ModeratorElizabeth B. has volunteered to host her Horse, Smokey, as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT) during September 2024. You will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.
We encourage all of you to connect with Smokey now and throughout the month.
Tune into Smokey first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from ‘tele’ meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and ‘pathic’ that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Smokey feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc. Ask Ashton ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.
Gold and Platinum members will have an opportunity to connect with Smokey along with Val on the Q&A call September 14th. Check your time on a world clock for call time of 11:30am Eastern / 10:30am Central Texas. World Clock at https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter-classic.html) Call reminder emails will be emailed to you. Also, call information found in your course materials.
Have fun practicing your communication skills in this supportive setting! Lots of interesting discoveries happen here.

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth and Smokey!
Today, 9/2/24, at 1:53 pm US Central Time, I reached out to Smokey. I sensed he is a rather young soul. He seemed calm, quiet, and at peace at the moment so I introduced myself and asked if he could talk. I am guessing he was giving me a yes because he immediately showed me that he had an itch on the back lower area of his neck under his mane and really wished someone would come and scratch it for him. He seemed annoyed by it and wanted it to stop itching. I told him I would let mom Elizabeth know and maybe she could brush or scratch there for him. He said “yes, please, that would be great”. 😅He said that he has been trying to deal with all the changes going on in and around his life right now but that overall, he is happy where he is and doing well. I asked him how he was getting along with Nicholas and he said he feels a little distant from Nicholas right now, on a spiritual and emotional level. He said that Nicholas has a lot going on in his life right now, too, but that they are both trying their best to cope and adapt. He said they will be close again when the time is right. I asked if Smokey ever sees Rose and he said that he doesn’t see her, she isn’t there. (Not sure if he just meant in that moment or that he never sees her because she is someplace else.)
I then asked Smokey if he dreams. He said he does dream but often they are bad dreams that make his head hurt. He said that the bad dreams have lessened, though, lately so he was glad of that. He then said he would really like to have something that brings him happiness. He wants something to lift his mood. I am guessing he may have had a bad dream lately and wants to have something happy to focus on to get his mind off of the dream. He said he would like a big hug, a fun toy, and someone to come out and PLAY with him! He needs a happy pick-me-up. I told him I would let his mom know.
I asked if he had any wisdom he wanted to share and I instantly felt his young soul again and he said he is still learning things himself and didn’t know what to share at this moment. He just kept bringing me back to how he wants someone to show him some love and attention at this moment and help him be happy. Bless his precious heart. I felt a tinge of sadness when he kept focusing on that towards the end of our chat. I sent him a lot of love and hugs and hoped that would hold him over for the time being. ❤️
I got a lot of feelings from him so hopefully I interpreted everything properly. If something doesn’t resonate, please let me know so I can make a note to look deeper into those particular feelings next time and better interpret his message. 🙂
Thank you for sharing Smokey with us this month! He has such a sweet soul! Sending lots of hugs and love to you both! 🤗

Platinum MemberHi Shelly! Thank you so much for connecting with my dear Smokey! It’s interesting that you said he was a young soul. I’m not sure how soul age is measured, but he’s a very old horse (in his thirties) and I always think of him as having seen it all. Maybe that means it’s his first time around the universe?
I’ll definitely give him scratches when I go out for evening feeding! We’ve had a serious hot spell here and I have a chronic condition that makes me super sensitive to the heat, so I haven’t been able to be out at the barn much lately. It sounds like he misses me, which both breaks my heart and makes me feel good, if that makes any sense. We do play when we’re together (we do clicker training) but we haven’t ridden in a couple of years due to my health. I wonder if he considers riding play, too, and misses it? Now that it’s cooling off, he might enjoy being ridden again.
What you said about Nicholas makes sense, although I have no way of objectively verifying it. They get along well, but aren’t necessarily friends yet. Rose lives in the house and while the horses see her when we take walks, they don’t interact with her. Maybe that’s what he means?
It seems strange to me that Smokey would want hugs, as he’s usually pretty standoffish, but maybe that’s just an act, ha! I’ll definitely try to give him a hug and see how he reacts. I do think he wants more attention, though!
Thanks again for connecting with Smokey; he is very much loved but I’m sensing that he really likes our little games and would like to do more of them. You did great!

