Melanie “Mel” A. has volunteered to host her Dog, Daisy-In-Spirit, as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT) during November 2024. You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
We encourage all of you to connect with Daisy now and throughout the month.
Tune into Daisy first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Alfie feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc. Ask Daisy ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.

Hi Mel,
Something wonderful happened. I had just found a guided meditation on youtube about awakening your intuition at about the same time the post went up about Daisy being the FAT for Nov. I did the meditation and then afterwards, I looked at Daisy’s picture. I immediately saw in her eyes that SHE was going to show me a true full-on connection with an animal in spirit. I haven’t quite reached an “experienced” level of full-on connection with animals in spirit outside of very strong feelings and some images of energy flows mostly, with maybe a few simple messages. But, oh my gosh, Daisy did what she said she would do. 🙂When I first called out to her spirit, I got a strong, quick tinge of pain in the top of my head. I asked if that was her showing me I was connected to her spirit. She then let me know that she was showing me how her spirit left her body. Her spirit left through her body’s head. The tinge then went away, and she seriously downloaded claircognizantly a boat load of wisdom all at once. I have learned when that happens, just start writing every little thing I get. You should see my scribbled writing from trying to write so fast. 🙂 Her messages were amazing.
I saw her spirit as a very bright white light of energy. I felt that her spirit was still here, still very strongly close to yours. I asked if she had returned to the divine space and felt that she said not yet. I asked why she hasn’t yet, and she said her mom was still too sad, Daisy can’t go too far away yet. She wants to make sure mom is okay first and understands something. She is glad she was chosen this month as the FAT so that we can help mom understand something.
I asked Daisy if it was time for her to leave her body when she did. She said “yes, it was time for me to leave the body. Leaving the body is not a big deal at all to me.” I told her we humans get very sad when their physical bodies are no longer with us. She said “it isn’t about my body or anyone else’s body. When humans see for themselves when they leave their body, they will realize that. The spirit is SO much more! You have to release the attachments to the physical forms and focus on the spirit. I know it’s hard, but you will see that one day. Let go of the physical attachment. I am spirit, we are all spirit. Physical bodies are an “illusion”. I am hanging around for a time so that you all can help my mom realize this. So you all can realize this. Focus on the spirits of all beings and look past the body. Celebrate spiritual connections, not physical connections. Bodies are dust. We never leave each other in spirit. Strengthen the spiritual connections with all beings. Start releasing the “physical” connections because that is not what it is about.”
Wow. I then asked her if she wanted me to tell you anything else. She said to tell you that she loves you, you took great care of her, and she will ALWAYS be with you. You just don’t see her but she is there. She said to look past the body, “I am right HERE!”
I felt her calm loving spirit and thanked her for sharing such wise wisdom with me. I told her I would share every bit of her message with her mom.
I know there isn’t anything to validate in this, but I do hope this brings you comfort. Daisy also gave me a great gift, too, as that was the first time I have received such a detailed message from an animal in spirit. And her message greatly helps me as I tend to focus on physical, too, and not concentrate on spirit connections in everyday life. Thank you for sharing her with us. What a sweet spirit she is! Wow Shelly, what a wonderful connection and a beautiful message. Daisy is a wonderful and wise teacher.
I’m so glad she felt she was ready to leave. I felt that I had got that message from her, but with all the sadness and grief there is always doubt about whether I got it right or not. I know deep down it was the right decision for her.
She is right in the fact that I am still so sad about her passing and I’ve been missing her so much. Her message brings me a lot of comfort.

Dear Melanie,
I tried to tune in with Daisy and here is what I got: First a deep bark x2. I asked how she is: Good. Resting. I’m in a time of rest.
I saw her lying on her side stretching her legs and then sleeping. I felt she had a sense of relief. She could completely let go and relax because she knew she was being held by universal laws.
She showed me that the stiffness in her lower back and neck going down into her front legs was gone. She had been carrying it around for a long time and it was good to rest.
She still loves life. To run and chase on green hills. Loves smells and mud and all the places that hide smells. So exciting!
She is a very practical dog – just got on with things.
She showed me a vet and a clinical place with some unpleasant smells but she says this is not significant.
I asked what is you life like now. She said: the same. Still got a life to lead. Different vision but still carry responsibilities for being alive.
A very accepting dog – laid back in spirit but very energetic. Just loves running around and sniffing, following a trail. Again I get how exciting this is.
Message for Mel: I love her. She sends a sense of lightness is for you. Not to have any worries.
Not sure about the connection – as ever. What a wonderful warm string embracing personality she has!

