I have been going back over my training courses to start again from the beginning. I was not a member of the coaching club at the time so I am now posting in the forum as suggested.
I believe my communication style is energetic or clairsentience. To be honest I am not really sure what the difference is between these styles. I hope someone can clarify for me.
I also think this is probably why I don’t have much luck receiving messages. I always expect to hear something and probably ignore or gloss over what I feel or “just know”.
I would love to be able to branch out and use other styles to receive. -

Hello Jann.
Great job going back. I’m sure you will learn things you missed and learn much more!My personal experience and my interpretation of the difference between the energetic and clairsentience is that energetic is to feel other’s energy while clairsentience is to feel what others are feeling. When you tap into the energy, you might feel warm, cold, or stagnated, etc. They are not right or wrong or has no meaning. Whereas clairsentience feels what the other is feeling. So let’s say you felt energetically warm and you might sense that the animal is feeling lonely. They are very distinct.
Why do you think you don’t have much luck receiving messages? You already identified that you receive messages via energy and feeling, no? You ARE receiving the message. Communication is not all about hearing, you need to let go of this assumption. 😉
If I were you, I’d work on understanding what you are strong first before trying to learn other styles. Stop wanting what you don’t have and cherish what you already have. Then you will start developing other skills naturally when you are ready.
By the way, not hearing the others might be a blessing in disguise. Animals like humans may say things that are contradicting their feeling (animals do try to hide things for love of their humans)… Just a food for thought…
Hope this helps,
Chigusa -

Thank you for your help and encouragement. Much appreciated. I just completed (again) the Animal Communication made easy introductory course. YAY! I feel like I am getting back on track with my AC

Jann, Great job going back to review. I find it helpful to do repeatedly and each tie I gain more information as I am in a different place and more open to receive in different ways.
Chigusa is correct that practicing with what we have gives us a solid foundation to which we can had more later. We each have different gift sets which also means it is important not to force ourselves comparing to what others are doing or have. That being said, it is also important to eventually expand our other sense so we can meet the animals with whatever communication method they want to use. Turns out words are often not their favorite mode. How wonderful that you are already familiar with your own interpretations of energetic and knowing. (I get the ‘clairs’ confused sometimes too.)
Keep practicing. Perhaps conversations with the Featured Animal Teacher or other animals in our Animal Teacher Helpers.