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth!
Thanks so much for your feedback! I also don’t know how soul age is measured but to me, I have started feeling differences in each animal where some feel like they have lived many lives and their souls are “old and tired” yet very wise and some feel young like they haven’t lived nearly as many lives and are still figuring things out for themselves. As an example, Missy, to me, feels like she has been through many lives, gained a ton of wisdom, and her soul feels much older to me. For Smokey, I get a feeling of having a young soul, not as many lives experienced, and still strengthening his own wisdom. I could be way off the mark but this has been the only way I can explain the feelings I am getting from each animal. I am sure as my AC grows, I’ll be able to figure it out. ☺️I could have been off on the hug part and mistook his need for the itch to be scratched with your arms around his neck as you hugging him instead of scratching him. But I say still give the hug and see what he does. LOL 🤗
Your feedback is very helpful! Putting the feelings I get into words is still hard but I am getting better. I notice that as I grow in my AC abilities, the feelings I get come in so fast and strong and I have to slow down the video to catch what I can and make sense of it all. Thanks again! Hugs and love!! 🩷🤗

Platinum MemberHi Karyn! I can’t verify that, because although I know where he came from, I don’t know anything about that situation or what he went through before then. But what you felt corresponds to what I’ve felt, too, that he’s had some tough times. The animals that end up with me typically have had some rough handling–I used to run a rescue years ago.
Welcome and good job! Keep going!

Gold MemberHi Elizabeth — I made a point to wait to read other’s insights — at first glance at his picture, I get the sense that he’s VERY settled and happy in his home. Does he have a horse friend? A gelding?
Is Smokey’s right front hoof a little sore? He says it has not been sore for long. When I ask if Elizabeth can help with this, he says no. He needs/wants to see a farrier?
He says his favorite foods are apples, carrots and grains – hay definately comes in behind these. He would love to have fresh water every day. Smokey is very willing to answer questions and really enjoys participating as a FAT. When I ask, he confirms that he has been hurt by humans in the past. No one has hurt him in quite a while. He says there’s a dog where he lives – actually two dogs? He likes the dogs – they visit him, which he appreciates.
He loves being talked to. He also likes the idea of people singing to him, and says that this has happened in the past.
Has it been hot? He doesn’t love that. He claims he likes being sprayed with water? I got a picture of him getting sprayed then getting the zoomies, or running through a sprinkler.
He says he likes people but prefers women.
He says, “I’m so content to live my life out here. I’m safe and cared for and I’m in a small community of people and animals – I have my place.” Water keeps coming up – he would like to wade in some water, but does NOT want to go swimming.
I am a very new beginner at this – please be patient as I am still working on having confidence. Thank you so much for talking with me beautiful Smokey!

Platinum MemberHi Pamela! Thank you so much for talking with Smokey. You seemed to have a good connection with him! He does have a horse friend, a gelding named Nicholas. Nicholas hasn’t been here long, but he and Smokey seem to be bonding well. About his right front hoof, he doesn’t seem to be off, and a farrier isn’t due to come out for another couple of weeks. Nicholas, though, just pulled up lame today in his right hind leg. I wonder if there’s a connection? In any case, I’ll keep an eye out and make sure Smokey’s okay.
I’m glad Smoke’s is happy here. He used to have a girlfriend horse two farms over, and he would jump the fence to go visit her, but he hasn’t done that since she went to live in a retirement sanctuary. He does seem settled! I honestly don’t know a lot about his background, but I can sense he has been hurt by humans in the past. He doesn’t give his love easily, although he’s certainly open to being loved. He is my horse and seems to like me much more than my husband, so good job on that!
There are two dogs (actually three, but the third one is tiny) that visit Smokey. I’m glad he likes them! He does like being talked to, and I’d be happy to sing to him, as would my husband. It just never occurred to us to do so–thanks for that!
It has been crazy hot here! We haven’t hosed Smokey off because we were afraid that it would frighten Nicholas, but if it gets hot again, I’ll do it. The horses get fresh water in their trough every day, but the trough isn’t necessarily big enough to wade in. I’ll try to think of a way to get him something to wade in.
I think you did great, Pamela! Thanks again for connecting with my beloved Smokey!
Love and light,
Elizabeth

Gold MemberElizabeth, thank you so much!!!! This is so encouraging!!!
If you would like to give me any specific questions, I would be happy to keep working with him!
BTW he says he’s not in “terrible” pain – I think he may have a little discomfort, but he’s insistent about the front right hoof, and that the farrier will fix it.
He’s such a sweet guy, and was so happy and willing to connect! Thanks you for this opportunity!

Platinum MemberHello Elizabeth,
I just had a practice session with Smokey and would be intrigued to see if I got anything right.
I got that he lives in a hot place. I saw him putting his front legs up, particularly the left one. Lots of whinnying and snorting. Very joyful.
He almost shouted out: I love Elizabeth!
He isn’t very young but he says he isn’t old.
I see a food bucket with oat type mixture inside. He mischieviously says he wants more please! I get hte impression it’s a joke.
He’s energetic – loves to run. He’s playful. He gallops round outside.
AT first I saw a black horse, then a bit later I saw a brown mare. He says he doesn’t live alone.
I think he goes in a stable at night – not sure.
Is he sometimes lame in his front left leg? He says physio and diet will sort this. He’d love to be completely healthy. He really enjoys his body.
He doesn’t really understand human fear and hesitancy. I told him that my fear is that if I’m too spontaneous I’ll make mistakes. He said: stay connected to pure air and the pure earth and don’t lose touch with that.
i’m not sure if any of this resonates but thank you so much for the opportunity.