Daisy always loved a good sniff around and was very energetic. She also loved muddy puddles.
She was in a lot of pain with her back and neck, especially in her last week. I’m so glad she is free from it now and can rest.
She has an amazing personality and just loves people. She will really enjoy everyone talking to her this month.

Thank you for the feedback. I imagine it can’t be easy for you right now. The double bark detail was really helpful too. I was particulary taken by Daisy saying that not so much has changed – we’re still the essence of life trying to do our best both before and after this physical life. I had never thought about life/death like that before.

It is interesting. I wonder if that relates to the concept of Karma and reincarnation in terms of the lessons we learn from each life determining how we move forward in the next life.
I’m glad the info about the double bark helped. Val always says the small details matter and this is a good example.

This is what I’ve just got during the call. 🙂
Daisy is actually running to greet me! She is dancing around happily and her short tail is wagging so fast and all her body arches, shaking her butt. 🙂 I feel she spreads so much love…
She says:
– I’m sooooo happy people come here! Wow! This is a huge breakthrough!
– You know us? All?
– No, not all! But if I sniff you than I get to know you :). So happy I got rid of that body! I feel so free now! Look at me I see, I hear, I run, I play, I laugh and nothing hurts! (Was she ill when she transitioned?)
– Your mom will be so relieved to hear this!
– Oh yes! She still cries. She doesn’t get it yet, that I’m so fine and happy.
– Why did you go?
– Because it was my time. I couldn’t bare a moment more those energies on earth.
– But aren’t you afraid for your mom? Leaving her behind?
– No. because from here I can protect her much better. Just tell her to close her eyes, release all expectations, clear everything away from her mind, and to call me. when she will do that, I will give her a sign. Something I used to do, I will press my nose on her cheek. Just tell her this, she will know.
– I’ll do that!
– I’m Daisy. When spring will come tell her to look for a daisy flower and to pick the first one she sees. This would be another sign from me. tell her to dry the flower and keep it. Each time she would touch it she would feel me instantly.
I’m happy to be FAT. I wanted to do this while I was there, but I wasn’t chosen. I’m so happy now!
Her energy though she is bountiful feels so calm and warm, spreading it around. It feels so good to have her around me.
I see her aura is white, with a more luminous white in her heart center.
I hear her again.:
– Continue your journey! It’s a continuous journey, life on earth and after transition. We are in a continuous journey. Tell mom to remember this, we are in this together! No one is ever alone. Tell mom I love her very much! I send her a big bunch of love right now!

Honestly, I’ve hesitated to write it, because I thought I got something wrong, but I left it, because somehow I heard Val saying, that even the smallest thing may be important. So glad I’ve written it! 🙂
I hope you find something in this conversation. Honestly I was a little too concentrated on watching her, that I’ve forgotten to ask her something like an object to validate.

That’s a lovely connection Lucia. Daisy would be excited to see you. She loved a good fuss and would dance around, arch her back and stomp her back feet. She has a huge heart and is very loving.
She was ill when she left us and in a lot of pain. She wasn’t blind, but her vision had deteriorated a lot over the last couple of years.
I do still cry sometimes. It’s getting easier and I’ve accepted that it was her time, but I’m still sad that she’s not here. I’m so glad that she’s happy and pain free now though and the messages today have confirmed that I have been connecting with her myself. I also got a message from her in the week whilst sad to clear my thoughts and release expectation. I’ve been trying to do that more.
Daisy was chosen to be the FAT a couple of months ago, but we agreed November, as I was going away in October, which is why she had to wait. As it turns out, the delay worked out for the best.
I also saw her on the call today as pure white energy.

