ModeratorMary H. has volunteered to host her Dog, Layla, as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT) during March 2025. You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
We encourage all of you to connect with Layla now and throughout the month.
Tune into Layla first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Layla feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc. Ask Snowy ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Gold and Platinum members will have an opportunity to connect with Layla along with Val on the Q&A call March 8th. Check your time on a world clock for call time of 11:30am Eastern / 10:30am Central Texas. World Clock at https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter-classic.html) Call reminder emails will be emailed to you. Also, call information found in your course materials.
Have fun practicing your communication skills in this supportive setting! Lots of interesting discoveries happen here.

Gold MemberHi Mary,
I tuned into Layla and what a wonderful girl she is. She has a bright sparkly aura, she is happy and grateful, she loves her mom very much. I told her that you love her very much too and she said, I know.
I asked what she likes to do and she said Make mom laugh. I said Thats good, and how do you do that? she said play and do funny silly things and you laugh.
I asked if she likes to go for walks and she said yes she likes to go for walks and meet people.she gets to play with other dogs but she is the only dog in her home.
She appears to have a worried expression so I asked if she was worried about something. NO answer. I asked if she was in any pain, no answer.
So I thanked her for talking to me and told her I hope to talk to her again. She seems a real sweetheart.Kathy S
I get that she is not really OLD, but OLDER but that she has a young spirit.

Platinum MemberHello Kathy, Thank you for talking to Layla. Yes she makes me laugh with her silly antics. At the moment the weather is not good for our walks. She meets and greets everyone on the walks. She loves all people and other dogs. She is the only pet in our home. Her worried look is always there lol. We were told by the rescue people she was five when we adopted her. No one knows her true age. She will be eight this Sept. I think she will open up once more people talk to her. Thank you, love and hugs from Layla and me.

Platinum MemberHi Mary and Layla,
Tonight, 3/5/25, at 7:30 pm US Central Time, I connected with Layla. She remembered me from when I talked to her last year. 🙂 We had quite a lovely talk. I was amazed at how focused she is on you, Mary. It warmed the heart, I have to say. 🙂 Here’s how our talk went:I asked her how she has been. She said “Good. Mom and I are having a good time together. I love our walks. I look forward to those! We both enjoy those walks together. I try to be good and walk careful, so mom stays safe. Mom has a busy mind. I hope she can have some rest and peace and quiet the mind. She will feel so much better! Please tell her for me. I love her. She has such a good heart. I need her to not worry. All is well. I am with you, mom, and here to help you. Lean on me. And let the worries go.” Wow, she just dove right in with what she wanted me to tell you! She shows such love and compassion towards you.
I told her I heard that mom found those cute little mice in the house. Layla got ALL excited! She said “I know!! I want to play with them!” I told her they were pretty small and fragile, and that Layla was so much bigger and could hurt them. I told her mom would be so sad if something bad happened to those sweet mice. I told her the mice needed someone to help her mom protect them and keep them safe. I asked Layla if she would be willing to do that, to not hurt them or play with them, so they would not get hurt. She said, “if it will make mom happy, then yes. I will help. I’ll try to restrain myself from chasing or playing with them. I’ll try to be gentle, okay?”
I asked how Layla was feeling. She said her throat was a little sore tonight but that she is fine. She said there is nothing to worry about.
I asked if there was anything else she would like to talk about and she just asked that I let you know her messages. I told her I would and that it was so nice talking to her again. I told her I loved her and would check in again with her. ❤️
What a sweet girl she is! Love her. I am so glad you and Layla get to experience her being the FAT this month! May you grow closer and may you find peace in your mind and find the comfort Layla and all of us hope you find! 🙂 ❤️ Hugs and love coming your way!

Platinum MemberHI Shelly, Thanks for talking to Layla. Yes we do enjoy our walks together and she listens well when I ask her to not pull because its icy. She keeps me safe. Spot on about my busy mind. I’m working on it. Layla is my cuddle buddy and loves to snuggle as if she is trying to help me. I feel her love and know she is special. The mouse, it hasn’t showed up in a few days but the food is being eaten so I know its hiding somewhere. It doesn’t come upstairs. I am glad you asked her not to chase it and to help me protect it. It gives her a job to do. As for the sore throat, it could be from our walk today. We encountered a problem getting back to the parking lot and she had to walk on the sidewalk. I was afraid they may use ordinary road salt and it would burn her feet. I wiped them off when we got in the van. I saw her licking her foot and told her not to as it may make her sick. She stopped but I wondered if she got some in her throat. We have a lot of trouble getting her boots on. She sure had a lot to say and I am glad she remembered you from last year. Being the FAT will boost her confidence. I am so glad she gets the chance to talk to everyone. Thank you for all the messages. Love and hugs from Layla and me.