Platinum MemberHi Rosemary! I’m so glad you got to talk with Smokes. He’s a lovely character! I’m glad to hear that he feels joy and loves me, because I certainly love him, :-). He probably feels we live in a hot place–we live in far Western Kentucky where it’s been crazy hot this summer. It sometimes get really cold and snowy here, too, though.
We have one other horse, a brown gelding named Nicholas, who was brought in to be a friend to Smokey. Smokey used to live in a place where there were a lot of other horses just before he came here, but we don’t have any black horses or brown mares near us now. Maybe he was mentioning before?
Interestingly, you’re the second person who has mentioned his right front leg. He’s never off in his right front, but if he’s uncomfortable there, I’ll have the farrier and potentially the vet work on him. He and Nicholas can come and go into the stable at will, so he probably goes in often at night!
I love his message to you! He’s what horse people like to call a “Steady Eddie” so I can definitely believe he doesn’t understand human fears. I’m glad he doesn’t feel old–in horse years, he’s pretty old, but he never seems to feel it, and I’m thankful for that!
I hope this helps, Rosemary! Thanks again for talking with my boy!

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth,
Whilst connected with Smokey in the Q & A call today I initially saw an image of me grooming him. He was stood calmly whilst being groomed, almost meditatively. I felt a calm energy. I saw him eating straw and grazing in a field. I sensed that he likes to eat. I saw a ginger cat. I felt that he wanted to teach you to slow down, as you are so busy. I had a sense of an old soul and there isn’t much rush in him. The colour that cam into my head was blue when asked in the call.

Platinum MemberHi Melanie!
Smokey LOVES to eat! He also loves to be groomed, and does take to it meditatively, as you said. We have a ginger and white cat who lives in the house, but he escapes whenever he can. I don’t know what he does outside except climb a big tree within view of my window, but it’s quite possible that he visits Smokey! I totally think Smokey wants to teach me to slow down and I’m learning it little by little–you’re right; there’s very little rush in him. I got blue, too! I looked it up and it comes from speaking your truth or the truth about the world around you. That resonates with me about Smokey. He speaks truth about people and things around him every day.
Thank you for connecting with Smokes! He’s so precious to me. I think you did a good job!

Gold MemberHi Elizabeth, when I first looked at his picture, in milliseconds, I saw a bunch of white sparkle energy, I suppose it’s his aura. It was so intense, vibrant, and made me feel energized.
Comes across as having peace, the way he walked, so casual, seemed like he doesn’t get much concerned with things. He nuzzled my neck when noticed me. Does he like neck nuzzles? He appreciates his connections with others. And our appreciation of him is very special to him, he really appreciates that from us. He accepts and is open to sharing his energy to help us when we need it. I saw me and him laying and he was letting me cuddle him. I saw a hand rubbing his ears, I suppose that was me rubbing them. I was also drawn to scratching the back of his neck near the mane a little bit above the shoulders. He likes brushing to get those spots he can’t scratch. Seems like just behind his left armpit maybe gets a little itchy? That’s when brushing came up. I saw his yellow Chakra first without trying to see it, so i take that as his stronger of his chakras. That can mean alot but a sense of alignment with the universe seems to fit a lot. Definitely google more to see what resonates. Then looking for a secondary Chakra, was his blue Chakra. This one is expressing self genuinely and he seems like that! He did a big stretch. His muscles down his back felt dense, I can’t tell if it meant strong but seemed like they could use movement and refreshing. His demonstration of excitement was just a half turn and hop. Not super crazy like some horses. He likes proximity to diversity of other animals that are around on the earth. Made me think of fern gully. Is there any dense vegetaive/tree area nearby? The feeling of that is connection with earth and living as one in love with the other creatures. He sees his stable area off a distance and keeps tabs on it but would rather be more near the creatures.
I loved the experience with him. So gentle and it felt really good. I appreciate him.
Thank you too!!-

Platinum MemberHi Amber! I’m so glad you got a chance to connect with Smokey. He really is a blessing! The white, sparkly energy seems to indicate an angelic nature. He’s an angel under saddle, taking care of his rider completely and giving them confidence. Maybe he’s an angel who’s visiting us? The yellow chakra represents cheerfulness and resilience and that certainly characterizes Smokey. Regardless of what happened in the past, he’s overcome it and is cheerful and optimistic.
As far as dense tree cover, there is a grove of trees right behind his pasture. We don’t know who owns it, but Smokey likes to hang out near the property border, so that makes sense.
He does love to be brushed. He’s not a big cuddler, except on rare occasions, but I really enjoy those when it happens. I hope you enjoyed it too! He is very peaceful.
It seems like you got a lot! I appreciate your insights.