I will be forever amazed how much wisdom our Fur Angels have! How well they know us.. always ready to spread a little love.
I have connected again briefley with her, and this is what I have sensed.
I see again Daisy’s bright white light. To me is like a lighthouse showing the way in the dark. Her white light especially brighter in her heart is beakoning hope and love towards all human kind that seek to find the light.
She is surrounded by other beatiful beings of light.
Her dog face fades as she is growing brighter and brighter… she takes a humanoid sort of form of the purest and brightest white light, and slowly comes closer to me, until she gives me a hug…
I burst into crying, feeling all this pure love surrounding me…
I feel honoured and blessed and grateful, and for a moment I just breath in that pure love.
I feel the white pure love light clearing away from me all heart pain, regrets, sorrow.. all that doesn’t serve me…
I bask in that state, never wanting to stop.
I feel like I am levitating.. but as she is still hugging me I feel that slowly we descend..
My tears have dried, I am left only with a missing feeling.
I only wish I’d stay in that state forver…
I hear only a voice saying: please explain to my Melanie, this is how much I love her. We are together since many lifetimes, we are bonded, and when the time will be right we’ll meet again.
Everything is fading away, and when I open my eyes I’m still me in my old chair..I hope that I have succeded to somehow describe her message. It’s such a complicated job to describe feelings and images… and moments that seem to last days, when everything happens maybe in seconds, as I didn’t sense time there.

When I connected with Daisy I also saw her change from a dog to a glowing pure bright light, then into a tall angel, with beautiful coloured wings like a butterfly. She sent me lots of healing colours. I also got that we were bonded through different lifetimes, would always be connected and will meet again.
I’m blown away that she has sent a similar message through you to confirm what I received. She knows how much I doubt myself and has been sending clarification through you all to trust what I am receiving.
I am so grateful for you sharing this, but also pleased that you also received such healing energy from her. Thank you xx

Hi Melanie.
Daisy greeted me with her tail wagging. I get this quiet type personality from her. This was my first time to get an image from a pet during a connection as I just started to develop my clairvoyance ability but right away after I connected to Daisy, I saw an image of frog face, it looks like one of those rubber frog toy. Then I saw like a black square. Looks like a mat of some sort. I picked up that she is an old soul. I picked up an yellow aura for her. I felt that her energy was smooth. She showed me that she was in a field happy and relaxing when I asked her where is she in spirit. She said that it is so beautiful over here. No more pain she said. She said that she has an angel role now in spirit where her role was guardian in body. Her purpose was to guide and protect you. I asked her if she had any message/advice for me, she told me to be confident which makes sense as I struggle with confidence. I asked her if she has a message for you. She said to focus on yourself and to take better care of yourself as well. Tell her that I am always there with her. That I love her very much. Thank you mom for everything! Thank you Melanie and Daisy for allowing me to do a connection. Lots of love and hugs!-
Hi Alana. Thank you for connecting with Daisy. Her tail was always waggibg when she met new people. I wouldn’t say she had a quiet personality as such, but though she had her giddy, mischeivious moments, she was quite calm and she loved to relax and join in with meditations and Angelic Reiki sessions. She always liked to relax on the grass outside. It doesn’t surprise me that she’s taken an angel form. I also picked that up during the communication.
I don’t know what the frog face and the black mat are I’m afraid.
The messages she gave are lovely. She’s a good teacher.

I communicated again with Daisy. At first I had trouble. Nothing was happening, but then I broke through. Daisy said, “I’m a happy dog. I like to run and play. I can still do that now if I want to..or even fly. Imagine that! It’s hard to describe. I can also be in my body but it’s not the same as my body before. I can be out of my body and do amazing things like be in two places at once or go through walls. I like to sit by Mel. I think she knows I’m there. Sometimes I move my ball so she will notice me. Ask her. I want to be near her but I also want to move on and explore my new world. There are other dogs here and I can play with them. I don’t hurt any more plus I can eat my favorite food –hot dogs—Even though I don’t need to. Mel said they were bad for me. Mel can communicate with me now. I can tell her lots of things. My job now is to explore and learn and get ready for my next life. I also help others when they pass over.. It can be a startling experience. I thought I was ready but it still took me by surprise. Another dog helped me when I made the change. I can help Mel when she makes the change. She won’t be alone, lots of others will be there to help her. Oh, yah, I can see now. But Mel knew that. It’s easier to run in circles now! Don’t cry Mel!”
Note: I can see Daisy running in circles then coming to a stop and sitting in front of Mel waiting for a treat. -
Hi Karen, it sounds like Daisy really is much happier now she is free from pain again. She always was a happy dog. It makes sense that she is between worlds right now and I know that her messages are helping me to heal, which in turn will help her to move on. I don’t think Daisy ever tasted a hot dog in her physical form, not with me anyway – lol, as I know how bad they are for health. I have started to feel her nearby when I meditate and connect in with her. I haven’t noticed her ball move, but I do have another dog in physical form, so I would have assumed he’d moved it if it has moved. I’ll certainly watch for it now though. It’s good that another dog helped her transition. I did ask one of my other spirit dogs to help her, and my dad to look after her for me.

