Hi all
As I said on the call today, Zwerg crossed over at 4am today.
It seems that she had come to learn how to trust. The first 2 years of her life, she didn’t trust anyone. There was no way to get close to her or touch her. Then her sister was hit by a car. I was devastated, because she was the exact opposite, she hopped in my lap as soon as I sat down and snuggled in my arm while I was working on the computer. From the next day, Zwerg took over. She came for pets and started sitting close to me. But she remained scared of other humans and never got close to any other animal. For the next 14 years she lived on her own and only came to the house at night for food and some cuddles. Then she got very sick about 3 months ago. She could not even sit any more, but she kept eating and drinking. I was thinking about euthanasia, but had a feeling she was not yet ready. So she went to the vet on a daily basis and made a remarkable recovery, After she had gained enough strength, I let her roam the house freely. She followed me into the kitchen, made contact with the other cats and even slept between the 2 dogs. Now that she had learned that last lesson she was finally ready to go. Over the last few days she rapidly declined, she hardly ate and drank, she lost all strength. 4his morning she gasped for air 3 or 4 times and then she was gone. She accomplished what she had come to do. Now she can think about new life lessons.
Love and hugs to all of you here in our group.