Rosemary M
Platinum MemberHello Mary and Layla,
Here is what I got on the Q&A call. I’m not sure if it right but I really did enjoy this communication with Layla. Thank you for any feedback.
When we first connected she barked and then sat down. Ready. I got that Layla has very clear opinions.
She looks at the world – looks around, involved and engaged. She shows me an image of her pulling forward and looking round – not pulling in a crazy way but in a confident and curious way to see the world.
I see her with deep purple colours.
She thinks humans need a lot of her teaching.
Relationship with her mum: Mum worries too much. You both have different types of strength. Sometimes she thinks you send confusing messages and that you worry too much. Your relationship is about balancing your different strengths. She is very confident of herself and her decisions – and perhaps not so much of yours – she is just very used to assessing situations and making decisions (this made more sense after I saw the past life stuff below).
I asked her about why she came as a dog: Being a dog is the most exciting way of living in this world. The smells, running.
I asked her about things she loved: She likes to be out and about in the world among humans.
Her favourite season: I see snow.
Health: I sense a headache – perhaps caused by sinus issues but not sure.
She shows me that she is part of a stream of dogs, one in a line of heritage. As though this heritage/line of dogs is all part of her or she is part of it. Not too sure.
Stroking: she likes being rubbed under her neck.
She says there is so much to learn in life especially about fitting in with others around relationships. A lot of fun and humour here.
She shows me a picture of her as a sled dog – perhpas a past life. A working dog with humans.
There is a theme in her lifetimes of negotiating relationships with humans and othe dogs.
She is dominating and knowledgeable. -

Platinum MemberHi Mary
Thank you so much for allowing us to connect with Layla! Here is what I picked up from Layla on the Q & A call. She is such a beautiful soul! She came to me very happy and with her tail wagging. I said her name wrong but she was very forgiving about it. I got that she is a very sweet, loving, kind and outgoing soul. She said I am Mary sweetie. I got that her preferred communication method is Clairaudience(Hearing). I felt that she is a young soul and that this is her first lifetime with you. I felt that her job/role is a guidance/guide. I got that her energy field is red/green and that it is a strong energy. However I did felt a little off balance though. Also I felt something off in my throat area as well. I got that she loves to be petted softly on her head. I felt a soft fur. She has a loud voice when she is talking to me. I picked up that her favorite things to do is to go for walks and play in the snow. Also to spend time with you as well! I love my momma! Her message to you is to keep working on healing your heart. Her message to me was to keep my thoughts positive when resonated big time as I had a visit Thursday on my walk from my gram spirit in her bird form telling me to stay positive during the next few weeks. Also my spirit team told me this morning during my meditation/reading to avoid indulging in negative thinking as well. I also picked up a red ball at the end of the conservation. Again thank you! Lots of love and blessings to you and Layla! ❤️ -

Platinum MemberHi Mary,
thanks for letting us connect with Layla. She is such a sweet girl.
During the call I got that Layla is extremely loyal. She is very friendly, attentive and calm. She is the only pet in your house, but has friends in the neighbourhood and in areas you are walking her regularly.
What made me smile was that she seems to be quite efficient. When I greeted her she said hi with a big smile and the she told me she will go around our circle to greet everybody and collect all our question. Then she will answer to the group as a whole in order not to repeat herself constantly.
Layla said she is happy and feeling good in her body most of the time. She loves her walks. She likes soft scratches around her head and a bit more firm pets on her chest. She is not too fond of having her lower back stroked.
Her purpose: keeping mom grounded and giving joy and love.
Lots of love to both of you