I connected with Daisey on the call. I wish I had written it down but I didn’t. I will write what I can remember which isn’t much. I got different things than others, usually do, whatever that means.I got a very quiet countenance from or about her. Regarding the question what is her new job she said she doesn’t have one yet. Has not gone there yet. I think I got more of a recuperating or regrouping, getting her bearings so to speak.
I got a maroon aura around her. No idea what that means, h ave never gotten that color before.She said to tell you that you are “doing a good job” and that she is proud of you. I don’t know if that means the way you are handling your grief over losing her, or if there is some project that you are involved in. Hopefully you will know. And thats about all I got or remember.

Daisy was an outgoing dog, but despite her fun side she also had a calm, grounded side. I’ve just looked up maroon and it symbolises strength, grounding, protection and transformation, which could maybe indicate where she is on her journey.
I’m not sure what she means by ‘good job’ as I’m constantly strtching myself to try new things, but maybe it’s linked to the animal communication. I promised her I would do my best to become proficient with it and I have managed to connect with her.

Sending love and condolences. This is a difficult time for you but hope the communications with Daisy help you heal.
This is what I received. Appreciate it will be difficult to verify anything but hopefully her words will resonate with you.
Daisy was a special wise, kind, loving, warm hearted girl. Quiet of nature
Daisy, pacing anxiously and jumping from one foot to the other, was reluctant to come near, even when I offered a bridge between us for her to step onto. Heard the words, it’s too early. Mum is not ready to hear what I have to say.
I assured Daisy I would not force her to do or say anything which she did not want to do or say.. Let Daisy know, mum loves you and misses you being with her enormously.
Daisy replied. I do but she must grieve my physical body. I am still around if she looks for me but it is not the time. You humans grieve but for us it is a process. We come to learn and teach. My job was done. It was my time to leave and move forward. That was our contract and was fulfilled. The agreement was completed.
Daisy would not say what that contract or what her job was whilst being with you. Maybe it’s her way for you to look back on the relationship you both had together and what that meant to you. sense that you do know yourself what you learnt and taught each other.
I thank mum for everything, her love, her patience and the care she gave me. We leaned on each othe.
Daisy is now backing away as though she does not want to communicate anymore but she continues with – Mum will see the signs that I am by her side. We are part of a circle.
All the souls in the universe greeted her upon arrival Into her spirit world.
Daily continues with. We are all one energy. I am a part of her. Mum is a part of me. Do not frown or cry for me as you humans do but rejoice in the love, the life we shared. Remember me. I am not gone. Yes, my earthly physical body has gone. It was but a vessel for us to connect, to be as one. Look into your heart where I reside. Be yourself, your true self, There was no sadness but joy while I was with you. You must heal.

That’s a beautiful message Sandy. Thank you. I understand completely what is meant by we are all one and all connected. In fact Nita’s dog brownie gave me an identical message for her.
I’ve been very much comforted by all the messages I’ve received from everyone, including this one and I know that it’s time to heal and let Daisy move on. She came into my life to help me heal and rediscover myself. She certainly did do a fantastic job.

A neighbours golden ginger and white kitten came into my life and adopted me, for a few short years till 29 Dec 2019 when she disappeared. I and others believe the guardian gave, who I called, Sweetie. away. The family had cats and dogs before and after ‘Sweetie’ went missing. I still search for Sweetie. Cannot get any info from guardians. This lead me, over time, to animal communications. Therefore I regard that it was ‘Sweeties’ job to point me in that directions.
Basic story is the same for you with Daisy.