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth and Smokey!
It was so nice to get to check in with Smokey on today’s class call and I wanted to share what I got from him. When I first connected, I still immediately felt a youthful soul in him. I know some of the other students feel he is an old soul and my mind wants to just say “ok, I must have gotten that wrong”, but I have learned I have to trust my HEART and trust what the animals show me – maybe there is another explanation for why I feel differently on that as he still feels like a young soul to me. I know this is unverifiable, but I just wanted to share. 🙂I checked in with him to see if he got what he wanted from our last conversation taken care of. He said yes, you took care of that itch, and he feels much better now. LOL He said the hug from you was quite nice. He said it was still a rather new experience for him, hugs and all, but it was surprisingly very nice, and he enjoyed it. He said he felt like it gave him the “refill” he needed. He was rather surprised and said it was unexpected that he would feel this way, but he now realizes just how much he needed that hug from you at that very moment. He also said he hasn’t had any bad dreams since you hugged him, so he says thanks so much for that! He is asking that you hug him every so often to give him a “refill” so it will keep him going and keep him in a nice space. 🤗
When we checked energy colors in him, I saw pink and yellow all around him. I don’t know yet what those colors represent but I will look those up.
Lastly, I asked him how he was doing, anything fun happening today? He said there wasn’t much going on today, but he was good with that. Really just enjoying the quiet of the day and just “hanging out”. He said he isn’t craving attention today like he was the other day when I talked to him. He feels that hug you gave him gave him what he needed to “just be” in this moment, he is quite content today.
He is such a sweet fella. Thanks again for sharing him with us as this month’s FAT.
Lots of love and hugs! 🤗💕

Platinum MemberSandy! I apologize for not responding before now. I’m at a work conference and have been feverishly trying to get my presentation ready. It’s as ready as it’s going to be, lol.
Smokey very much about knocks you over with his enthusiasm, so his introduction to you feels authentic. You got his character absolutely right, right down to the somewhat cautious and standoffish-appearing personality. I think he would like more time with me, so I’ll do my best to make that happen.
He feels like an old soul to me, I loved his message about trusting ourselves, and his message to me about being in the right place at the right time. They feel right to me. I love my big guy and hope you’re able to communicate with him again! He loves it.

Thank you so much for connecting with him again, Shelly! I hope you get the chance to do it again before the month’s over.

Gold MemberSorry for the delay in sending this to you.
This is what I received during Sat Q + A call. Hope something resonates with you
Smokeys head is leaning over a coral type of fence as though waiting for me to appear. Shakes his head several times in greeting. I feel his excitement in talking to me and other members. Spouts of hot breath rushes from his nostrils. Smokey pushes his head towards my chest several times for petting which I do by running my hands down the length of his soft neck. Smokey pushes his head closer to my chest and neck, almost pushing me off balance.
Character. Majestic, proud, sensitive. Master of his world, extremely knowledgeable but not in an overpowering or intimidating way. Statuesque of a figure that other animals look up to and want as their leader. A little reserved that may appear to be standoffish but he is cautious and takes everything in his stride. An old soul. Sense he’s a power animal. Like the freedom of being on his own. Enjoys running as it gives him that energy to help humans and animals. He’s a teacher, protector. Uses his abilities wisely.
Sense he would like more interaction with his guardian.
Pale blue wisps form an aura around him. Sense and feel his energy is yellow and is at the Pinnacle of the highest being
I asked if there was anything he would like to talk about. He replied
I’m observing you all. Some lack confidence or assurance. That can change. Believe in yourselves. It’s easier to talk to us than you think or believe. Remember this
My body, particularly, chest area feels light and airy as he speaks those words
Ask if he is willing to talk again as there was not time now during Vals Q + A session and you were busy talking to other members. He agrees.
Smokey raises and lowers his head in quick succession while letting out an enormous neigh, that he is happy and willing to communicate at a later date
Smokey message for his mum, Elizabeth
Keep going. You are in the right place. A place you are meant to be at this moment.
Love SmokeySmokey requested to be wrapped in pink light because he says It is a lovely light warm colour
Thank you Elizabeth for allowing me to talk to smoky which I will do ag

Platinum MemberHello Elizabeth,
I had another try. I haven’t read previous posts because I’m trying to avoid my mind influencing me so forgive me if this is repetitive.
Smokey’s personality: kind, gentle, patient with a gentle sense of humour and playfulness.
He loves food. He was joking with me by trying to see if I had apple in my hand. He is confident of himself but not pushy .
Does he get a darker area on his back hips with some dappled spots?
He is very calm, and aware of everthing. He lives in an area of spacious countryside. I feel he is connected to all of it and surveys the energies and what is happeneing. He has quite a relaxed life and he likes this. He looks forward to you coming to visit. He showed me a picture of a person approaching carrying a saddle.
He is friends with the birds around.
He is an old soul. He helps to stabilise earth energies.
He likes to be stroked behind the ears and on the neck, firmly but not too hard.
He enjoys grazing with his friend. He likes to play in the paddock.
Message for you: Turn your hesitancy into thoughtfulness. Trust yourself more. If you have doubts, ask me, I will guide you. And I felt that he has a lot of life experience and wisdom from which to give.
Thank you Elizabeth and Smokey. 🙂-

Platinum MemberHi Sandy! Please forgive the delay in responding; I’ve been out of town at a work conference and when I got home, I slept all day. You got Smokey’s personality well–he is all of those things and more. He is also calm and very aware. It’s interesting that he showed you a picture of someone coming with a saddle. I haven’t ridden Smokey in a year because of my health and I’ve wondered if he misses it. It seems I’ve got my answer!
I love his message to me! He’s right about all that, and I will ask him for guidance. He is a very old horse but he doesn’t know it, ha!
Well done, Sandy!