Platinum MemberHello Rosemary. You sure got a lot from Layla. Yes I do worry about her. She came to me from a rescue 3 years ago. I don’t have much knowledge about her past except she had puppies. We think she was either abandoned on the streets or ran away. As for confusing messages I can see that at times. I am glad she has her confidence back. She has been working with a reiki lady and lacked confidence. Layla loves meeting people and helping them especially people with mobility issues. They give her lots of pettings and tell her she is a pretty girl. Sometimes she ignores my decisions and does her own thing which can get her into trouble. I didn’t think she liked the snow but lately she has been playing in it. Thank you for telling me about her headache, she sometimes reverse sneezes. I can give her a homeopathic remedy for the pain.
Wow-I am awed by her past, you are the first to be told anything about it. She is 89 percent golden retriever and 10 percent yellow lab. We had her DNA done and she has relatives all over the world. I am fascinated in the prospect she was a sled dog and worked with humans, it must have been another lifetime as I got her from Egypt. Yes she is dominating and feels she doesn’t need to listen to me at times.
I would say you sure got a lot of excellent info, great job. My internet is not very reliable and chops up some of the words. I am so happy you wrote your findings for me. Thank you so much. Love Layla and Mary. -

Platinum MemberHello Alana, Thank you for talking to our Layla.
She has only been with me for 3 years after she was rescued. I think her sore throat is from licking some salt off her paws. We got turned around on a walk and unfortunately due to huge piles of snow, we had to walk on the sidewalk which has salt on it. That salt can burn their feet and if they lick their paws and get some in their throat it could burn. I wiped her feet off when we got to the van but caught her licking her paw and told her to stop as it could make her sick. She stopped licking and I washed her feet off when I got home. She has boots but they are hard to put on and I don’t think she likes them. She does love her walks. This is the first year she has played in the snow. They do not have snow in Egypt where I got her from. Yes I am working on healing my heart and have a session with Val coming up.
I am glad she had a message for you. I am sorry to hear about Coco. Sometimes its hard to be positive. WE have to remember that positive thoughts lead to positive outcomes and negative thoughts are not good for us. Not sure about the red ball although I think there may be one outside.
You got a lot of positive info from Layla and I thank you for her messages to both of us. You did a great job. Lots of love from Layla and me.-

Platinum MemberHi again Mary
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I didn’t know that salt can burn their paws so that is good information to know if I ever move to a snowy state in the future. So thank you for that. Yes ma’am, I am learning to remember that positive thoughts lead to positive outcomes. Just needed to be reminded that. Thank you for the powerful reminder! You’re so welcome! Both of you are beautiful souls! Lots of love from Coco, Pup Pup and me to you and Layla! ❤️

Platinum MemberHello Klaudia. Thank you for talking to Layla. Yes she is very friendly and enjoys attention from everyone she meets. She is the only pet in the house but has a dog friend next door and several dogs in a walking group.
She is too funny and I laughed at her idea of collecting group questions and then answering them all at once. Sounds like a professor with a student class. She collects her toys that way in groups. Layla does like belly rubs. The reason she doesn’t like to be touched on her lower back is because she has some inflammation there and she has an extra vertabrae in her spine. I give her Chaga mushrooms for her inflammation every morning. You received a lot of correct info. I hope you talk to her again Great job. Sending lots of love, Layla and Mary. -

Irmgard Asnong
Gold MemberHi Mary,
I connected to Layla today. I have not been able to join the Q&A call nor listen to the recording, but just tuned into her and will describe below what I picked up during our conversation.
I find it very easy to connect with her and have a conversation, she is open to share and also seemed to have a rather urgent or pressing message that she wanted me to tell you.
At the beginning of our talk, I sensed she is looking for fun and excited to learn, and I picked up she said you’re never too old to learn. She then shares she has a mission, she is an anchor in the storm for her mommy, and then she immediately says Mom does not need to worry, all will be ok, in divine time. She asks me ‘will you tell her?” And she goes on ‘ life is too short to worry, life is to experience with ups and downs’. So I confirmed I would let you know!
When I am asking if she can share some more about her and her life, I picked up she thinks there are other more important things to talk about. I explained I am practising the AC skill and then she says ‘oh, you are one of those’ o;)
Ok she says she is outgoing, trustworthy, loyal, kind, likes a bit of an adventure, she is open to listen and she is the family dog. She loves walks, especially morning walks and long walks and she loves to feel the wind while running, she needs het walks every day. Is there an area with sand around the area of her walks? I picked up there is lots of sand nearby?
She likes to eat fish and bones too and will bark when she thinks it is needed. She also wants to protect her family. I am asking if there are other animals in her family/house, and she immediately asks me back ‘what do you consider animals? Also insects or mice?’ So I need to be more precise and explain I am referring to domestic animals like pets and part of the family. Layla says ‘it is just me at this property’.
Then she comes with another message for her mom and it could be also applicable to me.. So she said , it is ok to sit down, there is no need to rush, things will get done, sooner or later, what matters most is what makes you happy. I also pick up that Layla loves life.
It was such a nice conversation, thank you for the opportunity and lots of love to Mary and Layla. -

