Hi, everyone!
During the June 8th Q&A call, Val addressed my question about animals with dementia. My 13-year-old dog, Kaden, has dementia (he has “sundowning” in the evening, has become increasingly agitated and anxious, tends to snap on the other dogs/cats in our home (at times, not always), and it seems like his hearing/vision may be slipping a bit).It was suggested that it may not be dementia; he may not respond to his name or cues because he’s seeing/connecting with things I cannot see, etc. Val recommended sharing Kaden in the forum to see if any of you lovely folks could tune in with him and see what he is experiencing. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure he is okay and that we are doing the best we can for him in his senior years.
Thank you to anyone who connects with him. Much love and appreciation!

Hi Erika, you may remember I had spoken with Kaden about 6 months ago…I didn’t realize he had dementia, but that probably reflects my lack of practice! However, this is not regarding a communication, but just a suggestion, if it resonates with you, to try homeopathy for “sundowning”. I recently heard a podcast where some remedies were suggested and explained with case studies. Hope all your kids are doing well. Lots of love and blessings

Hello! I just went and re-read your notes from your conversation with him, and one thing you picked up on was his strained breathing. He has been diagnosed with GOLPP (Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy) and one symptom is breathing issues.
I will look into some homeopathic remedies for sundowning. I know his issues cannot be healed, but I want to make sure we’re managing his symptoms as best we can. Thanks for the love and support, Nita!

Thanks Erika! Maybe Kaden’s issues can’t be fully healed, but I’m sure he will be very much better, thanks to all your care and concern.
Maybe you can try Ho’opnopono and EFT, and flower essences for him? Just a suggestion, but a session with Val would go a long way!
Much love and prayers for Kaden and your other kids, and you too! -

Dear Erika,
I have an urge to share with you some thoughts regarding Kaden. Maybe you will get something out of this.
So, the other day I got a beautiful message that inspired me to write to you. I will quote a part of it here:
“Every day your heart, a muscle roughly the size of a fist, pumps about 2,000 gallons of oxygen-rich blood to cells throughout your body to keep you alive. As amazing as the physiology of it is, this primary organ of the circulatory system does so much more.
“The heart is the miracle maker,” says teacher, healer, and Qigong master CL. “The heart accounts for 90 percent of our body’s energy, the mind only 10 percent.”
In fact, research at the Institute of HeartMath has revealed:
The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body, as measured in an electrocardiogram, and it’s about 100 times greater in amplitude than the brain waves recorded in an electroencephalogram.
The heart’s electromagnetic energy can be detected and measured several feet away from a person’s body, and between two people in close proximity.
Information transferred from the heart’s electromagnetic field changes based on the emotions experienced.
HeartMath studies “heart coherence,” a state in which the heart, mind, and emotions are in harmonious alignment, and the impact of this state on health and human performance.”So, as Val says every time she has the chance too the secret is in breathing!
By breathing consciously you will adjust your heart beats and frequency too. When you find yourself a few minutes to spend with Kaden, just take long deep breaths, as if preparing for meditation. Your whole body will relax, your heart will find a steady rythm and Kaden, will pick that up from you.
Long before I started AC, intuitively, or perhaps guided by my guides, when my dog was having anxiety issues I started to take deep long breaths while peting him. Within a couple of minutes he would start to copy my breathing.I feel that Kaden, might get frustrated actually as he doesn’t feel strong as before. He needs just a little attention from you, and to breath together with you. 😊
Hope it will help!
Loots of love and many kisses on that blackberry nose of Kaden!