Gold Member2nd communication with Smokey. Sun 29 Sep 2024 1544 to 1640 UK time
This is what I received. Hope something resonates with you.
Smoky is trotting around the paddock. It is a blue sky with few clouds, warm sunny, not overly hot day to be out and about. Blue sky
Smokey stops and trots over to me. Stroke him from ears to nose. He moves closer to be also stroked along his neck
He’s happy. There’s a lightness and energetic eagerness about him that something is or about to happen. He cannot contain his happiness. His whole persona has changed. He is the same Smokey yet changed
Asked, why are you excited. Smokey replies. Because Mum is considering riding me again. How do you feel about it. Replied. Very happy. I want her to ride me. To be ridden again.
Smokey knows that is what you want – to ride him again. But part if you is scared to do so,
He says. I am here to be ridden. In your heart it’s what you want to do. We will be whole again as one. Nothing is important.Smokey is wearing a bridle. Across his back a thick woven material juts out from underneath a saddle . He’s waiting for you. I hear all sound me this message Set aside your doubts. All is good, it’s up to you. Your decision, your. Your intention.
Smokey knows you have doubts but is making it clear, now is the time to be together. He’s standing tall and patiently waiting for you
Shown a black knee-high boot, place one foot into the stirrup ready to mount Smokey. Rider wears a white, throat high material under a black close fitting jacket A black hard hat adorns the head. Cream coloured jodhpurs cover riders legs. Brown narrow leather reins, held gently in the riders gloved hands. Smokey is minted and he and ride are one. With a tentative gentle tap by the riders foot onto Smokey’s side of his body they turn right to move away from the corral type fencing to walk around the paddock. They are united once more and are of one
Asked Smokey if he had a message for mum. He replied. It is all in the communication. Trust yourself. Trust me.
Asked what colour he would like to be wrapped in, he replied. Love. Then shown the colour pink radiating and engulfing Smokey and rider filling the surroundings in love and happiness. Silver stars and silver rain gently fell on them both. Once again they are united
Thanked Smokey for communicating with me and for receiving his beautiful message.
Please note. I am only passing on the information that Smokey gave me. I cannot make a personal comment as to the situation of what you should or not do.. It’s your decision alone.
During the communication, I felt I had been in a deep sleep to awaken yawning. Yawning is my sign that I have connected with the animal
Many thanks for allowing me to connect with lovely Smokey. Wishing you both well.
Will catchup with all your feedbacks asap – thanks
Please keep me updated. Thanks

Platinum MemberOh, Sandy, I’m crying. I’ve been afraid to ride Smokey not because of his health but because of mine. I take medication that sometimes makes me dizzy, and while I’ve never fallen off him, the thought has frightened me. I know Smokey will take care of me, and I’m so delighted he WANTS to be ridden again. One of my horse oracle cards that I pulled yesterday asked what would I do if I weren’t afraid…and Smokey came to mind.
We probably won’t be sailing over jumps like he loves to do (sorry, Buddy!) but we’ll definitely take a ride as soon as all the rain clears up!
Thank you so much, Sandy!
Love to you,
Elizabeth

Gold MemberHi
Many thanks for feedbacks – appreciated.
Happy for you that Smokey’s messages resonate with you and maybe given you more clarity and a way forward.
You mentioned you had checked with your horse cards on Sunday. I assume it was the same Sunday -29 Sep – that I communicated with Smokey and received a similar message.
Intention is a positive thing and makes things happens. Suggest make a plan of action to suit you both. Perhaps just sitting quietly on Smokeys back a few of how times to reconnect. At later time, a gentle short slow walk around the paddock. You know what to do as does Smokey. Trust yourself and Smokey
Wish you well and good progress. Please keep me informed how it is working out with you and Smokey
Take care Big hugs to you both