Platinum MemberThank you Irmgard for talking to Layla. Yes she seems to have a lot of messages for me lately. Thank you for relaying them to me. If you open the talk and tell her your a new student, she may be open to tell you more. She didn’t recognize you as a student of AC lol. Layla does love an adventure. If she gets out of the yard, she will go on a tour of the neighborhood and ignore me calling her. She does love her walks and so do I. Sometimes we are not able to walk because of the weather. We walk at the fair grounds on an oval track. It is paved but there is lots of sand in the park also. She stays out of the sand. She does love fish and bones but is not able to eat them. She barks at all the people and dogs that walk by her fenced in yard. Layla is the only pet in the house but we do have a resident mouse staying in the basement and if it comes upstairs her job is to protect it. She is a very happy dog and loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep with me. You and I need to both pause in our day and take time for ourselves and she wanted you to know that. You did a great job, please feel free to talk to her again. Everything was correct. Much love from Layla and me. Welcome to the club.

Gold MemberThank you so much, Mary !!
Your feedback is so valuable and it was a pleasure to speak with Layla!!
I’d love to connect with her again as you suggested, we didn’t go into detail at specific topics so maybe next time. Should you have anything in particular that you want me to focus on, you can let me know.
And I agree, since the connection opened up really easy, I did not get a chance to proper introduce myself to Layla..it all started to flow and normally I always share why I am reaching out etc..
Enjoy the time with your special angel,
Take care ! -

Kathy Simms
Gold MemberHi Mary
I connected again with LAYLA on our q and a. So I basically just wrote down answers to things Val was asking.
I stared off with Golden Glow of Energy. That she chases her tail.
I said how the class is trying to connect with you and she answered, “yes, I know”. She likes the attention, is happy going from person to person.
Life force energy: Strong
Is she balanced: Yes
Color (surrounding her) : Mainly yellow
I get from her “Lets go” Wants to go somewhere. Very outgoing.
I don’t think she is an old soul.
She exudes warmth and love
Touch: Anywhere you want – Not on feet
Likes to run. Likes to play ball. Her main purpose is to keep her mom grounded and happy.
She is a lovely soul. A make you feel good friend. You are very lucky to have her.

Platinum MemberHi Kathy, thank you for talking with Layla. I think she was very excited when chosen as FAT. She loves to be around people and other dogs. She loves her walks and gets excited when I put her pink harness on her. She does like to run when we get in the off leash park. She does have a couple of balls but has never played with them or a game of fetch. She and I go for walks that ground us. She can be silly and quite playful when she wants to but loves to cuddle. I think she is a young soul in this body and was sent from God to help me. I feel she may have been in another body before that. Thank you for the information. Great job. Lots of love from Layla and Mary.

Platinum MemberHi Mary! I just now had the chance to listen to the recording and connect with Layla. My immediate sense was that her aura was primarily purple and orange, with some pink around the chest (which represents that she’s kind, caring, and loving). She’s friendly, but waited a moment before coming up to me. I think she was checking me out, ha! When she did come up, though, she was happy to let me kiss her lovely nose. She thought I was silly! I got the sense that she was a helper and a healer. She loves to be scratched on the chest.
As far as her health, I felt some distinct twitching in my left hand and my right foot, which I think meant that she had some discomfort or some tingling in those areas. She felt a little off balance to me, so maybe that’s what it was (it didn’t seem serious; more like a temporary discomfort). She’s a curious girl. When I asked her what message she had for you, she just said to tell you to not worry so much because it makes her worry about you. She’s here to help you heal.
Thank you for letting me talk to Layla, Mary! I really enjoyed meeting her and I look forward to getting to know her better.

