Do Your Cats Ignore You When You Tell Them to Stop Behaving Badly?

cats ignore you

Do your cats ignore you when you try to tell them what to do (or not to do 😉 )?

There’s a reason that performing a difficult task is compared to “herding cats”. Kitties aren’t known for being obedient, after all.

“I try to communicate with my pets about changing their bad behavior like waking my husband during the night and interrupting his much needed sleep, adding to his stress and mine, but they aren’t listening and nothing changes.

Do they not understand what I’ve tried to tell them, or are they just ignoring me?

Also, can you explain more about how to make sure they are listening?”

Solving problems like this is one of my specialties, and why I developed the H.E.A.R.T. 5 Step System for solving problems with pets AND why I teach animal lovers how to do this yourself at The Heart School of Animal Communication® .

I created the uniquely powerful, all encompassing H.E.A.R.T. System from my over 30 years as a professional communicator (you can see more about that on my website at www.ValHeart.com )

I’ve discovered that solving this kind of problem can be easy when you do it the right way, or difficult  – even impossible – to accomplish if you go about it the wrong
way.

If you’re going in the wrong direction, more speed doesn’t help!

via GIPHY

Let me explain.

Because on the surface, it seems simple enough, right?

“Stop waking Dad up at night! He needs his sleep and you’re not helping, so cut it out already!”

But there are many problems with that approach, which is why behaviors often don’t change in the slightest, and can even get worse.

And yes, it does take a high level of proficiency and time, working one on one together to sort it out properly, so your cats don’t continue to ignore you.

For instance, in this badly behaved kitty situation there is a LOT to unpack.

There are 3 cats, all of whom have their own unique viewpoints, insights, roles and purposes, needs and feelings.

There is the possible mismanagement of the cats so their needs aren’t being met in the way they want, which is likely why they’re misbehaving in the first place.

When we talk with them, they tell us what the real issues are from their viewpoints.

And then – and only then – can we solve the problems so they don’t have to act out anymore or continue to ignore you. 😊

There is also the need for crystal clear communication with each of them, both individually and as a group, in a way they can understand and even more importantly, agree with you about.

That requires your becoming a better communicator using advanced telepathic abilities and skills.

Then, you must answer their questions and concerns, listen to them, clear up any unmet kitty needs in a way that makes them feel heard, understood, loved and respected.

And then there is the part about adjusting and making changes together as a family once you are all in agreement about the need for change and why that’s important.

That could include YOU making changes too (you can only do that when you understand your cats viewpoints, needs, and requests).

There’s also the bit about helping the cats understand your viewpoint and your husband’s viewpoint, what’s helpful, what’s not helpful, what’s needed, and what makes things worse.

When you do this properly, then they align with you and you can solve the problem(s) together.

cats ignore you 3

Cats are highly sensitive to energy, psychic interferences, emotional imbalances.

Next, there’s healing to bring more peace/harmony to the household to help lower the stress levels, frustrations, emotional, health problems, psychic and energetic disturbances.

Cats are super sensitive to energy attacks, emotional imbalances, psychic disturbances, and in high stress situations, they will go to work trying to clear the threat and rebalance.

Then…

There’s also the part about dealing with your fears about upsetting Dad and how he doesn’t understand or believe in animal communication, his negative beliefs, projections, his
energy, his work, and health concerns.

Can you see now that this is not a simple communication telling your pets to just stop doing what they’re doing?

Yes, you can try telling them to stop and change their behavior, but if you don’t change your behavior, and if you don’t tell them in a way they can understand and agree with…

Or, if you don’t do it right, then they’ll likely choose to continue to ignore you and act out, sometimes worse than before because clearly the dense human is STILL not getting their
messages.

When that happens it’s not because they can’t hear or understand you or are choosing to ignore you.

It’s because you’re not listening to them.

It can also be true that they may not be able to understand you if your thoughts are all over the place bouncing around like a pinball machine, or if you’re not clear in your messaging, or you are not connected in the first place because you (or they) are too distracted to focus.

The H.E.A.R.T. System 5 Steps for Problem Solving with Pets

Start with the basic animal communication training.

To become competent and proficient in solving problems like this properly, following the steps as outlined above, you must have your foundational communication abilities and training.

Practice with other people’s pets until you are more proficient before communicating with your own pets so your “stuff” doesn’t get in your way because you’re too close to each other to gain real clarity or to get validation or proper feedback.

What can you do next to help sort this out?

For now, simply talk to them out loud, heart to heart, mind to mind knowing what you know now.

Feel your love for the cats, how grateful you are that they are in your life, how much you appreciate their efforts to fulfill their purpose with you and Dad.

Be sure you are connected, and that they are listening.

Create a “safe” space where it’s just you and the cats, no distractions.

Acknowledge them for their efforts in helping you and your family, even if you don’t understand what they’re doing or why yet.

Ask the right questions in the right way and timing.

Don’t gloss over what you get.

Express what you need to say and explain why it’s important to you.

Advanced Tip: When you can communicate better, you can tell them the best case vs. worst case scenarios

Explore the worst case scenarios so they can understand why this is important and what will happen if they choose not to help you or ignore you (hint: What are you most afraid will happen if their bad behavior continues?).

How that would feel?

What are the consequences of their continued bad behavior antics?

Consider what’s in it for them to change or adjust their behavior, and express that.

Then explore the best case scenario(s) – what do you WANT to have happen?

Image or tell them what would be more useful and helpful for them to do.

Feel how amazing that would feel, how proud of them you would be.

Imagine in your mind’s eye a video of what you want them to do (clairvoyance), feel your feelings like it was happening (clairsentience), and tell them what you want (clairaudience).

Then see how they respond.

Anything change?

If so, well done – you did good.

If not, then you missed something.

These are the sorts of things I coach my students on and help my clients with.

In our Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club Live Q&A Coaching Calls offered the second Saturday of each month, I teach you how to connect in our group communication exercises so you can experience the Heart Wisdom Method of communication for yourself.

Greet your pets like I teach in class and in the courses, then send your love to them, feel their love back, and then begin the conversation.

Practice communicating and solving problems with other people’s pets until your proficiency is good, then refocus towards your own pets.

We have over 300 pets in the Club for you to practice with, including our Featured Animal Teacher(s).

Because YOU can do it too, once you know how.

Just remember that you can learn all the techniques, steps and tips for telepathic/psychic communication with animals you want, but if you don’t do your inner healing then none of
that will help you.

If your thoughts, focus, and feelings aren’t right, if you’ve blocked yourself, get stuck in your head, can’t access your heart energy, or you’ve shut down your intuitive gifts – you’ll have problems clearly communicating.