Platinum MemberDear Elizabeth,
I’ve felt drawn to talk to Smokey the first time I saw his picture. He has a unique blend of intelligence and humor in his aura, in his energetic field that only comes from life experience. He somehow urged me to get in touch with him. 😊
When I tunned into him, I am on green field, with some trees in a short distance, and I am behind a fence made of logs. As I get closer to him I see he is calm.
He measures me, ears moving back to front one at a time as he listens to my voice when I greet him saying hello. He is ready to talk, actually to teach.😊
He says to me: I am happy as I know I am only temporarily here. You should be too! Actually everybody should be in a constant state of happiness. I feel you.
I see his aura in beautiful rainbow colors as he opens up to me. 😊The colors are magnificent vibrating all around him reaching to me too.
I can’t stop and feeling that he allows me, so I stroked his neck with my right hand, as I need to hear him more. He hugs me with his head. The feeling is amazing, as he envelops me with sweet healing energy of love in the rainbow colored lights.
Show me something I can proof to your mom and myself that all this exists in our so called real world.
He shows me he is running with a woman on his back. She has tall maroon riding boots. He says he doesn’t like those boots as they feel uncomfortable when they touch him and the saddle is a hurting him somewhere around his upper chest, rubbing his fur.
I told him that I will let you know this, but I need something that humans perceive as something more real. He showed me a big yellow container, with something blue, sticking out of it. Maybe like a yellow trash container with a blue plastic bag sticking out at the edges. There is no mark on the container, or I don’t see it.
He than dashes in a fabulous circle run laughing and asking is this Ok for you?
He returns to me, and says: I will help you! I like teaching!
Elizabeth needs to be pushed!
To both of you: to succeed in life you have to live in the moment. No past, no future, just be in the moment and enjoy it. Live NOW! We are only temporarily here.
In that moment my friend in form of a cat Aston jumps and cuddles in my lap. I worry my connection might fade… I hear Smokey loud and clear: Look at him! We are all here to teach you to live in the moment! To just BE in the moment. Life’s good! Water is good! Food is good! Be happy!
He than nods with his head and turns around: I will take another run just for fun! You people must do something just for fun too!
I watch him dashing on a heartedly run on the big green field. He left a cloud of sparkling white light dust and hear him laughing, enjoying the moment at maximum.
===============================================
Well Elizabeth, I can honestly say that as every animal discussion is special in it’s own way, the connection I had to Smokey made me realize that, as humans when we set ourselves to do something, as this extraordinary animal communication, sometimes we strive so much that we lose the purpose on the way. We put too much effort and we get exhausted too soon instead of following all our friends, guides, teachers, guardians, angels disguised as animals: to just be in the moment. And when we do that, to be not in a random state, but happiness state. As Smokey told me: we are only here temporarily.
I can tell you with the hand on my heart that Smokey is a wise and funny and loving guide and teacher. He succeeded via this short connection to do more for me than just saying words of wisdom, he succeeded to share with me that loving state of living in the moment with happiness.
He succeeded to actually transfer to me that state… Amazing! It’s a one of kind experience to me that for sure, would like to experience again.
Hope I explain in a comprehensive way as English is not my main language, and sometimes even though I use it for more than 20 years, I lose some words, or I can’t find them. 😄It truly has been a heart experience for me…💗
Thank you Elizabeth! 🙏
I hope you can find something to resonate with, and for sure I hope you have a yellow container!😂Thank you dear Smokey! 💖✨💙

Platinum MemberLucia, what a wonderful experience you had with Smokey! I’m so glad he was able to give you that. Please forgive the delay in responding; I’ve been at a work conference and when I got back, I slept all day! The message resonates extremely well with me, because I don’t do enough just for fun. I love that Smokey is happy! That’s certainly his natural state. He has a sense of humor and I had to laugh when you said he almost pushed you over–that’s very much on par with Smokey. He doesn’t know or doesn’t care about human’s concept of personal space, ha!
The person with the tall maroon boots isn’t me, as I’ve never ridden him in tall boots, just short paddock boots. I think he might be showing you something from his past, because he used to be a jumper, which I’m told he loved. And we don’t have a large yellow container (we do have a large blue garbage container which resides in the barn, though). I thought about this for awhile, and I think I might have an explanation: long ago, I read an article about a scientific discovery that horses perceive some colors differently than we do. So don’t be discouraged! It could be that he’s simply perceiving blue and yellow differently. But you got the giant garbage container right–it’s directly in front of Smokey’s stall.
I’m so enjoying hearing everyone’s experiences!

At least he hasn’t had to many lifetimes here on Earth.
I feel divine origin and therefore the soul age difficult to point out.He came particularly for you Elizabeth in this life time. His purpose in this life is with you.
Oh! Just please give him 2 carrots and a big looooong hug from me too!

