said he was happy. BUT, before she got off the call, she said that she was soon having to move him and another horse to another pasture and hoped that she could help them understand what was going to happen. When I did this lesson, I am sure the move had already taken place and maybe that explained why I felt that he was sad and lonely and tired. Maybe because he was missing his friends and the old place. Just my thoughts on that but would love to hear Jane’s feedback on that. π
I am really learning SO much with these classes and from each of you! Hugs to all!