Agree. time spent with animals that choose to be with us or not are very precious. They are teachers for our betterment as we are for them. Wish more people thought same way.
Even though, like many humans, I’ve been around animals since a child. It was thru searching for Sweetie and time was right that I came across Animal Communications. There’s no doubt without Sweeties intervention, I would not be on this path now. I still ‘feel, sense her even though 2 neighbors cats visits who Sweetie hung around with. Yes animals do grieve too..
When I chat to animal guardians, however briefly, I try and ask them ‘what is XXX teaching you… ‘ I do get some funny looks but hopefully have planted a seed in the guardians mind and they may look at their ‘pet’ in a different way.

Hi Mel, thanks for offering Daisy as FAT, and once again, deepest condolences….I know what a loss it is. I was so privileged to speak with her a couple of months before she crossed the bridge…I deliberately didn’t look back at that communication or the previous posts, to remain objective.
I’m grateful that she seemed to remember we had spoken earlier. This time I saw her simultaneously in her physical body and in spirit.
I had a glimpse of her time with you, sitting near an open window with curtains billowing in the wind. Her breathing is gentle, and I got a warm sensation in my body when I hugged her.
She seems so much more graceful now, and I had a vision of her enveloped in a bright green light, which then changed to gold, and a flash of wings. She is relieved, and feels lighter after dropping heavy energies. She is sad when she sees you sad, but also happy that you are processing the grief and trying to move forward.She is an old soul, with deep wisdom. She is largely clairsentient, or maybe it felt like it because that is my strong point. She feels so peaceful and warm, in a meadow with yellow flowers.
She sensed my sadness over my dogs in spirit and said that I need to overcome my grief and regrets. She reminded me of my Tikli.
Her purpose is to offer wisdom and comfort, much as it was in her lifetime with you.

Another lovely communication. Daisy was very clairsentient in her physical body, so it doesn’t surprise me that that’s how you are sensing her.
I am processing my grief better now and it has really helped to have so much confirmation this month that she is happy and relieved to be free of the pain, so we made the right decision to let her go.
I have also sensed a shift in her form now and saw her with wings in my communication too.
We never sat near an open window, with curtains, but we do have blinds in the conservatory, which can sometimes rattle in a breeze. We usually had the door open in summer.
She is a wise girl and gave us all so much comfort when we needed it. Still does.Thank you for sharing your lovely communication with me and well done.

I do not get much regarding Daisy. Rather a feeling like everything has been said and done. A feeling of harmony, peace and well-being. No more open issues that should have been discussed. All is well.
The words « thank you » and « love ».I feel a need for you to allow yourself to turn to the living. With joy and cheerful curiosity about life in general. In the knowing that all is well with Daisy.

Dear Mel,
I contacted Daisy again today.
She would like you to know that she loves you, looks after you – the link is not broken. You are always together linked by your heart.
She feels light and free. She says she is in a place of comfort – in the sense of physically comfortable but also comforting for her soul. There is a lot going on to get involved with if she wants to.
There are lots of other dogs with her. I saw a smaller reddish/gold spaniel type dog. And also birds.
She says she had so much fun in her life. She particularly loved walks outside. I saw a picture of a hillside with a small grey road going up it, grey skies, clouds, air full of moisture. and FUN!
She says in her life she grew a lot.She learned to overcome physical limitations by always going back to her spirit inside. She says she had friends of different species. Love connected them. She liked playing with them. She was also here to give protection, company and help regulate your emotions. To ground you. She loved it.
She particularly liked moments after a walk where you would rub her (maybe with a towel?) – A special one to one moment sharing the energy of the walk.
Was she 12 when she died? (i’m avoiding reading other info until after this)
You and she are in the same soul group – you don’t have to be on earth to be together.
I asked her if she had a job related to earth and I saw a picture of her straddling the earth with great paws and howling to the moon. I got an impression of protection, grounding and holding the connection of energies around earth to earth and the other planets.
She may well reincarnate again soon.
Message: BE in your body. Love your life to the full. Don’t be too much off the earth – that isn’t the point of an earth incarnation.As ever, not sure about the connection but I did hear the two woofs at the beginning. I struggle with holding the concenttration though so I suspect I went in and out. Thank you so much for your feedback before. I don’t think I replied to your comment about karma – I have been mulling it over and I think it feels exactly right!