Platinum MemberThank you Elizabeth for talking to my Layla. She is very kind, caring and loving to every person she meets as well as me. She does put her head low sometimes and checks a person out. She is cautious meeting other dogs and people. I am surprised she let you kiss her on the nose as she doesn’t usually do that kind of thing. She doesn’t like me kissing her head either. Probably something to do with her past. She is a helper and healer. When my heart dog died before I discovered AC, I was very depressed because I found out what she died from. I asked my heart dog Abbey and the universe to send me a lost doggy to help me heal. The phone rang a couple of weeks later and there was poor sick Layla. I adopted her and now she is pretty healthy. That was in the fall and by Christmas the universe showed me Val’s web site. Layla said I found her but she chose me. She loves to get on her back for tummy rubs. We went for a walk yesterday and it was hard on both of us walking in slushy snow so she may be sore from that. She tells everyone to tell me not to worry so much lol. Reiki lady told me Layla was sent to help me heal my heart. You did an awesome job, bang on with everything. Thanks for the message. Lots of love from Layla and me.

Gabriela Landolt
Silver MemberHi Mary,
A few random thoughts coming in from Layla like
– Mutual support (Layla and Mary)
– Mutual healing journey (Layla and Mary)
– Lucky to be with Mary and her supportive husband
– Appreciative of how things areA random word coming in, ‘swimming pool’. Feels like you do not have a swimming pool and you do not need one. Although swimming would be excellent.
Does Layla wag her tail when she sees a certain (small) cat/animal (no barking then) ?
Personally, I like the leash, it is not just around the neck/throat which feels like strangling and I feel that Layla agrees.
I feel also that you are a wonderful, loving and loveable person, very sensitive, with a big heart. Same for your husband. It would be ok though to tell the outside world sometimes what you do not like. In fact, it is necessary to step up sometimes for yourself and to say NO in a friendly but assertive manner. That does not make you unlikeable. A NO to others is a YES to yourself.
The above was just a quick connection and could all be my imagination only …
Best wishes,
Gabriela -

Platinum MemberHello Gabriela, Thank you for communicating with Layla. I was talking about a large pool but we don’t have the place for it. I bought a kiddie pool for summer. Layla does not like water at the Lake or at the groomers. Once we get her in and wet at the groomers, she tolerates it. That is why no to a pool. lol. We have cats that roam through our yard on their daily walks and Layla just wags her tail but doesn’t bark. About the leash, I use a harness on her. The only thing around her neck is her collar with tags on it. I am not sure if she is referring to the collar or her harness. She has trachea problems so can’t put leash on her collar. As for the outside world, I already am saying no especially to people and family members that think I’m nuts because I study AC. I just keep things to myself. I do bully my husband who has Parkinsons. He needs to be reminded of doctors orders. He does however support me in my AC. You did great. I would like more clarification about the leash thing so maybe the next time you talk to her she can explain more. She is a very loving supporting angel. Thank you, great work. Love and hugs from Layla and Mary.

Silver MemberSorry, Mary, I should have called it harness … : I like it and I feel that Layla agrees, it is good that the leash is fixed on the back/harness and not on the collar (and by the way the collar around the throat/neck does not bother, it feels loose enough). Thank you for the feedback,
many blessings,
Gabriela

Gold MemberHi Mary,
Thank you for sharing Layla with us.
She is excited to talk to me and licks me.Character:
Curious
Joyful
Playful
Very social
Obedient, good listener
Very willing
Happy
Explorative
Loyal
Loving
Friendly
Bright
ActiveLikes:
She loves to meet other dogs and to sniff them. I ask about cats. She is curious about cats but remains cautious to see how they react, she would like to play with them.
She likes all people also, especially children. She is very social.
She loves to eat, I see and smell meat chunks in a dense sauce.
She loves going for walks. The moment you get ready to go is so exciting for her. She also likes to sleep.
She likes to be stroked on her head, ears, nose, neck and chest.Physically:
Her body feels a bit heavy to me, as if she is tired. She is very excited to go do things but it is as if her body does not have as much energy as she would like to have. My attention gets drawn to her chest, her longs. She might get tired or out of breath easily after a run? I ask her since when. A month or so. It is a constant feeling. How come? Maybe a food supplement or medication you are giving her. Worms?
I got a light dense feeling above my eyebrows. And my body itching in different places. Both went away again shortly. Her role:
She is a guide to you. A protector, a leader. To bring you joy and support you. She is proud of her role.
I ask about you. I can feel my heart glow. She is very deeply connected to you, very caring and nurturing. I also feel a heaviness of too much worry. She says you worry too much. It is tiring and heavy.
She says she is always willing to help you, she will be lovingly by your side.Other:
I am showed a ball of wool in a drawer? She says sometimes you give her a few extra cookies in the shape of a bone in the evening. I get there are no other animals in the house.I thank her and she thanks me back. She is so lovely 🙂
Thank you Mary for your honest feedback.
Much Love.