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth!
No need to apologize! Life is rather crazy and time is running too fast.
Thank you for your answer as you made me veeeery happy! 🤗
I haven’t practiced in a while, because I feel overwhelmed with the energy shifts happening around me and these dears are so sensitive about this too.I am so happy I got a tiny bit of his personality, and I am happy that there actually exists a trash can in the barn !!! (Who would have known that a trash can could bring so much joy? 😂)
I thought a bit about what you said about color perception in horses as I have read about this happening in dogs too though I must tell you that I have written in my notes blue trash can, and than crossed it over replacing with yellow 🤣.
This is a true demonstration of lack of confidence form my side!😄.
While the image in my mind’s eye was switching colors from yellow to blue, and vice-versa, I decided it is yellow with blue bag.
So, thanks for clearing this up for me!Good Smokey boy is emanating so much joy and kindness at the same time!
It’s a warm, relaxing and loving feeling when I connect with him and he radiates this pure calm loving state, that it is so easy to forget about everything and skip the details and just absorb the energy and enjoy the moment. What a beautiful soul, what a blessing he is!I have to admit to you that I had to write a happy b day card for one of my brothers in law, and usually when I do that for anyone, I want them to be genuine not just words copied from posts on the internet.
I must confess I used the above conversation with Smokey as inspiration!
Amongst other things, I have written that one must remember it is here just temporarily and should laugh more and enjoy life to the maximum. Each day and month and year is precious and we should enjoy life more and take time do something fun! Just for fun!
Thaaaaaaank you Smokey!Happy to learn that the tall brown boots are gone from his life.
Perhaps during his jumping contests he has been ridden by a not so sensitive woman. Good thing she Is in the past and now he can run free.
Still it intrigues me because I haven’t figured out why he has shown her to me, why did he complain about her?
Guess I will have to call him once more, but I won’t make any promise I can’t keep.Thank you so much Elizabeth!
Biiiiiig warm hugs to you and all your sweet fur friends!

Platinum MemberHi Elizabeth, thanks for allowing me to speak with Smokey, such a beautiful soul! I’m not looking at the earlier posts to remain neutral, and hope some of my limited insights resonates with you.
Smokey trots up briskly, watchful, one ear twitching, and looks around. He feels smooth and warm to the touch, and likes being stroked along the nape. His energy is medium and he is moderately extroverted. He enjoys sauntering in the sun.
Is there an issue with his balance on the left side? He is comfortable in his body, but has twinges of pain.
Smokey is very contented and loves his home. He misses his old companion but says it is the law of life.He is thoughtful, an old soul who says his job is to help you ground and be anchored. His advice to me is to be more patient (very apt!)
Thanks again to both of you, and love and blessings also to Nicholas, Rose and the others.

Gold MemberI spoke with Smokey while listening to the recorded call – just pausing when we got to Smokey’s part. Oh my gosh, what an experience! I didn’t even have time to introduce myself when he recognized that I must be one of his mom’s classmates. He was so eager to help me. I sensed a bit of a British accent and have noticed I seem to “hear” that sometimes with very wise teachers. I suspect that is a “me” thing unless he had another life in England. He immediately told me he is here to teach and asked what I need help with. I told him I need to learn to think less and feel more. He mentioned that is such a common human problem – always thinking and stuck in our heads.
Then I got the impression of, “You want to feel? Feel this!” Smokey then took me running – made me feel the freedom and joy he feels when running. It wasn’t like I was riding him, but like I was in his body experiencing what he feels. I thanked him for that experience. It was quite powerful and caught me by surprise. It FElT amazing!
I asked about his life – what it’s like where he lives and what he likes. I got the impression there were chickens around and possibly goats. Not right with him, but nearby. He likes running and eating apples. He loves being the FAT as he is a natural healer and guide.
As I was thanking Smokey and getting ready to go, he seemed to say, OK, I will see you next week then. It wasn’t a question. It was an assumption. He seemed to know he can help me and expects me to come back so he can teach me more. It made me smile, knowing he was inviting me to continue working with him with him as my teacher. Such a wonderful, caring soul! I plan to talk with him again. It feels like refusing a gift, otherwise.

Platinum MemberHi Nita! I think Smokey is a lot like you described: moderately extroverted. He’s also one who holds back and doesn’t give his affections easily, but I think he loves to give his advice! He does love just sauntering in the sun.
I’ve never noticed any issue with balance on his left side, but it could be something minor that I wouldn’t notice unless I was riding him. He hasn’t been ridden in about a year because of my health, but he’s still able to be ridden. I’ll make sure to look for it. I’m so glad he loves it here! He’s very much loved and appreciated.
I love that he feels his job is to ground me. I’m someone who spends a lot of time in my head, so that’s something I definitely need.
Good job, Nita! I think you did great!
Love to you and all the dogs!

Platinum MemberDakota, I love that Smokey expects you to return to speak with him. Your experience running as him sounds wonderful! I don’t think there are any chickens or goats around–there used to be goats, but I don’t know if he was here when the goats were. No chickens, I’m afraid.
He is a wonderful, caring soul. It doesn’t surprise me that he has a lot to teach. He’s amazing!
Thanks so much for communicating with him, Dakota! I look forward to learning more about what he says to you!