Thank you Rosemary. We had lots of lovely walks in the countryside. We made drying time into a game, which we both enjoyed.
I’m not sure who the dog is, but she loved to play with my daughter’s rats. She liked other animals, but could be a bit boisterous and would have chased them if they ran – not to hurt, but for fun. She often did this to ducks when she was younger and then stopped, unsure what to do when she reached them.
She used to enjoy lying outside on the grass and just ‘being’ which I believe would have massively helped her connect to her spirit.
Daisy would have been 12 on the 1st December – next week.
Another lovely connection. Well done.
The father figure could me my dad, who I asked to look after her, or my father-in-law, who she knew and who passed two years ago, on 2nd December.

Hi Melanie.
Again, I’m sorry for your loss. Daisy is such a sweetie. I enjoyed connecting with her again. She was so excited to see me again. She gave me this warm exciting happy personality. Right away my back felt really warm and I felt pressure in my heart area as well when I connected to her. Perhaps it was to do with her physical body. I asked her what was her preferred Clair to give and receive info, I heard Clairaudience. I asked her how is she doing in her spirit form, she said so happily that she is doing great. No more pain and she is running around free. I asked her how did her transition went, she said that it was peaceful and that she had help from the vet. I asked her was there anybody there to meet you when you left your physical body. I heard that everyone was there but more specifically a father energy was there. I asked her what is her sign for you to let you know that she is there visiting, she told me a monarch butterfly. Her favorite activities when she was in her physical form was going for walks and playing balls. Her role with you in her physical body was a teacher now she has an Angel role. I asked her if she fulfilled her soul contract with you and she said yes. I felt that her soul contract was to teach you how to love. I picked up that she is an old soul and shared 2 lifetimes with you. I asked her if she was planning to reincarnate, she said yes but doesn’t know what and when yet. Ask her about it later down the road she said. Her message for you is to keep moving forward, you got this! You are a strong person, I love you very much! Her message for me was to stay strong as I go thru these big changes which definitely resonates with me. I picked up an red aura for her. She had a lot of pain in her back at the end and also had a couple of small lumps on her chest area, but whilst I wasn’t aware of any pain there, there could have been. The vet did help her pass. I asked my dad to meet her and look after her in spirit, but I’m sure my father-in-law could well have been there too.
She was a very connected dog on the earth plain and definitely clairsnetient and clairvoyant. It doesn’t surprise me that her other clairs are strong too though.
She did enjoy her walks and her ball.
I was told a few years ago that I had had a previous incarnation with her as a horse, which didn’t surprise me, as she had a few traits that were a little horse like.
It doesn’t surprise me that she has an angel form now. I attuned her to Angelic Reiki level 1 and she always liked to join me when I was working with the angels.
She was a very healing dog. She came to me when I had cancer and helped me on my healing journey and journey of self-discovery, which also led to me becoming a healer and animal communicator.

Hi Mel,
Thank you for sharing Daisy’s energy and connection with us. I am very new to the club and this is my first attempt at a communication in the class. I finally just finished listening to the November recording. I followed along and during the communication with Daisy, I felt a lot of bubbly energy and excitement from her. At one point I felt a sudden sensation in my right forearm – could have been my own thing but I wondered if she ever had pain there.
At another point I saw her with a cast all over her body. So I wondered if this was a metaphor about the difference between how it feels in a physical body versus in spirit.
I also connected with her again tonight and explained to her that I was a beginner and thanked her for her patience and connection. All I felt was love and as I explained this, it was like I was on a bench and she jumped up next to me, and swiped a paw on my lap. I saw a visual of a huge open field, indicating expansiveness. And, surprisingly, I started seeing yellow lights/dots shooting around. I could only assume this was a representation of her energy in some way.
Lastly, I asked her how she likes to remind her mama that she’s always with her. I saw a ball bounce and a paw on your lap. I also saw your face with some tears, which she cleaned up with her kisses <3

Hi Joelle,
That’s a beautiful connection. Daisy did have pains in her legs and used to lick her front legs a lot. At the end she was in a lot of pain with her back and neck also, so she would have experienced so much more freedom of movement and pain when she passed over.
She had a very bubbly character by nature and would often put her paw in my lap.