Platinum MemberHi Mascha, Thank you for talking with Layla. She all those things you listed for sure. She loves an adventure and a new place to walk. Yes she is so happy to meet other dogs on our walks. They do sniff each other and then she ignores them to get attention from the people. I saw her reaction with a neighbor’s cat and wondered if I should adopt one. My cat passed from cancer at 18 years and Layla never got to meet him. She does love people and especially kids. She gets cooked food, usually turkey, bison or duck. She hasn’t shown any allergies to the food. I did take out some peas and another veggie that she was allergic too. My mouse totem came and left a message with one of the students that Layla had allergies so I looked up her food and found a couple of things. Eggs was another. She is always sleeping unless eating or walking. She plays with her toys also.
About the heaviness in her chest and lungs, I am going to get her tested for heartworm soon. She also has a heart murmor. She is going to get Reiki treatment next week also , maybe we will find out then. I have asthma and have had problems lately. She could be mirroring me. I do give her home made treats shaped like bones. She is the only pet in the house. The ball of wool in a drawer is the only thing I don’t have. You did very well, great job. Thanks for letting me know about the tiredness. Much love from Layla and me.

I try to know more about the chest area. I feel my throat very strongly, the longs and a small point in the heart.
I ask her since when? A few months. How come? No answer.
Are you mirroring your mom Mary? Yes, I am trying to help her. She sighs. Your worries over her do not help, on the contrary. It feels like a dense energy in the throat. She gave me the following advice for you: Try to breathe better and more profoundly (stress and worry limit your breathing) Do more exercise, preferably with me she jokes 🙂 She needs to stand up more for herself, speak her truth. She can let go of this heavy energy by laughing, singing, whistling. Talking out loud to me, telling me her stories, I like that.I give her a belly rub and thank her.
Thank you Mary 🙂Btw – How did the Reiki session go?

Platinum MemberHi Mascha, Thanks for connecting with Layla again. I thought she may be mirroring me. I have had a strong talk with her about it, maybe now she will stop. I worry about her when she shows signs of health problems and if she doesn’t want me to worry so much, she should stop all this mirroring. I do sing, and she makes me laugh with her antics in the snow. I talk to her and read from a book to her. She has a positive Lyme test but doesn’t show signs of being sick so I am not worried about it. The reiki session was fine. Layla showed the lady that she was worried about my breathing. She has been trying to ground both of us. Her worry is sitting in her heart chakra area, we need more exercise and meditation will help with breathing also. I am so glad you spoke to her again. It helps to know what’s going on in her mind. Thank you so much. Love and blessings from me and Layla.

Platinum MemberHi Mary, thanks for allowing us to speak with Layla, and sorry for the delay.
When I connected, Layla came bounding up, close enough for me to touch her soft fur…it was a warm feeling. Her breathing is even, and she has a short, high pitched bark. Her temperature is warm, and energy feels strong. I don’t see the colors of the aura, just get impressions of green and yellow, and surprisingly, (never felt this before in anyone) some purple flashes. She shows me her right front leg…is there an issue there? And with her stomach?
She is very loving, and excited to talk to everyone. She seems like a fragile combination, for want of a better word….friendly, yet cautious around strangers. She likes being touched gently and stroked around the nape of the neck, and is comfortable in her body. She loves her warm, loving home environment.
She has fleeting memories of the past, and is an old soul…her job being to ground you and as a teacher. Her favorite thing is to sit near you and look out of the window.
I hope some of this resonates with you, given my lack of practice! Much love and gratitude to you and Layla.