Gold MemberElizabeth,
Thank you for the feedback. I was so charmed by Smokey. I must have made up the chickens or it was just a passing thought. I got it when we first connected and then not anymore. The goats also felt distant. Maybe it was distant in time. No matter. It was a wonderful experience. You’ve got a special guy. ❤️ -

Platinum MemberSmokey – a beautiful white horse
9/30/24 – 10:51 am Central Time
As I started to set up my page in Word to take notes of my conversation with Smokey, I was pleasantly surprised by feeling Smokey’s spirit close by me and I immediately saw a memory of when I was a teenager, and my adopted parents took me to one of their friends home for a BBQ.
I feel Smokey thinks this memory is funny. While there I rode (or attempted to ride) on of their mares with one of their daughters down a slightly worn path through the woods.
I had loved riding this horse in the past, but this time I rode her bareback. As we started off,
The mare I was on decided to pass everyone else and as she did, I started to slide to my right and out of no where the mare stopped. Then she slowly turned around and looked at me. Her expression was priceless. The rest of the two-hour ride went the same way. Gallop, Gallop, stop, wait for me to adjust myself, then gallop again.
I have happy tears welling up because I have not thought about that day and experience for many years.
Smokey knows how wonderful and precious that memory is, especially because it was the last time I was able to visit them.
I am thinking, thank you Smokey you lifted my heart and mind today and that is a huge blessing!
Smokey’s spirit has pulled back now and I sit here typing on my laptop my heart is full of joy, and I sense the healing that has taken place within me.
I am so grateful. A hug and thank you to Smokey and Elizabeth B.

Platinum MemberHi Patty,
I just posted my accountability this week and Smokey caught my eye. He seemed to jump out to me and connect with me. He told me love is the key to communication and that Val is right. Through love we are all connected. I got an image of horses all over connected in consciousness, then felt a connection to other animals and trees.
He said that is all I need to know right now and I got an i.age of hime turning around and walking away.
It was very profound and just what I needed to hear. Please give him a big hug from me xx-

Silver MemberHi Elizabeth,
Here are my impressions, pls take only what resonates with you :
In general, Smokey talks all the time. Also to himself. Inwardly, he is not quiet. All those comments and questions. About anything, everyday things. Giving his opinion about things.
There’s another person (he likes that person) who looks after Smokey when Elizabeth is not around, and that person is telepathically bombarded with these questions all the time without realizing it. Very funny. “Where’s Elizabeth? Is she coming? Why is she not coming ? When is she coming? Is she okay?”
He likes people being around and working around him, he likes being talked to and likes to hear humans talk to each other. He loves animal or human companionship. He likes action/movement in the sense of not being alone, everyday things going on around him. To give you another example, he would love chickens wandering around in the yard. He would talk to them too. He talks to everybody.
He really appreciates not being alone, having Nicolas with him. Nicolas is important to him, a horse friend who behaves like a horse, talks like a horse and understands him, smells like a horse etc. etc. Nicholas does not nearly think as many thoughts as Smokey. If Nicholas was a female, only then could Smokey appreciate him even more. But having a buddy is good too, Smokey says. In the way he speaks Smokey is neither witty nor sarcastic, he is just very friendly and a really nice guy.Smokey is very ‘young at heart’. He’s comfortable in his body, he does not think about any ailments. In his thoughts, he is focused on others, not on himself.
I do not feel any trauma around him from earlier on, if there would have been he is not hanging on to it. He lives in the moment, is very present and happy. (I think he is a great teacher about not hanging on to old stuff, no should haves/could haves/would haves etc. Life is happening now).He wants to experience life with you, Elizabeth, even if that just means spending time together, “breathing the same air” next to each other is good enough. If allowed, he would want to follow Elizabeth around like a dog.
He is very curious and wants to be part of everything that is going on or at least to be informed about it. I feel he loves when a certain bucket is being brought over. This gets all of his attention. His thoughts go like this ….« What is in that bucket ? I wonder what’s in that bucket. I’d like to put my head into it… etc. »You asked me earlier whether he feels left out when Nicholas sometimes needs more of your attention. No, not at all. He looks after Nicolas too. And with regards to you, Elizabeth, Smokey feels he is an “anchor” for you, “she can lean on me”. He is a lovely guy indeed.
Gabriela
PS: Good advice you gave about feeding Shiloh, I see Smokey moving his head up and down confirming.

Platinum MemberThank you so much, Gabriela! I loved your communication with Smokey, as it really resonated with me. I think Smokey would love to have chickens around–you’re the second person who has mentioned them to me. We have a random pet pig (we have no idea where she lives or who she’s associated with, but she seems well taken care of) who visits us sometimes, and Smokey is always interested in her. I bet he talks to her and tells her this is a safe place to visit!
I love spending time with Smokey. He seems to want to be ridden again, so I’ll be moving toward that. which I think we’re both excited about! And he IS curious about everything. He adores food and especially his food bucket. He always puts his head in before I can get it poured into his trough, ha!
I feel I can learn a lot from him about letting things go. He’s a master at that. And I’m so glad he appreciates and takes care of Nicholas.
Thank you for communicating with Smokey! He’s a darling. And that’s for confirming what I got from Shiloh. I hope Patty sees it!
Elizabeth