Platinum MemberHello Nita, I am grateful you got a chance to talk to Layla. She loves talking to people. Could purple flashes be from the third eye? Intuition playing a part maybe. I am not sure of her right front leg being an issue. Maybe she hurt it playing in the snow. I will take a look at it. She is having problems with food allergies at the moment and we are doing an elimination with her veggies. She has some medicine from the vet to take. Homeopathic mixture of herbs. Layla is 7 years old. She has had reiki treatments to deal with some trauma in her past life. We go for walks to heal and ground both of us. She sits on the couch beside me and puts her head on my leg to look outside. She gets excited and barks at the dogs that walk by. She loves her neck and chest rubbed. You did excellent, I hope to be able to connect to animals soon.
Sending love and blessings, Mary and Layla. -

Platinum MemberThanks for your prompt feedback Mary, and generous comment….far from excellent, I just about made it!! Like you, I too hope to be able to connect, especially to my 4 in spirit. I’m glad Layla is getting homeo/herbs, those are the only ones I use for mine. I hope the reiki is helping too. It’s really tough dealing with past trauma…it caught up with 3 of mine, despite all my efforts. Much love and prayers for Layla, and you too. Blessings

Platinum MemberI’ve just connected with Layla. My first inage of her was her snuffling in the snow then bouncing around in circles – a real sense of fun about her.
I asked how she has been since I did some healing with her. I didn’t get any of the nerve pain I felt last time, just a deep itch behind my right shoulder blade.
My mind kept drifting whilst trying to communicate, so I asked if she had any tips and was told to stay in the moment and nap like she does throughout the day. She asked why people are always so tired and busy? I explained that many of us go to work and have a lot to do all day.
Her message to you Mary was that she loves you, but knows you know that. She wants you to stop worrying about her too. She said she’s ok. -

Platinum MemberHi Melanie, thank you for talking to Layla again. She loves the snow piles and rubs herself in them. She also likes to just sit outside on a snow bank and watch for doggies. She has some allergies to something new and I took her to her vet. He asked what was new and I told him so he said to do a food elimination. He gave her some herbs to take for her tummy and cream for her itchy bum lol. I am doing that with the veggies. She was mirroring me the last time you talked to her and I told her to stop. Her blood test came back as Lyme but she doesn’t have the disease, she is making antibodies to that disease so I am not worried about her. I have been napping with her throughout the day to catch up on my sleep. A mouse came upstairs probably to give me a message but Layla forgot about protecting it and chased it instead. Poor little thing. I reminded her about her job and she looked sad. I told her to leave it alone. I am getting mouse messages through some of the students because I am not able to connect yet. I am so glad you talked to her again, it has given me some peace of mind. You did a great job, don’t forget to rest when you can. Love from Mary and Layla.

Gold MemberHi
Sorry for the late response to Layla FTA. For almost a week, for whatever reason, I could not access my account to post my findings. I gave it one more go before contacting the support team. Intuition must have kicked in for ‘hurrah’ I finally succeeded.
Many thanks for allowing me to connect with lovely Layla
I do not read other members’ posts prior to my communications.
This is what I received from Layla’s point of view. Hope something resonates with you
Symbology: I often experience symbolic images, sounds, smell or feelings that have hidden messages that come via the communication. Have given a few possible explanations that may or not resonate with you. Symbolism meanings can be different to each individual person, therefore there are many other suggestions for you to check.. Anything jumps out with you then run with it.
When I connected with Layla she was a little over excited to greet me, sniffing, panting and bounding around. I patted and stroked her soft fur. back
Character: Gentle. Polite. Well mannered. Knowledgeable. Wise and eager to tell you everything. Can be nosy. Wants to know what is happening and not be left out of things or discussions
I’m good. Been on the walk. I like walks. Layla shared, when asked how she was today.
Would you tell me about it?in a nonsense manner, as though eager to relay the information. Layla shared
We walked along the boardwalk , what you call, pavements. Traffic lights stopped and mama and I crossed over. There was this cute white, fluffy dog daintily dancing on her toe. She had sparkling eyes and a pink bow in her hair. A ‘looker’ as you would say. Shared with Layla that I wouldn’t say that but understood what was meant. Layla had not seen the bog before and hesitated when asked if she would like to see the dog again. Yes and no , Layla shared. if I see her, that’s fine, okay. I don’t, that’s fine okay too..
Symbolic Meaning: White Dog. Often symbolizes purity, innocence, spiritual connection, protection, and guidance, drawing on the positive associations of the color white and the dog’s inherent loyalty and companionship.
Pink: Unconditional love, compassion and inner peace.
What else did you do on your walk?
Shown similar to a barber shop. A large round red, white and blue spiral rotating pole that often hangs outside a barber shop. We continued walking forward. To our right, a woman dress shop clothing with models wearing plain single coloured short sleeved dresses with Peter Pan collars. Sense this either a vintage clothing store or store in the 1930 – 1950s
Symbolic Meaning: Clothing. Outer self. Person identity.
Feel Kayla dragging me further along the street. Layla, head slightly bowed following a scent, as though in a hurry to arrive somewhere. I hold tightly onto one end of the red leash. The other end wrapped around Kayla’s neck. Sense an area to be checked.
Symbolic Meaning: Red Leash. Caution. Do not approach. Dog needs space.
It’s a sunny spring day with many people moving in all directions. Kayla stops and faces the store that sells ice cream similar to an ice cream parlour. Inside and outside small empty small black round tables with matching chairs await customers.
Symbolic Meaning: Ice Cream Parlour: It can symbolize a desire for indulgence, happiness, and joy in life
Empty Tables and chairs. A symbol of relaxation, also they are seats of authority. A physical reminder of changed circumstances.
Layla stops, sits on the haunches waiting. A man. viewed thru Kaylas eyes comes into view up to waist level. The man wears highly polished black shoes. Army coloured thick woven trousers with matching jacket with front pockets tied at the waist by narrow black belt.
The man bends down to pat Kayla and with tis action an army peaked cap with a center silver badge, similar to an eagle comes into view.Man’s face obscured. Man offers his left bent arm to the lady, who hooks her hand over the man’s elbow.I watch them walk side by side ahead. The woman wears a colourful printed dress with a wide skirt,, cap sleeves and in the style of the 4- 50s. A small white boat shape hat perches delicately on the back of her head
Symbolic Meaning: Uniform. A man in uniform taps into father figures, heroism, protection and power. Also suggests a chance for excitement and adventure.
Woman clasping a man’s arm. Affection and support to casual companionship or even a display of authority, depending on the context and the individuals involved. She likes you and your company.
To my left, shown a pram with a high carriage on four springed wheels. Hood raised as protection from the sun.
Symbolic Meaning: Pram. New beginnings, nurturing, and the potential for growth.
Gradually the couple obscured as people go about their business
Kayla at my side, glances at me with a sense of ‘knowing’ in her eyes.
I Felt what I was shown was very important to Kayla. To the equation of a past life for her or guardian, Kayla turns away to stare in the distance. Sense Klya can see the couple whereas I cannot.
Kayla chose purple as the colour to be wrapped around her. Suddenly my eyes fill with tears, My chest gripped by a tightness that I could hardly breathe.I feel an overwhelming sadness that there’s more to be told but somehow not at this time
Symbolic Meaning: Purple. Royalty, nobility, ambition, wisdom, peace and power. The beauty of Life.
Thank you Mary for allowing me to connect with Kayla and also thanks to Kayla for communicating and passing the message onto me

Platinum MemberHello Sandy, sorry for late feed back but we just got power back late last night and I have been cleaning and tossing stuff. It sounds to me like Layla took you down memory lane from probably both of us. Yes she wants to know what is happening and I explain everything to her. The last couple of days in the dark have stressed her and I explained why we were in the dark.
We do walk along a paved path near water and on a path that crosses the road. She gets excited when I bring out her harness. The white dog was a shitzu all dressed up for the cold. Layla greets the dogs and humans. As for the barbershop, that may be from her past, same as the description of clothing from the 30’s to 50’s. I was a small child at that time. we don’t use a leash on Layla because she has a damaged trachea so likely from her past as well. Layla does protect and guide me, she seems happy. I do share ice cream with her. I love your symbolic meanings. I think the uniform and those people may have been from her past. My father was in the army and married my mother in England, maybe she is looking at that. She has been dealing with her past life with reiki treatments because she needs some healing. I can understand the sadness as we do not know anything much about her first 5 years before she came to us. She seems to be looking for something when we walk near people. You did a great job. Thanks for talking to her.
Lots of love from Layla.
